Good little spot tucked away at the end of a strip mall. Vibes are good for a small sports bar. Always a fine place to grab a buddy and a beer and just chill out. Been here a few times now and overall it's always solid. I usually get the mango habanero wings. They're good every time. Not something that completely blows you away but definitely solid. Fries are pretty good too and the ranch is actually really good. Service has always been great too. Every waitress I've had has been friendly and attentive. Overall 4/5. This was a nice, chill, late night spot. Rock and roll blasting, sports on every screen, good food that was piping hot, great beer, and great service. This is our favorite sports bar. One because of the service but also because the food is too tier. Their wings are undefeated. We love adding tater tots. So if you're looking for a neighborhood borrower or a slightly dive type bar then this is your place. But, don't let the fact that it has little dye bar action going on fool you and thinking and it's not a good bar. It's a sports bar so you have plenty of TVs. Okay. If you wanted to watch a game, you could definitely do that here with a group of people. It's an a shopping plaza, so you have free parking. There's a few of the things here but not a whole lot to walk around to do, so. If you're coming here, this will probably be the desire destination for you. They're open late, considering is done with each, they're open till 2:30 so that is a perk or a bonus. I tend to get off of job later if I work my night job so having something open past 11:00 is pretty clutch. There's no outdoor seating but they do have plenty of indoor seating. The bar is pretty large, and they have plenty of seating there, and they have another little room with a billiard set up so you can play pool if you wanted to as well. They have a few games there as well. I mean like slot machine type games. You would think that that wouldn't be a thing but people do sit at them and play them for a while. They have a golf game that seems to be really popular too. The last time I was aired people on the golf game they got really competitive! Cheese curds - these were the best cheese curds ever...these was them ones! They got like a garlic crust on them...it's addicting and you will want more. Mushroom Swiss burger - this was a good burger. Came out hot and got a little messy on me, but that's okay. Solid burger ...cooked very well. Baked potato - pretty standard baked potato, decent size and everything. Lemon pepper wings - now here is where I have to kinda slow down ..these had more salt on them than a salt mine. I couldn't finish them. Sodium levels were over 9000! Club sandwich - The club sandwich was good. Now I'm not a fan of the marble bread, not at all, but there was so much going on on the sandwich that I didn't even need mind. You can get it with ham and turkey or you can get it with chicken, the one I got most recently had chicken on it. Cut it a four pieces and it was very thick and stacked. Would I do it again, absolutely. Classic - The classic was a pretty basic burger. Came with the basic fix-ins, and a pickle spear on the side. Like the Swiss and mushroom Burger. Burger. It was very Hardy and had a really good size story. I wore all of my burgers medium so it came at the right temperature with just I'm on a peek in the center that I like. Pretty filling, I didn't need a whole lot after that. I guess the allure of this spot is the fact that it's open late. So if you've had a late night or get off work late like me, this may be useful for a quick bite. I think they're open till 2:00 in the morning so just keep that in mind because at the end of the day, it's Dunwoody and a lot of stuff, no majority of the stuff doesn't stay open that long. read more

A great hole in the wall bar. Lots of sports. Bartenders give as good as they get once they get to know you. Really good bar food (for the most part, I'm not a fan of every item on the menu). We used to be regulars when we moved close to Dunwoody. Then a couple of years ago, this business got sold, the menu changed (for the worse), and come of the best servers left. Cut to 4:50 pm today ... We walked in and sat ourselves at a table, and waited. There were 9 customers total, including the two of us. The bartender saw us, finally, but didn't say anything to us. Later, she then motioned to R that she'd be with us soon, but, get this, she continued to stand behind the bar and complain about her job to anyone around that would listen to her. We were at a table that was about 10 feet from her, and R could hear her clearly state that she was there at work, didn't want to work, and didn't want to stay. While she was throwing her tantrum, she obviously didn't want to work, and no one was being served, including us. It was like that for at least 10 minutes, so we got up to leave. That's when the whiny bartender came towards us with menus, asking, "Are you guys leaving now? Do you even want a drink?" No thanks, we're going somewhere else that cares about customers. This used to be a great place to eat and have drinks. Now, it looks like the only ones here during the off peak hours are friends, but the number of friends looks to be dwindling. I don't recommend coming here, unless you're friends with the employees. Otherwise, don't be surprised if you get awful (or no) service. read more

The place is a joke. I entered. There was a sign saying seat yourself. There were three open tables all 330 from last diners nobody to greet. I decided to empty out one of the tables and sat there literally for half an hour trying to flag one of the attendance at last I had to shout out loud please may I have some help. She comes in and goes. What do you wanna drink? I proceeded ordering right away since I knew she's gonna be lost the game for a simple chicken burger half an hour later she comes back saying did you order? I was being run by two gals, but still it is not my problem. Another lady came in. I thought she was a waiter. She said oh no I come here often since they are busy I help free of charge for them at last she ran back flagging the waiter saying hey this guy has been waiting for 40 minutes for food she brought in a soggy burger. I asked for a Slice of cheese on it. No cheese literally shoved it on the table then goes oh I need to get you some silverware there. She goes another 5 to 10 minutes to get silverware and napkin. Stopped in from out of town to have dinner and watch PAC 12 Championship game. Big screen tV was tuned to the game for us and 2 other tables. (No sound) we ordered drinks, pizza and Queso /chips to share. Pizza was not hot. Crust was barely cooked and really bland. I didn't think you could mess up pizza. The Queso was watery. Found The Bird on a Yelp search for sports bars in Dunwoody. GPS said closest one to hotel where I was staying. Walk in and there's plenty of TVs, initial good sign for a sports bar. Ordered a Guinness on draught, bartender brought me back a perfect pour! Food...patty melt cooked medium. Came out perfect and juicy. Crinkle cut Fries were straight out the fryer, perfectly cooked and hot. Also, ordered a 10pc hot/bbq mix based on previous reviews. Yeah...they are all that! Jumbos, fried, and not overcooked. The Bird is an excellent reflection of Atlanta's diversity and multifaceted people (FILA). Everyone comes to the Bird. People that work in the hospitality industry, businessmen hiding from their wives, frat boys that are gluttons for punishment, it truly is a melting pot. They definitely have above average bar food, I really like their pizza! I'm told their bison burger is pretty good, *if you're into that type of thing.* Their liquor options are a bit limited, I do wish they had a wider variety of everything, but particularly tequila. This is a great sports bar, and you'll enjoy yourself as long as you go in expecting a sports bar. Service was slow but they were very busy. There was a trivia going on so they sat us outside with two other tables and it was very quiet compared to inside. Kinda dark as there wasn't a ton of lighting but that was fine. We ordered before the sun finished setting so we could see. We ordered the special drink of the night, a cheap sugary concoction. Very sugary, barely any alcohol. Obviously it was on sale for a reason. We split nachos & I ordered wings with mango habanero sauce/garlic parmesan. They were awesome and I always get wings there. Was sent here on a recommendation. It looked pretty good from the reviews. BUT I must say I was disappointed. Waitress: She was awesome. Had great personality made great recommendations on the food Food: Was mediocre. I had the shrimp plate and My aunt had the shrimp po boy. The shrimp looked burnt to be honest but wasn't actually too bad. Drinks: We got a pitcher of the strawberry margarita. The drink was good. The meal and drink was okay. And ok priced. We paid about $25 each split bill. They also have karaoke. Tonight must have been a bad night cause of the weather - wasn't the best music selection. It was just not what I expected after all the "hyping up". I will definitely try to go with some friends later on but for now. Thumbs down. read more

We went to check it out for lunch. The server was very prompt in bringing our drinks. However, we needed a few minutes to peruse the menu. The server never did come back to take our order. She was too busy speaking with some friends about her housing issues. Her friends were the only other table in the place. So, since we were hungry, we left 6 bucks on the table for the Diet Coke and the iced tea and went elsewhere. Dear store owner, Please make sure you get your due for those 2 beverages. I had such high hopes for this place. We came to watch an Atlanta United soccer match because we heard about how great the atmosphere was and how good the food was. We've been to several sports bars/restaurants/breweries to watch all sorts of sports games. Unfortunately The Bird would be my last pick. I'd rather watch at home and order a pizza. The service was lacking majorly with a server that seemed annoyed with any question we had and rushed us along even though we were clearly there to watch the game with the rest of the people in ATL UTD gear. She also took quite a while to get drinks out to us. Now, it was pretty packed, but they weren't lacking for staff and we didn't really see her running around much until the match actually started. We got there an hour before kickoff. The food was just ok. The pizza had a decent flavor but wasn't cooked all way through. It was still doughy and the bottom had zero crisp to it. The wings were a little on the small side and they were barely covered in sauce--you could still see plain chicken wing where there was zero sauce on some. The blue cheese was really good though. And finally--the atmosphere. I like a good spirited crowd, especially during soccer. However, this place got insane. And it wasn't because of people really watching the match and cheering the team on. It was people just being drunken morons. Taking body shots, ordering shot after shot, getting more and more wasted, screaming about how hot the players were and being about 5 minutes late to every reaction. No one was getting cut off when they needed to. They were even rude to the Deep Eddy Vodka ladies that were there. The poor girls came over and gave us free shots of vodka because "we were the two nicest people in here". That's sad. We left at halftime because we just couldn't take it anymore. It seems like they have some good specials, but the combination of the overly rowdy atmosphere, less than desirable service, and disappointing food just make me not want to come back.
