Extremely disappointed. Arrived 15 minutes before closing and were refused to order a tritip sandwich. They however offered to allow us to order a tritip salad or tritip tacos. The food preparers proceeded to cut tritip within our view, yet refused to allow us to order a tritip sandwich. Wondering if management is in support of this practice. If so, please post on your website, "tritip sandwiches are unavailable 15 minutes before closing," to prevent customers from this similar disappointment. Also the restaurant condition posted an "A+" rating on the entry glass doors that were smudged looking highly unsanitary. The floor was not clean and the restrooms were truck-stop disgusting. Finally made it to Firestone Grill!! Heard for a long time that this place was good, but never got a chance to drop by until a couple of months ago. Dropped by with several friends of mine. Place was crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Folks were laughing, talking, watching the games on tv, and having a great time overall. You order at the counter, then wait for your food to be ready. My order took less than 10 minutes. Pretty impressive considering how busy they were that afternoon. I ordered the Tri-Tip Sandwich and Garlic bread. The garlic bread was meh.... The Tri-Tip sandwich on the other hand was fantastic!!! 5 stars for this sandwich!! Also tried their Fries and Onion Rings. My friends had ordered them, and both the fries and onion rings came in separate baskets. Huge portions that the 4 of us were able to share. Tasted good too. Was able to place our orders and still plenty of seats to choose. I ordered a half Cobb salad with steak. The steak had a smoky flavor from the grill, which is a nice deviation from just the usual chicken. Also, plenty of bacon and blue cheese which were great. For a half order, this salad was packing! Some of the gentlemen that hand out the orders have poor customer service skills the ribs can use more seasoning and often times they are very tough every now and then you may get a good order the burgers are good but the meat is very dry not juicy at all the Tri Tip is under seasoned and doesn't really have a good flavor overall there's nothing memorable about this place. It's good if you want to grab a drink with friends or watch sports but if you're coming strictly for the food, I'm sure you can find somewhere else. read more

We stopped here on our way up to Northern California from LA. We've previously tried the location in SLO and wanted to try this one as well. We're glad we chose this as our lunch stop. The line was much shorter than what we've seen at the other location and the food came out quickly. We tried the pig sandwich and the Tri-tip sandwich with a basket of fries. The meat was piled high on the sandwiches and had great flavor with or without the bbq sauce. The basket of fries was huge, way too much for our little family of 3. This barbecue place was amazing! We were hungry, pulled up and saw the line outside the door and almost decided to leave, but then we thought... If there's a Line outside the door, it must be good. And it was! The tri-tip sandwich was as big as my head, piled high with juicy, melt in your mouth meat. My husband got the seven ribs and he could only eat three of them. They were giant and meaty! Visited for a date night before our movie started! Loved the casual atmosphere and loud sports bar feel to this restaurant. Shared a tri tip sandwich, side salad, and basket of fries with my husband.
