When we arrived, we noticed there was a large party being hosted in the private/back party room, which was nice to see that the restaurant is able to accommodate larger gatherings. Our waitress was also very kind, friendly, and attentive, and we appreciated her customer service throughout our visit. There were, however, a few concerns we wanted to bring to management's attention. First, we noticed several desserts sitting off to the side behind us that appeared to be uncovered. We are not sure whether these desserts had been prepared in advance for customers to order, but if that was the case, we strongly recommend that they remain properly covered or protected at all times. With customers and employees walking nearby and insects potentially flying around the restaurant, leaving uncovered desserts exposed does not appear sanitary or appropriate for food service. We also experienced an issue with the temperature of some of our food. Two of our seafood dishes arrived only semi-warm rather than hot and fresh. We ordered the Pappadeaux Platter with stuffed shrimp and fries. Unfortunately, the fries were cold, and the seafood on top was only lukewarm. Food should ideally arrive at the table hot and fresh rather than having one component become cold while waiting for the other items to be completed. We did bring the issue to our waitress's attention, and she was very accommodating and provided a $12 credit toward the fries. We appreciated her effort to address the concern. However, the credit did not change the fact that my husband and daughter were unable to fully enjoy their seafood dishes because the food was not served hot. We are sharing this feedback because we have visited this location before and had a great experience, so we know the restaurant is capable of providing excellent food and service.
