A little view of the apple pecan chicken salad and cheese dip with pita.
    Sadia H.

My coworkers and I did not have a whole lot of time so we were happy to see it was nearly empty at noon. High ceilings and woodsy, the interior is rustic and charming. There were people seated at the bar. We opted for a booth. Service was swift. There was a lunch menu available. I was torn between fried calamari and crab cakes and the server went back to the kitchen and double-checked whether the calamari was pieces or with tentacles like I preferred. From his discovery, I went with the crab cakes that were made in-house and they were incredibly good. My friend's apple pecan grilled chicken salad was good too. My other friend said the cheese dip was ok. Overall, we were very happy with everything and will be back.

Happy to see Boot Leggers open on the East Side! The space is large quite large, with just the bar section open for the time being (there are still plenty of tables and booths available for large parties & families). There are lots of screens for you sports lovers and the music plays at a good volume, so you don't have to raise your voice while having a conversation. If you go on a Wednesday, it's Happy Hour ALL DAY so that's cool too ~ It only took a few minutes for our group to be seated, and the booth we got was pretty spacious for 4 adults and 3 children. Our server noticed we hadn't received menus right away so he he made sure we got those + some silverware ASAP and then took our drink orders. There wasn't much of a wait for our drinks, and while the food took a bit of time to come out, it was to be expected with the amount of customers there. We ordered the following: TRI-TIP BLTA + POTATO WEDGES TRI-TIP CHEESY MELT + TOTS CHIMMICHURRI STEAK BITES + SIDE OF VEGGIES KIDS MINI CHEESEBURGERS + MAC N CHEESE MOLTEN LAVA CAKE Some of our family also had a burger, micheladas and some beer on tap. I just don't remember what the exact items were called! Anyway, everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and the overall experience at the restaurant. The meat was moist and the variety of ingredients in each dish was nice. I would have liked a little more chimmichurri on my steak bites, but other than that it was solid. The kids really loved their molten lava cake! Alcohol was a steal taking the size of the mugs into account. We loved it here and are down to come back more often! We didn't catch the name of our server but he killed it so shout out to him (the one with short curly hair + tattoos). He was very attentive, kind and quick. Overall, we had a fire time and will return soon!

Bootleggers on Auburn is a solid win for east Bakersfield! Clean, modern pub feel with great craft beers on tap and juicy burgers. The grilled chicken with hummus was fantastic. Service friendly and attentive most of the time. Minor hiccups like they were out of some items here and there since they're still ramping up, but nothing deal-breaking. Generous portions, and reasonable prices. East side finally has a go-to spot like this--we'll be back soon! Thumbs up. "

I'm happy this place finally opened up. It's where La Mina used to be. You'll have to give grace to the staff since this place is still new and they're figuring things out. I do wish the garlic fries had about 1000% more garlic seasoning. My ringleader burger was fine and reminded me of a in n out burger. Unfortunately sodas are Pepsi here

We tried the northeast Bootleggers on Monday, February 23, 2026. It is obvious that they are still working on the interior. The bar area is the only section open so far, and it was LOUD! Our waiter was Jhonny. (I double checked the spelling with him.) We enjoyed calamari, fried chicken sliders, and short rib tacos. Everything was pretty good! I see great potential in this place!

Very friendly, he gave several recommendations, and was very patient as we reviewed the menus. He checked in regularly. Now the food... we had the bacon on bacon, ordered by the bacon lover, (my husband) and he gave it a 10/10. I enjoyed it too! We had the vodka pasta and shared it, and that was amazing, the pasta was served al dente and was perfect. The chicken was grilled perfectly and tender. We left room for dessert and ordered the carrot cake. I'm a carrot cake snob so I was already setting myself up for disappointment, It did not disappoint. Very moist, the cream cheese icing was light and tasty. Every other bite had a surprising crunch. 10/10 Drinks- I had the hibiscus muse. Very tasty and refreshing. The hubby had whistle pig old fashioned. Solid drink! He doesn't venture out much and was pleased with the entire experience. Would visit again! From him that's saying a lot! A great review for food is one thing but when you get great, tasty food and exceptional service, that's rare and deserves a review. Thank you centro cali brewing and Elijah!

Here on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy which was nice…read more Our party included 7 people and our waitress was on point with service. Here are the dishes we ordered; 1. Spicy Potato Pearls appetizer. This dish was really good and it consisted of 8 spicy potato pearls, perfect for sharing. I would describe as seasoned mashed potatoes, rolled into a ball shape and coated with a panko and deep fried and topped with finely grated Parmesan cheese. It's served with a side of cilantro aioli and a lemon wedge I would definitely order this again. 8/10 2. Breaded chicken over Garlic Fettuccine Alfredo. The pasta had a nice garlic flavor and a rich creamy white Alfredo sauce. Chicken was cooked to perfection and flavorful. One of my favorites 10/10 NOTE: all pastas are made in-house 3. Cali Lasagna : Wagyu beef bolognese, pomodoro sauce, Parmesan and basil oil. Lasagna was piping hot and very good. It had dollops of ricotta cheese on top. 9/10 4. Fried Lasagna: chef special. OMG!! This was my absolute favorite and hopefully becomes a regular menu option. Lasagna rolls that have been breaded and deep fried. 10/10 5. Minestrone soup: very flavorful and nice chunks of veggies. Served piping hot. 10/10 6. Four Cheeses & Figs Pizza: white sauce, mozzarella, provolone, goat cheese, blue cheese and fig compote and topped with arugula 10/10 7. Cali Pizza: San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, Italian sausage, salami and topped with hot honey & sliced Fresno chiles 9/10 (pizza was a bit greasy) NOTE: all pizza doughs are made in-house. 8. Fish & Chips (chef special): battered in a squid ink batter and fried to perfection. Served with French fries & tartar sauce. 9. Prosciutto Arugula Pizza: San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, apple slices and topped with a balsamic reduction 8/10 (a bit on the salty side) 10. Creamy Pesto & Artichokes Pasta: pesto sauce, penne pasta, artichokes, asparagus, arugula and Parmesan 10/10 11. Tiramisu: 10/10 Cocktails: 1. Cucumber Margarita nice cucumber taste not overly sweet 10/10 2. Espresso Martini: it was good but not outstanding. The foam should have been frother. 7/10 Overall food was fantastic and our waitress was on-point with our orders. Parking is free, however, it can be challenging during peak hours. The ambiance is very laidback and a chill vibe. They also have an outdoor patio if you prefer to dine outdoors. Restrooms were very clean and fully stocked.

At the last minute, I actually had to move my reservation by 30min, so I called the restaurant and they were very accommodating, which I appreciated. Being a Bakersfield native I definitely wanted to check this place out being that I had visited Chase Bank prior to the vault taking over. I was absolutely amazed by the decorating on the interior. They literally left no stone unturned. Every single corner of the restaurant is beautifully decorated. I do love the whole vault theme. It definitely just feels like you're stepping back in time. The food was fantastic. On a Friday and Saturday night, they offer a prime rib special. The plate itself ran about $52. But it was well worth it. The prime rib absolutely melted in your mouth. It was paired with a beautifully baked potato. It was also served with a side of horseradish sauce as well as Au'ju, We also tried out the brussels sprouts appetizer. They were absolutely amazing. Flavor was spot on. And I would definitely recommend it if you're just wanting to try something a little bit different. Our meal also came with a soup or salad. My wife opted for the Caesar salad, with house made croutons which she said was great tasting. I opted for the soup of the day, which was an Italian wedding soup. Again great tasting everything tasted fresh and was piping hot.

But that's to one of the biggest kids menus I've seen, I was able to talk my son into some real restaurant food and not fast food for lunch. It was not busy at all. The hostess was really friendly and so was our waiter. We were immediately sat and given waters. I went with the poke salad and it was so good! Very filling and a lot bigger than it seems in the photo. The amount of tuna was great, they definitely did not short me on my dish. My son got the kids cheese pizza and he was very impressed by the stringiness of the cheese. It also came with a decent amount of fries and fruit. He also loved the dragon fruit lemonade. The lighting was a bit dark but the music was great and my son enjoyed watching the Dodgers play on one screen and music videos on another. Definitely going back soon!

Every time I have visited during brunch hours they were not that busy, I noticed that towards lunch time it gets pretty busy, so if you're curious about this place then I think the best time is around 9am-1pm ish from my experience. I didn't know how to feel when they transitioned Vita Vegan out since I had absolutely loved Vita Vegan, but so far the change has been great. Our whole office recently came to have lunch and staff was super friendly. Our server was very pleasant and we had no wait time; however, we came during lunch rush so it took a little time to get our food which is fine since our whole office came out together as a team. I don't have a favorite yet, but I have not had a bad experience. Everything we have tried so far has been delicious and they give large portions so you can have your leftovers later. Restroom was clean which is always a plus and is a good sign of a clean restaurant. If you haven't stopped by yet, this is your sign to go check them out! The prices are really good and not expensive, food is delicious, staff is great and the restaurant is clean!
