We honestly got the bare minimum as far as customer service and there was an automatic service charge included for a party of 2. The food was highly season. We had couple up Curry chicken and jerk chicken, rice and peas Mac and cheese, plantains and cornbread. The cornbread is good, Mac and cheese was good and plantains were good. Rice peas could seasoned a little more but was decent overall. There is a nice photo op there.

Just FYI, they are serving kangaroo meat and passing it off as oxtail. Oxtail is round in the bone the meat they're serving has a star shape in the middle. Look it up, I know my meat. Then have the nerve to be charging over $30 for it that's fraud!!

I always eat from here? Could've sworn I posted a review already? I guess not. I normally get the crossroads, which is my song that my brother and I listen to in remembrance of my dad bc it's just one of the songs we like, that he used to listen to back in the day when he was alive. So my first time there looking at the menu, i saw CrossRoads, I said it's my dads song AND ITS GOAT?! My fave!! So naturally I had to get order the crossroads, I think i pay around $22-24 after taxes, come with 2 sides. My family is from Trinidad so I'm kind of biased when it comes to curry goat/chicken lol so I'll say it's fine to me when I have a curry goat craving. Their stewed chicken is good too, not better than my aunts but again, I'm biased. Check for your own tastebuds and food standards id say lol. I've always gotten my food to go so I'm not too sure about their dine in service, but it seems to be a nice vibe and there's always ppl in there. They also do have a live DJ on certain nights. ***PS when you order on Door Dash they have $12 Meals which is either the jerk, stewed, or curry chicken with one side and a free add on of another side (not a full side just a little generous scoop)***

I was having a rough day and was craving some authentic Caribbean food to comfort my soul. Came across this spot and it have good reviews so I thought I would check it out. Though we were initially greeted when we walked in the door, once we sat at the bar it took quite sometime for anyone to acknowledge our presence. Finally the lady that had initiated greeted us came over and apologized and brought us some waters. Once the bartender came over, he was pleasant and answered any questions. Ordered the Oxtails with Rice and Peas, Cabbage, Plantains, and Macaroni and Cheese to eat. For drinks I had the Rum Punch and the Spiked Sorrel. Though it took a little while, it was worth the wait and I'm not complaining because the food was served fresh and hot, just the way I like it! The oxtails were "fall off the bone tender" and all of the sides had good flavor. I particularly liked that they didn't cook the cabbage to death and it had more of a stri-fry kind of texture. They also brought out some complimentary, warm cornbread which was nice. I enjoyed the Rum Punch but was a bit disappointed by the Spiked Sorrel as it did not have the strong sorrel flavor I was expecting. The ambience was very chill at the time which worked for my mood, but I must say I was very impressed by the level or care and cleanliness demonstrated by this establishment. They definitely take pride in how they present to customers and that alone was a huge factor in me deciding to return. Overall, 4 stars and I recommend!

When you're craving Caribbean food, this is the Spot to go to! The moment I walked in, I felt the vibe of Jamaica...the live DJ was jamming MON! Our waitress seated us, but I wanted to sit closer to the music, she moved my party with no hesitation. Since, it was our first time visiting...she recommended some great choices for us to try, along with drink options. The food was tasty, cooked to perfection, and served hot! FYI, this place gets packed so come before 8pm. Ya mon, we'll be back!

Not sure what the bottom one is but the top is a very emancipated looking beef patty. We weren't supposed to get anything but beef.

I like to give the positives first. The pattys were good. The girl at the counter was nice. Now, for what they got a 3 for. I drove 30 min because this was requested when we were in Alpharetta working for a week. Ordered 6 BEEF pattys, 1 coco bread, and 2 Hawaiian rolls. Paid and waited. Girl let me know they were out of the coco rolls and refunded my money. Then, when I arrived at our hotel, while they tasted great and all, they had very little filling! Then, we pulled out a lighter colored one, my hubs didn't notice and took a bite of. It wasn't a beef patty. Why 1 different? We didn't order different! Anyway, that's why the 3* and we prob won't be back.

The cornbread appetizer was nice to have while waiting for my main dish, jerk shrimp and grits. Both were really good and just what I needed as I was starving. Restaurant was somewhat busy but I was still seated quickly. Staff were nice and the store had some nice decorations.

Tastee Spoon never disappoints! The service and food is always on point. Our server was great. They gave complimentary cornbread and it was moist and sweet and we loved it. For our entrees we ordered the Snapper and Jerk Salmon/Chicken Alfredo. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. I've been eating at Tastee Spoon since 2016 when it was in Perimeter Mall.

Pretty good food!!!! The jerks sauce is amazing. We ordered the Rasta plate which came with three sides which was perfect for us because we are vegetarians., so I ordered mac & cheese, cabbage and rice and beans. Everything was pretty tasty, cabbage was a little undercooked for my liking, but everything was flavorful. Service was awesome and the restaurant was nice! Great for groups, happy hour and date night. The DJ was playing GOOD VIBES.

We went to the Tastee Spoon for this week's team lunch adventure. The food was very, very good. I ordered the French toast with jerk chicken. The French toast pieces tasted like cinnamon rolls without the frosting (yum!) and the jerk was sweet with a little zing on the back end. Piece of advice- get the bone-in. It falls off the bone and has a ton of flavor. I wish I could give half stars ... this one would be a 4.5. The 1/2 star off is only because it's a little slow. It's definitely made fresh to order, but don't go if you're pressed for time.

We celebrated my bestie's 50th birthday here and had a blast. We reserved for a party of 15 and they had a long table set up for us. Our server Jay was gracious, attentive and friendly. He immediately served us bottled water and we ordered a bottle of rum punch. The menu is everything from breakfast, small bites, entrees and dessert. We started with corn bread and ordered. Our sides arrived first and then proteins. Everything from fried snapper, oxtails, jerk chicken and goat. They play reggae music and a DJ set up to keep the music coming. There's an assortment of desserts too if you're craving something sweet. If you're in the Dunwoody area, skip the trendy spots and go here for good vibes, food and service.

I thoroughly enjoy the spot. They're really good for carryout for me. It's in a shopping center area so it's free parking so you don't have to worry about trying to pay as you dine in or wait for your food. They have a bar, it's a pretty decent size bar. But a lot of the bar spaces used for eating and not for predominantly drinking. But if you want liquor, they have liquor. Depending on what time of the week it is, they have entertainment. I believe that Fridays and Saturdays are times what they have a DJ or something along those lines. You might want to go ahead and check their Instagram page or something like that to figure out exactly when. The service sometimes is a little bit long to wait. And it feels like they only have one person working there. But that's not the end of the world, it's just noticeable to the point to where you would probably wish that you would order it online instead of ordering when you got to the register and waiting for your food. Also, if you sign up for their rewards program, you get money for points toward your orders. If you go enough, I would probably suggest doing this. Now. I will say that I didn't think that I got the same points or any points if I ordered online versus actually using my car at the physical location. So keep that in mind as well. But having a little extra money off or working towards some money off your next order is not a bad thing! Jamaican beef patties - The patties were good. The first time I went I got some chicken and some patties, and I don't know what they gave the sauce for, I'm guessing the chicken, but I'd use that sauce on the patties and they kind of set them off. But they don't have as much meat as I would like them to, but they were still very well cooked and flaky and pastry crust. But again the sauce took it to another level LOL. Jerk chicken wings - Now the wings, really really good wings. You get a lot of wings in there tender and fall off the bone. They are splashed with that sauce, the sauce is really good, and I have zero complaints about them. Cabbage - The cabbages well seasoned and pretty tender. There's usually a go-to if I want to get a vegetable from there. It's super solid and they give you a nice amount. Mac and cheese - The mac and cheese was all right. Probably would not rush for it, but I would eat it again. I'll probably try a couple more other size before I get back to that. It had the layer of cheese on top, but it was basically like a sheet of cheese, so when you tried to put your fork into it, the entire sheet would fold in. So once you get past that, the macaroni and cheese is actually pretty okay. Not super flavorful but as a cheat code, the jerk sauce goes well with that too LOL! If you make some jerk macaroni and cheese, I would be there front and center for it. But as it is right now, the marker of cheese is pretty okay. It does have some creaminess to it so I'm not trying to downplay it at all, it is pretty good. French fries - The fries were pretty basic. They was cooked very well and has some seasoning to them as well. Again, have to drive this plate home, that jerk sauce goes well on these fries too! Jerk sauce - I feel like since I've already hinted at it, I need to say that the jerk sauce should be its own review point and the jerk salsa is really good. I bought a bottle of it. It could go on a whole lot of stuff! It is sweet and tangy, spicy and savory all at the same time! Love it. Baked wings - The wings are pretty good. They were heavily sauced and packed with flavor. They were super tender and had a really nice size as well. I've actually gone back to get them more than once lol. Broccoli and cheese casserole - The casserole was actually pretty straight. I really wasn't sure what they were going to give me but it was pretty good. It really was a very small size so I wish it would have been bigger, but that could be because it was so good or it could have been just because I wanted more LOL! Shrimp with peppers - The shrimp of peppers weren't what I thought. They were pretty good and had a lot of heat to them but it was just basically shrimp and peppers in a broth or soup. I've been here multiple times for carryout and it's probably going to be a go-to place for me.

10/10!!!! Recommend everyone to here! I will definitely be a regular here! We had the curry goat, oxtail (don't have picture), chicken patties (get these over the beef they are made fresh and delicious!)! For the sides we go plantains, rice and peas, Mac and cheese, and fried! I highly recommend the first two! The vibe is great here and they even have a DJ Friday and Saturday! Service is great and people are so friendly!

    Anything or accommodations for Vegans?

Yes, they have veggie plates available! I ate a veggie plate with quinoa, cabbage, and I forget my third side because it's was a while ago. Sorry!

Can somebody tell me on a scale of 1-10 how good is the food ? Somebody with good taste buds i really wanna know how is the Mac and cheese just as well the jerk pasta it's in most the pictures?

The Mac is the best. Spicy fried chicken and fried pork chops are fabulous. Made fresh on site. Don't forget collards!

    Where is the new location?

In dunwoody plaza next to Party City. 4741 Alford Dunwoody Rd.

What's the portion size of the oxtails ? How many do you get?

You get a generous portion, 10 ounces. The number of bones, depends on how the oxtails are cut.

They also offer sashimi and sushi, although those are limited to one serving per person. In addition to the table service, there is a buffet with an impressive selection of meats, dim sum, sushi rolls, curry, vegetables, snacks, fresh fruit, desserts, milk tea, and other beverages. The quality of the food was very good, especially considering the price. Everything I tried was fresh and flavorful, and the variety made it easy to sample a little of everything. The restaurant forces you to select and commit to a dining plan on their system before you are even allowed to enter and see what food is actually available. To make matters worse, there is a clear discrepancy between their physical menu and digital ordering system. Upon reviewing our photos later, we noticed that several items listed on the physical menu (which were not crossed out) don't even have a matching category, tag, or option on the tablet ordering system. P.S. Before anyone questions whether I simply missed these items at the buffet/snack bar: I personally went to the buffet area at least three times and reordered using tablet ordering system multiple times. There wasn't even a single tag or label for those missing items. If they were supposedly there, the real question should be why they were never restocked. Charging $78 a person while failing to properly update the digital menu or sync it with the physical one is incredibly misleading. You shouldn't charge this premium price without letting customers know exactly what is missing beforehand. There were empty spots at the buffet stations, and the restocking speed was painfully slow. I wish we had known this before coming; we would have happily just done the lunch special instead of paying for the Tier menu. Our waitress was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and easily the best part of the experience. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the rest of the service. The hosts seemed overwhelmed, and the front area felt understaffed to handle the crowd. We arrived about 20 minutes before our reservation. My friend is currently wearing an Aircast boot for a foot injury, so we separated and had her wait for the table first since walking is difficult for her. The entrance was crowded with waiting guests, but no one told her that there were actually open seats behind the bar. Even though it was obvious she was injured and needed a place to sit, the host did not offer any alternatives. She eventually asked if she could sit at the bar, only to discover plenty of open seats behind it. It would have been much more thoughtful if the host had actively mentioned this to the waiting guests. The ordering system was another major source of frustration. The tablets at our table either had an outdated system or were dying--they frequently froze, and we had to try multiple times just to place an order. Even worse, the system missed one of our limited special items entirely. We actually lost track because, after we submitted our order, they swapped our tablet for a new one, and the system got completely confused. We had to ask at least three times about the missing item before it was finally addressed. Huge thanks to our waitress, who personally went back to the kitchen to communicate for us and ensure we got our missing items. Without her, I'm not sure the issue would have been resolved at all. As for the food, the restocking speed was disappointing. One of the milk tea machines was virtually empty for the duration of our visit--it only had a tiny splash left at the very bottom, well below the line, and was never refilled. The meat was sliced extremely thin, which wouldn't normally be an issue, but due to the type of grill plate they use, the meat burns instantly and constantly sticks to the grill plate. If you're going to slice meat that thin, the grill setup really needs to be reconsidered. One more thing: the restaurant's advertisements are completely outdated. They still advertise a $28 membership card, which is no longer a valid dining option (it is $58 a year now). I wish someone had informed us about this before we made our choices. Overall, I wouldn't return to this location. The waitstaff were warm and professional and worked hard, but the incomplete menu, slow restocking, and poor communication made the experience disappointing. We also appreciated that no one rushed us to leave after we paid and sat for about an hour--that was a positive note to end on.

K+K is doing things right, and I thank you!

I came in on a Saturday for a 6:15 PM reservation for a party of four. I arrived first on time and my first guest arrived at 6:20 PM. I was told I had to wait till the rest of my party arrived. I set at the bar while waiting for the rest of our party. My friend approached the hostess stand to ask if we could be seated as a party of two . Also, advised the Mexican girl that it will be only 3 but, we don't have to wait for her cause she's not gonna be eating since we're on a time schedule and was attending an event. The hostess was very rude and dismissive, stating "that's not how it works" in an unprofessional tone. Later, another hostess came over and said our reservation had "run over" at 6:35 PM, even though we were already in the restaurant before our reservation time window had passed and there were clearly open tables available. The restaurant wasn't packed at all. When we asked again about a table for two, we were told we could either sit at the bar or wait. The interaction felt very unwelcoming and unprofessional. We told the hostess we wanted a table for two to sit down and eat . The black hostess said , so you want to stay at the bar or you want a table . I said a table. She said , the bar ‍I said no a table. She then said that they could refuse service if we had an attitude, which was not the case . I simply answered her question by saying no . Told her I didn't know that saying no is me having an attitude. At that point, we chose to leave and not spend our money there due to the poor customer service and the rudeness of the hostess. Overall, the staff we interacted with on June 20th at 6:15 PM were rude and unprofessional and clearly need better customer service training. Based on this experience, I understand why there are so many negative reviews.

Couldn't have been happier with our choice. Reviews I'd seen online mentioned parking is a bit limited and that the restaurant is frequently busy. So we were prepared for that even though we were going on a Thursday mid morning. I think there was an influx of people celebrating graduations because it was in fact very busy. However we got very lucky with parking and happened to come in right as someone was leaving. I was sure we would have a wait for a table, which of course would have been fine, but actually we were seated immediately! Which was super nice and unexpected. The atmosphere is bustling but not in a bad way. The restaurant itself is adorable and has a lot of character. It feels like you're having breakfast at an old friend's house. The service was great and our food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I ordered a specialty coffee, I believe it was the almond joy cold brew, and it was delicious. Strong, which is how I like it and not overly sweet. I ordered the chicken biscuit on the waiter's recommendation and it was absolutely the best fried chicken I've ever had. Juicy and crispy. My husband ordered the pimento cheese omelette and was very happy with it, the bacon was thick cut and smoky and flavorful. The pimento cheese grits that came on the side for me were also a stand out, such great flavor. The biscuits are fantastic and the blueberry basil jam that came with my husband's meal was such a nice touch. We will absolutely make a point to come back to Buttermilk Kitchen next time we visit the Atlanta area.

First things first: the Chicken Biscuit. Buttermilk Kitchen's biscuit is on the crunchy, honey-flavored side. I personally prefer fluffier, more buttery biscuits, so this one wasn't my favorite. That aside, the chicken was crispy and well-seasoned and paired well with the cheese grits. If you ever wanted a dry, crunchy version of Homegrown's Comfy Chicken Biscuit, come give this a shot. I also tried the Hash Bowl, which was a bit underwhelming. It was a *lot* of potatoes compared to the eggs and bacon bits, and there wasn't a lot of seasoning other than the bacon. Would rather recommend one of the other options if you end up visiting. The drinks are good as well, would recommend the matcha latte (not too sweet!) and the French Press coffee.

Perfect if you're coming from shopping around Perimeter or just want a laid-back spot with really good food. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful, but what really stood out was how welcoming the atmosphere is. It's one of those rare places where you can bring friends, kids, or even go for a casual date and it still feels like a great experience. Service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole meal even better. You can tell the staff actually cares about making sure guests enjoy themselves because I have two 1yr olds with me and still got to enjoy adult life. When the bill came it was $17.95. Maybe I saw sandwich only or just mis read it. Ad a drink, tax, and a tip and my lunch was nearly $28. I can't do that every day. But it was nice as a treat.

Attentive, but not bothersome. I ordered the special ~ four succulent shrimp on top of salmon on top of mashed potatoes, blanketed with a rich, creamy and tasty sauce, accompanied by steamed asparagus. It was a pretty plate. It was a delicious meal! In fact, I forgot to take a photo. However, I was mostly done when felt a slim bone at the back of my throat and, while discreetly trying to get rid of it, Christian, the manager must have noticed something strange about me because, although he and the staff were hustling around, busy working, he inquired about my well being. I explained the situation as best I could while fishing for the bone with my tongue. The bone is now lodged near the back of my throat. After a few minutes I managed to remove it. I stopped eating the salmon in favor of the dessert that was included with the meal ~ lava cake!!! Before leaving, I ordered their delicious broccoli cauliflower casserole and some rotisserie chicken for later. When I saw the bill my mouth was agape. I asked, "What happened?" The manager, Christian, took it upon himself to remove the meal from my bill. That's the way you treat a customer! I didn't ask for that and I didn't expect that to happen, however, I was pleasantly surprised! I'm definitely going to revisit this establishment again!!

RC had approached her with a flier at a gas station, informing her that his restaurant had just opened up. Anyway, I'm ordering my meal, the same meal I always get each time I go.
