First impressions on walking in: This has a small sitting area - maybe 8 to 10 tables. It has K-pop playing on the tv. They have Pepsis products in a case and at the fountain. They have cups for water, that you can get from the fountain or a pitcher they have put out. You order at the counter or on a kiosk. This was our first time here so we decided to get the sampler platter. It comes with drums, wings, bulgogi fries, potstickers, street corn, and coleslaw. We wanted to try a few things. We got spy garlic and spicy sauce on the side. The food came out quick - and it was a lot. We ended up having to get a to-go box. Everything was good, but our favorites were the potstickers, the drums and bulgogi fries. The coleslaw was a nice light finish too. The three of us could t finish it and took 2 of the 4 wings home with us. The service was friendly start to finish and we all agreed we'd be back! read more

Bonchon Alpharetta - Old Milton Pkwy - Sampler - Chicken Wings Near Me - Alpharetta, Georgia

The Yangnyeom chicken strips were very juicy. A slight crunch and not over sauced. They were really delicious. SOTTEOK SOTTEOK- I enjoyed the crunch on the rice cake. The sausage was cold. Not my favorite. The kimchi was straight out of a jar flavor I did not care for. The pickled radish was sweet and just ok. read more

Still the best Korean drumstick chicken. Still the original NYC K-Town recipe. Love the place and will keep ordering it forever

Meh, it is overpriced for the bibimbap with tofu. Frozen spinach, some fresh veggies, plus $2.50 for kimchi. Without the latter it would have been tasteless. Good portion, nothing vegetarian worthy for the price point. Plenty of strip mall parking for this new location. Friendly staff...include kimchi for the orders, overhead is minimal. Some tables inside to dine. read more

Great place if you're craving Korean fried chicken and other snacks. They have traditional wings, drums, and boneless options for chicken. The drums here are HUGE. When I order to-go, all the sauces are nicely labeled. If you want something other than wings, they also offer bibimbap, rice cakes, corn dogs, and cheese corn. Service is friendly, and ambiance is super casual. read more

We first experienced Bonchon in NC (and we seek out that place whenever possible) so when we heard there was a location in the metro area, we were excited to enjoy the same experience. Why 4 stars and not 5: We were disappointed to find this location has no seafood protein on their menu (and this may keep us from returning). The location is also much smaller (but this is understandable). Otherwise, the food was good. The house fried rice requires no extra condiments or seasonings (except maybe a few pickled radishes for an unexpected punch). The wings are always fried well and were demolished quickly. If you enjoy pork, beef, and chicken, this is the place for you. read more

Bonchon is so far my favorite of the KChicken wings in the area. The spicy is my favorite and their wings seem larger than other competitors which is a win. read more

Some friends and I stopped by Bon Chon after a day of shopping in Alpharetta. The food was really good! The Korean Fried Chicken Katsu was delicious and I also took some Korean Fried Chicken Home for Dinner that night, it was phenomenal, even reheated. I believe the Korean Fried Chicken I got was the Ginger Garlic or Honey Garlic and it was sooooo good! I highly recommend. The kimchi is extra spicy to me and I eat a lot of kimchi, I wish it was bit milder, but still good. The prices are average, but they do have a few deals. The ambience was nice, it was very modern and like a Korean street food spot. The employees were nice and helpful as well. If you are looking for some good Korean street food or amazing Korean Fried Chicken, stop by and give them a try. read more

I would give the food a four. Barely. The service was non existent. You ordered your food from a kiosk and then someone brought it out to you later. The ambience was bad from the start. Just an empty shell at lunchtime with no one there. It's just an upstart restaurant without having to try. Making the customer do all of the work. There was one girl at the counter, but really served no purpose or any support. Based on location, there's to many places close by to have to deal with this. Sorry...that's how I see it. read more

Bonchon is a famous Korean fried chicken chain. The first location in GA that opened is in Fayetteville and we had driven all the way down to get some so I'm so so glad that there's a closer spot now. We ordered everything from tacos, chicken sandwhich, japchae, to bibimbop and they were decent but it's undeniable that their specialty is chicken. Especially soy garlic sauce. Their chicken coating is so addictingly good. It's crispy and yet the chicken itself is very moist and delicious. Can't wait to go back and the service was great. read more

My boyfriend has been craving Bonchon from his DC says. Boy, was he excited to see it open around Atl. We ordered 10 piece combo (8 wings and 4 drumsticks) they were soo crispy and juicy. We got 2 different flavors and soy garlic was my favorite. Both wings and drumsticks were huge. We only ended up eating 2 wings each. Fries were super crispy as well. We will definitely be back read more

A+ customer service! The restaurant is sparkly clean. It's a pretty small space and was pretty busy for a weekday evening. More affordable than kimchi red, which is almost across the street, but kimchi red has more flavor options/variety. I had the chicken strips, and they were larger than I expected. The chicken was double fried, crunchy goodness. I got the Korean BBQ sauce, and I wish I could taste the sauce more. Some pieces I could really taste it and others I couldn't. My bf got the soy garlic wings...and soy garlic is AMAZING. The batter on the wings was absolutely delicious, but the chicken looked too soft for my liking. I'lol definitely be back to try more menu items...and to order the soy garlic chicken strips! read more

Stopped by for dinner not expecting it to be their grand opening. That says a lot since there were no hiccups in the order or the food. The double fried wings were crispy, hot, and flavorful. Corn cheese is delicious. I think my favorite was the bulgogi fries though. The food hits me more like Korean street food than banchan, but I haven't gone through the whole menu yet. read more

While the in store dining area is more on the cafe/diner side (from an ambiance perspective), the location is very clean and pleasant. Their staff was approachable, friendly and knowledgeable. As this is was my first visit, I decided to slow walk the experience just in case...I only ordered the wings and the Korean donuts this go round. Both items were outstanding, a welcome surprise. We will mostdefinitely be back read more

I have ordered twice from here each time I'm in the area. I live 30 minutes or more away. I got the drumsticks. They were huge! Almost the size of a smoked turkey drum you get at the fair. 2 of these alone are almost enough to feed a big guy like me and stupid me, I got 6! So I spent the next two meals eating this chicken. Not only do I not regret it, but it tasted better cold and it was still crunchy a day later. On my second trip I ended up just getting a 10pc combo. This was filling and just as tasty! The fried rice was fantastic and had some of their chicken on top with their house sauce. Pretty much a meal on its own. Also very tasty! I also got their coleslaw on one trip, and that goes well with KFC style chicken. The location is pretty small and setup like a fast food/fast casual restaurant with counter order and self serve drink machine. I wouldn't say it's a date spot, unless your date is a foodie and likes KFC style fried chicken. Service was great, it does take longer to cook the drums due to how large they are, so be patient. It's worth every bite once you get it! I have had CM Chicken, Hello Chicken, and Pelicana chicken and can easily say BonChon is my favorite spot now. read more

I stopped by Bonchon for the first time tonight and got carry out. After easily ordering and paying on a kiosk (great pictures of everything made it easy to decide what to get) I received a bag ten minutes later and came home. Wow, the chicken is incredible and the seasoned fries were great. I got the side of pickled radish instead of coleslaw and it was simple but so full of flavor that it was a perfect compliment to the very flavorful chicken. I highly recommend this place! I'll be back. read more

Bonchon Alpharetta - Old Milton Pkwy - Fried Chicken. - Chicken Wings Near Me - Alpharetta, Georgia

BonChon is delicious, especially this location! From the wings to the sides (in this case, kimchi), everything is so tasty. My go-to order is the wings with half soy garlic and half Korean BBQ, with a side of kimchi! Also, the service here is so, so kind. They are efficient, personable, and they pay great attention to detail. Thanks BonChon :)) read more

My time trying Korean Fried Chicken and eating at this new restaurant in Alpharetta. I understand it is a franchise location of a nationwide chain of these restaurants. One thing I noticed is that the prices were what I considered high for fried chicken. I ordered the combo meal of wings and drumsticks. The wings were good sized and crispy on the outside even though they were covered in sauce. I got the Korean BBQ sauce version but should have gotten the Ginger Soy version. I am sensitive to spicy foods and the Korean BBQ had a spicy edge to it. I was told later that the Ginger Soy version was less spicy. The lady at the counter tried to help by giving me some Ranch dressing to dip the chicken in and also some of their pickled radishes, which she said helps cut the spicy taste. As I said the wings were good sized and crisp. The drumsticks were also good sized, but they were a little overcooked for my liking. I gave the place a 3 star, middle of the road rating. I didn't see anything special about it or the food and the prices were high in my opinion. I am unlikely to return. read more

Great food! I love the Philly location and this is as close as it gets! Quick service and amazing flavor! Taking it to-go isn't as great so if it's your first time, eat there and enjoy the freshness and crispness you don't get in their to-go orders. Don't skip out on the fries 10/10! read more

Food and service were great! The woman who greeted me explained the menu to me and made good suggestions.

The best-fried chicken in town. Way better than Chong Man or BBQ-chicken in Duluth even though these places also make good fried chicken this place is just on another level. I'm glad that I don't have to drive down to Fayetteville to have Bonchon anymore. Highly recommend this place. read more

Bonchon Alpharetta - Old Milton Pkwy - Spicy and soy garlic mixed - Chicken Wings Near Me - Alpharetta, Georgia

My husband and I recently moved down to Alpharetta and was so excited to see that there was a Bonchon nearby bc we love bonchon chicken. I've got to say, in all the years I've had bonchon this was the worse ever. Our chicken wings were not crispy at all! Additionally, the kimchi smelled overdue like it's been left on the counter uncovered for days. The only good thing in our order was the seasoned fries in which I gave 1 star. I called to express my concerns and especially the overdue kimchi, and the lady said she will double check the kimchi and carry out wings, the sauce on the chicken will make the wings soggy. To some extent, I agree that the sauce can make the wings soggy, but of all the years I had carry out, they were never once soggy like this. Bonchon is known for the airy double crunch crispiness and this was NOT it. Lesson is, please check your food thoroughly before leaving if you're doing carry out, bc this was a huge disappoint of at least $50. Will never go to this Bonchon again! read more

Tried Bonchon for the first time for lunch today and so glad I did! I had the spicy chicken wings (batter dipped and twice fried). The wings were large and the crispy crust almost shattered like glass! The spicy sauce was just the right level of heat- legitimately hot but really delicious! I also had the bulgogi fries! Just like the chicken, the fries were extra crispy and they piled the toppings on for a delicious, super-tasty side! I can't wait to come back. Also, the service was kind, attentive and professional. And the ambiance was fun with a K-pop beat thumping in the background. read more

Bonchon was amazing, it was as if I was eating chicken I grew up eating - Highly recommend!

The food at Bonchon is delicious! If I wasn't already trying to lose weight they'd see me a lot more often lol. The service is super pleasant and I definitely felt welcomed from the moment I walked in. The ambience is nice, but it was pretty busy and most of the seats were taken up so just be aware of that potentially being an issue if you plan to dine in. My only minor complaint with my chicken strips was a couple of my pieces were pretty much all breading with very little meat inside. Not ideal considering the meals aren't the cheapest. Hopefully that was just a one time thing though! read more

Chicken was crispy, but prices were over the top for what you get. $9.00 for 6 tiny boneless nuggets! Wings were good but prefer the option to order flats only. Fried rice was ok, chicken in the rice was dry and flavorless and again very pricey at $13.00 for an order. The cheesy corn was good but small and expensive. Service is also very slow, for a quick serve restaurant this does not work. Paying white tablecloth prices at a walk-up to counter to order restaurant is not a good model. Chicken was crispy - that's the only up side to this place . read more
