Elijah was our fantastic server today and he made our lunch experience Stellar! He really went above & beyond. We shared the Potato pearls with cilantro aoli. What yummy bites. Mashed potato balls deep fried to golden, creamy & crunchy with a kick. We all ordered the Pistachio Crusted Salmon. Chef's Kiss! On each table you have Pink salt & cracked pepper with cloth napkins. Aside from the delicious food and great service These are all touches that make this one of my favorite restaurants in Bakersfield.

Centro Cali is in a great spot. We had an event downtown, during the week and knew this was where we wanted to eat. We all had something different that we wanted and the menu kept everyone happy. We ordered a pizza, burger, pasta and chicken sandwich. It all tasted amazing and everyone got exactly what they wanted. CCB has a knack for putting together just the right flavors. The triple b burger with a blueberry compote was just amazing. The service was a little slow getting to us. It wasn't a very busy night but it may have been too many people for the amount of staff. I'm not sure, but there was too much time between us being seated and getting our drinks and taking our order. The food definitely made up for it, but I hope there is a better rhythm developed for better service. There was a lot going on in the back room. I recently found out that CCB has an event space as well as a nice patio. That night there was a fun music bingo happening. I hope to check that out on another night.

The restaurant is nice and spacious. Great for families. There's a patio area where you can also eat and the kids can play cornhole. The food was absolutely delicious. I came with my entire family so we ordered a lot. The price of the food wasn't that bad either. Not pictured is the pepperoni pizza we ordered because the kids demolished it. The service was good. Our servers were very nice and we were greeted when we walked in. Although, it would've been more helpful to be checked on more often. We waited quite a bit of time to try to get another table added to our party and to refill our waters as we waited for our food. It's also VERY cold in there. I would recommend bringing a sweater for yourself and your kiddos. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

This was my first time trying out Centro Cali Brewing and it started off well. The vibe was chill and relaxed with live music playing. The service was friendly and welcoming. The food was pretty good for the most part the wings sauce could be better. So the reason the 2 start review was due to biting into what appeared to be a piece of a black grill stone that was in a burger that we ordered. Luckily I avoided any damage to my tooth but that kind killed my first experience here. Hopefully this place takes better precautions before serving their customers.

Happy hour from 4-6. Centro has drink and food specials that are not only delicious but budget-friendly. I had the croquettes and spicy potato pearls. Croquettes were crispy on the outside with a soft, pillowy center. The spicy potato pearls were a delight to eat. When you bite into it, a burst of flavor comes out. I paired these delicate bites with a Moscow mule. The bartender makes a great one here. Service, atmosphere, and food quality is a great addition to the downtown scene Indeed.

I was downtown and needed some lunch. Pub food sounded good, but I'm not really a drinker. That's when I thought of Central Cali brewing. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, and while that beer list looked amazing, I passed. The place is very comfortable. And the service is prompt and courteous. There are lots of TVs to follow just about any sports. My sandwich came on a bun with cabbage and cucumber. Chicken breast was tender and had just the right amount of spice. They also make these homemade French fries that are delicious. If you're downtown, hungry, and you especially like beer, you gotta give Centro Cali brewing a visit.

Updated review We came on a Friday night and had no wait around 5:30. Our server was great, super attentive and helpful and warm. We made it in time for happy hour and ordered beers and 1 pizza that was on the happy hour menu. We liked both pizzas - the arugula and the Cali. The Cali was a little undercooked in the center and the cheese with sausage and honey was an interesting combo. I liked it slightly less than the prosciutto arugula. We will be back during happy hour to get that good deal!

This place is on my new favorite list! Visited on a Sunday afternoon and was not disappointed. The food, service and in house brews were amazing. The manager was friendly as his wait staff, were attentive and helped with providing recommendations.

We went to Centro Cali Brewing and had so much fun. It was a Friday night 3/6/26 and the place was busy, but we were able to be seated pretty quick! The menu is awesome! We put in our drink orders and listened to the live DJ. This place is huge and very nice on the inside, I wasn't able to see the patio or the event space, but I've seen clips on Instagram and the place looks so cool also that the drinks and food is scratch made makes me want to try it all! The drinks were served and very good! We placed our food order and got the spicy potato balls, Cali burrata, Spinach Artichokes Pizza, and the Cali Pizza. OMG everything was soooo good! The spicy potato balls were surprisingly spicy to my husband but the sauce balanced it out and the combo was worth fighting the rest of the table over. The bathrooms were very nice and clean as well - it's a room with stalls and I didn't have to wait. The parking we got was street parking very near the front door - not sure if there was a lot or more available parking because it was dark when we got there, but we will be back FOR SURE to update! I need to try the creamy pesto and artichokes pasta.

Well 2 days in a row for Centro Cali!!!! Went to a Yelp Event last night that was absolutely awesome. The owner was talking about one of his favorite pizzas so we had to go give it a try. The Capicola Fennel Pizza is now one of my favorite all time pizzas. The crust is absolutely the best of Bakersfield. The flavors of the capicola and the likeness of the fennel worked perfectly together. The clam chowder was good. Cooked similar to a pot pie was good but a little cumbersome. It was loaded in clams but to me needed to be a little thicker. Don't get me wrong, great flavor just to watery for me. The wing lollipops were spot on. Maybe just a little more color on them. Great Job!!!

First time here, it was surprising to see this little place just tucked into some unassuming side streets, but when you step inside it is much bigger than you imagine! I love the ambiance, it was clean and upscale. There's a back patio as well as a whole side room so there's plenty of seating. The food here is FRESH. And you can taste and smell that immediately. The crust on the pizza, the pasta (made in house), the salad, all just the perfect balance. I absolutely loved the Prosciutto Arugula pizza, and the Lemon Drop was perfect! My fiancé had a mocktail Moscow mule and said it was delicious! Shoutout to Mia, she is an awesome server! She's truly so down to earth and friendly! Thanks so much!

Had a yelp event here, we got to hear the owner speak about his business, his crew, and the food. The establishment looks super great and so spacious, inside and out. So much to choose from. The lemon bar was my favorite dessert and the pizza that looks like it has apple sauce took first place. The pasta first place goes to the red, second to the pesto. Overall a great night, great conversation, and most importantly GREAT FOOD!!!

I guess because it's a sports bar restaurant, and it's in Bakersfield. I got the shock of my life. It turned out, this was the best barbecue food I ever had. Not only that, but it's very affordable. I would say a bargain. I didn't have to spend 100+ dollars for 2 persons, like a lot of so called high quality barbecue restaurants. The briskets and ribs were amazing. Delicious, flavorful, and melts in your mouth. Sides were also delicious. The service was good too. You just go up and get your order. It took a little time, but the staff is helpful and friendly. I'll be back here again, the next time I'm in Bakersfield. Maybe I'll visit the Buck Owen's museum. Bakersfield is truly the Texas of California, although I've only been to El Paso, Texas.

I really enjoy my ribs they were tender and in my opinion they didn't need the sauce. I enjoyed how spacious the place is and the giants fan they have keep the place cool during this hot weather. Was just passing by for a dinner meal, and I was very happy. If I could give one recommendation maybe smoke those ribs a bit more to be a bit more tender. Definitely will be back for that tri tip.

Nobody plans to spend an evening in Bakersfield. You pass through it on the way to somewhere else…read more-- Mammoth, the Sequoias, the long flat grind up the 99 to Sacramento -- and if you stop at all, it's for gas or a bathroom or because your BMW's brakes have decided, somewhere around the Grapevine, that they'd rather not. Thank you, Weatherford BMW of Berkeley, for the near-death experience and, inadvertently, for one of the best nights out I've had in years. Stranded and waiting on repairs, we checked into The Padre, the only hotel in Bakersfield that feels like someone with a subscription to Dwell had a hand in it, and set out walking through a downtown that time has treated with more kindness than reputation suggests. There's a Woolworth's luncheonette still hanging on. There are old brick facades and wide sidewalks and the particular quiet of a Central Valley evening when the heat finally breaks. And then, on 18th Street, there is Tiki-Ko, and suddenly you are no longer in Bakersfield at all. You are, instead, inside someone's magnificent obsession. Tiki-Ko is a proper tiki bar -- not a tiki-themed cocktail lounge, not a place that bought some bamboo at a craft store and called it atmosphere, but a genuine, committed, floor-to-ceiling shrine to mid-century Polynesian fantasy. The carvings are real. The lighting is correct -- which is to say, barely there. The mugs are serious. There are pufferfish lamps and carved totems and the whole glorious taxonomy of tiki ephemera, accented here and there with a skate-culture edge that keeps it from feeling like a museum. It's reverent without being precious. The drinks are the real thing. Mai Tais built with actual orgeat. Zombies that earn the name. The bartenders make them with the kind of care and enthusiasm that tells you this isn't a gig -- it's a calling. They want you to be here. They want to talk about rum. They want you to try the Painkiller. In a city that most Angelenos regard as a punch line, somebody built a world-class cocktail bar and filled it with joy, and the regulars clearly know it. You will not plan a trip to Bakersfield. But if you find yourself there -- by mechanical failure, by accident, by the peculiar mercy of a bad brake job -- walk downtown. Find the tiki bar. Order a second round. Stay longer than you intended. Bakersfield has been underestimated, and Tiki-Ko is the proof.

Haven't been in here for probably 15 years. It's changed- a bit. I love Tiki bars and I go to every…read moreTiki bar I can find. It's tiny- like a lot of tiki spots. Decor is nice. Little hidden gems. Lighting is dark with bits color and neon popping through. The Bar Top curves around the bar- there are two booths that seat 5-6 and two short tables next to them- one seats 4- the other will comfortably seat two. There are a few bench style seating areas at the front with some short coffee tables. Think- skater tiki bar. The drinks were good- small menu if you're not sure what you want or are new to tiki. Both sides of the menu are the same menu. There are some nice mocktail options as well- you don't see that often. The service for me is mixed- it wasn't busy- steady but not busy- 1/4 full. I ordered two drinks to start for our table- (no cocktail servers here/not unusual for a small Tiki bar) I asked for a soda water- the bartender looked at me without a word- popped open a can of soda water and walked away. When he walked back by, I asked for a glass of ice- he said nothing and I got an eye-roll huff. I almost left. I don't think providing a glass with ice to pour your canned room temp soda water in, is too wacky an idea to be perturbed by the request. The female who took the order was friendly, smiled and was professional. We got a third cocktail- the Mai Tai. The grumpy bartender was friendlier this time. So, that helped. Maybe he felt overwhelmed and I threw off his groove by asking for water- then a glass... either way- being annoyed wasn't cool. The music.... Wasn't Tiki- it threw off the "Tiki Vibe" and made it feel typical small local bar that serves only Tiki drinks with some Tiki decor. It didn't take you to the land of Tiki- disappointed. Drinks were good.
