The sloppy Jeaux was perfectly balanced and seasoned and I must say that sandwich roll could open a bakery on its own. The bolognese pizza was actually a great spicy chili pizza with a few dollops of rich savory shredded bolognese sauce. It works perfectly. The pizzas are appetizer size id say, being 200lbs myself. I'm renting an Airbnb in the neighborhood bc I'm working in Atlanta for a few months and I just found this spot. I read some reviews and someone was raving about the Sloppy Jeaux sandwich. I'm a new Englander living in SoCal and in the south working for a few months and gumbo isn't usually in the forefront of my mind. I decided to order it and first of all, it was gorgeous. I don't know if they bake their own bread but it was delicious and when I cracked the top of that bun open to see what was inside and what a beautiful sight it was. Such a little gem! Stopped off here after touring the westside breweries. Can't wait for the beltline to be finished, but we were still able to make it here on our mountain bikes. The food is beyond excellent and also original and the prices are super fair. Every item was made scratch as we ordered. All the flavors are excellent and familiar, yet everything seems to have its own unique touch. The hummus is a must! Even if you don't like hummus. Definitely start with this. I promise you will regret not buying it. The bread it is served with is also addicting. Some shaded tables are available to sit at just behind the storefront. The Fertile Crescent might be the best sandwich I've ever had. After some tweaks since opening they've achieved next level status. I can't speak to the pizza, but the wood fired pita bread is incredible. The hummus is excellent as well. The new outdoor seating out back away from the busy street is a great addition. I can't say enough good things about this place. Really cool owners too. The only thing more I could want would be an option for a smaller side of hummus to eat along with my sandwich. read more

I've lurked on Yelp for over a decade. This is my first review...because I truly can't contain myself. Firewall is an absolute gem. Get there ASAP. I find myself making excuses to go to the westside just to pick up their hummus bowls. Yesterday I celebrated getting my first COVID vaccine at the Benz by driving another few minutes west to pick up dinner before coming back east. Everything is amazing, but the hummus is unlike any other in the city. Add zhoug for $1 (trust me) and the delicious chicken for $4. Be sure to add an extra made-to-order (!) pita if you're sharing with someone else. I implore you to do this. I told my wife that eating their hummus is like eating the brisket from Franklin BBQ in Austin - it will forever become the standard to which you compare every other hummus to, and you'll probably stop ordering it from other restaurants as often because you know it won't compare to the hummus at Firewall. Pro tip: Order online in advance. Firewall isn't fast food in any sense of the term. So much care is put in, but it takes time, and their estimates after placing the order are usually pretty spot on. Park on the street or next to the corner market. And stop in the market while you're in the area for an unexpectedly amazing selection of drinks in the fridges and candy on the shelves (in addition to other cool stuff). That place across the street with the line of people outside isn't Firewall (it's Slutty Vegan), but if you ask me, the line outside Firewall should be twice as long. read more

I actually really enjoyed my Rancher pizza and my Hummus with the Cauliflower shawarma as I expected them to be great! But I was so shook by how rancid the Southern Italian was! I love both collards and pork shoulder but something was up about the sandwich so I made my entire family try it and they all couldn't even down a bite. Wow! Stopped by for the southern Italian sandwich and it completely surpassed any expectations. The perfectly cooked salted sesame bread is cooked on the spot for your sandwich. WOW!!! Just had the Southern Italian sandwich and it was so fresh and tasty!!!!! The flavors are so amazing, you can taste every part of the sandwich and it goes together so well. Chatted with Sam, the owner, while he cooked my fresh bread he gave me a sample of his fresh made hummus and pickled vegetables and wow they were so good also! Come on now...pizza is one of my fave comfort foods..as I'm sure for many, so when I found out this food truck was finally up and running, I was quite excited to try it out! It offers fresh ingredients from the good ol' marguerita pizza, the folded greek (which actually looks like a sandwich!) to the lobster pizza to the spicy sausage with prosciutto! All choices are quite yummy, but I must say the lobster is one is of my fave! The crust is made to perfection, know why? because it has it's own built in wood burning oven! and the staff is so nice and welcoming! I happened to see this truck in Doral, and their cool design plus the fact that there wasn't a wagon circle of trucks around it, piqued my interest. Well lucky for me, I picked the right place to have my first food truck experience. Much to my surprise, Firewall had an actual wood burning oven inside guaranteeing my pizza was made fresh on the spot--and it was heavenly...I recommend the lobster pizza (I almost ordered a second), but by the looks of the pizzas that other people were getting, it doesn't seem like you can go wrong with any of their menu options. I am in love with this truck! I will follow them wherever they go and pray that they'll never leave me. A little dramatic you say? You don't understand. I tried the pizza yesterday and it was truly one of the bset pizzas I've ever had. I originally saw these folks featured on Thrillist and liked them on FB. Yesterday, I just happened to see their post stating that they were at the Flamingo Road Farmer's Market from 11-3. It was destiny as the market is about 10 minutes away from my house. It was a scorching 94 degrees outside but I still wanted the pizza. I met Katie who was extremely helpful in assisting me in making a decison about what pizza to get. I really wanted the lobster pizza but they were fresh out as they get their lobster fresh (nothing bagged and frozen here)! I opted for the arugula insalata pizza (I think that's the name) topped with pepperoni. 8 minutes later, my pizza was ready. I took my 1st bite and came to the conclusion that they had a customer for life! The pizza had the perfect crust, not too thick and not too thin with the right amount of crunch! The pepperoni was fresh, the arugula gave the pizza a great flavor and it wasn't drowning in marinara sauce. To accompany my pizza, I tried one of their italian sodas. I told Katie about my fear of it being too sweet and she reassured me that she can make it as sweet as I want by adding more or less club soda to the drink. She suggested the strawberry and rosemary mix with a hint of the lemon lime and mint flavor. It was AMAZING!!! The rosemary gave it such a unique flavor and it wasn't sweet at all! I am a pizza fanatic and consider myself a connoisseur of sorts when it comes to pizzas. You name it, I've tried it. I must say that Firewall's Pizza stood out for me. It was just a perfect combination of simple ingredients packed with flavor! I'm looking forward to trying their lobster pizza in the near future! My fiancée and I have been eager to try this place since it opened. Last night we went for dinner since we knew traffic would be light. I got the Farmer Pizza which was delicious. The sausage and sweet peppers made for a good mix of sweet and spicy. The mozzarella was the perfect amount and the crust was well done. I really liked the pizza, but I also got a Southern Italian sandwich that I saved for later and I am glad I did. The pork shoulder, provolone and hot peppers were a great combo and the seeded bread really brought the whole sandwich together. I will be back and I will definitely get this sandwich again. My fiancée is a vegetarian and she got two hummus bowls and loved them. The hummus had a really good consistency and the flavor was delicious and the pickled vegetables went perfectly with the awesome hummus. We ate this for dinner last night and lunch today and I am already thinking about going back for my next trip. Also, the owner Sam is super nice and happy to answer any questions you may have about his menu. I highly recommend Firewall Food Stop! read more

I walked in & the smells immediately told me this place was going to be good! I knew I wanted the hummus, but then I saw the sandwiches & the Southern Italian caught my eye because it reminded me of one of my favorite Philly sandwiches - pork, greens, sharp provolone - only this one has collards instead of broccoli rabe. I got both & they are phenomenal! The bread that comes with both is fresh, crunchy and delicious. Go now & support this place! BTW, it's a very small little walk in joint where you can only order at the counter but there are tables outside. Next time I will try the pizza!! read more

Had an excellent meal here! The Southern Italian sandwich and the hummus bowl -- which I got with roasted cauliflower and garlic confit -- were outstanding and the Gardner pizza was solid. Just the fresh pita that comes with the hummus bowl is worth the order. It's a small space, but comfortable, and the staff is friendly. If I lived in Atlanta, I would eat here regularly; until I return, I'll be daydreaming about that pita and hummus. read more

I used Firewall Food Stop for the catering at my wedding in March, and could not be happier with how everything turned out. The reception venue had a place for Food Truck parking, so we had them bring the truck over, to prepare and serve the guests at our wedding. The food was delicious, and we have heard nothing but rave reviews from the guests that attended the event. Sam provided an awesome buffet line, as well as wood fired pizzas for the main course (cooked on the truck). The buffet included their specialty sandwiches/hummus/veggies/appetizers, so guests could eat some smaller dishes, while they awaited their pizza orders. Our wedding had approximately 130 guests in attendance. With that many people, the main issue we wanted to avoid, was prolonged waiting times for pizzas. Sam's planning and expertise ensured everything went off without a hitch. I would HIGHLY recommend using them for any/all catering needs! They are the best! read more
