My first time trying Egusi and Fufu and it was so so delicious! The Egusi soup was so flavorful and comforting. The flavor was tomatoey with a bit of heat. The side of Fufu was a must. The pounded yam was smooth and not too thick. I had fun scooping up the Egusi in the Fufu with my hands. Both together was an enjoyable flavor and texture combo. The Beef Suya was good as well, a nice meat appetizer. The beef was cooked well done which some people may not like, but I enjoyed it since I grew up eating my steak that way. It paired very well with the spice blend and raw onions. I also had the Ghanaian Jollof Rice and that was not my most favorite dish due to the flavor. Not my cup of tea, but the rice was cooked well. I also liked the side plantains. The interior is nicely ornate and comfy. The service here was also super great and my assigned server was very personable. I genuinely enjoyed my conversation with her and she did well giving me recommendations and directions as a first timer for this type of food. so I have been bringing my family of 7 here for 3 years. We ordered our usuals this weekend 7/7/26 , and OMG i was SOOOOO mad !! it seems as if they got a new chef and the food was HORRIBLE! The okra soup was super thick, barely any soup / sauce. it had a bunch of sharp pieces of crew shell with no crab meat to be found. I usually feed it to my baby but it had so many sharp pieces. the egusi was SUPER dark and oily. it looked like dirty car oil and it was SALTY ! the chicken suya was great as always but they changed the dipping sauce that comes with it which is the main reason i even get the chicken. the sauce is disgusting. this was the absolute worst experience i've had here . it was a waste of my $125 and i will not be returning . i spend thousands yearly on this food and this experience has been a major turn off . i drive 35 minutes fron buckhead atleast 2x a month to enjoy this food and i am totally turned off from this latest experience . i would normally recommend but the change in the food was soooo drastic ! i'm scared! read more

I have visited this place at least twice each month for the last two years. However, customer service has often been inconsistent. The food is usually good. Today the service reached hell!!! I ordered and paid for my food online. It said it wouldn't be ready until 2:21; due to prior experiences, I knew it would be done much earlier. I gave my name , was shown my order, then asked to pay. I explained calmly that I already paid and even went as far as to show my account and order receipt. The employee profusely denied that I paid and went further to say she knows they don't accept payments online. As I'm trying to maintain my composure her resolution is that I pay again, although I've shown proof of payment in multiple ways. She then calls her manager and explains the situation. Her manager tells her where to look. As she is on the phone, she asks obvious questions she knows the answers to, which would be my name. As the order receipt is in my name, and I had to provide it upon arrival. She explains to her manager that, although she is familiar with the 3rd party that took the payment, although she can see my name with the exact order I placed, although that order shows paid, she didn't use her courtesy or common sense. Instead, she profusely denied that I had the ability to pay online. She then attempted to show me why I needed to be empathic to her dumbfounded foolishness instead of offering an apology. Incompetency at it's purest. I will not waste my time here anytime soon.The more they redecorate, the more they charge customers for mediocre quality of food. read more

Pretty chill and casual food items : agusie with chicken (i like the nigerian style more that's when the red sauce in the stew is separated ) - flavorful and great texture 10/10. I recommend this when first coming if you like textures WITH CHICKEN and the pounded yam Jolf rice : not that great, haven't ordered it in a long time beacuse it has no depth with flavor. My two relatives came into town and they had wanted to try Nigerian food for the first time. Ike's was in the area the three of us were hanging out at, so I was looking forward to venture outside my normal restaurant. Setting / Service: We had came in about 10-15 minutes after they had just opened, so it felt like we were the first customers by the way the wait staff was missing. The host had told us sit at any table and we would have a staff member come swing by. We waited about 5-10 minutes before our waitress had came by and asked us if we were ready to order. Mind you - we were not given a food menu or told about the QR code that looked like it was barely hanging on the table beforehand. Food order took a little longer than expected. Table that was sat after us got their full lunch order before our soup came out. Felt little weird about that. The occasional check-ins from the waitress was welcomed. Food: Hunter's Platter was a overcooked or charred. The beef was well done at minimum. Some of the other meat pieces that contained bone were so overcooked that it was tougher than jerky and the bones themselves began to break off into sharp ends / mistaken as meat due to how brittle they became. For it to be priced at 'Market Value' and not have a actual charge was a bit odd to me. It came out to be near $60 for those wondering. Sweet potato soup with plantain fufu was good. We had ordered the mixed meat version, but it only contain one piece of each meat. It was borderline room temp by the time it got to our table. We had also ordered a few other items that were pretty enjoyable. Pleasant additions to a couple first timers who wanted to taste the menu. Overall: I'd say that the experience here was pretty okay to the point we had gotten the meal tab. It was a bit peculiar that our waitress had dropped off the credit card machine to the table for us after handing her my card. It was then I noticed on the machine "Additional Tip". Puzzled, I looked back at the check and noticed she had applied auto-gratuity. Yes, I would have given a tip. I would have given more than the auto applied tip, but it was context that made the entire situation foul. The cashier greeted me with a bright smile. The food....i was disappointed. The 2 small pieces of fried tilapia were way under seasoned. No salt and spicy pepper taste. It was too small and bland. They changed extra for the blended pepper sauce. The Nigerian jellof rice was unseasoned. The okra stew was dry but had a nice flavor. When in town with family, this is our go to when we don't feel like cooking our traditional food like FuFu, Potato Greens, and Cassava Leaf Rice. Flavorful, spiced, and welcoming here. Great authentic African food!!! The Ghanaian Jollof is my favorite. The service here is good and the food comes out hot without a long wait. I got the Efo Riro with beef and it was delicious the veggies tasted fresh and the have a nice portion of well seasoned and tender meat. I would honestly rate a 3.5 if possible. One waitress was rude but the one who served us was professional. We ordered the efo riro with assorted meat and the jollof rice with beef. The efo riro doesn't come with starch so you have to order your pounded yam etc separately. The jollof rice plate does also come with 3 plantain. We also ordered a side of beans which was $10. The prices were pretty decent . The jollof rice plate was delicious but the efo riro was pretty bland. There was a hint of spice but I wish we would've requested a bit more. They also bring out the water and lemon bowl for washing hands after eating the poundo. It was a good place to try African food if you never have. I have no reference point regarding what flavors to look for in terms of Ghanaian food but for what it's worth, this place is amazing! The restaurant is a medium size establishment off of Tech Dr. in Norcross and it's a hidden gem of West African cuisine. Upon entry, it's a very unassuming entrance. The interior is spacious while the setting is set to provide a more intimate sense of style with low lighting. Unfortunately, the music is blaring so conversation will be difficult to during a date. The service is great. My server was prompt and professional. Now for the food... A friend recommended I get the jollof rice. This is a tomato based dish that gives you your choice of protein of fish and beef or chicken and beef. There is a depth of flavor to this that I could not pinpoint. The rice itself had a rich smokey flavor that has a savory bite to it. Again, I can't pinpoint the spice they used but the dish itself is addictive to consume! The beef I will say had an odd texture to it. It was tough to chew but was also a bit fatty which was an off putting experience. The chicken was a bit more tender but was still giving an overcooked feel. Both the proteins were overcooked as there were tough portions to chew on. They were flavorful to be sure but for the most part, consuming the proteins was off so if they can improve the cooking method on the proteins, that would make for a better experience. The plantains included were tender and sweet which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also sampled the meat pie. This was a different to be sure. The minced meat is mixed in with some carrots and onions and the seasoning. It's almost like a hot pocket but the dough casing is thicker and doughy. It came hot and ready which was pleasant. All in all, again, I have no reference to understand what the flavors are but there is definitely a richness and a savory depth in the Jollof Rice. As this is also a tomato based dish, between the sweetness of the tomatoes and the sweetness of the onions off sets the savoriness and then there's a spicy bite to the whole dish between the rice and the gravy sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish despite having no context on what to know but for what it's worth, it's good home style cooking. Highly recommend this place for sure! read more
