It's been years since I've stepped into a 3 Dollar Cafe. Oddly, I've never been to this one. These places were the hot spots back in the 90s. Seriously. This location is pretty limited on parking and it can be tight. I found a spot and walked in, and was hit with a massive scent of Fabuloso. That should've been my first clue on what was to come. It looked clean and I was able to grab a booth. Service was super fast. Typical bar food here but the wings were always great back in the day. I browsed menu and went with the wings (mango habanero). My coworker grabbed a turkey burger for himself. Food came out pretty quickly. My coworker went to the restroom and I started going into my wings. Perfectly crispy and the sauce was good. The house made blue cheese was not really good. My coworker came back, and as he was sitting down, a baby roach crawled out from under his burger. I had eaten half my wings at that point, and just opted to finish them. But the smell of fabuloso started to make sense. Our waitress took the burger away and my coworker just opted to leave. I will say everything else was great but, yeah, I won't be coming back. Damn. Hate that because I love the nostalgia of 3 Dollar Cafe. And I get roaches make their way in from time to time but in the food? No thank you. read more

I have not been to a three dollar café in probably over 25 years. I was glad to see they were still around the Atlanta area. I came here over the weekend to visit a good friend. It has a very sports bar vibe. Our waitress was very attentive. I got the potato chips with blue cheese on top and they were delicious. I also got cheese fries with some ranch. This location is the best Three Dollar Cafe! The service is always good and fast. The food is very consistent and delicious every time we visit. Most importantly it reasonable. The ambiance is very much a bar setting but if you're looking for quiet that covered patio is your best bet. read more

Need a place to eat for lunch and this hidden gem popped up. We were seated right away and it was fairly busy during lunch. I ordered the blue cheese chicken sandwich. It was good the bread was good only suggestion I had was it needed to be made with chicken thighs instead of chicken breast. Wings was on the menu and I saw reviews saying you gotta try these Wings. They were fried nice, hard, and crispy just like I liked them but they lacked flavor. The chicken needed to be seasoned a little before frying, rather than relying on the sauces to provide flavor. I did enjoy the fries!!! Service was okay. It was one of those we gotta smile but hurry up and eat so we can go home services. They seemed friendlier and more cordial when we were leaving. Wasn't a bad experience. Three a dollar cafe has been around since the 80's and they are a staple in the Atlanta area for wings and a variety of good tasting options. If I am not mistaken this location is where it all started. Original Location so to the workers and owners it's personal! The atmosphere is intriguing with sport's memorabilia flat screens throughout and outside deck covered seating. The entire place has adequate outside lighting while inside is dimmer and cozy. Staff is courteous and accommodating. They make it a fun place to visit and easy to come again. While this order was strictly to go, I have a sense of envy for the ones who are actually dining in! As a huge wing lover- this is one of my favorite spots for wings!! My first impression of this location was not the greatest. It's an older building that gives me Cheers vibes..."where everybody knows your name." However, our experience made it worth visiting. The staff was friendly and made us feel right at home. You know-one of those come in and seat yourself spots where you find lots of regulars! We found a booth in the back playing ESPN highlights and was greeted right away. From the time we were seated to the time our food came was about 10-15 minutes! Now that's a record! Wings we're delish and a nice size. Fav flavors are definitely hot and wet lemon pepper. It's your standard tavern -- dimly lit, decent patio, and a pretty sizable beer menu. I mean, what more can you ask for? I came here due to the rave reviews about their "famous" chicken wings! I like to consider myself a bit of a wing Connoisseur, so I decided to check it out with one of my coworkers. The wings weren't bad. But they definitely weren't great and surely not fame-worthy. They kinda skimp on the sauce (and I like my wings SAUCY) and while they were nice and crispy, admittedly the chicken was a little dry. A plus? I like that you can mix and match we many flavors as you like, but if you want them wet? ASK. Another good thing is that they have a wet lemon pepper! Service was good and attentive! But $13 for a 10 piece wings? Honestly, i'd rather go to my neighborhood take out wing spot and get a six pack at the liquor store. You go to a place like this for the vibes. Best hot wings anywhere. I was literally raised on these wings and I've been coming to this location to get my wings for as long as I can remember. They also have an excellent beer selection in bottles and cans so start with whatever your go to beer is but then look over the beer list before ordering a second. Over the years I've also had their burgers, quest dip and salads and I've never been disappointed. The service can be a bit slow for a refill because the servers are running all over the place so flag them down before you go empty. Up front parking can be limited so you may want to drop your passengers off at the door to get a table while you park in the back lot. All in all I love this place and anytime I'm in the area I have to stop in. read more

How do I say this? It just isn't what it used to or should be. Loved this place for years, then COVID hit and the perfect buttermilk ranch changed to a thick mayonnaise less flavorful version. And recently the best anywhere honey mustard salad dressing has also been ruined. It is now so spicy hot, I can't even eat it. It's hotter than the wings are. And tonight the water tastes bad.
