5/5. If it was on a 10 scale rating, it would be a 9/10 due to the service/experience there, but I can't take a Yelp star away from this place. The Philly's are A1 all around. Flavorful, filling, and hands down best Philly Cheesesteak I have ever had. I order the Philly Cheesesteak and add jalapenos. The sandwich is massive. I usually eat half then save the other half for later. It heats up well. They do not skimp on the meat whatsoever. I can't imagine paying for extra meat. I tried the Mushroom cheesesteak and would add mushrooms to mine next time as well. The fries are crinkle cut and are average. However, the sandwiches are flavorful and tender. You can see the moistness through the bag upon delivery. The meat is seasoned perfectly and, for me, the jalapenos add the perfect amount of heat. Highly (and I can't stress this enough), HIGHLY recommend placing your order for carryout. We came for lunch and you can no longer order inside and wait for your food. The employees come outside and take your order. They have TV menus facing the outside and will provide paper menus on request. We ordered 4 sandwiches, 2 fries, and drinks and were told it would take 30 minutes. It took all of those 30 minutes for us to get our food. They do provide chairs outside to wait, or you can wait in your car. They bring you your order once it is finished. Everyone that I know that has eaten here says it is hands down the best Philly in the Atlanta area. Give it a try and spread the word! read more

Ok-service improvement needed. Ever have a taste for something that you know to be so amazing? You've not had it in a long time. Well, yesterday I decided to place an online order, as the only option to do so. After selecting 2 items, a chicken Philly and fries, with fees attached totalled $40+ bucks. No way would I appropriate my hard earned coins at that cost. So, I decide to take a drive there this evening. Only to stand there for 10 minutes before I could grab anyone's attention to place an order, and ask how long the wait looked like. Gets better though. Upon review of the menu, the prices are literally stacked $5 additional dollars for on-line ordering. Welp, the order runner tells me the wait for walk up orders is 45-50 minutes. Lastly, they've got 4 order runners waiting around to hand deliver orders to your car, and only 2 negros on the grill. Why are the order runners not being trained to work the grill? Needless to say, I will not be returning!!!!! What an epic disappointment. read more

The food was hot and fresh and overflowing. Though I got the jalapeño and banana peppers removed it was still spicy for some reason. The bread was also so soggy it was dripping and fell apart. Being a previous Stone Mountain resident, this place is a gem. Downtown Stone Mountain truly has some good other eateries in the area. This is a drive up and pick up spot so there is no where for you dine in, however this is by far one of my favorite cheesesteak spots. If you pull up, they will come out and take your order from your vehicle. I usually (and personally) will order online or call in only because these footlong sandwiches are truly cooked to order. Allow yourself time because it takes between 30 minutes to an hour [at minimum] because they truly are THAT busy. If you order fries with a call in/online order, they won't cook them until you arrive which I APPRECIATE. I got my cheesesteak and fry order right before the lunch rush within about 20 minutes today though and I was happy! read more

I used to regular this spot when I lived in Stone Mountain. Their Philly subs are some of the tastiest in Atlanta. Service is a little slow, so order ahead of time. There isn't any seating to eat at their location, so expect to grab and go. The location is literally a shack in the middle of Stone Mountain near a rail road. I've never had any issues with the staff and while there, they have been pretty fun and energetic to talk to. I wish they didn't close the location on the west side, because now I can't get their Philly's here where I'm living. It was one of the better spots to order over Uber Eats. I think they opened the location near pendemic and I guess things just didn't grow as much during those years. I've passed this place for years on my way to the mountain and decided to stop and try them today. Cheesesteak is mid at best, nowhere near the best in Atlanta or sourounding areas. My sweet potato fries were not fully cooked and I needed the ranch sauce to make them taste like something. Interesting place. I am from Philly, and this is pretty much a real Philly cheese steak. Very good. You can't go inside. They come out to you and taker your order. Then they bring it back when it is ready. Eat in your car or take it with you. Great test of a steak sandwich: I had to change my shirt after eating it and squirt Shout on the grease stains. When first arriving, it took us around 10-15 minutes just to place our order. After placing an order, it took a full hour for us to receive our food. They do not allow you to go inside the business, you have to wait outside. They are very unorganized and do not have a working system in place. After waiting an hour to receive our food, it was not even hot. So for this review, Imma teach you how to eat here. It's good. You should eat here. A few rules though. 1. Don't be in a rush. You may have to wait. It's good and someone else wants to eat too. 2. Whatever you want, get extra, with the exception of the meat. They'll provide plenty for their sandwiches, but get extra cheese. Extra mayo. Extra whatever it is you requested. Do this and you should be full and happy. 3. It may require a "practice" order so you'll know how to customize your "sammich" for you. It's worth it. 4. They have always been polite. Folks get frustrated due to the wait, but good food requires some planning or patience. You can plan your order at a less busy time or be patient. Did I mention it is black-owned? I never told you guys how great this place was?! Insane. Let me start by saying my first Philly in life was from Philly so the standard is high. This place meets that standard! Now service can be slow and it's all take out so thinking order sit wait and then you food to go more then "fast" but it's slow in this case is wholly on how good it is. I always get the Hoagie personally and if you order the fries they don't drop them until you arrive to help avoid soggy fries. But ordering early so your ahead of yourself in time is good. Parking is odd. All of it is worth it. On hoagie from here can make me full itself. You are absolutely getting taken care of. It really blows me how ppl want good and fast. Something's take time. I have watched the quality of the food diminished over the years. At one time, the food was really good. It is definitely not the same as it was 10 years ago . Today my cheese steak was dry and had an off-putting taste to it . I called the restaurant and attempted to speak with the manager, he wouldn't come to the phone. I.was told that salt and pepper was the only seasoning used so I must conclude that the meat itself had a wierd taste, which leads to the quality of the product. It has been several years since I have eating here and I should have learned my lesson then. This is the worst restaurant in Stone Mountain GA. The wait time is UNBELIEVABLE and the guest service is served with an attitude with a tall glass of I don't GAF. Support your local business and this is what you receive. Unless you have the time, this place is not worth the wait. Parking is a pain; it's extremely difficult to leave. Most of the parking is angled right in front of the shop. The sandwich and fries we ordered were just ok; $41 and change for two cheesesteak sandwiches, two fries, and one drink. We waited over a hour from the time we ordered and I'm still convinced we only received our order when we did, because I inquired about the wait 12 - 13 minutes prior to receiving our food and I stated I would demand a refund, if I didn't have our food within the 10 minutes they stated it would be ready. After 10 minutes, I requested a refund and was advised "he's wrapping your order up now". They finally brought our food about three minutes later. I will never return, not worth the wait. If it wasn't for my colleague, I would have asked for a refund a half hour earlier. read more

I always come here for the chicken Philly! Its always hot & fresh! I've had phillys from Philadelphia & this place is close to being that good, but the meat itself is NEVER seasoned . Which is one of my reason for the 3 stars. The other reason is because its $13 for one sub. No sides. No chips. No drinks. Since I couldn't take my side trip to Philadelphia, and search of delicious cheesesteaks, this was the next best thing. My brother told me about this place and highly suggested that I visit and I am glad I did because these Philly cheesesteaks are loaded and very delicious. From the other reviewers saying that there was a wait I made sure I planned ahead and was ready to wait but luckily I got here while there was a small window of them not being too busy and was able to score some good food. They just keep it simple with their formula for a good Philly cheesesteak and it's working. And the bread is so soft. I noticed that they do bake it in the shop and it makes the world of difference. I will definitely come back here again. For parking it's either In the front or you can park in the lot at the old train station and head over. read more
