Alfredo with broccoli and garlic bread!
Alyssa L.

Me and my friends absolutely love this place, the food was so good and I still had leftovers to take home. We ordered at the little tablets and then around 15-20 minutes later we got our food. Cute little place with a variety of options.

Side Alfredo pasta and garlic bread

Omg this was my first time here and I've been on campus for over two years and have been wanting to go and finally went and wow I'm so glad I did!! It's so cute and cozy on the inside and the service was so friendly!! I got the side Alfredo and garlic bread because I'm on a budget and it was incredibly affordable and it's a pretty big portion too. They were both so flavorful and I'll definitely be back to try the other options on the menu!!

I'm not a fan of atlanta and tend to stay away from the city due to traffic, but I will make the drive to come back for their bread bowls. The bread bowls have cheese melted in them that adds flavor to the soup you order. Their bread bowls were even soft enough to enjoy after you were done with the soup. I also ordered the Tomato basil pasta and for $8 dollars I had a meal for lunch and enough to save for dinner. Not only that, the flavors were delicious. They don't skimp on the chicken neither, I had nice large chunks of chicken mix with the pasta. The owner was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, since he was the only one there it did take about 20 minutes to get our food but it was worth it and honestly we ordered a lot. If you don't mind old buildings and walking down some semi sketch roads do yourself a favor and check them out.

Why, hello cute little place I somehow have been walking by for years now without walking in. Why haven't I walked into you before? Gosh, I'm glad I did today. You're small but charming. I like your window bar seating in front where you can people watch the folks on Broad. But I especially like your stairs up to the cute little loft with a similar bar setting that lets you look out over the deli counter and fellow patrons. That's where we sat today. (psst! there are other little tables up here too.) I have a feeling you're more of a take-away sort of place based on space alone, but at lunchtime on a weekday, you were still fine and we weren't over-crowded. Your food is fresh and scrumptious. I chose your lunch trio special which was a cup of soup, a half a sandwich, and a choice of a pasta and Caesar salad all for only $9. (There's the lunch duo option of two of the choices for only $7 as well.) Wow! What a deal! And SO much food. I chose your French dip, tomato basil soup and Caesar salad. My friend had your roast beef on a croissant, French onion soup, and Caesar salad. Heck, yes, we sampled each other's food and everything you have here is so very good. Well done, little BrickStone Cafe. If you're downtown for work, play or school, definitely stop in and give them a try. Like I mentioned, I've walked by so many times, mainly because it's easy to miss. Just keep an eye out for the big "Majestic Shoe Repairing" sign (that's hard to miss!) and BrickStone will be right there underneath it. With a variety of salads, pasta salads, pastas, soups, sandwiches hot and cold --even bread bowls for your soup! -- I'll definitely be back to try out so many other offerings.

No complaints here! I really enjoyed my meal. I honestly believe the bread alone could get a separate (5 star) review. It was that good. There were plenty of options on the menu, so selecting something good was not a problem. The sauce was the right consistency and it stuck to the noodle. It wasn't that watery mess that splashed everywhere. Also, there was a good amount of chicken. They weren't stingy with it! The seasoning wasn't bad although I do enjoy a more robust profile than what was present at this particular dish. There was a little bit of a wait for the food, but I didn't see that as a problem. Considering the sandwiches are made to order, it wouldn't do well to have the food sitting under a heat lamp all morning waiting for the next customer. That's just...no. And fortunately, that's not the case here. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu. The prices are affordable with most items coming in under $10. Further, the portions are such that one meal should be sufficient although obviously, YMMV. I'll be back and, as was the case with Cafe Delight*, I'll be sure to bring my coworkers. *i work in an office with at least twenty people and we have all of downtime to choose from as far as meals AND I'm a student at GSU. So yeah, a recommendation carries a little weight.

I read the reviews and still gave this place a try and it was DISGUSTING! Idk if it was the sauce , cheese or a combination of both but I'm extremely disappointed. Luckily it was only $8 because it went straight into the trash.

I ordered a tomato bread bowl. It was so tasty and cheesy. They serve extremely good and hygienic food. They serve amazing pasta too. Loved their ambience too.

Revisited again today. Give it another 5 stars. Luna was a great help in letting me decide on a sandwich. I chose the vignette balsamic chicken sandwich. 3 minutes later there was my food. It was a very large good sized sandwich. filled me up pretty easy. And it tasted amazing! The price. The spot. The food. The time. It's a perfect spot for lunch in between classes. Highly recommend it. Music is very pleasant as well.

This place is almost easy to miss and what a shame that would be! Brickstone Cafe is affordable and delicious! And there is so much food. The people who work there are sweet, and the food came out relatively quick. One thing was that some of the turkey melt we got was very cold-- how does that happen because the cheese was melted on top and the bread was warm? The parts that weren't were absolutely delicious but definitely a star off because that was an unpleasant surprise. However, we did go on a relatively unbusy time period (some sort of student break), so it's possible it was a one time issue? Otherwise, place was both affordable, generous, and delicious.

Best food on Broad street. Reasonably priced as well. The staff is very nice and you will receive your food in a timely manner. The food is all prepared when you order it. The French dip is a staple sandwich for this restaurant. All of their pasta is good; my favorite being the chicken Alfredo. If you are looking for good food and good service this is the place to go in between classes or for lunch.

Chicken alfredo and garlic bread!

Food was very homemade and delicious. The wait was not bad at all, it was quit. It has a nice atmosphere and I really like the seating arrangements. Customer service was really nice. The portions of the food were big for a nice price. Convenient after class lunch!

Pretty good pasta! A little hole in the wall that is decent for lunch. Service was pretty fast but the atmosphere was empty.

She also clued us into the fact that you can get all of their entree pastas in appetizer size! This means we were able to try more pastas as well as enjoy an app and dessert. We ordered a bottle of Nero D'Avola, which was smooth and delicious. We got the meatballs as our appetizer, which were super tender and full of flavor. We split the rigatoni alla vodka, fettucine ai funghi, and tagliatelle bolognese. All were perfection. I loved the creaminess of the alla vodka, which had a kick of spice from the chili oil. I loved the herbiness and freshness of both the ai funghi with its sage and the bolognese with its rosemary. The tiramisu was the only dish that was just ok. I would much rather have espresso drenched ladyfingers than coffee liquor. But it was still good so I cannot complain. The waitress also surprised us with prosecco with a lemon rind twist to celebrate the fact that we had just closed on our first ever home. All in all - it was a perfect evening.

We did arrive here a bit early for our reservation but were seated right next to the open kitchen, so it felt quite crowded and cramped. It's a very, very small restaurant and it was freezing where we sat because we were under the vents. Our server, Mary Catherine, was a treat and she took good care of us. She took our drink orders, though I didn't drink tonight. For appetizers, we started with the calamari and stuffed clams. They also offered complementary bread and olive oil basket that was served warm, yum! Our food orders came out pretty fast actually. The calamari was not your typical fried calamari - it was delicious and loved the mix of raw onions in it for that fresh bite. I'm not a fan of clams so I didn't try this, but heard it was just breading and can't really taste the clam taste. For my entree, I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs. I had been dreaming about this since making the reservations and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was wonderful. I did think the meatballs were a tad too salty for my taste and I'm glad I opted out of the freshly grated parm because I feel like that would have made everything saltier. After our meal, they brought out free dessert for the birthday celebrants. Nothing but raves were said after our dinner here and we're definitely looking forward to coming back here again.

We were seated in the back which is still festive but brighter and less cozy. Like many mentioned, the waitstaff wasn't interested in making the experience memorable and wanted you in and out as fast as possible. The portion size of their $18 olive and pesto appetizer was appalling. Six olives (yes, six!), four slivers of cheese, three artichoke hearts, and a ramekin of delicious pesto. This feels like a tourist trap in a quaint neighborhood. We both got pasta entrees and they were good, but expensive considering no meat was included. The drinks were festive and actually felt like a good pour considering how expensive they are. 2 stars for that. We ended with the crème brûlée which was somehow over cooked and not creamy. I'm sure the owner will be aggressive about this honest review. To be fair, my sister loved the experience but she's hardly traveled and is delighted by mediocre things sometimes. I really wanted to love this place because we just moved to the area and I wanted to have this be our new cozy date night place. It won't be. If you want to spend $100 per person for mediocre food and holiday photos, this is your place.

Free small parking lot in front. Free extra parking across the street. The total was about $150 for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 drinks, and a dessert. Pros The quiet, intimate, and classy atmosphere was exactly what I needed for my family. When we first arrived, our table was not ready and we had to wait outside. However we were given continuous updates on when the table would be ready, they apologized, and they were very understanding. Considering we were a large party in an intimate space, we understood and only waited about 20 minutes before the table was ready. You could tell the food was fresh, the orders came fast, and the service was amazing. The fresh in house pasta took everything to the next level. It was the perfect night out. Cons The establishment is intimate so I do not think it would ideal for extra large parties. I had a party of 8 at 8PM but I dont know if they could have accomodated us if it was any earlier during prime dinner time. I wish they had a better parking situation but its not bad and its free. I randomly decided that I wanted Italian so we decided to check them out for the first time. Mezza Luna is located in a very small plaza with a tight parking lot. I'm so glad that I read the reviews in advance about parking, but I still wasn't prepared for what we saw. Surprisingly, there were 2 or 3 open spots when we visited around 7pm. We had reservations and were quickly seated after being greeted. The restaurant itself was quite intimate, offering only a few tables that were laid out in a manner that had us all quite close. But it worked! Since we had our son with us, they already had a high chair ready for us but he slept through the entire dinner, which also shows how peaceful it actually was in there. I started with a glass of chianti and it paired perfectly with the complimentary starter bread. That focaccia was so fresh! The crust had a great crunch but it was still soft and fluffy inside. We went with the meatball appetizer special which included 4-5 meatballs covered in marinara, fresh tomatoes and burrata. They were delicious, although the tomatoes being cold was a bit of a surprise. For dinner, I went for the chicken piccata and my partner opted for the chicken marsala. Both were great and packed with flavor. Such an unassuming place with tons of flavor waiting inside - perfect for date night or just a nice Italian dinner!

This place is hard to miss as it's right on Roswell Rd. There is complimentary valet parking available, but there's also free parking at a deck just a few steps away from the restaurant entrance. We were greeted by the hostess as soon as we walked in and the restaurant was already very busy for a Saturday 6 pm dinner. Our server was fine, and the food was decent. I opted for the blackberry fiz mocktail, which was super sweet at first, but with a good mix, it was super refreshing. For starters, we shared the eggplant balls (a must get here!) and the bread service. The eggplant balls were definitely shareable and were probably our favorite thing we ate. The bread service you could probably skip - we wish it was served with vinegar instead of just oil and an olive tapenade. For entrees, I ordered one of the dinner specials, grilled branzino served with broccolini and potatoes. My husband ordered the ravioli. I really enjoyed the branzino, it was tender and the skin was cooked crispy. I loved that the broccolini was charred enough, but wish the potatoes were cooked a bit more. The capers added the needed saltiness to the dish, though I wish this was served with lemon or something to balance out the flavors. My husband enjoyed his ravioli but found it too heavy with the cream sauce. We thought this was a decent place for dinner, but nothing really stood out besides the eggplant balls.

Across the table (thanks to the half portion option), we tried at least 8 items on the menu! Each one was more special then the next. Our incredible server Kagen (sp?) walked us through each section of the menu absolutely perfectly. As a result we ended up ordering some of his favs from across the menu. In my photos you can see what we ordered, but my recommendation is to simply ask your server what they like and you'll undoubtably get something stellar. However the server we had tonight was one of the worst experiences I've had especially for a place that is trying to sell an upscale dining environment he greeted the table by saying (after we asked how he was doing) "I'm doing f-ing horrible I'm tired and feel like sh*t we had such a busy night last night" he was not very knowledgeable about menu or drinks and his overall appearance gave very much unhygienic he also forgot to put in our food order so we waited double the time and said that since we already had appetizers and the other table did not have any food that we could wait to order food, also just assumed how someone in my group wanted there steak cooked so had to wait for that to be redone, he was all over the place and did not check in on us very often we needed things like refills or salt pepper etc. and went without because bad service I don't think he should have been working he obviously did not want to be there he also failed to mention that the kitchen was closing so we did not get to try the desserts. There were a couple of other things but don't want a 5 page review I cannot remember his name but a taller white guy with a messy bun and tired eyes. We still left a tip because that's what you do when you go out but if he treated his other tables like he did us I wouldn't be surprised if we were the only ones that tipped. I suggest not going on a busy night to get good service I guess. My group was 4 ppl 2 couples trying to enjoy a nice double date without the craziness of v-day next time we will celebrate days before. Will for sure be going back and hope you give them a try but if that's how the waiter greets himself please go ahead and ask for a different server!!!!
