    Pastrami sandwich

Check your order before you leave. It is a shame that you have to do that but please look at my pastrami sandwich that I just purchase. No rye bread no thousand island dressing not slaw nothing like what the menu said. Maybe they just got a new menu but nothing on the menu is matching. I should have known when they said they were out of half chicken. How can. A barbecue place be out of chicken and you just opened. My pastrami looks like it has been left over from three days and it is so dry and tough. Need my money back. Crazy claim they made this pastrami and cooked for hours. Well it is overcooked and reheated.

Small little place to grab a quick bite of barbecue. There's some parking by it but it is a bit difficult since you're right on Roswell road. The food was solid but the sides definitely shined more. Really solid side of fries. It's inexpensive and a decent casual meal.

St Louis Ribs -1/2 rack - enough for 2

First time at this location - I used to enjoy the VA Highlands location a lot but then they closed up and opened in the outer burbs - smaller scale restaurants, but very comfortable for a place to get some of those insanely delicious St. Louis style ribs - they are so worth the trip- smoky and tender - I like mine dry so I can control the sauce - if you eat in - sauces are on the table. You can't go wrong with any of the sides. I did baked beans and slaw this time - but I change up with each visit. Service is fine- you order and they bring it out - if you need anything they are happy to grab it for you. I miss the old sit down restaurant and bar - but I'm glad I can still get the food. Totally recommend a visit.

Experienced through DoorDash in working in the area. A good surprise where I will have to try in person. The food was delicious. I agree you must try the muffins which is one reason I plan to visit in person to experience them fresh from the oven. Food packaged nicely to go and order correct. Chicken was not dry with good smoked flavor. Macaroni and cheese may not have been "traditional southern style" but it had good flavor and texture. Baked beans were also good. Nice portion sizes.

How slow the store was and how customer services is not really there

2nd time coming in and each the wait was long and they have all others in the kitchen making barbecue..... they spoke to me then didn't respond or speak back to me for 15 to 20mins .... I had an order paid for and called in it was just a sausage plate and 2 regular sides ..... and I felt like they were mad I was in the store.... didn't want my food sabotaged like Cracker Barrel does Just to find out they bagged my food and sat it down and didn't say anything ..... and this entire time I didn't mention anything and just waited sucks to be black on this side of town

Enjoyed a yummy dinner with the family on a rainy Friday at DBA. The restaurant sells bbq turkey, chicken, wings, brisket, pork, and hot dogs. They also sell salads and sandwiches. We enjoyed everything we ordered - the half chicken, chopped brisket, pulled chicken, collards with turkey, French fries, mac! And more. We ate inside and food came quickly. Plates ranged $16-22. Everyone who worked there was very friendly. Only a few tables inside and a few more outside, tons of to go and delivery orders.

Half rack with collards and string beans

The 1/2 rack was 1/2 burnt ends. The Meat was so dry it's not edible. The sauce is definitely spicy! Sides are good.

Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q…read more Fox Bros. has that hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint feel, but with plenty of space to hang out. There's a bar along with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the overall atmosphere is casual and laid-back. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and gave us some great recommendations, which definitely added to the experience. We went with the three-meat sampler and chose the brisket, ribs, and jalapeño cheddar sausage, with tots and the Fox-a-Roni for our sides. The Fox-a-Roni--a combination of their Brunswick stew and mac & cheese--was absolutely delicious and easily one of the most memorable sides I've had at a BBQ restaurant. The brisket was honestly some of the best brisket I've ever had. It was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite of the three meats. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was also really good, and while the ribs tasted great, ours were pretty small and didn't have a ton of meat on them. My only real complaint was the portioning of the sampler. We were told that as you choose a larger variety of meats, you essentially receive smaller portions of each. I understand the idea of a sampler, but we literally received one slice of brisket and two-three fairly small ribs, so the portion-to-variety concept didn't make a ton of sense to me. I would've preferred slightly more substantial portions, especially considering how good the brisket was! I also ordered a cocktail, but unfortunately it wasn't really for me. It came across very sweet and mostly juice, although I think that may have been more about the particular drink I chose than the bar itself. Overall, the food absolutely delivered. Between the incredible brisket, Fox-a-Roni, friendly service, and laid-back BBQ atmosphere, Fox Bros. was definitely worth the stop. I'd happily come back--I'd just skip the 3 meat sampler next time and order more of that brisket!

Soon after we sat down, there was a live performer that played guitar and sang songs, she was so good! For the food, the ribs were delicious. The ribs fell right off the bone. 1/2 slab of ribs were more than enough for a meal. The rum baked beans and the collard greens were my personal favorite sides. This review is for delivery ordered via their website and fulfilled by DoorDash…read more In a word: underwhelming. Quarter Chicken: fine, I guess. Tender but lacking in flavor. If there was a rub, it was subtle to the point of being almost untasteable. Quarter rack of Ribs: poor. Meaty, but far too tough, definitely not fall off the bone. Again lacking in flavor, and burnt in spots. Side of Mac n Cheese: easily the start of the show. Very flavorful, baked and not swimming in cheese sauce, possible notes of ritz crackers detected. I'd have eaten a main course sized portion, and imagine it could mix well with pulled pork or chopped brisket, should Matt's ever consider expanding their repertoire of meats. Side of potato salad: also very solid. Simple but nicely flavored, just creamy enough. Side of collards: fine but unremarkable. Bbq sauce: decent-ish, more tangy than sweet. Very thick. Packaging : Matt's really could improve here. The ribs and chicken, piled together between two slices of white bread, was wrapped in white paper which was in turn stuffed into a paper bag with the containers of sides. This was messy- yes, bbq is by nature a messy undertaking, but a clamshell container would've made the whole fiasco a lot easier to deal with. A fork and spoon were included, no knife... and no napkins. Really? For a paper wrapped oversauced pile of meat... not even a single napkin? I honestly would've been fine paying an extra buck or so for some better packaging and, IDK, maybe a wetnap. Overall, this bbq lover was unimpressed. Perhaps the rave reviews made my expectations too high. I've honestly had better bbq at multiple places in my relative bbq desert hometown of Boston. I was hoping for a real treat during my business trip to Atlanta; instead, I'm yearning for the joint near my suburban New England home...

What initially brought me in was Atlanta Burger Week, and I ordered their featured burger to take advantage of the special. While the burger was good, the real star of the meal was the smoked barbecue fried rice with brisket. It was absolutely fantastic. The brisket was incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. The fried rice itself was packed with flavor and had such a unique, smoky taste that perfectly complemented the barbecue. It is not often that a side dish completely steals the show, but this one certainly did. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food arrived promptly, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. It is always exciting to discover a restaurant that delivers something a little different, and Sweet Auburn BBQ does exactly that by blending flavors and cuisines in a way that feels both creative and comforting. I left full, impressed, and honestly a little disappointed in myself for waiting so long to visit. This definitely will not be my last trip, and I already know the smoked barbecue fried rice with brisket will be ordered again.

The standouts for me were the mac and cheese, baby back ribs, and brisket. I also ordered the fried rice, and it honestly tasted just like hibachi-style fried rice, so good! The only item that fell a little flat for me was the wings. That said, both my sister and my spouse really enjoyed them, so it may have just come down to personal preference. The service was a little slow, and it took a while before we were able to place our orders, but our server was pleasant and friendly throughout the meal. Overall, I was very impressed.
