This was an amazing great haitian owned restaurant. This was my first time visit and had an amazing experience. We came in on a Saturday, the music was right, no door entry fee, and the food was freaking AMAZING!! THE STAFF: the manager, Mae was so present and accommodating throughout the night, I never experience that before. She was patient, friendly, informative, approachable, and delightful. When I visit ATL, GA again I will make a personal trip here each and everytime. The way I am feeling I might make a trip there again tomorrow before I fly back. Great atmosphere!

The restaurant was on hold from taking orders for 30 minutes because the kitchen was "backed up". By the time they reopened the kitchen half the menu wasn't available. I settled for griot and black rice. The black rice lacked epis so the rice tasted very bland. The griot smelled really bad as it they didn't clean it well. I'm Haitian so I know Haitian food. Sadly, do not come here.

Been here several times and this is our go to spot for Haitian food. It is a bit of a drive for me, but the food is so worth it. Have never had a bad meal here. The food is always amazing. There is no lack of flavor with the food. I always order the same thing, which is the Griot. The meal comes with fried pork, choice of rice, and 2 slices fried plantain. The pork is always very tender but has a great crunch on the outside from the flash fry. They do have music on the weekends and it turns into a lounge atmosphere, which seems fun, but usually I leave prior to the fun as I come in to grab dinner and go. Definitely would like to stay for the music on a future visit. It is very dim lighting at all times of the day. The servers are always very pleasant and nice. The only reason for the 4 vs the 5 stars is that there is always a long wait. I know what to expect going in now, so I know that it is going to be slow service, so I won't go when I have a time crunch.

Everything about this place is amazing, Julie the host and the bartender was such a pleasant presence, I went with my husband and daughter Marley after the Bluey convention and everything was perfect, only thing I could've cried about is Julie forgot my boulet to go I paid for FOOD IS AMAZING AND SO IS THE AMBIANCE

I'm going to go ahead and give Ole 3.5 stars but round it up to 4. This was my first experience eating Haitian food and I was so excited to finally try it. My cousin and I went here fairly late on a Friday evening and it was pretty empty. It looks like they're taking on more of a lounge type vibe which was nice but we were underdressed and really just came for the food. Another oddity is that they had someone playing music via YouTube videos rather than having an actual DJ. Since we were seated close to the bar, the bartender took our order. I ended up ordering the tassot turkey which came with rice and plantains. I enjoyed my food but I just wish the turkey was cut a little differently. I had to fight some of the pieces of meat just to get a little bit of meat off the bone. Otherwise, it was very tasty. Our server was great and the owner/manager even came over and checked on us which was a plus.

Taste just like the plantain burnt smh hard ass rice

Let's make this short so unfortunately i was definitely not pleased we went here on Valentine and did not have a great night at all . The restaurant was set up nice but whatever the food was not good at all it was cold ,hard , Burnt sweet plantains and burn white rice smh ‍ what a night so we ended up here on Valentine's night to grab a bite to eat the music was good the lounge was nice but the food was a no crazy part is I'm not even Haitian an know what good Haitian food is . Half the stuff we order it was a issue for some reason to the point the food we ordered was put in Togo boxes wow the food did not come out till like 10:19 pm the club don't close till 12 so why put our food to go ? Any who here is what my food looked like that night the next day since it was packed to go i ate it the day after smh ‍

Great vibes . Wonderful Haitian Lounge . Food was delicious .Bartender was very polite and attentive. Stop by on a Sunday night, luckily for me the live Haitian band was still performing which had the crowd swarming the dance floor with passion. Causal attire - dressed to impress with a age group between 21-60 .

Y'all now this is a Caribbean restaurant so the idea is go in not asking for much and you will receive a good time. I mean you gone wait because sometimes they seem to forget they have to open at a certain time and food gets prepared right on time but other than that the new renovations are lovely. The food is always fresh, presentable, flavorful meaning cooked to perfection with all your grandma's best spices good. They have live entertainment a band or even a DJ if not a YouTube. Indoor and outdoor seating and hookah for purchase. The drinks are drinkable but it's the quality food and good ambiance that keep me coming back.Don't call just come!

Now this was a first in my Carribean restaurant explorations over many years. Ya know, we tend to…read moreforget about Haiti because of flavors of Jamaica, Cuba, Trini, PR, DR and so on. I met some Haitian friends of friends in The A one trip, and I asked what are some of their main dishes and I was drawn in as she was describing the different ones, so I asked the folks that lived there (the others were visiting from FL) if there was a Haitian restaurant in town and he mentioned this one and was like "they're ok". That was good enough for me to try, so me and my mom went the next day. Upon entering, the place was kinda dingy and worn down, but it was smelling great in there. I was looking to try the Fried Goat (which is a way different style to me) but they had just started prepping goat and was going to be a while (it was 3pm...they'd been open since 11a...kinda strange), so I went with the Fried Turkey, side of Pikilz, Green plantains, Dumplings, Black Rice and Cashew Praline for dessert. So, the Black Rice I was really looking forward to next, after seeing pictures of it with minced mushrooms on top and told it was made with mushroom soup. But when we for our to-gos I checked to make sure they got everything and I went to smell the rice and it looked and smelled like Chinese fried rice (!). I was about to be disappointed big time, I was thinking. But I noticed there was a lot of traffic behind us while we were waiting, so that was a good sign. We went home and unpacked it all and what surprised me was the size of the Plantains...they were HUGE. Never seen anything like it. So these are the unsweet type, so you have to eat it with something else to flavor it up. Then I got into the China rice, which had green peas in it and took a bite. Man! totally fooled me....that rice was BOMB. Flavor was totally different from how I smelled it earlier. My apologies HCD! Fried Turkey: a bit overcooked but good. I've had plenty of fried turkey in my time and this one was passable. Now, when you throw that Pikilz on top of that turkey, it gets turned up some notches. That lil side dish is better than any country's side dish I've ever had (Mexico, Kenya, Lebanon, India). I couldn't figure out what parts make up Pikilz, but that's some real genius culinary right dere. But, you know what finished me off nicely towards inevitable Itis? That Cashew Praline....omg. Straight up homemade sex I tell you. No chemicals in this! The way they just have sitting piled up on a tray all by itself, is the worse presentation, but you'll be shocked at how fresh and sweet it is. Man oh man oh man. I'll be back for that Goat! Sapa segne nabule.

This is a Haitian or creole restaurant and boy have I been missing this yummy food since I have left South FloridA! The food was amazing!! You can see the old-school people in the back cooking and making your food to order. I had fried turkey with rice and beans which you can get on the light lunch special for 899. However there was a bit of disconnect which was the loss of the star in language barrier from the young lady at the cashier. Additionally on top of the language barrier you could tell she got a little frustrated so if you order be sure to point to it on the menu also so there's no confusion. I said rice and beans the first time she gave me white rice then I said lunch and she gave me the dinner. And that point I just paid for it and kept it moving but it was worth it all at the end when I tasted the food because it was definitely off the chain!! I definitely recommend you make it part of your repertoire if you're in the area Because I'm sure I'll be going at least once a week! Love supporting small business owners and even more so yummy food for a great value!

Service - didn't get a greeting when we walked in, the lady was sitting in a chair at the register, there was one guy In there sitting down waiting on this food so she was not busy. They had a few fish dishes on their menu but had NO fish at all that day (weekday). I mean they were out of everything seafood and they were out of sorrel. This should have been a sign to leave but I settled with a small oxtail meal. They do open the box for you to see your food before leaving, no corrections or complaints after you leave. Well, I wish I would have took a closer look at the "plantains" bc it was absolute mush! It looked so terrible, I thought it was fat from the oxtail... they literally served spoiled plantain on both of our plates, I tasted it & it was definitely rotten. I love plantains when I eat Jamaican food & the fact that it was rotten was very disrespectful. The oxtail was small, not a lot of meat but the flavor was decent although I would have preferred more gravy. Rice & peas and the cabbage were average. As far as the inside, not much sunshine in there, just get it Togo. Oh! And the health score was 81 which should have been another sign to leave. There are better Jamaican restaurants to visit.
