Love this place! I don't come here enough, but occasionally I make my way out here. I highly recommend this place for breakfast/brunch. Every time I have visited during brunch hours they were not that busy, I noticed that towards lunch time it gets pretty busy, so if you're curious about this place then I think the best time is around 9am-1pm ish from my experience. I didn't know how to feel when they transitioned Vita Vegan out since I had absolutely loved Vita Vegan, but so far the change has been great. Our whole office recently came to have lunch and staff was super friendly. Our server was very pleasant and we had no wait time; however, we came during lunch rush so it took a little time to get our food which is fine since our whole office came out together as a team. I don't have a favorite yet, but I have not had a bad experience. Everything we have tried so far has been delicious and they give large portions so you can have your leftovers later. Restroom was clean which is always a plus and is a good sign of a clean restaurant. If you haven't stopped by yet, this is your sign to go check them out! This was my first time at District Cafe and I ordered the Carne Asada plate from the Mexican Menu. It came with potatoes, beans, chilaquiles and scrambled eggs. So delicious and plentiful and a great price. We will definitely be returning for this same plate. read more

Ugh I'm so sad this happened to me but I had really good "Brunch smash" basically 2 English muffins with eggs and smashed sausage with chipotle aioli sauce and sweet potato hashbrowns. We came on Wednesday so it wasn't too busy at 12pm. The food was so amazing and flavorful but unfortunately I got food poisoning 6.5 hours later started dying on the toilet. And this was before I ate dinner and that was my only meal of the day with a Celsius because it was a hefty filling meal so I knew it was from this restaurant. My husband ordered eggs Benedict so I'm assuming my sausage is what made me sick. read more

The year is ending and I was in the mood to try something new. The location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The interior decor is nice and trendy. It gives off a cozy feeling. They also offer plenty of outdoor, heated seating. Staff were nice and quickly seated us. I was so hungry and everything sounded really good. I opted for the chicken fried steak which includes eggs, potatoes, and biscuits and gravy. The order arrived quickly for how busy they were (Sunday morning). The food looked fresh and was still hot. Unfortunately, the breading on my steak (which is deep fried) was burnt in some places so that was not pleasant. The potatoes were mixed with various veggies and looked colorful, but tasted bland. Scrambled eggs were fine. The biscuits, however, were delicious! The gravy was hearty, had a great taste, and was also approved by my dining companion. They offer free coffee with any meal purchase which is nice and I don't remember seeing that at any restaurant before. Not the best tasting, but definitely not the worst. This place has some unique offerings on their menu but most of them are Latin inspired. This time the huevos rancheros stuck out to me. The hubs decided to go with the steak and eggs. I enjoyed the tortilla and beans but I did not care for the potatoes. They were a little undercooked and lacked flavor. The hubs enjoyed his steak stating it had great flavor but he felt the same way about his hash browns as I felt about my country potatoes, stating they were bland and undercooked. We had such a great experience at The District! The service was incredibly fast, friendly, and super accommodating from the moment we sat down. I ordered the Sarducci Club with a side of garlic fries and WOW... it takes a classic club sandwich to a whole new level. The chipotle aioli and honey mustard combo was amazing, and the garlic fries were SO GOOD My husband and dad both got the Bakersfield Omelette, which was very filling. Made it in for Happy Hour. Soo good. $5 specials including draft beers. We opted for the 5 for $20 deal. We each had a chili cheese dog and burger and shared garlic fries. Everything was very good. The food here is decent, but it's the employees I'm writing about. The employees here seem rude and they will ignore you to the point you feel like a ghost. I ordered a beverage and waited 15 minutes for it to come out and the place was not close to busy. I asked my server for a refill and he brought it out after 10 minutes. I was also wearing a white shirt and sat on the green patio chair, next thing I know my white shirt was stained green! The staff are all very friendly and you get the impression that they really like working there. Fresh made lemonade was very good. The fries were seasoned well and still crispy when I got to eat my food. The cheeseburger was a simple smash burger with lettuce tomato red onion and pickle which all came on the side. We ordered the five for $20 items on the happy hours menu. All items are $5 but if you order five, you get one free. There was a lot of food for the price which was good but even though the french fries were tasty, they were very cold, so was the chili dog the cheese wasn't even melted, the cheeseburger and the pork sliders were good and so was the frito pie. Saw this spot on my TikTok and instagram so stopped to check it out. The tri tip sandwich was delicious that I came back the next day for another. Got the special. Biscuits and chorizo gravy. Sounds like a good time. My biscuit to gravy ratio was off and it led to me trying to ration the gravy to help with the dry biscuits. Couldn't have a conversation because of the kitchen dishwasher guy was banging around dishes and spraying them with high soeed water. Can't be helped but its a weird design to have the dishwasher guy right next to the dining area. Bathroom was out of paper towels upon arrival. I alerted the wait staff when ordering water and about an hour later I went to wash my hands and the paper towels still were not refilled. The coffee was burnt and kept getting refilled when I wasn't ready. Messing up my ratios of creamer and sugar. I saw that coffee was free with purchase of an entree in other recent reviews but that is not the case anymore. Very slow service. Took about 40 minites to get food and the restaurant was at less than 50% capacity. Make sure your table has salt to help the chorizo gravy. I never thought I would need to add salt to chorizo anything. I have to go back to the lack of hand drying for over an hour. That is a health code violation. How are the employees properly washing their hands and returning to work? This is a very basic, customer facing safety violation. It just leads to more questions on if something as simple as a hand drying system is not in place what else is the staff being lazy with? I can only ask so many times for the waitress to do the legal health code right thing before reporting it. This is about food safety. If anyone has been sick after eating here please report it. You arent a jerk you are actually helping others be safe. Tldr: food in the ok range. Can't give any more stars because of Healthcare violation that was not corrected after an hour of me informing the staff. read more

We asked our waitress a few times to bring sauces to the table and she kept forgetting. By the time she finally brought them, we were already done eating, which was pretty frustrating. I will say the outdoor dining area is really nice. The vibe and setup outside are probably the best part of the place. Also, the restroom situation isn't the best. There's only one of each and they're always occupied, which gets annoying. I hate leaving bad reviews, but if this helps someone out, I hope it does. When we went to order the happy hour special of 5 appetizers we ordered 1 of them as a tri-tip slider. Our server said it's only pulled pork or chicken, but on the main menu we were given it had tri-tip as an option as well. When we pointed that out she acted annoyed and that she would have to check to see if the kitchen would do it. Our ordering experience just set a negative feeling with the restaurant. We went after church and although it was busy, got a table right away. Unfortunately, our waitress apparently did not turn in our order and we waited as she delivered food to those all around us who had been seated after us. When we finally got her attention from across the room, she waved at us and it seemed she was going to the kitchen to get our meals. My husband order fish and chips, it was a large helping but was covered in some kind of red seasoning that got all over everything. The fries were ok. I ordered the tri tip tacos with garlic fries. The two tacos were loaded with meat and avocado and a tiny bit of pico de gallo. They desperately needed salsa or some kind of sauce. The garlic fries were ok but not worth the $3 extra. She never came back to see if we needed anything. When she brought the bill, we asked if they gave Veterans discounts (my husband is a two tour Viet Name former Marine). She grabbed the bill back up and obliged us with the discount which we appreciated. All in all we won't go back. A great waitress can make even a mediocre meal tolerable, but a bad one with so so food pretty much seals the deal; especially at the prices we're paying. read more

I saw District share on their instagram @ thedistrictcafe that they'd be having vegan sushi selections on Wednesday nights so I went to try it out. We got the poke nachos which were very delicious I highly recommend them! They were full of flavor and the vegan salmon was amazing. We also tried the Vida rolls which were good as well. As for the vegan rolls we tried the Teriyaki, Firecracker, and Taki Taki. All of them tasted so good but my favorite out of the 3 was the teriyaki roll. The workers were sweet and helpful in answering any questions we had. The owner Alejandro was there and provided recommendations for us as well. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more sushi rolls! This review is for their vegan sushi nights, I personally have not tried out their breakfast selections yet. They also had a pop up tent set up outside that sold Vida green juices. We tried the Verde and Boost juice and loved both of them!
