I highly recommend this place! Please support this restaurant owner, I can tell she works hard and her food speaks for itself. Note: This is not a fast food service. Cornbread was moist and banana pudding yum. Would highly recommend. I'll be back next year.

Oh noooooooo! I…read moreknow it hard to stay consistant with soul food, but this just ain't it and I always try to be fair. I was leaving the mall and in search of dinner, and stumbled across this place and was so upset with my choice. I ordered a veggie plate for $12.99 plus tax. Presentation goes a long way and my plate looked messy and the cornbread muffin was burned and at room temperature, the other food was plentiful, but placed awkwardly. I ordered collard greens, mac & cheese, Black Eyed Peas, and green beans. The collard greens had absolutely no flavor and cut way too big, the macaroni and cheese had way too many eggs and was flavorless. The green beans were nice and the Black Eyed Peas were really good but seem to be a little overcooked or leftover and again the cornbread was burned. I was not a happy camper. The service was nice, and the restaurant is cafeteria style and quite small . I would definitely suggest taking your food to go. Forever family definitely need to check the consistency of your food to make sure it's being prepared correctly. I did not have a good experience.

Food: 3 Service : 5…read more Ambiance: 4 The food is mediocre. I got the garden omelette and it lacked flavor. I had to add a bunch of hot sauce and black pepper to it which helped make it better. The home fries are really just roasted cubed potatoes and have no crisp to it. Even the "toast" was soft and barely toasted. The staff is extremely friendly and check on you regularly so that's the saving grace of this place. It's a nice diner vibe overall but the place could use a little more cleanliness especially in the restroom. Luckily there's plenty of parking and the prices are fairly cheap so the overall value is decent but do not expect high quality food.

Maybe it's a Georgia thing...but typically when dining out we have encountered parties of 6+ at certain restaurants have an automatic gratuity. It's usually listed on the menu, or on their website, or on the check.... This restaurant had neither. And when asked about the automatic tip they gave us a vague answer. My hubby is a big tipper (to my annoyance) so it kinda felt like they added the tip because they assumed we weren't going to tip. Oh well, their loss. They probably won't ever see us again. #dontstereotypeme

I can confidently add La Difference to my list of go to Haitian restaurants. The fact that it is…read morealso a bakery led to the five star rating. The food quality and quantity also are contributing factors. The artwork throughout including history pieces on the origin of the Haitian flag, and a prominent display of leadership which included my great, great, great, grandfather brought joy to my heart! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal which consisted of kabrit (goat), Djon Djon rice, green plantain and salad. I did request extra pikliz and gravy, as the gravy doubles as my salad dressing due to the rich flavor. The ample portions allowed for two additional meals, which were equally delicious as the seasoning marinated additionally. Everything was fresh. The rolls I purchased were soft to the touch and I was assured that they were baked that day after inquiring. They reminded me of my father, also of Haitian descent, and the bakery in South Florida near parent's retirement community. My dad would take me there and we would get fresh Haitian bread and rolls. Truly, one of the best nostalgic moments with the reminder of him and the delicious food. The location provided ample parking, and was not crowded when I first arrived. I placed my order after looking at all the offerings, including jams and other Haitian baked goods. Although I was assured that my food would be ready in about 15 minutes, it was closer to 30. Several people came in after me picking up large orders. My order taker acknowledged that my food would be ready soon, and I appreciated that. Thankfully, I was not in a rush. Do keep that in mind when visiting, and ordering in advance may be an option. I will definitely return to try my other favorites, including griot (despite limiting pork intake...smh) and legume. Truly pleased to find a great Haitian restaurant in Gwinnett. Shout out to the Tik Tok person who brought it to my attention in her post!

Hey Foodies in "TUCKER" Good Caribbean food…read more Stopped in after passing by this plaza and seeing the Jamaican colors symbolizing authentic mother land Jamaican prepared food. Met Mrs Debbie very vibrant, up tempo spirited lady and passionate about her roots and food. I Ordered the oxtails only as I've done hundreds of times as my signature to see is the food is for sell or not. Most Restaurants want to give you a plate full of veggies and three oxtails. I give it back LOL. I receive a healthy portion of oxtails for the small size at $16. 99 They were tasty as expected for that style of cooking that generates that brown base gravy. I didn't get the wow factor I look for in oxtails . The texture was abit chewy but they were digestible . If you just have a taste for oxtails these should do you fine I then ask to sample the "Mac and Cheese" and there was the WOW factor . (YUP) that Mac and Cheese was flavorful, good texture with that great cheesiness and well done noodles you look for in Mac and Cheese. I was asked to try the jerk turkey wings and that I will have on my next visit with The Mac and Cheese The customer services alone will get my return visit. Thank you Mrs Debbie

She walks away and comes back and says the building has "pop-up" vendor for lunch and today was Ethiopian. Food was way too salty. Saw a post on instagram showing this place off and it looked really good, so i went yesterday. The inside is clean, nothing crazy, but there wasnt really any service. The person behind the counter didnt greet us or anything, she just instructed us to go to the register at the end whenever we are ready to order. When it came time to order, we walked over and she told us we had to order whatever we wanted ourselves on a small tablet attached to their register, which is whatever. We ordered the philly and the fish sandwich w the mac and cheese on it. When done ordering, of course the screen asked for a tip (despite them not really doing anything besides standing there and watching us order) which is annoying anywhere you go. Our drive home is only 15min away, but when we opened my side of fries they were so soggy they drooped when you picked them up. Flavor was decent on them, just needed to be crispier. As for the philly, the only thing positive about it was the portion size. It was too salty, had barely any cheese (they offer extra cheese but for $4), had no bell peppers or onions. It was just meat, bread, and a little bit of cheese. As for the fish sandwich, it was extremely salty to the point it was inedible. It was also a pretty big portion size, but other than that, there were no other positive things about it. We ended up eating the mac and cheese off of the sandwich and throwing the rest away.
