Craving a great classic burger!? Fred's got it!…read more Mine was delicious, perfect combo, classic ingredients, amazing flavor. You're inside Krog Street Market, so the ambiance is already nice, me and my friends got lucky to find at spot at their table, but there's plenty of room at the market. Service was fast, friendly and helpful.

This was my first time making the walk from Ponce City Market to Krog Street Market, and honestly, that was part of the fun. Krog Street Market was a little smaller than I expected, but it was lively--and Fred's Meat & Bread seemed to be responsible for a pretty significant percentage of the crowd. I've been to another Fred's location before, but that visit was all about the cheesesteak. This time, I had one mission: the burger stack. And the first thing that hits you is the bread. Soft. Pillowy. Almost ridiculously good. It's the kind of bun that makes you stop for a second and appreciate the role bread can play in a burger. The burger itself is well seasoned and packed with flavor, but here's where I struggled. It's rich. REALLY rich. So rich that by the end, I was wishing for some kind of sauce or acidity to cut through it. Something to break up all that richness and keep me going back for another bite. But the pomme frites? Now THAT was the highlight. These weren't just fries thrown on the side. They felt elevated--crispy, delicate, and somehow giving me the feeling that I should be sitting at a little café in Paris instead of standing around Krog Street Market. Easily my favorite part of the meal. Fred's Meat & Bread is clearly a big deal in Atlanta, and I can absolutely understand why. There's real technique here, and the burger is certainly a valiant effort. But Atlanta has given me a LOT of burgers, and I've had quite a few elsewhere that I enjoyed more--and, more importantly, didn't leave me feeling like the burger was sitting on my chest afterward. Valiant effort. Great bread. Excellent fries. But for me, the burger didn't quite live up to the hype.

Absolutely worth every bit of hype and way above my high expectations. Atlanta has been graced by…read morean elite-level sandwich spot. I'll put it right there with Fred's. The owner told me someone once said Atlanta isn't a sandwich city, which is baffling. We are! It's just that no one wants to open a good sandwich spot. Featuring outdoor seating only, this is a charming spot right in the middle of a neighborhood intersection. We ordered at the window and ate out on their patio. The owner is a true gentleman--I'm so glad we got to meet him! He paired my sandwich with a nice pineapple Jarritos and suggested we try his homemade pasta salad. Y'all, this sandwich was on another level. We got the Jack's Fish Market, and it was freshly made and uniquely good. I can't say I have ever had a sub quite like it. It's going right up there with the Korean cheesesteak from Fred's and Hattie B's hot chicken sandwich as one of my favorite ATL sandwiches. I split it alongside the pasta salad, and that was more than enough food. Bottom line: if you live in ATL and haven't been here yet, shame on you. It's a very casual spot with unique flair, a great owner, and mind-bending food. Can't wait to go back!

If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go check out Hudson and Alphonse Deli…read more I had to come on here and give a major shoutout to Sammy, the cook and founder. From the moment I called in, his customer service was top tier. Professional, warm, and intentional. He made sure my order was right, sent a quick payment link so things moved efficiently, and had everything ready by the time I arrived. That's how you run a business. When I pulled up, he greeted me with a smile, brought my food out, and confidently told me I was going to enjoy it and he was absolutely right. I originally planned to grab my food and go, but his energy made me slow down, sit, pray, and actually enjoy the moment. I asked for a lime Jarritos, and he recommended pineapple instead to pair with the jerk seasoned wild caught salmon sandwich. That recommendation was on point and really elevated the whole experience. That sandwich hits. Every bite pops with flavor across your entire palate. The salmon was perfectly cooked, juicy but not soggy. The kale had the right crunch. The onions tied everything together. And that homemade garlic butter on the salmon took it to another level. It's a creative spin on a traditional cheesesteak. I'm sure the beef options are great too, but if you want seafood, this is the move. I've had a Philly cheesesteak in Philly before, and honestly, I don't need to go back. When I'm in Atlanta, I'm coming here. Sammy, thank you for the hospitality and the intentionality behind what you do. You didn't just serve food, you created an experience. Thank you for praying with me. I will definitely be back.
