Decor is simple and reminiscent of the 90s, but very clean with sparkling bathrooms. Little Bangkok provides generous portions and the food is magnificent. The dumplings were packed with chicken and fresh veggies. The portion filled me up and I happily sipped a glass of red wine with my dinner. The fried ice cream was fantastic. The food is so worth the visit but the lack of space for cars, constant pedestrian traffic, and competition with local traffic... boy it's going to make it hard to ever want to eat in here. Service was basic and friendly for takeout. Amicable but not fervent. We ordered and waited about 15min before going back in and checking to see if it was ready. No fancy tech/texts or staff updates when your order is done like I've experienced in similar restaurants. No worries though. The restaurant is old school from head-to-toe. A true relic of the early 90s in decor. The prices seemed a little inflated given the tiny, tiny space and un-pretentious environment. But they do give very generous portions and the food is magnificent. The dumplings were THICK, and absolutely packed with chicken and veggies. Whewww. The thai basil spring rolls were also fantastic. I'd never had them cut that way and it's quite ingenious for keeping the filling from falling out into the sauce. The ginger chicken didn't necessarily wow me but it was still tasty. It was enough for two. The star of the show was the coconut cream pie which is not on their online menu for some reason. Oh my goodness. I rarely find desserts worth the price tag (I think this was around $10) at restaurants but baby this was a certified banger. Buttery, creamy and on the higher end of subtly sweet with a soft yet solid texture that's complemented by coconut flakes.... *fans myself* DELICIOUS! I first visited Little Bangkok back in 2017 and recently returned this autumn to see if it was still as good as I remembered. I'm happy to say it still holds up. This hole-in-the-wall gem on Cheshire Bridge serves authentic Thai food, and also has a separate Chinese menu. It continues to be a reliable spot for flavorful dishes and quick service. Entrées range from $18-$20, and the dining area offers plenty of seating. On this visit, my partner and I shared three dishes. To start, we ordered the Fresh Basil Roll with Shrimp ($8). The rolls were neatly wrapped in soft rice paper, filled with crisp carrots, bean sprouts, cucumber, and shrimp. The fresh basil really stood out. They were fragrant, bright, and perfectly balanced with the other ingredients. They also went very well with the peanut sauce. For mains, we had the Pad Kee Mao ($18), made with thick rice noodles stir-fried with broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, tomatoes, red bell peppers, onions, chicken, and basil. It had a nice kick of spice and tasted incredibly fresh, which is exactly what I look for in a good Thai stir-fry. Sometimes there are double parked cars, small lot, but right off of Cheshire bridge with tons of cars. It's doable, but prepare your patience. I saw that I was close to a mom and pop/small family owned Thai place and decided to check it out for my birthday. As someone who loves Thai food, I haven't found my go to in Atlanta yet. It's a small restaurant, but can definitely get busy. The parking lot at the front is very small, but there's a sign at the front that says you can double park but to let them know so if customers need to leave, they can. It has an older Asian style of decor, definitely gives mom and pop, small store like in the 2000s. The service was alright. When she came to take our order, she let us know it would be an additional $1 to substitute the hot and sour soup for wonton soup in the lunch special. I noticed on the menu they have a charge for sharing food. The Thai flavor was there. I enjoyed the lad nar, and wished I had rice to go with the gravy. I have only had Thai food twice before but never heard of this drink. I highly recommend getting it! This is one of my favorite places to get crispy tofu. Unlike many restaurants, they serve theirs with a rich, peanuty sauce (instead of sweet chili). For the price you get a generous portion of tofu. As an entree we had the panang curry with just veggies, medium hot. Next time I'll ask for more spice. It had a nice flavor otherwise. To finish we shared the mango sticky rice. I was so excited to finally try this dish! Yay for mango season. It's just as creamy and sweet as I'd hoped. The tang of the mango pairs so well with the coconutty sauce. I love Balinese food so I decided to give this place a try. Parking was a bit tight, lots of double parking so be aware. Inside was cute and cozy and on the smaller end, however we were easily seated. I noticed most people ordered to go rather than dined in. The service was great, our waiters were patient and kind. Food wise, I had the General Tsu chicken and Fancy fried rice (not pictured). My friend had the Mandarin chicken and Basil rolls (not really sure of the exact name but its pictured). Then for dessert we shared the Mango sticky rice. Both chicken entrees were delicious. We shared with each other to see which was best and honestly they both were really good. The rolls were good as well, it tasted really fresh and was paired well with the dipping sauce. The mango sticky rice was so delicious. It tasted as delicious as ones I had in Bali. The fried rice was tasty, however my one complaint comes from this dish. Again, the rice it self was tasty but I felt like for the price point there should have been more meat in it. It comes with beef, chicken, shrimp, eggs, onions and a slice of tomato. However I felt like I was eating rice mainly. For starters there were only three shrimp in it. Three pieces of shrimp added at the very top and that was it.. There was more of the other meats but still not alot. For the price ($20) I expected more. Otherwise everything else was great. This is the best Thai food in this part of Atlanta. To be fair, there are not very many other options for Thai food in this area, but Little Bangkok is by far the best option here. I recommend the Fancy Fried Rice. It seems to be the best bang for your buck and delivers a really good amount of flavor. Came here on a Wednesday afternoon. I was lucky to have grabbed one of the last parking spots up front as they were limited while also being pretty busy by 7 pm. It was high traffic for take out as well as dine in but I was still able to easily grab a table for 2. I shared a Crispy Bangkok duck, Tom yum and tom kha soup. For the soups, you can order a small which is enough for 1 or a hot pot which can feed 2-3 people. Both soups were tasty but since I have a preference for clear broths, I liked the tom yum just slightly more. The duck was lightly fried with a thick gravy over the top. Even though it was fried, I did not find it to taste or feel oily. A large bowl of white rice was also served on the side either/or for the soups or duck. Overall, I had a good experience. Service is very to the point which makes it an efficient visit. I would certainly like to come again and try more noodle and rice dishes. read more

Parking is definitely a bit limited, but we were lucky to snag the last one before they had to start double parking! Otherwise, I think this is the best Thai food I've had in the area. It is cozy little restaurant and can't wait to go again. The service was excellent and very quick. I was shocked at how quickly they came out with our dishes. We truly waited for no more than 10 minutes each time we ordered. The Tom Ka soup (not pictured) was perfect for the rainy day, warm and SO flavorful. This may have been my favorite thing we ordered. Prior to COVID we frequented Little Bangkok a few times a year. And this time we passed by and there was a spot. Went in and received a very friendly welcome. Got a booth which is another added plus. We ordered the Mandarin Chicken and the Penang Chicken Curry. First the Hot and Sour Soup arrived and it was delicious. Really prefer black mushrooms to button ones but this is the way they have done it forever. Their Hot and Sour Soup might be the best in the city. The fired wonton wrappers that accompanied they were so very fresh. Then the entrees arrived and they were plated nicely. The helpings are large and the price is reflected. Our dishes have increase about $4 or $5 each. The Mandarin Chicken had a great heat to it but a bit too much garlic for my taste. The Penang Chicken was also very good. Ordered Thai hot but was not even hot. (3) Thai basil chicken: this dish is usually cooked with ground chicken. I don't know why they are using sliced chicken. Decided to stop by this little mom and pop styled Thai food place called Little Bangkok in Atlanta! The inside is SOOOOO cute filled with cute Asian trinkets! The staff is sooooo sweet and accommodating and even let us inside closer to the end of their close time of 2:30pm which was so sweet!! We ordered a variety of food to try! We got tomyum soup to start, then got veggie and pork potstickers, and also got the pad kee mao noodles! The soup was AMAZINGGGGGGG, it was sweet, tangy, and creamy. It's got tons of mushrooms and chicken so make sure you're a fan of those before you get it! The potstickers were quite underwhelming in my opinion. They lacked flavor inside and outside. The meat inside also felt undercooked. In terms of the noodles, I was SUPERRRR impressed!! They were spicy and flavorful and tangy and sweet at the same time!! There were so many vegetables (mushrooms, peppers, jalapeños, greens, and tomatoes!!) The chicken inside was a little bit over cooked but overall, the dish came together really well!! For desert we had a mango sticky rice, this is definetly an acquired taste but if you like mango you will love it! The rice is so interesting and I found the combination divine. Don't walk to this place....run! While Parking isn't the best, they make up for it with the friendly staff, Thai ambiance, and delicious food and drinks! Since we were having Thai food, plum wine was a must. This is the only sweet wine that I will drink and we only drink it while enjoying Thai cuisine. Ok now the exciting part-- they have Mee Krob on the specialty appetizer menu. While it is not 100% like what I grew up eating, it is the only Thai restaurant in Atlanta that I have found will offer it or even make it these days. It is fried rice noodle pieces with a sweet sticky sauce served usually with shrimp (they also include pork in theirs). We also ordered a Thai House Salad which came already dressed with a thin peanut dressing that was super flavorful. Entrees: Chicken Massaman Curry was so flavorful with large vegetables included. Chicken Red Curry (spicy) was also so flavorful and a bit spicy which I prefer. What I LOVED is that these two dishes are so similar yet different. When they came out, you could easily tell which was which and they both had their own unique flavors which I appreciate so much! Pad See Ew noodles- these are thicker noodles served with broccoli and a sweet soy sauce. I wish there were more noodles, but that was ok. Lad-Na Beef- another noodle dish served in more of a gravy style sauce. My daughter loved it! The table is given their own container of rice too which was really nice. We didn't have room for dessert, but they do offer things like fried ice cream. I wish I had room for a Thai Iced Tea, but I was so full! We will definitely be back! read more
