We have been loyal customers to Firestone Brewery for almost years. We prefer the Buellton location but since I work in Paso Robles, sometimes it's convenient to go to this one. However the last visited have been awful. Yesterday, I was in line to order a beer and was ignored by four employees. After waiting for a couple more minutes, I asked if anybody was going to take my order and one lady rudely answered " We will be with you soon". Prior to this visit the service was the same. I'm not sure if we have bad luck and we get servers that are not happy doing their job. Management needs to do table touching or ensure that whoever is working is willing to serve every guest in a timely manner. read more

This is one of those places I've passed a million times, and in the past few years, at least yearly on my annual drive up to Monterey. Always wanted to try it because their menu looked great and it was one of the first "micro brewery" gastro pubs in SoCal. There have been some changes including the sale to a bigger corporation. The ambiance is appropriately industrial and large. For a 3PM mid week, it was appropriately empty but service was still great. They have an order at the counter and they will deliver system, but you can also sit at a table and scan the QR code and order that way. It was a very interesting ordering system. . . Literally the same food item would be listed multiple times with different prices with no real explanation for the price differences. So, go find the cheapest version of what you are looking for and order it! I went with the short rib tacos. As multiple other reviews noted, the tacos are tasty, but are very very tiny. Imagine street tacos. . . Now. . .make them half the size? Take away the second tortilla, and turn it into a tasty quesadilla with meat! There you go! Super tasty! But you might twice as much as you were expecting. Beer selection is appropriately expansive for a brewery and came with both the drink here and take to go options. Paso Robles is the location of their main brewery. We sat outside as we had a dog with us. It was cold, but they turned on the heat lamps for us. The main downside of sitting outside was that they don't really check up on you. So make sure you have everything you need when they bring out the food to you. We ordered through our phones and they bought out the food to us. I ordered the favorite- The Lion's Fish 'N' Chips. I enjoyed the fish. The batter was thin and crispy. I didn't like their version of the tarter sauce. The fries were plentiful. Even though I don't really drink beer, I enjoyed the cinnamon dolce nitro stout. read more

Came to the central coast for my bday but decided to make the 30 min drive to this brewery for some drinks and appetizers. Honestly very cool place I wish I was able to do the tour and check out the shop but was able to buy some merchandise. The service was good as they just have a QR code to order from which makes it really really easy though staff will come around check on you as well which is very much appreciated. We tried the beer flights as well as the Firestone seltzers which were all good. We ordered the pretzel with the beer cheese that tasted amazing as well as Garlic Lion fries. This place had helpful staff and was dog friendly. I hope to come back and try the actual food! read more

I don't know where the 2 star reviewer came from that said everything is clearly "frozen food". We got the tuna tacos, the pretzel, tinga tacos, comfort Mac & cheese, fish & chips, & tri-tip sando. I've been to Paso Robles a handful of times and each time getting in here was impossible because it's so popular. Happy to say I've finally visited! Since it was a cold rainy day, seating was limited to inside only. We sat at a table near the bar and ordered from a QR code on the table. Super convenient and everything we ordered came out right away. We got a flight, pretzel, and lobster roll. I really enjoyed all the beers, the hazy being my favorite. The pretzel was a good sharing size and came with cheese and a spicy mustard. I didn't care for the spicy mustard, but the cheese was delightful. Pretzel wasn't overly salted either. The lobster roll was a miss for me. It was super spicy (I think it's sliced habanero in there) and the lobster serving wasn't very generous at all. My husband who loves spicy food even thought this was over the top. Overall, I think this is a good spot and lots to offer food/beer wise. I'd go back if there wasn't a wait. read more

My wife and I came here after a wine tasting experience, and having already had toured their brewery before, we roughly knew what to expect. Between us both, we tried about 12 different beers via flight and regular glasses, and the food was delicious! The service was fairly quick at first but slowed as the place got busier, which is understandable. Everything was a bit pricey, which is the only drawback, but we enjoyed every moment of our visit. What a cool place to visit and eat. I stopped in on my way to Pismo and got the fish and chips. They do things weird here as you have to place your order on your phone or at the bar. Easy enough but service just sucks. I ordered a 2nd water since I couldn't get a refill but never ended up getting my water. The fish and chips were decent. We started off with drinks; I had the We Love LA & Cal Poly Gold; both clean, refreshing, crisp, & the gold nutty. The chicken shnitzle is some of the best; tender chicken pieces with a crispy thin badder & tender interior. It came with a wonderful arugula salad with a tangy lemon aioli; the best. My mother loved her brewer's pizza & my aunt, & uncle loved mushroom & avacato burger & fries.. I bought a one of their shirts. So, for wonderful food & brews in a casual atmosphere with friendly service at reasonable prices, Firestone Walker cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys. read more

This place made for a fantastic date night! All in all we spent about 4 hours here. We started off our date night with the brewery tour. I made the reservations online so we were guaranteed a spot. Tickets were $11 a person +taxes and fees. Our tour guide Chelsea was super friendly, knowledgeable, and upbeat making the tour very informational and fun. We were given safety glasses to wear and a set of headphones with volume control so that we could hear our tour guide over the sound of the machinery in use throughout the tour. Throughout the tour we were given 2 snifter glasses of beer to try as we roamed throughout the massive tanks that are used in the brewing process. When we were taken back to the tasting room, we were each given a cute Firestone-Walker snifter glass as a gift, a coupon code to buy more merchandise, and we also got to choose 3 more beers of our choice to try out. I think it was an awesome deal at $11 a ticket. After our tour we decided to head across the street the The Taproom restaurant to grab some appetizers and our favorite blood orange beer. Lucky for us they were celebrating their 26th anniversary so they had live music playing on the patio and raffles going all day. The patio seating was phenomenal. They had their heaters on so it was great to be able to take off our jackets and take in the ambience and the music while sipping on some Cali Squeeze Blood Orange. For appetizers we got the shrimp and the propagator pretzel. The pretzel was delicious. I do wish the mustard and cheese sauce that came with it were warm, but I did end up dipping my pretzel in the butter sauce the shrimp came in and omgggggg that was the most delicious butter I've ever had. I personally do not like seafood in any form, but whatever heavenly butter sauce that shrimp was sitting in made me want to slam all 5 of those shrimp myself. Of course the Cali Squeeze Blood Orange did not disappoint, especially since we were getting it straight from the source. 5 stars and highly highly recommend you come check out the Taproom and grab a tour from Chelsea and the visitor's center! read more

Staff is quick, friendly, and helpful. And the food is delicious. But the main reason for stopping is the excellent beer. There is enough space outside in the street to park. Inside, the place is big and they have indoor and outdoor seating. Ordered food and drinks. Food was okay, I asked for salad with no onions and it came with onions. Flavor wasn't as great, it definitely lacked ingredients. Beer was whatever as well. You basically order once you get there, but other than that there is really not much interactions with servers.
