My fiancée has always ordered from Juicy Jerk, but this was my first time visiting in person. Pulling in can be a little tricky--I ended up parking at the tire center next door and walking over. The inside is small, with no seating, so it's mainly set up for Uber Eats, DoorDash, or quick pick-up orders. There's no clear signage or direction when you walk in, and with the number of people standing around, I had to ask if they were waiting for their orders or in line. We placed a to-go order, and although they quoted 20 minutes, it ended up taking about 45. Honestly, I didn't mind--because their food is always worth the wait. We ordered the small jerk chicken meal ($9.75) and the large jerk salmon meal ($18.50). Each comes with rice and peas plus cabbage. My fiancée asked for more cabbage than rice and peas, and they definitely delivered. The food was piping hot and fresh--the chicken was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor, while the salmon was tender and flaky without being overcooked. They only have two sauces--mild and hot--and fair warning, the hot sauce packs a serious punch. First time trying this spot out. I'm a huge fan of jerk chicken so when I came accords this juci jerk I had to stop by. I ordered their large jerk chicken meal it comes with rice and peas and cabbage. My total was $19.74 but I did leave a tip; about $2 and some change. I ate the same plate twice. The jerk chicken is so far the best I've had in Atlanta. The rice and peas were really good: cooked perfectly. The cabbage I had was not the next it was more stalk than anything but I can say the softer parts I did have, had good flavor. I tried their mild and hot sauce for the chicken. Babbbyy the hot is hot! Even mixed with the mild. Now I love hot food so I ate the hot sauce until I just couldn't even more but will I get it again yes, just enjoy the burn lol. It is a to go spot so no seating but you can wait inside for your food. Parking is available and it was easy for me. I recently stopped by this Jamaican eatery to try out their famous ribs. I heard that they get crowded and sell out of items, so I arrived shortly after they opened on a Friday. The restaurant is compact. There are no tables, so you have to take your food to go. I placed my order at the counter and was told to come back in 15 minutes. They have a speaker to announce when your order is ready, but it was down during my visit. I ordered the shrimp, jerk ribs, rice and peas and cabbage. The shrimp were small and overcooked, but the sauce was delicious. The rice & peas and cabbage were decent, but the ribs were definitely the star of the show. So I returned to this restaurant on 7/17/2025..I moved out of Clarkston GA a year ago to Lithonia and I have not visited. Before that awhile ago I used to be here on a regular basis. The plate that I got is a small jerk chicken plate with rice and peas and cabbage. Everything was delicious and the mild sauce is boss! I like Jamaican food because it's healthy and not fried. I discovered Juci Jerk by doing a search for "jerk chicken near me". I made my way to the location. (I admit I missed the entrance the first time and had to circle back.) I ordered the chicken and pork entree and the chicken and rib entree (both came with rice & peas (added gravy) and steamed cabbage. Both entrees were generous portions and very good. The jerk seasoning was perfect. Not light but not overbearing. The charred skin on the chicken was a treat. As has been stated, it is not a sit-down restaurant. I only had a to wait about 5-8 minutes after placing my order. Once you place your order, you can wait (stand) inside or outside. When the order is ready, they call your name over loudspeaker/microphone. Rather efficient operation. Juci Jerk is definitely no frills, so don't go expecting white glove treatment or extraordinary customer service. (The young lady was pleasant, though.) Go for the food. It's worth the trip. I will definitely go back. PS...There is a fresh lemonade stand outside of the restaurant called Dee's Lemonade. It was manned by two young adults. I bought two lemonades (regular and pineapple) just to support their business. The lemonades were good. It was about a 24 oz serving @$6/each. I'd go back again. Now I don't just trust anyone's recommendation so I was hesitant at first but it was so close to the house and I had no idea what other food options were around here. I had the Chicken & Ribs with rice and peas and cabbage. It was a leg quarter (not chopped up but cut into 4 pieces) and 4 rib bones (2 short end and 2 regular). THE FLAVOR WAS IT!!! no sauce was needed but baby add the mild sauce and it takes the flavors to another level! This food took a 40 minute ride to my house and was still hot enough to eat without reheating. I ate 2 ribs and half the chicken and still had meats and rice and peas left for a 2nd meal. The cabbage DID BOT SURVIVE the 1st setting. It was so good. I asked for hot and mild sauce....and here is where it gets tricky. The HOT is HOT...it's lighter in color than the mild with a kick that will pause you...so if you want that spicy, nose running jerk then get the hot. The MILD is the one...it's lightly sweet, super savory, and has a drop of heat. I spent $20.03 with the tax and it was worth every penny, AND the drive there and back. I struggled deciding how many stars to give Juci Jerk bc if we are talking about the food, it deserves 5/5 stars, hands down. I'm a huge fan of their shrimp (I think it's the best item on the menu) and their jerk chicken. We've been eating here before all of the "celeb ravings," so you could imagine our surprise when things started to slip downhill. If you aren't familiar, Keith Lee visited Juci and left a review that went viral. He literally blew my spot up lol what went from a 15 min wait for food quickly changed to a 4 hour wait. I am not joking - one instance we had to order and leave and come back. Ever since, I feel like the business has struggled to stay atop this overnight success. For starters, their IG bio lists a phone number where you can call in orders/catering - you think they ever answer that phone???? and if they do, they are absolutely not accepting over the phone orders like stated. So that leaves customers the only option of driving to the restaurant and praying they are A) open or B) the option you want is still in stock. Two, no one is actively updating the Instagram. There's a disconnect between what is taking place in the restaurant and what is being communicated live. There have been a number of times they've been out of a dish and there have been 0 updates on the Instagram. So now no phone OR socials communication. Three, they have a chownow site where you can allegedly place online orders - however, the site is literally never open for orders! It always shows orders for the following day and when that day gets here, it changes to the next day. I don't trust ordering in advance bc they keep disabling the site to receive orders. Do you see the disconnect???? This place literally blew up overnight and no one can call, place orders online OR see live updates. Then they'll randomly close in the middle of the day and you guessed it, no updates on socials. It's honestly really sad bc we love it here but if they don't fix these concerns, the business will continue to spiral. There's no reason in this day and age you should not be able to place orders prior to arriving to the restaurant. No one wants to drive 30 mins out their way for disappointment. They are severely understaffed if you ask me. Things to note: no dining inside, just enough space to order and hangout and wait. There's parking on premises but on days where it's packed, might be best to park next door at the gas station and walk over. This place has ALL the potential, but they desperately need to get up to speed!!! read more

They said to come back in one hour. I said ok, ran some errands and came back. I saw that there were cars camped out, waiting. My wife and I enjoyed our food. We ordered chicken meals (dark for me, white for her). Chicken was very tender and flavored very well. Really great portion size for what you spend. Unfortunately the service was horrible enough to make sure we never return no matter how good the food was. The wait time was communicated to us (15 min) but our wait was easily 3x as long (45 min before we were able to ask about order again) because they forgot us to the point where we were awkwardly standing there while every other customers orders were fulfilled. No one acknowledged us, or thought to ask us about our order or wait - we weren't standing there awkwardly for fun. When I got their attention to ask about our order, they looked me off a few times and when we got one ladies attention, she acted as if it were a bother. She then confirmed they forgot our order, so she then disappeared and returned with our food about 5-7 minutes later. This kind of thing happens at even the best restaurants so it would have been cool, but they offered no apology whatsoever just "here you go" without even making eye contact. Only that kind of service can make me regret tipping in advance. I hate feeling like I have to be an outspoken jerk to get decent service at businesses like this.
