I had seen this open a while back. So we decided to go in to check it out. Super cute place. Nice vibe great lighting, good music was playing we were able to talk. Impressed with the service and bartender. We got to order a little food with our drinks. Great flavors, we ordered pork belly tacos, and chicken tacos, and a pesto sandwhich with fries. We were so please with music, food, and drinks and the service we plan on returning again. We enjoyed the couch areas then moved to a table for our meal. Such a great experience. Server/bartender was great. Took good care of us and was attentive without being pesky. The crowd was very light, but it was a Thursday night. Drinks were good and the beer was cold. It is a dark dive type of place. Love joints like this. Biggest drawbacks were no AC (in August in Bakersfield) and the only happy hour food was street hot dogs. If there is only a single choice it needs to knock it out of the park. It didn't. I would go back, when it is less hot, and enjoy a low key night out. Always looking for a happy hour spot to add to the rotation and have another one here. We were seated right away and the servers were friendly and attentive. Drinks came quickly after ordering. We had cocktails all of them were well made and balanced in flavor. My favorite was the last call. Not sure exactly what type of bar they are trying to be, speakeasy-ish or dive-y. We went there for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. It's 3 days before Valentine's Day, hearts everywhere! The place is moody, with pink textured wallpaper, velvet chairs, definitely a cool place. The waitress recommended The Happily Ever After cocktail. It was extremely well balanced, sweet, with tinge of sour, and the vodka is very well concealed but it will hit you! The big square ice cube kept my drink nice and cold the entire time. When you walk in No Vacancy it's dark and modern not dive-y or run down. It feels elegant and expensive. Then you see the menu with some great dishes, innovative drinks and very reasonable prices. You're in the right place. THE FOOD: we got the No Vacancy Board which is a sampler of the hits of the menu. It was a good size portion of pretzel bites with beer cheese, 2 angus cheeseburger sliders, garlic cheese fries and crispy Brussels sprouts. Pretzel bites were fluffy and the beer cheese had a good flavor a little too salty for me but next time ( and trust me there will be a next time!) I'll order the salt on the side. Garlic cheese fries were crispy, mildly garlicky and dusted with Parmesan cheese, a nice balance. Angus cheeseburger sliders had grilled onions house made sauce and house made pickle chip on brioche bun. The package was very delicious the pickle chip was sweet, sour and salty all at the same time and the sauce gives just the right combo of mayo mustardy spicy creamy goodness to each bite. With that brioche bun and lightly grilled onions that were still a little crisp and not mushy...wow. Crispy Brussels sprouts were tossed with a sweet glaze and thick bacon pieces. Truly delicious. We also had an order of pork belly bites. Fried pork belly tossed in the same sweet glaze as the Brussels sprouts then topped with sesame seeds and a spicy mustard dipping sauce. The food was good and the portions were good. Don't say bar food but more pub fare definitely worth the trip. Don't miss the drinks too. My wife had the espressotini flight three different flavor profiles all were different and she had one favorite the maple pecan. The caramel one was good but a little sweet for us. Definitely try the drinks off the menu. House curated drink list was interesting and fun. Also guys they have tap beer and a huge selection of whisky tequila etc. The best of both worlds. The service was friendly and attentive. They actually asked us if we wanted water which may sound basic but a lot of bar/pubs don't always give you water. The staff looked after us and checked in frequently. Refilled water and brought whatever else we asked for. Several members of the management checked in and asked for our opinion on the food and drinks. It just felt good. The music is a mix of different genres and time periods so no annoying same song type over and over. Highly recommend you check this spot out. Late night hang out with kitchen open late. read more

Came in on a Saturday night they were football game so there was a good amount of people, but they were able to see us immediately. Didn't realize they had food so we were only here for drinks. Licking around it looks like they have a good sampler appetizer platter with sliders. They had specials for drinks because of the game. Cute speakeasy vibe. Hope they last! read more

Me and my girlfriends went for Cinco de Mayo and had a great time! We loved the ambiance. It was such a cool, chill vibe. They had specials on drinks and food, plus a DJ playing music all night. The interactions with staff felt super forced, and the drinks were SUPER watered down. It took a while for them to get to us too, even though it was pretty slow in there. The vibe could be slightly better, again it all just felt unnatural. It's like they're trying to be The Botanist but they don't have the budget for it.
