The food and staff are always on point. I stumbled on this place a few years ago and it has been in my rotation ever since. The young man at the counter is always welcoming and helpful. Karaoke nights are hilarious! read more

The food is sub par, the jollof was burnt and the goat was like a rubber band, the servers were non existent and it was just lacking

How is this even suya??? It taste like beef marinated in tomato sauce. You can see the sauce leak into the bag... it taste soo bad. Never again. read more

Upon entering we were greeted and warmly welcomed. The ambiance is very clean and inviting. The restaurant also has a performance stage for a Dj or live entertainment and there's a small area to a. We ordered Okra Soup with foo foo, Beef Suya, and the Stir-Fried Rice meal. Our server/bartender is EXCELLENT. He was very professional, attentive, and kind. read more

The service was fine as it was empty inside and I was the only patron. I ordered the whole grouper with Jolla rice and spinach (dieting or I'd have gotten the plantain). This was my first time having Jolla rice, it was ok, I don't get the hype. The fish was delicious. Perhaps visit later in the day or early evening as I image it can get quite lively. The restaurant was very clean and attractive, warm colors and welcoming vibe. I will go back to explore more west African dishes. read more

Great food. I make it a point to go there every time I am in the area. It is a distance away from where I live.

I ate here the other week with a friend and had a good experience. Inside was slow for a weekend lunch service, but the food was worth it. Music was a bit too loud for the size of the restaurant and we had a bit of trouble hearing one another right next to each other. Waiter was extremely helpful and gave us some helpful recommendations. We ate a good assortment of food from the red snapper to the egusi to goat pepper soup to jollof rice, and everything was delicious. Well worth the trip to try some flavorful food. Don't be intimidated by any spice levels, the level was highly tolerable and added to the flavor profile. Would certainly recommend to anyone for a new culinary adventure. read more

Hi party was a little disappointed. Disappointment was more in the portions in cost, and anything else. Our server was lack-luster and just served ... no extra smile, helpful suggestions, never came back to see if we were okay. The okra stew was good but $23.00 for a very small shallow gravy-like soup bowl I was a little shocked (maybe because I make it at home ... idk). My cousin had the veggie plate at $18.00. Again, a taste of beans, greens, rice and American mixed veggie mix ... small amounts for the cost. The food was good though. The service today was just okay. I wish I could give 31/2 stars but will leave it at 4. Recommendation: give it a try! read more

I don't know what to say. I've been wanting to try the food for months. Looked on yelp says they're open today (Sunday) until 8pm. Placed the order online because it's 30 min from my house wanted my food to be ready when I got there. They accepted my payment. Yelp said the order was received and food was ready. I arrive and the restaurant is closed. Sad and confused. Why don't restaurants keep accurate information on the sites they use for ordering? Why not update your hours on maps? Actual hours on door: Tuesday - Thursday - 12:00pm - 10:00pm Friday - Saturday - 12:00pm - 11:00pm read more

Amazing African food! I've always seen this place but finally had the courage to try it when my father invited me. The food was sooo good. I ordered vegetable fried rice, chicken wings, and plantains. Great prices, fresh, quality ingredients and friendly staff. The owner was so generous and told us a little about the restaurant. They actually have a location in Nigeria too!!! Definitely try this place if you're looking for great African food- incredible alternative to Ike's Cafe which in my opinion can be inconsistent. Nice ambiance with great music- also very clean! read more

I was so happy to find out the owners are now in the Atlanta area. I was a frequent patron of their restaurant in St. Louis. Ahh...so many wonderful memories:) The food is absolutely delicious! We were in the mood for great african food and that's exactly what we got! The jollof was flavorful! The suya was perfect, not too chewy nor burnt like other places. The spinach was delicious. The goat pepper soup was savory. The food was amazing and so was the presentation. Not to mention the quality and friendly customer service! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Additionally, the prices are very affordable. Not too expensive as you come to expect from african restaurants. Definitely will be back for more! read more

The hubby and I stopped here by accident a few months ago. Our daughter and her bestie went to the movie theatre across the parking lot and we wanted to be close by. So as they enjoyed their film, we grabbed a meal. It's not the first time that we've had African food before. But I always judge an African restaurant based on how good the egusi is. This did not disappoint. Ah beg. Brutha. Sista. You must go. You will not be disappointed. read more

I came here for the first time and was not disappointed! Everything was seasoned to perfection! The fish was so good that I wanted more. I even did a google search to see if I could eat the eyeballs! That is how good it was. I did not eat the eyeball, but I hear they are tasty. read more

I did Uber Eats. It came hot, which was nice. They did listen to my notes and gave me extra red pepper sauce. The quality just did not live up to authentic African recipes like ive had in the past. Disappointed in the Suya (2/10), Jallof rice(6/10) and the flavor of the fish(7/10). read more

Good food. The jolaf rice and beef was tasty. I will be returning to this restaurant.

I usually have good experiences with this establishment but my last one was horrible. Loud music with pornographic scenes were playing on the televisions, the waiter was beyond rude ( criticizing my meal of choice, what employee would do that). The food was awful, I ordered Egusi and it tasted like medicine. The jerk chicken was a soggy and tasteless mess. When we paid for our meal, the waiter gave my child a paper receipt as if were a toy. As I instructed my child to give me the receipt, the waiter intervened saying that he gave it her. As politely as I could, I told him my child doesn't need to play with paper. The waiter then preceded to ask my husband if something was wrong with me, when he actually was the rude and intervening person the entire time. I finally had to shout at him saying "my child and I are fine" and believe me I wanted to go off on that mannerless young man for real. He finally got the hint and left, looking stupid in the face, because I called him out on his sh*t. Also, this waiter was also shouting and cursing with a man and woman who shortly dined after us. I believe this young man was the owner's nephew and if they are reading this, please remove him from your waitstaff, he is pulling your reputation down to hell. I've been to the continent of Africa and have NEVER encountered customer service like this. This young man needs his parents and elders to work on him, because he is an utter disgrace and disappointment to be from a beautiful continent. read more

A true hidden gem! The family is so welcoming and kind of feels like home! It is very clean, there was hand sanitizer on every table. The ambience was nice and the colors were beautiful. Now to the food... DELICIOUS! I got the curry chicken special with jollof rice and plantains. The curry was savory yet buttery and had a nice kick. The rice was divine.
