    Cornbread.

I was having a rough day and was craving some authentic Caribbean food to comfort my soul. Came across this spot and it have good reviews so I thought I would check it out. Though we were initially greeted when we walked in the door, once we sat at the bar it took quite sometime for anyone to acknowledge our presence. Finally the lady that had initiated greeted us came over and apologized and brought us some waters. Once the bartender came over, he was pleasant and answered any questions. Ordered the Oxtails with Rice and Peas, Cabbage, Plantains, and Macaroni and Cheese to eat. For drinks I had the Rum Punch and the Spiked Sorrel. Though it took a little while, it was worth the wait and I'm not complaining because the food was served fresh and hot, just the way I like it! The oxtails were "fall off the bone tender" and all of the sides had good flavor. I particularly liked that they didn't cook the cabbage to death and it had more of a stri-fry kind of texture. They also brought out some complimentary, warm cornbread which was nice. I enjoyed the Rum Punch but was a bit disappointed by the Spiked Sorrel as it did not have the strong sorrel flavor I was expecting. The ambience was very chill at the time which worked for my mood, but I must say I was very impressed by the level or care and cleanliness demonstrated by this establishment. They definitely take pride in how they present to customers and that alone was a huge factor in me deciding to return. Overall, 4 stars and I recommend!

When you're craving Caribbean food, this is the Spot to go to! The moment I walked in, I felt the vibe of Jamaica...the live DJ was jamming MON! Our waitress seated us, but I wanted to sit closer to the music, she moved my party with no hesitation. Since, it was our first time visiting...she recommended some great choices for us to try, along with drink options. The food was tasty, cooked to perfection, and served hot! FYI, this place gets packed so come before 8pm. Ya mon, we'll be back!

Tastee Spoon never disappoints! The service and food is always on point. Our server was great. They gave complimentary cornbread and it was moist and sweet and we loved it. For our entrees we ordered the Snapper and Jerk Salmon/Chicken Alfredo. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. I've been eating at Tastee Spoon since 2016 when it was in Perimeter Mall.

Not sure what the bottom one is but the top is a very emancipated looking beef patty. We weren't supposed to get anything but beef.

I like to give the positives first. The pattys were good. The girl at the counter was nice. Now, for what they got a 3 for. I drove 30 min because this was requested when we were in Alpharetta working for a week. Ordered 6 BEEF pattys, 1 coco bread, and 2 Hawaiian rolls. Paid and waited. Girl let me know they were out of the coco rolls and refunded my money. Then, when I arrived at our hotel, while they tasted great and all, they had very little filling! Then, we pulled out a lighter colored one, my hubs didn't notice and took a bite of. It wasn't a beef patty. Why 1 different? We didn't order different! Anyway, that's why the 3* and we prob won't be back.

The cornbread appetizer was nice to have while waiting for my main dish, jerk shrimp and grits. Both were really good and just what I needed as I was starving. Restaurant was somewhat busy but I was still seated quickly. Staff were nice and the store had some nice decorations.

Pretty good food!!!! The jerks sauce is amazing. We ordered the Rasta plate which came with three sides which was perfect for us because we are vegetarians., so I ordered mac & cheese, cabbage and rice and beans. Everything was pretty tasty, cabbage was a little undercooked for my liking, but everything was flavorful. Service was awesome and the restaurant was nice! Great for groups, happy hour and date night. The DJ was playing GOOD VIBES.

We went to the Tastee Spoon for this week's team lunch adventure. The food was very, very good. I ordered the French toast with jerk chicken. The French toast pieces tasted like cinnamon rolls without the frosting (yum!) and the jerk was sweet with a little zing on the back end. Piece of advice- get the bone-in. It falls off the bone and has a ton of flavor. I wish I could give half stars ... this one would be a 4.5. The 1/2 star off is only because it's a little slow. It's definitely made fresh to order, but don't go if you're pressed for time.

We celebrated my bestie's 50th birthday here and had a blast. We reserved for a party of 15 and they had a long table set up for us. Our server Jay was gracious, attentive and friendly. He immediately served us bottled water and we ordered a bottle of rum punch. The menu is everything from breakfast, small bites, entrees and dessert. We started with corn bread and ordered. Our sides arrived first and then proteins. Everything from fried snapper, oxtails, jerk chicken and goat. They play reggae music and a DJ set up to keep the music coming. There's an assortment of desserts too if you're craving something sweet. If you're in the Dunwoody area, skip the trendy spots and go here for good vibes, food and service.

I thoroughly enjoy the spot. They're really good for carryout for me. It's in a shopping center area so it's free parking so you don't have to worry about trying to pay as you dine in or wait for your food. They have a bar, it's a pretty decent size bar. But a lot of the bar spaces used for eating and not for predominantly drinking. But if you want liquor, they have liquor. Depending on what time of the week it is, they have entertainment. I believe that Fridays and Saturdays are times what they have a DJ or something along those lines. You might want to go ahead and check their Instagram page or something like that to figure out exactly when. The service sometimes is a little bit long to wait. And it feels like they only have one person working there. But that's not the end of the world, it's just noticeable to the point to where you would probably wish that you would order it online instead of ordering when you got to the register and waiting for your food. Also, if you sign up for their rewards program, you get money for points toward your orders. If you go enough, I would probably suggest doing this. Now. I will say that I didn't think that I got the same points or any points if I ordered online versus actually using my car at the physical location. So keep that in mind as well. But having a little extra money off or working towards some money off your next order is not a bad thing! Jamaican beef patties - The patties were good. The first time I went I got some chicken and some patties, and I don't know what they gave the sauce for, I'm guessing the chicken, but I'd use that sauce on the patties and they kind of set them off. But they don't have as much meat as I would like them to, but they were still very well cooked and flaky and pastry crust. But again the sauce took it to another level LOL. Jerk chicken wings - Now the wings, really really good wings. You get a lot of wings in there tender and fall off the bone. They are splashed with that sauce, the sauce is really good, and I have zero complaints about them. Cabbage - The cabbages well seasoned and pretty tender. There's usually a go-to if I want to get a vegetable from there. It's super solid and they give you a nice amount. Mac and cheese - The mac and cheese was all right. Probably would not rush for it, but I would eat it again. I'll probably try a couple more other size before I get back to that. It had the layer of cheese on top, but it was basically like a sheet of cheese, so when you tried to put your fork into it, the entire sheet would fold in. So once you get past that, the macaroni and cheese is actually pretty okay. Not super flavorful but as a cheat code, the jerk sauce goes well with that too LOL! If you make some jerk macaroni and cheese, I would be there front and center for it. But as it is right now, the marker of cheese is pretty okay. It does have some creaminess to it so I'm not trying to downplay it at all, it is pretty good. French fries - The fries were pretty basic. They was cooked very well and has some seasoning to them as well. Again, have to drive this plate home, that jerk sauce goes well on these fries too! Jerk sauce - I feel like since I've already hinted at it, I need to say that the jerk sauce should be its own review point and the jerk salsa is really good. I bought a bottle of it. It could go on a whole lot of stuff! It is sweet and tangy, spicy and savory all at the same time! Love it. Baked wings - The wings are pretty good. They were heavily sauced and packed with flavor. They were super tender and had a really nice size as well. I've actually gone back to get them more than once lol. Broccoli and cheese casserole - The casserole was actually pretty straight. I really wasn't sure what they were going to give me but it was pretty good. It really was a very small size so I wish it would have been bigger, but that could be because it was so good or it could have been just because I wanted more LOL! Shrimp with peppers - The shrimp of peppers weren't what I thought. They were pretty good and had a lot of heat to them but it was just basically shrimp and peppers in a broth or soup. I've been here multiple times for carryout and it's probably going to be a go-to place for me.

10/10!!!! Recommend everyone to here! I will definitely be a regular here! We had the curry goat, oxtail (don't have picture), chicken patties (get these over the beef they are made fresh and delicious!)! For the sides we go plantains, rice and peas, Mac and cheese, and fried! I highly recommend the first two! The vibe is great here and they even have a DJ Friday and Saturday! Service is great and people are so friendly!

Really enjoyed this spot. Definitely a good place for some real Jamaican cuisine. My only complaint is the cabbage was a little too crunchy for me. But I would definitely recommend this place. Oh and jerk sauce is one of the best I ever had. Can't wait to visit this place again. Great food, great service and great music too.

This is an amazing authentic Jamaican food restaurant. It is located in a strip mall with tons of parking available. There is a decent sized dining area with a full bar with seating. The restaurant has kind of a hip club vibe, with Caribbean and R&B music playing throughout the dining area. They have live music on weekends. They serve Jamaican food favorites such a curry chicken, ox tail, Jamaican beef patty, curry goat, snapper, rice and peas, sweet plantains, jerk shrimp, and salmon. hey also have some savory signature cocktails to wash your food down. The staff there was very friendly and courteous. I ended up ordering The Jerk Chicken with a side of cabbage and sweet plantains. They bring you a bottle of water and a piece of their corn bread with your meal. It took about 10 minutes for my meal to be ready. The chicken was exquisite, so delicious. There is a bottle of jerk sauce on each table if you are looking for more. The chicken was tasty and flavorful, with a little kick. The cabbage was good, but different than I am use to. This cabbage was crunchy. The complimentary cornbread was really good. It had real corn in it and was drizzled in butter. I really like this restaurant. I like the vibe. I like the food and I like the service. I highly recommend checking this place out. I will definitely be back soon.

Good food. We got the jerk chicken pasta and jerk chicken with cabbage and carrots and Mac and cheese. Everything was solid. I would say the star though was the cornbread--sooo moist and perfect corn flavor, I kind of regret not ordering it for take out. I'm sort of surprised it's complimentary. Staff are nice and it's a nice casual lunch spot. Would recommend this place!

    Anything or accommodations for Vegans?

Yes, they have veggie plates available! I ate a veggie plate with quinoa, cabbage, and I forget my third side because it's was a while ago. Sorry!

Can somebody tell me on a scale of 1-10 how good is the food ? Somebody with good taste buds i really wanna know how is the Mac and cheese just as well the jerk pasta it's in most the pictures?

The Mac is the best. Spicy fried chicken and fried pork chops are fabulous. Made fresh on site. Don't forget collards!

    Where is the new location?

In dunwoody plaza next to Party City. 4741 Alford Dunwoody Rd.

What's the portion size of the oxtails ? How many do you get?

You get a generous portion, 10 ounces. The number of bones, depends on how the oxtails are cut.

'I'll do you one better,' he said. 'Say less,' I thought. Being that my buddy knows his way around food, drink and Atlanta (ITP and OTP), I knew I was in good hands. Turns out, we didn't have far to travel. As I was discovering, when in the Atlanta metro, it behooves you to eat as many wings as humanly possible. I'd already had my yearly physical so I was all in. Turns out that Clay's was a well-know, well-trod wings destination so I was psyched for the eating ahead of me. We set up shop on the patio and had a wonderfully delightful server wait on us. I didn't know what I was doing but my buddy did. I let him order and sat back and waited for the bounty. We caught up, laughed and did all the things and the food just kept coming. I knew I was in the right place. We got a basket of fries but made those bad boys Cajun. Do this. I used to live in New Orleans. The Cajun name is warranted. Fries should always be seasoned and/or have stuff on them. Always. Wanting to drink local, I helped myself to a Ginger Treehorn Cider. Served in a can, it had depth, generous bite and enough of a kick to know that the ginger was real and not just marketing. But the star of the show was the wings. A mix of drums and flats, these were not your grocery store chicken wings. These were meaty, larger than the average wing and as good as advertised. We ordered 20 for the two of us. Because he knows me, we maximized our sauces to get the best experience. We went to town on garlic parm, honey bbq, lemon pepper, and hot teriyaki. We.Tore.Them.Up! I had sauce on my fingers, face, hair, shirt, and other places and I.Did.Not.Care! Oh man. I don't usually indulge in wings because I'm afraid to be let down (I've been hurt too many times before). Not here. The night started mid (previous offsite) but ended in a food coma. How he drove me home, I do not know. Very happy to have experienced Clay's.

My coworker grabbed a turkey burger for himself. Food came out pretty quickly. My coworker went to the restroom and I started going into my wings. Perfectly crispy and the sauce was good. The house made blue cheese was not really good. My coworker came back, and as he was sitting down, a baby roach crawled out from under his burger. I had eaten half my wings at that point, and just opted to finish them. But the smell of fabuloso started to make sense. Our waitress took the burger away and my coworker just opted to leave. You'll use the kiosk, and then you'll get a text message when your food is ready, and you can walk around freely until that happens. There's only one person there, and they're actually behind there stacking the food up to be picked up, so don't expect somebody to keep bringing food to you. Hot chicken sandwich - the sandwich was good, but typically the sandwiches are already pretty decent anyway. I got mine hot, but it wasn't like it was overly hot whatsoever. It had a nice little kick to it, but I could have gone further, but it was still a good sandwich. Brussel sprouts - the Brussels sprouts were okay, but I probably would not get them again. They didn't taste like they were seasoned at all, or very well. I mean, maybe a pinch of salt, but barely that. In the cup, you only got like six half pieces of Brussels sprouts. For paying almost $5 to get three full Brussels sprouts, that wasn't really worth it to me. Tater tots - the tater tots were really good, and they got quite a bit of them. They didn't come with anything, so you can get what you wanted as far as a condiment goes, but they were super hot and super crispy. Chicken tenders - so these are basically like chicken bites or chicken nuggets, I guess, and you can get them tossed in whatever sauce you want. I got mine with the hot lemon pepper variation. It was really good, but at the same time I probably should have picked one instead of the mix of it. With the hot lemon pepper situation, it was basically like lemon pepper and buffalo, but all you really tasted was buffalo, because the buffalo is so powerful you really don't taste anything else. Overall, I have no issue with this spot. It's really a good vibe if you're trying to watch a game or something along those lines, and this is the closest chicken spot to me like this, so I probably will continue to go.

The tater tots were amazing but the chicken was a bit underwhelming. I got the chill but it had…read morezero spice and I could probably do a bit higher spice level. But the taste was okay. It's a good choice if you're at mutation brewing and want some food but I personally would not go out of my way for this.

So this is basically like a carryout spot but it does have seating on the inside. If you just want…read morea quick fix of fried food then this would probably be your go-to. There are better but it's not terrible. It's in Sandy springs and there is free parking there so that's good. But it's in a shopping center so there's a lot of other places that share the same parking so just keep that in mind. I came randomly, ordered a couple of things, and waited around. My weight. Was like 10 minutes or so which wasn't bad at all. There's only one person working but he was super cool and super friendly even though he was the only one outside at the register. Chicken wings - I got the chicken wings and fries. The fries felt like, well I guess tasted like, they had been sitting out. So I am almost certain that they weren't fresh. The chicken was crunchy and crispy so that was good. But I got the garlic parmesan and you could actually tell that parmesan that was sprinkling on had been sitting because it started to Brown a little bit instead of being the normal color of Parmesan cheese. So I know that the wings had been sitting for a minute as well. They weren't bad but I know they could have been a lot better if they were more fresh. Shrimp - The shrimp were all right. They were maybe a little too. Well done but that wasn't the end of the world. I got tartar sauce cuz they don't have cocktail sauce there. And they were actually pretty big in size so that was good. But it wasn't something I had to happen and I need to run home and talk about. Overall it was good, but it was really just okay. There could have been better spots but this one was a quick option that I had yet to try.
