Late lunch at Pappadeaux which was my first time here. Came for the chargrilled oysters and they were out, which was a bummer. Calamari was good and crispy. The crab & spinach dip was just okay.I can't remember the name of my entrée (it was a specialty item) but the crusted sea bass over spinach and tomatoes in a buttery sauce...A winner! Bartenders were super nice and made me a custom drink that hit. I'd come back.

I took my friend here for her birthday. At first, I almost suggested going somewhere else because of my previous bad experience.. But I am so glad I didn't because this was an amazing dining experience. The server Kenny made it amazing! We ordered the Pappadeaux Seafood platter and it was so delicious! I had everything we wanted: Fried shrimp, fried clams, stuffed crab and popcorn shrimp. The dining area we sat in was sunny and a nice quiet corner so we could hear each other and catch up. We are thinking of going back for MY birthday!

A group of about 10 of us went in last night, we had reservations and were seating right away. We had Niiya as our server and she was awesome! Very friendly, and fun. She was fast and very attentive without being overbearing. Everyone had a great time here! I had the filet and it was ok, not the best steak ever for sure, but everyone that had a seafood dish absolutely loved it. They're still talking about it this morning, I just don't eat seafood.

Pappadeaux is NEVER a bad idea. Never. Yet, we rarely venture to this Alpharetta location. We did this weekend, however, for my daughter's birthday dinner. She was turning 4 and wanted to wear a fancy dress. After considering plenty of other restaurants in the metro area, we landed on old faithful. Pappadeaux has food the whole family can enjoy, a dedicated children's menu, and offers an atmosphere where one could safely dress up or come more casual without feeling out of place. The experience did not disappoint. Our waitress was great and everyone enjoyed their food. We were offered a free dessert for the birthday girl and chose the banana pudding. It comes in a large mason jar, so everyone was able to get a small serving that more than sufficient for our party of 5. As a note, for anyone who has been a longtime Pappadeaux customer: the menu continues to shift while keeping several popular staples. The seafood Cobb salad is one of my go-to menu items. So, I really happy the waitress let me know of the changes so that we could customize my salad if needed. The big changes are (1) this served with a wedge instead of a lettuce mix , and (2) comes with a French dressing rather than the creamy vinaigrette.

Love Pappadeaux! We always get the same thing everytime we come - the mozerella sticks and fried shrimp with French fries. It is absolutely delicious everytime. Definitely recommend reservations, but depending on the day you may be able to get away with not having one.

My 2nd time gracing the bar at this location. The bartenders are always nice and attentive. The food is always good per Pappadeaux's... Everything came out hot and we went there late so of course I was expecting an attitude and did not receive any at all. I so appreciate you all. I'm sure I will be back and will be justice, please. The baked potato's are HUGE lol side note

Many say that Pappadeaux is over rated but that'll never make me not like them! I love them! The food is always prompt, tasty and of great quality! I love this their seafood. The salmons are always my favorite. The salads are the best, they never disappoint. The drinks are always made perfect. I love their bake potatoes. Customer service is always top tier.

The stuffed grouper was cooked to perfection and the savory carrots were a plus. The ambiance was nice and quiet and the staff were all very friendly. I throughly enjoyed the brownie. Would definitely return.

Sunday brunch, easy in and out. Parking was a breeze...we were seated immediately. We were able to grab one of the booths in the bar, which is always preferred. I had the Cobb salad, skipped the creole dressing and opted for their creamy vinaigrette (a favorite). Salad was a touch wet, I imagine as a result of them washing the greens which is always a welcome practice. Primary issues is a watery salad has a tendency to dilute the flavor of the other ingredients. I recommend ensuring your greens are at least dry before you add the other ingredients. Mom had the Atlantic salmon and a baked potato, both which were delicious and flavorful. Service was excellent, it's always better in the bar;) While we enjoyed the playlist, the volume made it difficult to carry on a conversation without continuously having to repeat ourselves. An overall decent experience considering Pappadeaux's is chain restaurant.

Nice environment, excellent service and there were so many food options it was hard to come to a decision but I ended up with the Mississippi Catfish Opelousas

I was recently here with my best friend and her mom for a late Saturday lunch. We had a reservation so when we arrived, we didn't have to wait long to be seated. This location is nice and really large! I loved the open views especially during our rainy visit. Our server, Taj was ok. Not the greatest service but it wasn't the worse. I felt like he was just going through the motions and not really present in the moment. For starters we shared the fried calami and octopus. This was a good dish but slightly salty. We also shared a brownie dessert which was yummy! We all ordered something different for our entrees. I really enjoyed my trout and grilled shrimp dish. Served with truffle potatoes. I also had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Very overpriced for 8 oz ($20)!!! The food portion size was huge and I definitely enjoyed leftover once I got back to Alabama. I haven't had Pappadeaux in a number of years. I can see myself eating here again. Hopefully with better service.

Why are the portions so huge?

It's a restaurant that caters to families. Most times serving sizes are big enough to share and perhaps take home for leftovers. The food is always fresh and yummy. Options are endless. Enjoy.

Does this location serve brunch? If not, which Atlanta area location does?

I don't know if they have Monday - Saturday brunch. But I've been to the Sunday Brunch Buffet and it's delicious and it's so many options.

So when Alpharetta opened, I was ready. Let's start with what they got right. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful. It's giving upscale, classy, a little loud but still grown and sexy. You can tell it's meant to feel expensive. And I do love a good valet moment right at the front... makes the night start off smooth. Now... this birthday dinner situation. We had a reservation for 9 and somehow ended up split into separate booths across what felt like multiple sections. For a birthday? That's just not it. Especially when I'm looking around seeing other parties our size seated together with no issue. There was even additional seating that was never offered to us. The service felt just as scattered as the seating. Our server was kind but clearly overwhelmed. Because we were split up, everything came out disorganized... and I mean full chaos. Entrées before salads, appetizers hitting at different times, and one person never received their appetizer at all. That's not the experience you expect here. Now let's talk food... because this is where I really had to pause. I ordered my steak medium. It came out rare. Okay, mistakes happen... but when it came back, it was extra well done. And I'm sorry, at a steakhouse? That's just unacceptable. That should be the one thing you get right every time. Now I will absolutely give credit where it's due. The wedge salad? Delicious. Fresh, crisp, and that blue cheese dressing with the crumbles... divine. The lobster tail was also really good, no complaints there. The Brussels sprouts, though, were undercooked and just didn't land. Overall, the flavors just didn't hit the way I know this brand can. It lacked that consistency I've experienced before, and that was disappointing. I did speak with a manager and they were gracious and invited me back, which I appreciate. And I'm going to be fair... they are newly opened, so I'll give them some time to tighten things up. But right now? It's a no for me on the overall experience. I'd still recommend checking it out for the ambiance and potential, but if you're going, just know they've got some things to get together first. I'll revisit... just not anytime soon.

It almost bordered on too much attention since our server boasted about how much they wanted us to feel catered to, but that's what you're paying for, so be prepared. Food-wise, I loved the pimento fritters that reminded me of arancini, but gooey since there's no rice. The spice from the pickled jalapeño mixed with the sweet honey-esk sauce paired super well with the fried cheese. I think they could elevate the dish even more by adding sprouts on top, cream in the middle, and freshly toasted crostini or small buttermilk biscuits to soak up the rest of that jelly. The shrimp and grits were also delectable, with a good amount of shrimp and sausage on the corn and grits. I enjoyed the hint of spice from the jalapeño and the richness of the grits. My only criticism is the amount of oil in each bite. If they tone down the fat and add a side salad or other crisp, green vegetable, I think it would be perfect.

Every special occasion we can make it 30 minutes north to celebrate, we have. It's held a special place to us. Unfortunately, we just ate our last meal there. The entire experience was one of the worst we've ever had at a restaurant. It was practically empty for a Friday night and service was very slow. Our server was nice, but not as attentive as expected with only a few tables at once. Upon arrival, the hostess told me we needed to wait a few minutes to be seated... which didn't make sense with how empty the restaurant was. Once seated, after 5 minutes the server came by to greet us. We ordered drinks and then it took a while to come back for meals. No specials were mentioned, we placed the order and 30 minutes later the entree came, though salads came after maybe 5-10 minutes. While waiting for entree to come, the manager passed directly beside the table and turned his back (the first time it was only one other table in the section and the second we were the only one) to walk by. For an 8:45 arrival for a late dinner, it took 5-7 minutes to be sat, until 9:10 to place the order, 9:15 for the order to be put in and until about 9:45/9:50 for a steak, fish and side to come. Once dinner came, it was decent overall but the potatoes with the fish weren't cooked - and there was no one for me to share that with because once food was dropped, the server didn't return. My husband's steak was burnt on the ends, which the fish did, too, unfortunately. When the server cleared the table, it took her 5 minutes to come back when she dropped the check and asked if we wanted a chocolate dessert on them. At that point, there had been no discussion or real welcoming of being there, ONLY the server coming by despite watching the manager wander the restaurant aimlessness the whole time (including adjusting a chair beside us and door on one of the private rooms), no check for quality of food and then a speed at the end at 10:02 p.m. once we got the check. The person who worked the hardest of all who we see was the curly-haired bus boy who seemed to be all over the place and working his tail off. My husband also mentioned his cocktail was made well. Unfortunately, the rest was very disappointing which we absolutely hate for a place that's been so special to us... and, is a restaurant that's quite pricey - especially for the quality of meal we received this evening.

It's a beautiful restaurant inside meaning it's good for a date, a night out with friends or family, or a great place to celebrate for a prom or graduation. She ordered the soup of the day, which was like this cheddar soup that came with these two sauces, which one of the sauces was a jalapeño based sauce, which was spicy, but not too spicy to wear it wasn't edible. She did like her soup and she also ordered the lobster and smoked Gouda ravioli for her entrée. She had no complaints considering she bagged the food up to go and wanted to finish it right there, but she couldn't. Lol. I ordered the twin seared chicken, which is actually half a chicken pan seared. My chicken was so delicious! It was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection to where it was fall off the bone. Just how I like it! The rice and the green beans paired well with it. My rice was cooked well, meaning it was not mushy or hard. And my green beans were a great consistency as well. My little one had a chicken tender salad since she loves cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, pretty much anything that comes in a salad that's not the lettuce. Lol. I must say I was impressed by the size of the salad because it was huge for a child. It would be great as a size salad for an adult. The chicken tenders were an amazing size, bigger than what most restaurants would give especially for a child's plate. I was highly impressed by the size of the portions for the children because the price is pretty standard for a kids meal entrée in comparison to other restaurants that give less. Our service was awesome! I wouldn't expect anything less considering the ambience of the restaurant. Our server was attentive, and he even bagged up both of our meals for us. This place is a 10 out of 10 and yes, I will be frequenting this restaurant a lot more in the future, even if it's by myself to sit at the bar.

During covid they removed the patio, so there is actually no outdoor seating anymore. I think that's why I most find myself not going there - is the dining and bar areas aren't super to my liking, I like bright and airy feeling venues. But they do have some live music and specials every day during the week that do make it appealing to be here different days otherwise which is brilliant marketing.
