I've had better. But worth it, if you're trying to save a little coin. There was also only one soy sauce in the bag, thought that was a little skimpy! My Experience: I typically order the 10 Pieces Chicken Wing and Shrimp Fried Rice Special Combination (Tip: add honey on the wings ) BUT I also order my own thing, I call it Singapore noodles with shrimp and chicken, without all the spicy that they typically add to it - but I don't know what they formally call this on their menu ... I just really like it because the noddles are things, like angel hair, & is tasty too!! So I was in the mood for some "NYC Chinese food". But I gave up on being able to find it in Sandy Springs until I stumbled upon this spot! In the corner of a plaza I found this stile of heaven. The Mongolian beef was cooked to perfection. And was a great end of sweet and savory. The garnish added an extra flavor profile that was not expected. The chicken and broccoli was fresh and prepared more in a soup broth than the typical gravy substance; a welcomed surprise! Both lo meins were full of flavor and vegetables and not as "sauce" filled as other places. I genuinely couldn't get enough of it! The service was great and straight to the point. And I got everything I needed in an efficient manner. The restaurant was clean and had simple but nice decorations. 10/10 read more

food is fine, but they charge you a "convenience fee" for ordering online. They don't deliver but somehow it's a convenience to me to order online and then go pick it up. The lady says they get charged for using the online service and that if I call and order there is no convenience fee to which I said, "you do realize you pay the phone company as well right"? Anyway, on a $10 order I had to pay an extra 10% for the convenience of ordering online. I consider that exorbitant and will no longer be ordering from them. read more

Better than average Chinese joint that has become my go-to delivery and takeout place since moving to the area recently. I've dined in once, though the restaurant isn't much to look at and warm service isn't really their major selling point (though there's nothing wrong with it.) They specialize in preparing solid food quickly and at a reasonable price, which makes them an excellent choice if you just don't want to cook and also just don't feel like going out. So, the steamed white rice is identical to all the steam white rice you've ever had at any Chinese restaurant in your life. I've tried four dishes: the chicken and broccoli, the sesame chicken, the spicy garlic shrimp, and the crab Rangoon (which are adorably misspelled "crab angles" on the menu.) The sesame chicken was fine, but really it's pretty generic. I probably wouldn't choose it again, because it has no real pizzazz. Just deep fried chicken tossed in some sesame sauce. The broccoli chicken and spicy garlic shrimp have a little more imagination - both are served with veggies and have more complex sauces. The crab "angles" are just like the crab angels you'd get anywhere else, from PF Chang's to a mall food court. Heavy on the cream cheese, light on the "krab," and accompanied by neon red sweet sauce. I love the spicy shrimp with veggies, but the sesame shrimp is soggy. The fried shrimp is just outweighed by all the batter and I didn't care for the dish at all. read more

The lady running the front/answering the phone is rude. Ordered veggie fried rice with NO EGG. After getting home with my mouth set to eat, what do I find..?? EGG. Call the restaurant and spoke with the woman whom I placed my order with and advised her that my order is incorrect -- I asked for no egg. Honestly this is my favorite Chinese restaurant ever ! The food Is fresh , fast and delicious. The fried rice is the best I've ever tasted ! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu . The negative experience I've had is I ordered delivery online and they forgot my duck sauce I requested along with missing silverware. I didn't tip the driver that time - he was rude. I called the restaurant to let them know because I've supported them for a while. I was told they don't give out plastic ware during dinner unless requested or duck sauce. I requested both . Lotus happens to be one of my neighborhood Chinese delivery places. I usually order the chicken wings because I am Leary of unrecognizable meats. I placed an order for shrimp fried rice and chicken wings and received foreign looking chicken wings. I called them to discuss and was given an attitude and was told that I was wrong! I've been a couple of times and can give this spot a solid, "Yes, I like the food." It's pretty standard fare. If you have a hungry belly, not a lot of time and are budget-conscious, Lotus is decent. I most enjoy the sesame chicken and stir fried broccoli (not on the menu; ask for it as a side). The crab rangoons are good. The fried rice -- various types offered -- are also good. I find that the food is not overly salty. It can be quite a bit sweet with lacking spice for Chinese food, which is why I dinged a few stars, but -- again -- it's average. Nothing to be thrilled to pieces about; nothing to avoid. And the place never ever seems to get busy. There's a television set that is usually on low and plenty of both and table seating. Good for small groups. But it seems that the most regular choice is that people get their orders to go. You rarely find people eating here. read more

After trying out a bunch of places in the area, Lotus beats the rest. Their food is consistently good and always extra spicy when we ask. We usually do delivery and they have our address in their system. Sometimes they're too quick on the phone, but that's only because they have a lot of business (not because they're rude). We frequent the General Tso's, crab angels, and hot sour soup. I've been hopping around the menu to see what I like best, and so far the hot pepper chicken has been my favorite. The spicy lala chicken was great the last time we ordered; it uses white meat and lots of veggies. For all of the negative reviews, I'd like to mention that the location has changed. It's still in the same plaza, and the phone number hasn't changed. Their location is really nice now and the owners are a nice family with some young kids. read more

Changed my mind shortly after putting in order. Way over-priced. Plain rice with meals (which is $9.95 or $10 bucks). Fried rice extra $1, shrimp fried extra $3. So i paid 13.90 ($14 bucks) for sesame chicken dinner with shrimp fried rice. No drink, and no egg roll. Egg roll extra $3.20. So i would be pushin 20 bucks if i wanted egg roll......with no drink. I had never eaten at Lotus before, but I was in the mood for some good lo mein and hot and sour soup. I ordered takeout and when I arrived I was immediately repulsed by what I saw. There was a woman sitting at a table preparing the ragoons. She had them all laying out on the table with no parchment paper or anything whatsoever underneath them. Even if she wiped the table down first, did she use chemicals that are now on the ragoons? I have previously worked in the restaurant industry and I've never seen anything like it. It made me wonder how my food had been prepared, which is not a thought I like to have before eating. The cashier wasn't very friendly. Didn't even make eye contact with me. The General tso's chicken was perfectly spicy, the green beans were perfectly cooked, the crab Rangoon was actually crunchy (could use a little more filling though), and it came way before the quoted time. The only disappointment and reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the hot and sour soup was the worst I've ever had. Not spicy or sour just syrupy and strange. I love hot and sour soup so that was a bummer. One thing that's nice is you can order online and add customizing comments. I requested that my fried rice be vegetarian rather than pork based as many usually are and it happened. I also requested spicy string beans instead of regular--that did not happen. Lotus is cheap with fast delivery. Overall it is some of the better chinese delivery I've had (not quite as good as my old spot in Honolulu, but best I've had on the East Coast). I'm not a huge fan of the fried stuff but I love the eggdrop soup and the dumplings. They aren't greasy or over salted. Defintiely a good go-to for fast, reliably good chinese take-out. read more
