This restaurant definitely surprised me in a very good way. A couple times after driving past La Wings, I didn't even know it was open for business. The location isn't so great, the exterior does not catch your eye, and the interior sometimes just looks barren. Nowadays, this place has been a consistent stop for me whenever I'm trying to get an affordable and delicious, late-night meal. As the name would suggest, La Wings specializes in wings. They do have a lot of other options on their menu including Philly cheesesteaks, fried seafood, and even Chinese Lo Mein and fried rice. From what I remember, they have 30 different kinds of wing flavorings, with different sauces and spices. I got their honey-lemon pepper wings and those things were delicious. The wings were fried to perfection, with a perfect crunch to it. The honey and lemon pepper had decent balance and the interior was juicy. I would certainly be tempted to try different flavors. Surprisingly, their fried rice is some of the best in the area. I couldn't tell you what makes it so good, but their shrimp fried rice is fresh tasting, not too oily and super affordable. Their fried catfish is decent, but nothing to write home about. Service here is quick and accurate. I like how they offer combos, where you can pair wings with their fried rice or wings with a Philly Cheesesteak. It certainly allows for some diversity of orders. Be aware of their hours. They typically open at 3:00 PM, but are one of the only places that will stay open until midnight. I'm sure La Wings has come up clutch late at night before. La Wings is a standalone business with a small parking lot. This is strictly a take out place only with relatively quick service. We came here Friday night, arriving at about 9:45 pm. We both ordered 10 pc chicken wings with fries and a can of soda. I got the dry garlic parmesan wings and cajun fries. R got the dry lemon pepper wings and regular fries. I almost walked out while placing my order, and I certainly would have if R wasn't with me. He wanted wings though, so we both put up with a rude young man who was taking orders. He actually rolled his eyes at both of us many times because there were multiple times while we were asking him questions about the menu items that we were unable to understand him. First of all, he mumbled a lot, wore a face mask and did not try to make himself heard over the loud volume of noise coming from the open kitchen right behind him. His eye rolling was very annoying. There was a woman who periodically took orders at the counter, and she had much better customer service skills than rude guy. This place was very busy while we were there, and it looked like most people either called in their orders beforehand or had earlier placed their orders online. Most of them coming in still had to wait for their orders. Inside, there are enough seats for 5 people to sit while waiting for their food, and no tables. I wish I could say that service was quick, but it wasn't. Once our food was ready we took it home to eat. Just a suggestion: if you get the fries, eat them on the way home. Otherwise, these crinkle cut fries will get hard as they cool down, and they won't be that good. I thought that the chicken wings were delicious. They were overall good sized pieces that didn't look like they came off of pigeons, nor were they so big that I had to worry about them being injected with steroids. The wings were cooked to perfection - crispy the outside and moist on the inside, and enough flavor without being overwhelming or having too much salt. Awesome wings spot if you want a quick, delicious meal! La Wings shares a parking lot with Hammocks, which is right next door, and has ample room. Because they opened during Covid, there aren't any tables or chairs inside, there is only a counter to order. La wings has wings, fried rice, fish, and fries, and although we only got the wings and fries, I'm excited to come back and try their other menu options. I got 40 wings with different sauces, and although they were all good, the lemon pepper hot was absolutely amazing. The wings were cooked perfectly and the sauce was flavorful and actually spicy, which I personally love when I get wings. The Cajun fries were also pretty decent. This place is fire. If you're ordering out tonight and on the fence tonight about where to order from, this is one of your best options. I have consistently gotten one of the best Cheese steaks in Atlanta here, and I've had them all. Boneless wings are real chicken, not some glorified chicken nugget. Catfish is well seasoned, breaded well, and cooked perfectly. Been through the menu here a bit now, and it's all good: Fried rice, regular wings, philly, boneless wings, catfish so far. Addendum: Having gotten the Chicken Fried Rice a few more times, it's just colored a little dark, possibly from thigh meat. It's definitely not pork as stated in my earlier review. --- New place, give it a little time, but they're offering really good food at really good prices. My typical order is enough for two meals, and it's cornmeal breaded fish with rice, and a 10 piece wings. Their wings are good. I wouldn't call them noteworthy compared to other very good wings, but they will absolutely, positively, 100% hit the spot if you like wings. They do a fine job on that front. It's of note that when I was given blue cheese, it was from a container on a table, and I do not believe it was temperature controlled. The fried rice comes in a hefty portion, easily over a pound of good fried rice. I've done Chicken and Shrimp, and I think the chicken had pork mixed in as well, so that's a note for anyone who is on a specific diet. They MAY have changed that at some point though (Again, this place is less than a month old as of the writing). The Shrimp one is a little bit light on shrimp, with maybe 6 in the entire rice order. Their fish are quite hefty portions, cornmeal breaded and fried with thick, heavy slices of white bread to go with them. I tend to use hot sauce on the bread, but I'm also not from around here so please defer to someone else more educated on how to use that properly. All said and done, if you call and pick up from there, this is 20 bucks plus your tip you're leaving. For me, who eats quite a bit (please go refer to any other review for proof), this is two heavy meals worth of food. 12 bucks after tip, for a quality, full meal? I'll take that. There's some things to work out, but this place is pretty solid, so I'll give them some benefit of the doubt. read more

I live nearby and I have tried this place maybe three times before. When they first opened they had good sized wings and a ton of rice. Great portion size, you could literally eat off of it a couple of times. Now the portion size is small for the fried rice and the wings quite small. I recently went and had the fried rice and wings and in my rice was a about half egg shell, which I bit. Very unpleasant. I was the only customer and I didn't see any more to go orders so why the rush that you can't pay attention to details especially when cooking. Maybe why I hardly see customers there anymore.
