I visited this place on a weeknight and we were able to be seated immediately. We got the "burger" (it's not a burger), some wings, and a combo plate of brisket and pulled pork. The wings we got with a dry rub. The wings were cooked excellent, but the dry rub didn't have much flavor at all, so we ended up using the sauce at the table. The wings were cooked perfect, so I'd certainly order again. The burger in my opinion was excellent. I would absolutely order it again. I got it with a side of tots, and I also loved the tots! From the combo plate, I really liked the pulled pork. Brisket was just okay. We also got a side of fries and mac and cheese with it. The fries were not good at all. They were pretty much untouched at the end of the meal. Highly recommend tots over fries. The mac and cheese was okay. Edible, but nothing special. I've visited twice, and both times the service was fast and friendly, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. I personally think the spare ribs are the star here. This place was great! We've lived in Atlanta for a while, but haven't ever gone to Fox Bros yet. We live also nearby the Inman park location, but we met at this location due to convenience for meeting some friends. I was hesitant it might not be as good as the other location given looking at reviews- but there was no need for any worry! We got brisket and ribs and both were smoked very well and tender. It wasn't fall off the bone tender, but easy enough to eat clean. Sauces were great and the shared size of the sides were quite large. Overall had plenty of parking in the back lot. The service was wonderful. I was greeted warmly, and when I explained it, it was my first time the person behind the counter, I'm millennial took his time explaining how it works. The Brookhaven location has a limited menu, which is fine. There's lots of seating in there. They weigh it for you and even though the menu may say a half a pound or a quarter a pound you can add as much as you like and you were charged accordingly. That part I like. He sliced the brisket in front of me and I asked him to chop it and he did that as well. Mac & Cheese was decent. I'm happy that it wasn't orange -but it was tasty. It might've made a little salt and pepper. Maybe a little onion powder but I'm used to that. I didn't put anything on it and enjoyed it ( I always have to count for the fact that my taste buds are not the same since being sick.) Now that I'm speaking of it, it's less salty than City BBQ. However, I don't mind the Salter City BBQ because I only eat it on average once a month, which is probably a lot, but I enjoy it. ‍ I guess the price is about the same. What you see in the picture was about $27 with a two dollar carry Away tip because I was just treated so nicely and professionally. City BBQ, but this is a great place to try in a pinch. So this spot opened up near me and I was elated! I love a good spot I get some smoked brisket or burgers or whatever. It's basically walking distance so I feel like I couldn't miss! It's in a little plaza so you might have to do a little bit of navigating to get where you need to go if you come in on the wrong side of the parking lot but that's not the biggest deal, not the end of the world! Since it has opened up, I ended up going with the smoke cheddar burger, green beans, brisket by the lb, brisket chili, and the mac and cheese. I asked the person at the front to let me know what his best and favorites were, and he decorated and dressed my food to his liking because he said it was solid so I trust him. We actually had a good conversation. They have indoor and outdoor seating if you want to sit outside on a nice day. It's in the same plaza as where you would find a mellow mushroom and Chick-fil-A so you'll find multiple people eating depending on what time you go. I was excited to try this new location but was immediately disappointed when I walked in and saw the menu. Its very limited compared to the other locations and serves everything cafeteria style. My ribs tasted like all of the flavor was boiled out then they were left on the smoker too long. The mac & cheese tasted like cheeze wiz and the string beans were salty. Another thing I didn't like is that the prices are listed per half pound of meat. However, if the staff gives you more meat (even if you didn't ask for it), you get charged extra. I asked for a half pound of meat. However, I didn't find out till I got to the register that I was given .85lbs so the total cost of my meal was higher. I think people should be asked if they want extra meat before being charged. I doubt I'll be back to this location. They get two stars because the staff is friendly. However, they'll need to make this location a bit more like the others to get me back in. read more

We love the other Fox Bros location but this one missed the mark for us. From what we could tell the online order for pickup menu was extremely limited. Not sure if it's the same if you dine in. We didn't see the usual combination plate options so we had to order a lot a la carte. I did like the smokehouse burger but man was it rare (raw?) on the inside. The online order form didn't ask for a temperature or whether to add/remove toppings. The fries, brisket, and coleslaw were good. I wasn't loving the Mac and cheese, it tasted a bit like velveeta. I will give them credit that it was ready very fast and pickup was easy. You can't park right out front but there is a lot in the back (shared with Chick-fil-A, mellow mushroom, etc) and it's a short walk through the courtyard from there. read more

After a couple of not so great visits, I decided to not go back for a while. Today (7/27/24) my daughter and I were running errands in the neighborhood, and we decided to go to Chic Fil A for a late lunch. On a whim, at the last minute, we decided to pivot and walk into Fox Bros across the courtyard from CFA. SO glad we did!!! Sometimes places need to iron out some kinks, and I get that. They definitely had a false start, but they must have taken the feedback and acted on it. That's commendable. I had a brisket sandwich with a side of crinkly fries. It was extremely delicious. Very flavorful, tender and the perfect amount of fat. My daughter had ribs and mac n cheese and she was also extremely satisfied. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. At one point an owner/manager (not sure which) came over and checked on us. I let him know that my experience this time was superior to my visits shortly after they first opened. He seemed to genuinely appreciate the feedback and acknowledged that they had some issues to work out at first. I see some other negative reviews, like my earlier ones. I had high expectations going in, and Fox Bros. absolutely crushed them. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a perfect smoky bark--easily some of the best I've had. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and had that perfect char that shows it was done right. Sides were just as strong. The mac n cheese was creamy, cheesy, and rich without being over the top. And the baked beans? Insane. Smoky, a little sweet, and packed with flavor--definitely not an afterthought like at most BBQ spots. Everything hit. 3.5 Stars is probably the spot on rating. Was exciting to get another spot close by in Brookhaven. Came in and got a to-go order for 4 adults and 2 kids came out to about 130 with a small tip. Smoked Turkey - pretty safe option, a little on the peppery side. Brisket- another good option, juicy even on the flat. Decent bark, and flavor. Saturday Special Short Rib - this was a big let down. Edges were far too burnt meat to bone ratio left little meat for a pretty pricey cut. Texas Twinkie - fun little appetizer, jalapeño wrapped in bacon. Stuffed with cream cheese and brisket. Worth a taste for sure but don't need a whole one to a person. Mac and cheese- this is the prize of the side dishes! Potato salad and green beans were average sides. Ambience was excellent, very new modern decor and new build. Service was ok, not many people in line so was asking about what the specials were (I personally didn't know what a Texas Twinkie was) and felt like they were uninterested in any questions. Went to check out the new location here in Brookhaven. I should probably be ashamed how I went in on those ribs but they were soooo good. This location has a limited menu, and that may be permanent, but I do wish I could get their wings. I ordered ribs, a side of Mac and green beans. I also had the butterscotch banana pudding. I wasn't a super duper fan of the BP. It was a little too loose for my liking, but wasn't overly sweet. The ribs were great as usual. The sides were cool also. I'm def glad they are closer to me now. Park around back--it's an open lot and should be plenty of space. However, be aware of the CFA designated spaces for curbside. read more

This was my first time having fox brothers and it was an amazing experience. We ordered to go, and like with any barbecue, you've got to eat it right away! We got the short rib special and the Tex sandwich. Let me tell you about this short rib!!! Most places have short rib in smaller pieces, but real barbecue places know that all the moisture and flavor is lost in the small pieces, so we got the Dinosaur-bone sized short rib wrapped in foil to take home. It was $48 for the giant piece, weighing in at 1.61lb. Worth every dollar. Super tender and juicy, and it was great to split because it was super rich. The Tex was also great, I appreciated how they didn't put the small shreds in the sandwich and it was only big pieces. Again very tender and juicy. The toppings on the sandwich cut the fat perfectly. Perfectly tasty. Comes with one side We got the broccoli slaw, which was surprisingly my favorite. The potato salad was good, but you might not like it if you prefer more chunky potatoes in your potato salad. The surprise winner was the Brunswick stew. Super flavorful and peppery. Pookie & Jett know what's up!!! I have passed this place many times but wasn't ever sure about it, as I am new to the A. I got the brisket plate with Mac&cheese and baked beans. I also indulged in the bread pudding. The brisket is THE BEST I've ever had. Like ever. Mac and cheese was good- I do wish it had some breadcrumbs and a bit more seasoning or some toasted cheese on top. Beans were good too but really felt like they needed some additional seasoning and maybe some burnt ends or bacon? The bread pudding was good, but I do have high standards for this dessert because I make my own from scratch. I do feel it was probably the better choice over the banana pudding though! This was my 4th visit to this location and the food was always decent . Not the best BBQ in the world but authentic enough. On previous visits I got canned soda out of their ice bucket to drink (they don't have a drink machine or ice dispenser) but on this most recent visit I got sweet tea. As I was checking out I asked the cashier where I get ice for the tea. She quickly responded "it's already made". I had no idea what she meant. So I looked around and asked her again. She then was clearly annoyed and pushed two pre-made cups of ice that were sitting next to the tea dispenser and exclaimed "THEY'RE ALREADY MADE!". I honestly thought that those cups were someone else's ice. A few things are wrong with this interaction. (1) She didn't really explain what to do. After this rude interaction, I sat down to eat my food. As I ate, I saw others checking out, who were equally as confused about the ice. She was equally unhelpful and rude to them. She could have simply said "There are some pre made cups of ice to your left there". (2) If this is how they are dispensing ice, it is wrong!!! It needs to be freshly scooped ice, as people order, not sitting out on a counter in a public space (health code violation?) (3) As I watched her prepare more pre-made ice cups she didn't use a scoop, but rather the cups themselves to gather ice (health code violation?). I'm pretty sure this is not to code. Probably wouldn't go back. The whole interaction was just weird. As I ate, I watched this cashier be rude and short with just about every other guest during the lunch rush. They were a bit busy, but she just wasn't a good cashier - and this is from my experience of working in fast food in high school/college. read more
