If you want a positive experience Do Not Go Here. I booked an appointment Thursday to have a sensor for my tires replaced on Sunday. I was told that it would be done if I drop my car off at 9:00am and leave it there by 1pm. I received two calls from the place informing me that 2 sensors are out. I oked for the work to be completed. An hour later I received a call telling me they don't have this sensor and I need to come back Tuesday of next week. When I told them they replaced a sensor in the past the rep told me no we can do then here come back at 2:45pm. When I arrived at 2:45pm I was told the mechanic went home for the day due to a supposed emergency. Overall the communication and misunderstanding was bad and I ended up taking my car elsewhere. Firestone definitely lost my business and my friends will hear about it as well. read more

I have been a loyal Firestone customer for at least 15 years. We have 4 of our vehicles registered to receive lifetime tire alignment care. Today I went to register another car (Toyota Highlander) for lifetime alignment care with Firestone at Simi Valley, CA (Store Manager 'Ralph Gaudioso'). Unfortunately my experience at the store was very unpleasant. I dropped the car around 4 PM and was told to pick up the car around 7:45 PM as they were busy. The store charged me $199 for lifetime alignment. It sounded a little more than what I paid the last time I registered my old car for lifetime. I called the Firestone in the nearby city- Thousand Oaks (10 miles away) and they were charging $169 for the same lifetime alignment. I thought I would request that the store manager price match when I picked up the car. When I shared the price with the store manager during the pick-up, he threatened to stop the alignment if $199 cost didn't sound okay with me. I tried to explain that it is not that $199 didn't sound okay but the fact that the same company store was charging two different prices. He told me that he was happy to stop the work so I can take my car to Firestone at Thousand Oaks. I was like "I already spent my afternoon to get the alignment so why wouldn't I get the work completed now?" It's a great company, but store manager's like Ralph make the whole experience of going to Firestone a little frustrating. Had I not known that other stores are charging less for the exact same service, I would have been totally fine. However the fact that after bringing up the price discrepancy the store manager ignored and handled this situation rudely was very disappointing. I am hoping they can train their store managers on how to handle these kind of situations read more

I went in today because the front plastic part of my car was hanging off. The staff was amazing and immediately helped me. They were very busy but since it was an easy fix the mechanic came out quickly. He found the parts he needed and fixed the plastic part in just a few minutes. I originally Came in there for my oil change and to replace my splash guard. Honda was going to charge me 60 and told me it would take about thirty minutes just to replace it. What Honda didn't tell me is that in order to change the oil you need to remove the guard in the first place(i bought the new guard already, also I've had two free oil changes from Honda so I didn't know how to change the oil yet since I didn't need to) fire stone let me know this and replaced my guard for free. This place has one of the best customer service ever. Olivia was super nice and accepted my coupons . For a interstate battery and oil change it was 220. They also extended my warranty for more years with no charge. . They explained everything correctly and thoroughly . I dont like the spot where it is located LA ave is a busy street and it's hard to get in and out . My car worked superb after I got it fixed the wait time was not to bad in dropped off my car and went to work. I've never had an auto shop that I trust as much as this one. We've been going here for years and when I moved out of the area for a while, I had to find a new place to take my car. The other places I found always took forever to get me my car, and always always called trying to get me to do something that just wasn't necessary. THIS Firestone NEVER does that! I can completely trust that if they say my car needs something, it really does. Many times I take my car in for an oil change and they don't have any other suggestions, they just take care of my car and send me on my way. I finally gave up on finding another place and would drive over an hour to take my car here. Now I'm only a half hour away and am thrilled, but it's worth the drive, no matter how far! I was very skeptical bringing my Mercedes Benz cls500 to a shop like this- even my tow truck driver warned me about being overcharged and taken advantage of. Since they were close to the spot my car broke down and open Sunday I took a chance already excepting that i was going to pay more than I should have... To my surprise it was the exact opposite. I got quoted roughly $355 to replace a sensor, the next day I got a call back that it was actually going to be $100 less than originally quoted. I did my research on the parts & labor...I'm being charged roughly what a dealer would charge. I'm just like everybody else out there... I think most mechanics are crooks and try to take advantage of most consumers- but my experience with Firestone was a good one, I will take my cars back and refer them to friends and family!!! read more

I love this place! Normally, as a female, i'm SO timid about car repair places, i mean its a stereotype that we women-folk are unknowing and easy to take advantage of in this department. Well, NOT here people - the guys are SO nice and explain things in plain English and are honest and more than fair. They keep it real too, I've popped in before for something simple and they told me upfront they had a long wait, i said thanks for the heads up i'll stop by another day. The gentleman caller has a lifetime rotation or alignment through them so he's there all the time and they are always so cool and helpful - they never give him the 3rd degree because he's not paying, they treat him just like everyone else - like a customer (who they treat RIGHT). I've had oil changes here, and they've patched my tires etc. I wouldn't have any reservations about them doing any work on my car really. Only one negative thing to say - i took my car to the carwash and they must have put an oily blanket on the car because it got smudged and its been a PAIN i can't get it off. Its no big deal, i'm sure it will work itself off in the long run, but if you notice something like that speak up then i'm sure they'll fix it.. I have had the privilege and luck of running into some well managed Firestone shops but my experience at this one was over the top! I recently bought new tires at a shop in AZ and them promptly got a fat nail in one of them within a month of buying the tires... the shop was not able to repair the tire for safety reasons (he nail was to close to the sidewall of the tire), they were not able to match the exact tire (inventory issues) so they put two matching tires on the back of the car (staggered tires on car) and yes the road hazard protection is worth the investment... the tires they put on were an upgraded tire and they did not charge me a dime!!! And finally, to top it all off, when I received my car back all four tires had exterior dressing on them so that they would shine!!! This type of service far exceeded my expectations! In a day and age when only negative comments are voiced I am pleased to vocalize how professional I felt this shop to be! If you get a chance ask for Olivia at the front desk, she is incredible!!! read more

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet! I went to the Simi location for my oil change. Previously I had gone to the one in Studio City, which is awesome to by the way! They took great care of me and Phoebe (my Fiat). They didn't have me wait an excessive amount of time, they also didn't try and "sell" me on things like other places do to females. The girls working inside are super sweet and knowledgeable. I brought my car in again today because I have been hearing this rattling sound every time I turn my car. Turns out I had ran over a pretty big raccoon or opossum. :'o( The bar underneath was bent a bit from the impact, not to mention the fur that was caught in it. They straightened it out and took me along for a test drive to ensure that I didn't hear a rattling sound anymore. The tech even topped off the fluids in my car. All this and it was ZERO charge! I seriously LOVE Firestone! I won't be taking Phoebe anywhere else. read more

my #1 son was home for the holiday from his new job in Northern California. Last night a mysterious sound developed in his car-it sounded like it was in the front tire area. After taking a look with his dad this morning (and finding nothing) we looked for professional help. It's Sunday, on a holiday weekend, so we were grateful to find a place open. There were cars there when they arrived, and Rowan, the incredibly nice, helpful, service person, took the car and information and promised a call with the diagnosis. On pins and needles we awaited the call.... What is it? And even more so, how much? Our son is young, recently graduated, just started a new job, and is not even old enough to rent a car. When called with the news of a loose bolt which caused the mystery sound, and that it was fixable -we were happy to say the least-and after a short time he got the call that the repair was done and the car was ready. When my son went inside to settle up, he was surprised by the bill. They did a full curtesy check! They fixed the problem! Told him about things the should eventually get fixed (problem he already knew about) And then ......they charged him nothing! Their time and effort to find and tighten up a bolt, not to mention checking the fluids and such, has worth. We are grateful to a business who says "it wasn't much" and then charges nothing when we fully expected to be charged for some labor when we picked up the car. My son is now returning to his new home and job, and we're grateful for the people who helped get him on his way with their great customer service! Great price for synthetic blend oil change, but made an appt for 3 pm and now I've been here an hour and a half because they don't have my oil filter. One guy ordered one said it would b here in seconds and he left. Well it's been 15 mind from the "seconds" comment and still not here. No one knows where it was ordered from or how long it will be. So I sit here with my toddler very discouraged. I would hope to get a discount for my oil change today when this madness is done.... On top of it no one will let me know what's going on. I had to keep asking anyone and everyone for answers and finally. Then time passes and still no answer again. Finally again one of the mechanics leaving told me yeah its needs an oil filter don't know where it's coming from. And then he left for the day.... very frustrated right now...... HORRIBLE!!! Went there for an oil change and the manager was an arrogant and condescending jerk. Not only that but soon after my (4 hour) oil change, my engine shield fell off and began dragging against the concrete and I had to take it somewhere else and pay to fix their mistake. Wow! I had the busiest Monday morning ever. I was listening to a conference call and noticed that my tire pressure warning light came on again. Trying to get in all my morning assignments I pulled into Firestone and Alex greeted me right away. I rolled down my windows and signaled to him that my tire pressure was low, he knew right away what I was talking about and checked all tires and put air in them. Ok, so I brought my car here because I smelled gas in the cab of my car. These guys were nice as can be and quoted out what needed to be done to get the car in top shape again. They gave me a printout of over 2300 in services that would need to be done, some crucial some not. When I took this printout to a very good friend mechanic the next day - he checked the car himself and verified it was mostly bullsh*t. They padded this bill to the extreme, very dishonest. read more

I had an appointment for a wheel alignment @10am. According to the girls in front, they are pretty slow right now and should be getting my car in really soon. After waiting for 45mins when being scheduled at 10am they finally take my car in. Waited 1hr and 45 mins for a wheel alignment. They girls in front weren't professional. They were cursing and swearing about their discussion of their personal life. The guy that did my car, had no respect when taking my car on a test run. He drove the car like it was his, by taking the car to HIGH RPM! REALLY disappointed with this visit here at this Simi location. I used to go to the Thousand oaks location, which I was really happy with but just moved to Moorpark so the Simi location was the closest. Probably gonna take my car to the Thousand oaks location for my next alignment. read more

So I went in to get my standard oil change done to my Honda Civic. Unfortunately they were a little backed up and it took a little longer than expected. They went out of their way though and accommodated me for the delay. They even waived the cost for the oil change. They also are very friendly and cordial people, not wanting to swindle people you for costs like the typical dealerships. If it's not needed they won't tell you to change it. Great place.
