Firestone has put my family in a financial hardship. I initially took my car to get tires and I got a phone call about an hour and a half later saying that a employee ran into the left side of my car with another customers truck causing the whole left side of my car to be completely damaged. I tried to get a hold of the person who's in charge of estimating the damage to my car through fire stone and I wasn't able to get of hold of her I was only given an email , now she was the only one to be able to approve a rental car so I was basically left with a very messed up car and had to wait 3 to 5 days to be approved for a Rent-A-Car through Firestone. It was their FAULT!!!!Seriously not even a number but a email! What did they expect me to do walk around with three kids . Do not bring your car here!!!!!When I asked the manager if I could get a discount on the work of my car (tires) she said nope. Seriously they won't even give me a discount on tires or anything when they messed my car up. Like any human you would expect to get a rental car paid for , no questions asked that day . Known to be such a well respected Tire Company..., ( B.S.)I went with my own insurance I could not wait .....Long story short he damaged it so bad it was a total loss. So because they were unreasonable , careless, and in a hurry I get the consequences of their actions. My car was nice . And now I'm put in a financial hardship , stress, anxiety of having to buy a new car. They proved to have the worst costumer service and NOT MAKING ME THE CONSUMER HAPPY! recently i rode past a guy who was hammering the spinner on/off a dayton rim without any success. when i passed him on the return trip an hour later, he had made no progress. i offered my assistance, and took him to a nearby midas - whose manager refused to open the door/help the guy out. i rode home, got my car, and had the guy follow me to firestone after 5pm. firestone folk fixed his wheel, installed a tire or two, and made the guy look good to his family -who had been in the car the entire time. firestone rocks. read more

Not a good experience. Not focused on customer service. Too long of a wait. Call before coming to make sure ur appointment really exists. Really need to get some professionalism in business. Needs to be sensitive of everyone's time, not that everyone is free and has all time in the world to wait. Can definitely improve. read more

I have been taking my car there for years, and I continue to drive all the way from San Jose just to have my car serviced at this shop. They do good and timely work but they way over priced. I was quoted a price to have a thermostat installed. The price of the part 10x the price I could get it at a parts store. Overall over $450 with labor. A competitor quoted me a price of $280 parts and labor. The guy I wanted to verify the price was nice but he didnt know how his coworker who called me with quote came up with that price so I said thanks but no thanks. read more

They have a great deal, for only one payment of 199 you get unlimited alignments for the life of the car... sounds too good to be true? It is, at least for those who don't want a damaged vehicle. I brought my car in and was told it would take anywhere from 3-4 hours. When I leave I get a call just 1 hour later saying my car is ready. I thought this was weird because of how busy they said they were that afternoon. The next day I wake up and see paint chipping of the passenger side fender and a bend on the driver side fender. When I go back to tell them about the damage they refuse to accept responsibility. Even after watching the low quality surveillance footage, and seeing that the alignment tool they used directly lined up with the damage they still refused to acknowledge fact that their worker could have damaged my fenders. After all was said and done I didnt even get a refund for the alignment. Save your money and go else where. read more

These place is horrible.. they are just disorganized... it seems like they want to get all the business in and they don't stick to their word... I took my car in at 1pm and they told me it will be ready 4pm... so when I go back in to pick up my car..they said it should be ready by 6pm. C'mon guy's... you took away 3 hours of my time waiting, which could have been easily avoided if you tell me upfront that you are busy.... aagrrr I had to go down the road to Trustlane Automotive and it took them 30mins to do it and great customer service, I highly recommend them. read more

Warning to potential customers! I was experience some knocking under the front wheels when I took my car into Firestone to look at it. They took it for a drive - could not hear what they problem was - but of course found other problems. They came back with a repair estimate of $1038 including a bid for a bunch of work I wasn't expecting, and could not guarantee me that the knocking I heard would go away. I let them fix my back breaks for $189 - but then took my car to a Goodyear mechanic in Martinez. $274 later, the concerning noises I heard are gone, and I have my car back and working like new! I SAVED MYSELF A LOT OF MONEY BY NOT LETTING FIRESTONE DO ANY FURTHER WORK ON MY CAR!! If you want good, affordable work done on your car - unfortunately, this is not the place to go. read more

Good consistent service, this shop always takes good care of my car! Good prices on oil changes, always a coupon online...also love there complementary inspection. This shop works me in on a weekend even without an appointment! THESE guys saved my car! So my best friend and I were driving down from Pittsburg, CA, to Carmel Beach for the day. On the Freeway my tire blew out so with the spare we drove to this Firestone location. The guy who helped me was very friendly and had a good sense of humor. My wife and I were heading North to San Francisco to pick up our son who was returning from overseas, at the SF airport on a Sunday morning. As we a were approaching Salinas, a warning light came on and I could see that my battery/charging gauge was going down. I pulled into a shopping center and saw the Firestone Complete Auto... opened on Sunday!! I was met by Jamie F and he immediately found the problem, the alternator went out. After a search with suppliers in the area he found one, and within an hour we were back on the road! Without his help we would have not made it to meet son. Wow. Paid for new front brakes on my car...I'm glad I asked someone who knows something about cars to check it out when I got home, because they didn't actually replace my brake pads! How can this happen?? They specifically advertised that they would use Wagner brake pads...but my car still has the old Duralasts that we put on 2 years ago. Recently I had an urgent need to have a tire plugged (due to a nail in the tire). Two of the employees at this store behaved irresponsibly and unprofessionally. The service clerk at the desk gave me a firm time when the tire repair would be complete: 35-45 minutes. I did not immediately notice that the repair estimate paper she provided showed that the work was promised to be completed in 70 minutes. This clerk knew that what she said bore no resemblance to what they were committing to do. The second problem arose when one of the mechanics brought the car into a bay, put it up on the rack and left for lunch! He said nothing to anyone about getting another mechanic to finish the work. So my car and it's leaking tire just sat like that until I insisted that another mechanic be assigned to the job immediately. The tire repair ended up taking the full 70 minutes, which would have been much longer if I had not insisted that another mechanic finish the job while the first mechanic took his lunch break. This is clearly NOT a shop where honesty and integrity are valued traits in their employees. read more

Okay so I read the guys review about his oil cap being off for a month, that's such a lie the oil would of been shooting out everywhere the first day and it would have been extremely obvious, unless you're a retard. I just took my car in not that long ago for an oil change and was happy to know they did a vehicle inspection for free! I was stoked because I was concerned about a couple things, they let me know the problems my car was having and let me know if it was necessary to fox immediatelt or if it could wait. IF it was possible to give more than 5 stars, this place would get all of them! Jaime and Monica are the greatest managers possible (kind, funny, efficient and so very likable,) to a team that is courteous, quick, very service oriented, honest and truly geared toward helping the customer remain safe, aware of any possible troubles and content that they are getting the very best service by true professionals! My car broke down in Salinas, on my way home to San Francisco from San Luis Obispo. I was nervous about using a garage that I wasn't familiar with as I have been cheated by mechanics a few times in the past, or otherwise treated with such laissez faire that I would invariably walk away knowing I was in for more trouble. From the second I entered this garage, I knew I had found a goldmine. The mechanics were so quick to gather around and find my problem with expert eyes, and fixed my cars trouble in what seemed like record time. As my car is old, they also gave me a heads up to a few problems that will surely show up in the future, but that they thought I could still buy a little time on, as I am on a very tight budget. I don't know jack about engines. They could easily have convinced me that I HAD to spend much more money that day then I did, but they all seemed bent on my true situation, which is that of an average person, struggling to make ends meet and trying to scrape by safely and well enough, without being financially blindsided. Did it suck to break down in a town I know nothing about and be left alone and wondering if I was going to come out all right? Yes. Am I glad that everything happened this way? YES! Because, in all honesty, my experience with Jaime, Monica and the staff at Northridge Mall Firestone really did do so much to enhance my idea that we are all just human beings, out to make our way and help each other along the path. Humanity is a great thing to be a part of when you know it has people who care like the staff at NM Firestone. I am forever grateful! read more

We have 4 cars that we've been bringing to Firestone Salinas for many years. I've always trusted them with repairs and maintenance. Lately, I realized that when I call them for a scheduled preventive maintenance, they will only look at the manufacturer's recommended work in front of their computer screen WITHOUT checking the car's maintenance history which is available in their computer (assuming that you had your car serviced by them prior to this call ). My Toyota Highlander has 105,000 miles and I was advised that I needed a coolant system service and transmission system service. Since the primary reason I called was to have my water pump and timing belt replaced (nothing wrong with them at this point ) just preventive, I decided to check my records. I realized that they had already serviced my transmission before and now they want to do it again. Lesson learned. Check your records before calling them as they will not bother to look at your history ( unless you prompt them, I mean really...this is automatic in other places). So I had them do a timing belt and water pump replacement and a complete vehicle inspection of my vehicle. Dropped it off at 8 AM and did not get a call that it is ready until around 3PM. So the total bill was $843.42 and this is with my 20% off coupon. Curiosity got the best of me so I asked how much is the per hour charge for their mechanic and the reply was $130.00 per hour. In fairness to Firestone, they have provided me with acceptable service all these years except for one time when my daughter had a brake job on her Nissan Altima and the service was so bad she had to return the car so they can fix it at no charge. In summary, I will not hesitate to bring my cars to Firestone as I still trust their service work ( most of the time ) but due to their current pricing on a per hour basis, I will have to rethink my association with Firestone and find a better Auto Care Shop with a reasonable per hour charge ( even if I have to go back to a Toyota Dealership ) for service. read more

I am an avid Firestone user. I used to go to Firestone all the time and my tires are from Firestone. I have only been to this particular Firestone twice and now it has been my last time to coming to at least this Firestone. I went in for a routine oil change and had my air filter replaced. 3 days later, a sensor light came on in my dashboard. Took it to my dealership but they didn't have time to see me. The mechanic popped my hood with me present to just see if there was anything obviously wrong and if i should leave it there for overnight and there was - my air filter hose had not been reattached! The dealership wouldn't fix it for liability purposes so I went back here and they supposedly fixed it. When I went home that night and showed my husband, the hose was STILL not reattached! I will be issuing a formal complaint with Firestone corporate! How could you "fix" something and not really fix it? Absurd. read more

Had a 7am appointment a couple weeks ago for a standard alignment, arrived 6min late. Got the service order in and got the print out..7:12am. Specifically asked how long it would take because I was going to wait in the store; guy said 1 hour...cool! My truck sat outside for 55 minutes before it went in. What the fk is that?!? I made an appointment for a reason that early, I had places to be. Then it took another hour to get the job done. Here's what GRINDS me.. If they know its going to take longer before it goes in, why can they just come tell you? I wouldn't mind the wait if they would just say "hey sorry it's taking a little bit longer for the tech to get to your car, but were going to get to it ASAP". But nothing. I had to ask what's happening, all I got was "it'll go in shortly" I had to say what is shortly here? Bottom line this place sucks in customer service. There's other places in town that would love the work and because they aren't a corporate type shop, they have much better customer service. These big guys don't give a f.. read more

They went above and beyond! We we're traveling from San Jose to Oxnard and we got a flat tire in the city of salinas on a Sunday around 4:30 I called them stating we had an emergency, we were 4 hrs away from home and we needed all 4 new tires to travel safely back home. They checked for me and they had all 4 of the same size tires that I needed knowing they only had 30 min till they were closing I rushed to their location and they started to work on my car as soon as I got there. Within 30 min they were done changing all four brand new tires at a good price! When I went to use my credit card since I had protection fraud on my card my purchase would not go thru so they offered me a Firestone credit card with zero interest for the 1st six months! I went ahead and took it! As I had no time to be calling my bank to authorize my card charge. They have great customer service! I recommend them! what can i say but dont go there. had brakes fixed-they squeal horribly-they ordered special parts from toyota-and we took car to toyota and they told us they were not toyota parts-ug-they cant seem to stop them from squealing-they said the car makes rust everyday and that is why it sounds horrible. now we bought a set of tires-and after 12,000 they are all bad-they are cupping-they are the loudest tires i have ever hear-and we spent good money for them-cant wait to see what they will do now-? dont go there ever! read more
