Extremely slow service and not overly helpful. Came in for an apt to get a leak fixed in my tire, and get all tires rotated. It took them 40 minutes after I had arrived for the apt to get it into the shop. When I asked the manager about the hold up and if they would be able to see to it shortly, he simply said, "yeah we are getting to it" and walked back into the shop. read more

It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust.. Here there's a whole team of mechanics and office staff that are not only trust worthy, but friendly. They always go the extra mile to ensure I'm happy. She looked up the information and confirmed it was under warranty. She had it replaced and had me out the door in no time. Great customer service, Olivia, Rubio and the rest of the staff are extremely helpful, full synthetic oil changes are very inexpensive compared to other locations. We have taken four cars for over 12 years. Ralph has always provided excellent customer service. Don't waste your money at the dealer for maintenance or service- you'll get great prices, honest recommendations, and friendly help from the staff. It looks like the bad reviews here stem from waiting. I've learned to either get a ride home or walk across to Starbucks to enjoy a drink with free wifi. I highly recommend getting the lifetime alignment. It costs a little more than a single check. I get it checked and adjusted for every time I get the oil changed, and that has extended the life of my tires. I've purchased 7 sets of tires, had two timing belts replaced, and countless other maintenance procedures done here. Have not had one problem with anything, and two of my cars have had over 100k miles. read more

No no no! Seriously, unless you don't need your car for 4 hours then do not even step foot inside this place! There is never any parking and there is always a line and the customer service is favored towards the regulars. I cannot believe I went in at 10 am told them I would wait.. Even when he said it would be two hours.. And two hours later, people came and left and I figured it was almost ready. Nope. They haven't even started on it:( ahhhh I was so upset! No one said anything to me or apologized .. Only when I said I've been waiting for a long time did someone acknowledge me . I was then told it would be 45 mins more.. I left and came back an hour and a half later to find no phone call - no communication to me that my axe was ready or I'm sorry it's been 4 hours when I said only 2! I mean common.. I get it popular and there is a wait ( I had a coupon that's why I went in the first place) but maybe just maybe, if you say it's going to take a certain amount of time and especially if the poor person is willing to wait and everyone else is willing to come back- that you actually try and have some customer service and do what you can OR AT LEAST COMMUNICATE AND ACT LIKE YOU CARE! I am so very annoyed and fed up for the LAST time! I will never go back.. No matter how great the coupon is! I just cannot believe they think treating a customer(s) like this is ok ? I have been a loyal customer at Firestone Auto Care (Camarillo and Thousand Oaks), but I moved to Simi Valley within the past 6 months. I needed my routine oil change, and decided to visit this location since I live down the street. For one, their parking lot and space is mediocre, but that's not their fault. I came in and waited to be served, which is fine. I had an appointment at 10 am and got there right on the dot. There should have been more than 1 person serving customers and unfortunately, Frank seemed to be very condescending. I ended up waiting an hour and 40 minutes for my service to be finished and once I got my car, the technicians didn't bother to remove the crumpled-up plastic seat cover and paper mats from my car. read more

I have had about 3 to 4 visits at this place. Based on my experience, I can say that these guys will not try to extract more money out of your pocket by suggesting unnecessary repairs/services. For instance, during a visit I asked for an oil-change and they (I guess it was Olivia - she's always polite and courteous to all customers) inspected the oil and said I should be good for another 2k to 3k miles without a change! However, I also had an issue. I had taken my car for Summer car care package in July 1st week (which included free tire rotation) and Alignment check. After the alignment check, I was advised to get the alignment done and I agreed. However, at the time of billing when I inquired about the services done, they said, they hadn't done tire rotation (probably they missed it). As a courtesy, they said they'll do it for free during my next visit. I visited the place again in another 10 days (around 2nd or 3rd week of July) and got the tire rotation done. However, this threw off the alignment. I wish I knew that rotation could affect the alignment. More so, I wish the technicians would have done tire rotation prior to alignment or atleast should have advised me not to get the rotation done so soon after the alignment. read more

Worst customer service I have seen in a long time. Years actually. My boyfriend and I went today to have our car looked at after being recommended by a friend. First off there was no parking. After we finally found parking we went up to the front part and there were plenty of people there to acknowledge us but not one even said hi. Nothing. So me being the nice person that I am figured they were busy and I went inside to wait. Another customer walked in and a couple minutes later a employee walked in to talk to him. When they were finished the employee looked at me and almost walked away. He basically forced himself to talk to me and was not very nice when I asked him a question. He snapped at me and said "well it could be lots of things!" So I said "Ok" and asked if they could look at my car and he said "Well bring it in when you want" I told him I'm ready and my boyfriend was outside waiting, let me go tell him. We waited and no one said anything to us. So we went up to where all the employees were and they looked at us, walked right in front of us like we were invisible. They did NOT say a word. We went inside again and waited and no one even came out to help us. We waited by our car and still no one came to talk to us. We were so disgusted we left and went to another place which greeted us within 2 minutes. I still can't stop thinking about how bad we were treated which is why I'm writing this review. Why this is not a recommended review is beyond me.....I think yelp is behind this. Maybe this company pays Yelp to hide negative reviews!!!! read more

This Firestone location helped me out with a problem while I was enroute to a weekend at the Central Coast. Stopped in Simi Valley to pick up a travel companion who noticed one of my alloy wheels was missing a lug nut. Two auto parts stores on Los Angeles Avenue did not have the part and a subsequent visit to Firestone solved the problem. A gracious female technician checked my part and informed me I needed a specific part they did not have on hand. She did suggest we check next door at a local independent tire place (Tony's Tires) and walked me over. That store, who works with Firestone on occasion, had my part in stock and only charged me one dollar ($1.00) . We walked back over to Firestone, installed the wheel nut and a quick spin of my star wrench I was on my way up the coast. Please note Firestone didn't charge me a dime, and were genuinely happy to assist. When I am in Simi and need any car service I am going to this location, and my local contacts are also going to be using them in the future. The employees at Firestone are great neighbors. read more

First off, unless you like being manipulated, ignored and then up-sold, don't go here for any kind of repair because they've already decided you're getting a new tire whether you need one or not. Such a thinly veiled sham I almost had to laugh. The customer service is non-existent! Olivia, or whoever the dark haired girl is, just sat there goofing off with the mechanic while looking at me right through the service window. Seemed like I really inconvenienced her by showing up after they said they'd call me but never did. Instead of coming out to the CS area, she just let me sit there while she finished very clearly just... messing around, then just walked out to my car and drove it into the bay, an hour after they said it would be done! They pulled the tire off and almost instantly said, "Oops, looks like you need a new tire!" HAHAHAHA! The tire was 100% fine, had a nail right in the middle which could have easily been plugged or patched, but it had to be a new tire because it looked like it ran low and had some "rubbing". Look, I get if the tire had been run low and the side walls were compromised, they have a responsibility not to patch it. But it was so obviously fine (without getting into specifics, I am 100% qualified professionally to make that determination), and their little exchanges were so blatantly obvious that the choice to sell me a new tire was made before the punctured one even came off. I just laughed and took it elsewhere. Such a bummer. I can hear it now, "We take our customers safety very seriously, even if there's nothing wrong with your tire!" They'll definitely take your gullibility very seriously, so watch out. This review is for tire repairs only. This location is the most dishonest location you can choose for tire service. Stay away at all costs. A single tire was presented to them for a patch repair in the morning at approximately 10:00am. The associate was unsure of their ability to patch the tire and held the tire for assessment. At 12:00pm, we had not heard from anyone at Firestone, so we called for an update and were told that the tire hadn't been looked at and they would attempt to expedite the assessment and call back. Several calls were made to the store which resulted in no answers, so we returned to the shop at 4:00pm. Upon arrival, they claimed the tire could not be repaired and attempted to charge unnecessary fees and duplicate fees on addition to the cost of the new tire. We had not agreed to the purchase of a new tire, and when requesting the tire that was dropped off we were told they had thrown away the tire. The lack of professionalism and attempted scam that was experienced today is unacceptable. I hope this can serve as a warning to others. read more

the only straight shooting place I have found. Never try to upcharge or add on extras you don't need. Very helpful and the prices are very reasonable. I have had my brakes done there, oil changed several times and had a complete tune up. I've taken my girlfriends car there as well. Good coupons online usually. It's definitely best to call ahead and make an appointment as the place gets busy and walk ins may have to wait awhile. read more
