I went there with one of my friends to introduce her to the new restaurant. Girl, this was literally one of the worst experience ever! First of all, the service was so bad. The lady was so rude taking our order like she had an attitude the entire time. She even had an attitude with her coworkers, like I know they tired of her! Also, the amount of flies in this restaurant is too great like it is actually criminal. One fly, two flies, that's alright. I get it. But there was like 20+ flies and the space isn't that big for all of that. Either they aren't cleaning well or something because there shouldn't be that many flies around a food area. Anyways, the food was great. Hot and delicious. Took about 30 minutes, but that's to be expected. This place should just become a take-out spot instead of a dine restaurant because its service is killing its rating. Definitely want to get the chicken pasta!

So, we made the visit for a girls night but there was nothing nostalgic about the experience. The place was majority empty. We assumed it was because we arrived early, 7:30ish closer to 8. However my experience leads me to think differently. Upon entry we were greeted and seated. The menus were already laid on the table waiting for us. So, needless to say there was little to nothing for the host to greet you with or for; table presentation was NOT there. No cups napkins, condiments, eating utensils nothing! We got into the menus -ordered Soul Rolls, a Crab Cake, and 2-orders of wings for appetizers. The soul rolls were overcooked, the yams none existent, and the Macaroni was dry. The crab crake had a fishy taste to it and 1 order of wings was undercooked (per order request) the other was good. When we asked for the wings to be re-made they just throw the wings back in the grease and re-served them. Our MEALS: 2- Rasta Pastas, the yard man snapper, and the jalapeño burger. We had to ask for eating utensils 2x's and after about and 5 more minutes we got them. The Fish was okay but for what it cost (w/ gratuity) and tasted like -wasted money!!! The Rasta pasta was only Alfredo no peppers, cajun season or onions. I guess the burger was decent. We all ordered drinks - lemon drop flight, 4-24 k gold drinks, white wine sangria, and another lemon drop. The drink were meh - the lemon drop flight came w/ ice. My friend wanted a second sangria but couldn't order b/c they ran out of wine and I got a head ache after I drank the two 24ks. Then it came down to paying! Now I thought I was doing good on my balance but I got swindled. First off she had me pay my tab BEFORE she showed me my itemized receipt which include an auto 18% gratuity for 4 people (not worthy) service was SLOW and bad! Not to mention they charged a $2 difference on my drinks. The menu had $16 but I was charged $18 for both. Make them show your receipt ahead of payment. B/c we tipped on top of the gratuity that was included in our bill but weren't informed the tip was already included. The interior was nice, I liked the booth seating and decor. I really liked the fireplace setting. It gave a warm cozy feel. The music was a slight vibe once the drinks kicked in that's it. Advice- Don't believe content creators b/c they have special treatment!

We visited Voss Lounge on Wednesday, April 1, excited for happy hour after seeing their Instagram flyer advertising $5 drinks, small apps, and hookah. Well...that's not exactly what we got. Once we arrived, we were told those $5 specials were actually for Tuesdays--not Wednesdays--and that detail was not clear on Instagram. I was told it was listed on their website, but let's be real...this is 2026--people are checking IG and TikTok, not websites. If you're promoting on social media, it needs to be accurate. We got there around 4:15 PM (happy hour starts at 4), and the place was empty--music wasn't even on yet. My party of four was seated right away, and we ordered drinks, food, and hookah. The lounge itself was beautiful--decked out in red and black with a really nice vibe. I had lemon drops and wings--both were actually really good. No complaints on the food or drink at all. But just know, the wings were not $5 since that special didn't apply that day. Now...the hookah experience? A complete mess. The hookah wasn't $5 either--it was $25 if I recall correctly. The hookah attendant recommended a flavor that was honestly not good at all. When we told her we didn't like it and asked to switch flavors (which we were willing to pay for), she tried to make us purchase a refill instead of simply fixing the issue. We asked to speak to a manager. She went to the back and spoke with someone who I later found out was the owner--but he never came out to address us. That alone didn't sit right with me. Instead, she came back, grabbed the hookah, and walked off. No explanation, no replacement--nothing. It felt like, "We won't charge you, but you're also not getting another one." That whole situation completely turned us off. Now I will give credit where it's due--our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. Friendly, attentive, and she did her best to take care of us. But overall, between the misleading Instagram promotion, the poor hookah experience, and the lack of management presence...this just wasn't it for me. Giving Voss 2/5 for good food, a beautiful space, and a great waitress Everything else? Needs work. Unfortunately, I won't be back!

Looks a little sketchy from outside and surrounding area, but don't worry it's a good place! Discovered this place via yelp, searching for a dinner location anout halfway between Decatur and Lawrenceville, as we were meeting friends and neither of us wanted to travel too far. Seeking economical choice with good food & drinks. Mission accomplished here! Wasn't our first choice. Dining on a Monday is hard, as so many restaurants are closed. But it turned out to be an excellent choice, as we loved our apps, drinks and meals. Had a nice size table with plenty of room in the quieter dining area in the back, away from the bar and TVs. There are TVs in back area as well, just not as many. Started with the nachos with beef chili, and the blackened brussel sprouts. Both were delicious and gone quickly! I had the cheeseburger salad. After all this deep fried, heavy southern food and grits, wanted something a little lighter. The portion was huge, and it was delicious. Onion rings were delicious. Huge plate for a side dish. Others had various wraps, and everyone loved their meals. Good tap beer selection. We had a variety of cold ones. If you're in the area looking for a good local, affordable place to have a meal or drinks, pick this spot. Its family friendly as well.

Fans were blowing away my napkins. When I paid in cash they rounded my bill up to the next dollar. Never had someone do that before. $34 for a cheesesteak, potatoes, and small drink seems to be overly priced at a take-out spot. It would be more understanding if you could dine-in or had waiter service. I ordered the Korean Cheesesteak with smashed fried potatoes and a Bourbon Peach Punch. The drink was tasty but really small to cost $10. It looked like a 6oz cup. I would prefer to pay $5 more for a full glass. The smashed fried potatoes were covered in a sauce and some of the best potatoes I have had anywhere. The cheesesteak was made with pork (also a new experience for me) and had plenty of cheese and onions.

The wait staff was attentive, making sure we had our beverages and if we needed anything before the 2 arrived. Once they arrived, the staff gave us a few minutes to make sure the 2 had a chance to look at the menus. We ordered appetizers to start...corn bread, sage fried pierogies and poutine. We weren't sure about the poutine because we didn't see any gravy, we did see the cheese curds on the fries, but once we finally dug in, the gravy was at the bottom. The pierogies were tasty. We asked if they could cut the cornbread so each of us could get a taste, which they did. Corn bread had a toasted texture, and the honey butter was delicious! Everyone ordered something different. One had fish and chips, which would seem to be a likely order for a pub. Their special for the day was a ruben. Another ordered a falafel sandwich, and I think 2 salmon BLT's and then one salad with rainbow trout. Portions were not overwhelming, but we realized that we were full from the appetizers and almost everyone ended up taking most of their main choices in doggie bags (boxes).
