It has been a long time since I have been to this place but thought I needed to make this review after remembering this place. If it still has the same owners as when it was called, "Fletchers" DO NOT GO HERE! Everyone from this community knows to avoid this place at all cost. I used to go here, a long time ago I should add and knew others who went here and there are so many people I have talked to with terrible experiences. Known for stealing change, recommending unnecessary products, and causing serious damage to cars. If this is different ownership/business I will remove this but if not everyone who has lived in Cave Creek for a long time know this place is extremely sketchy. I got an oil change here once and then a few weeks later my car was making odd noises, got it checked at a different shop and they didn't even change the oil! I called them back and they said they had a problem that week, but admitted it! I made a yelp today after realizing this place is still here and just thought I should create this ad to warn people from the terrible business practices that most locals know about. There are others in the area that are amazing, may be more expensive but at least it is not a huge liability. It makes sense they changed the name because I am sure word got around to how bad this place is. I have talked to so many people with way worse stories than me, just thought I would voice some of them on here. Just pay the extra cash and go anywhere else. Do not get your car fixed at Fletcher's! I went in for an oil change and tire rotation and they forgot to screw my lug nuts back on . They let me drive away with my children in the car. Driving down Cave Creek Road, I realized there was a problem. The tire was coming off and all the bolts and lugs were bent. The manager fixed the problem right way. I tried to be understanding because things can be overlooked and we were not injured. I gave them a second chance by having my shocks and struts replaced. After picking it up, I heard a strange grinding noise under my car. I brought it back and they told me it was probably something simple that had come loose. But in all actuality, they had broken one of my axles and let me drive off with my children in the car again. We could have been seriously hurt! They knew they had made a serious mistake and were trying to cover their tracks. They replaced the axle but I still did not trust the work and took it to Toyota for a complete check up. Worst of all, I have called corporate several times to complain. No one has bothered to call me back. I am not looking to get anything, I just want to make sure they have better safety checks for future customers. I fear that another family will have negligent service and get in an accident. Excellent service. Ken greeted me as I walked in and was quick to look at my flat tire. He was beyond courteous and attentive. I had picked up a razor blade, so it wasn't safe to repair. They set me up with a new tire without any sales pressure for add-ons or upgrades. read more

I have been a customer at this location since it opened on balance i am a happy camper. Since I only drive Honda's, I usually need nothing but routine maintenance. They do this well, although they sometimes have a problem meeting time promises-. A few years ago a mechanic screwed up drain plug and ruined the oil pan. With no pain on my part, they bought and installed a new oil pan at no expence. This was the only to correctly fix this problem, and they did it right with no aggravation to me. They have always been professional and pleasant to me. Don't understand all the negative reviews on Yelp. Perhaps they are looking for perfection. It ain't here or anywhere else for that matter. Took my car in for an oil change last week. A week later, I pull out of my garage and forget something in the house so I park in the driveway. I walk back in the garage on my way inside the house to see a 2'x1' slick of fresh oil. Immediately call to take my car in. My car did not leak oil prior to the oil change. Sure enough, they had not fully tightened something down. Perhaps the staff is overworked? Not sure. They fixed it right away, but the fact is, my engine could have seized from lack of oil and I was left with a huge mess to clean up in my garage. It makes me not trust that Fletcher's double-checks their work before releasing the vehicles. Used to really rely on Fletchers too. Bummer. read more

Ok in general but check part prices before you OK any work. I didn't and I wish that I had. Fletchers in general has treated myself, my girlfriend, and others pretty well on tires, including price, but this was my first experience with having other service done. I brought my van in to have the tires rotated and balanced. I also reported that I'd been experiencing a bit of a vibration at freeway speeds. Ryan, the mechanic, quickly found the culprit as he shook my right front tire; the lower ball joint was failing. Ordinarily, I do most work myself, but as I'm running short of time before I take the van on a trip, I decided to let them have at it. They quoted me $1200 to replace the upper and lower ball joints on each side, and while I thought that was a bit high, I know that it's a bit of a pain to do the job, and they could finish it that day. Additionally, I insisted on using top quality Moog brand parts for the job. The work was done well, and I have no complaints with the mechanics at all. The only thing I didn't expect was for their cost for the parts to be so much higher than for the same brand of part at a retail shop. For the upper ball joints I was charged $115 each; the same part (Moog K80196) goes for $38 each at O'Reilly down the road. The lowers (Moog K80197) were even more; Fletcher's charged me $179 each; they go for $69 each at O'Reilly. While I know all shops do some retail markup, I didn't expect markups of over 100% on the parts. Overall, the experience left me mixed. I'm glad that the van was fixed competently, and they didn't try to sell me things that I didn't need, like I've seen happen to other people. But the parts markup felt like a sneaky trick. I'm sure someone gets a nice bonus for that markup. If I had thought to check, I would have gone and picked up the parts myself. read more

Vehicle needed, according to them?, new water pump, thermometer and new serpentine belt. In addition, coolant flush. They tried charging me labor cost for EACH separate job. The problem is in order to replace the water pump you must remove the belt and drain the system. Totally unethical. what they tried doing by double charging for labor would be like charging labor for breaks and then also tire rotation! also - they're parts cost were 3 times what the same OEM part cost at retail store. read more

Stopped in and spoke to the manager about wide white wall tires for a classic car. He said I need to by the Firestone white wall tires from a classic tire dealer and then they could mount the tires for me. I purchased the white wall Firestone tires on line and called back to make an appointment for mounting. The guy that answered the phone said they would not mount any tire not purchased at the store. I explained to him they were new Firestone classic white wall tires and a I spoke to the manager in person ealierer and was told they would mount the tires. when I asked to speak to the manager on the phone the guy said they would not mount the new Firestone tires for me and then hung up. I took the tires to Discount Tires on Scottsdale Road and had them mounted in less then an hour. We own 6 cars including the classic cars and we will never put another set of Firestone Tires on any of them. read more

I had an appointment for a 1:00 oil change. I'd arrived at 12:45. At 2:00 my car was pulled into a bay and the hood raised. It remained there until 3:00. At this time I'd asked when my car would be completed - no answer, so I left never to return. read more

I scheduled an appointment & had four new tires installed and did the alignment. All good so far. Three weeks later the tire pressure indicator went off. I drove that morning to this location and they added air to one tire but said they were short handed and didn't have time to time to check the tire. I drove to work in Chandler that same day and the tire pressure indicator went off again. I went to the Chandler location at about 1:00 and they did the same and said the same thing. I left Chandler I drove back to North Phoenix which is were I live. The indicator went off again and drove back to the Carefree location. This was at about 4:00 in the afternoon. I got the same story, don't have time but you can set an appointment to have it look at the next day. They didn't even offer to put air in the tire that time. I set the appointment for 11:00 the next day. That morning, the my was in garage and the tire was flat. I had to jack the car and put the spare on to drive to the appointment at 11:00. They discovered that the tire had a nail and repaired it. I would say it was a rough day the day before. You would think that any company would help a person out when they report the same problem three times in one day. Especially when you bought new tires from them. By the way, they charged me $22.00 for the repair. Boy do I miss the day of the local gas station with full mechanic service. These big companies just don't care. Buyer beware. read more

Our car's air-conditioning stopped within 10 minutes of our destination in Cave Creek. My sister suggested having Firestone check it out. We dropped it off on Tuesday and, since they were short-staffed, they couldn't work on it til Wednesday. One hears horror stories about on-the-Road repair services and exorbitant charges and we were holding our breath. However, they found that a valve needed to be replaced and the Freon replenished. I appreciate that they found the problem quickly, that the charges were reasonable, and that we were able to travel back to LA on schedule on Thursday. Learn from my mistakes!! *dont let this happen to you Had gone here (firestone on carefree highway & black mountain rd) for a (cheap) oil change. What I received was much different. Whoever was working on my car thought it was a good idea to top off my coolant/antifreeze to a level right below the overflow cap (too much). Then, when I got my car back, there was a steady leak of antifreeze/coolant from my radiator that I noticed the following day when it left a huge stain on my neighbors driveway. I took my car back to firestone and told them what the problem was (they overfilled my coolant), and I kindly asked if they would correct their mistake and drain my coolant back to a normal level. After being put on hold, in-person, while 3 people stand at desks in front of me not acknowledging my existence, about 30 minutes later some other employee (not one of the 3 over-achievers) came up to me and tried to convince me they did not do this to my car (I know that [I] didn't do it, that's why I took it to firestone?). After some time they brought my car into the shop and drained the excess coolant. The next day, I'm still leaking coolant from my radiator. I decided to bring my car to (2 Wrenches Auto) where they diagnosed a large crack in my radiator where it looks like someone loosened/tightened something they weren't supposed to. Leaking coolant and a cracked radiator from firestone was causing my car to overheat and not run correctly. 600$ later 2 Wrenches hooked me up with a new radiator and installation. While firestone denies any type of liability for this screw up. (Buyer/driver beware) don't go to firestone unless you want unplanned problems with your vehicle in the future. I strongly recommend 2 Wrenches Auto near Cave Creek and the 101. Great, honest, fair mechanics here. read more

Went over with the wheels and a different person said they won't do it due to liability concerns. No problem with the tires. He didn't even look at them. I live within walking distance of this joint or I would NEVER go back. I dropped my car for an oil change, tire rotation/balance at 0830. At 3:30 that afternoon I called to check status, still not ready and oh by the way I need new shocks and struts. I probably do need these things but could they not call a sister earlier in the day so i could have ok'd it. Then they tell me that the shocks and struts that THEY put in last time weren't really the good ones (like i know the difference). So the lifetime warranty that i was sold on when i ok'd that service is only good if i put the same (substandard) equipment in, equipment that THEY SELL. It's maddening going in there, i'd rather have a monthly pap smear than go there twice a year. read more

Came in to get my brakes done and was told "no problem at all" as this was my one day off and I needed it taken care of that day. I dropped my vehicle off at 10am that morning with no rush towards getting it done as long as it was done within that day before they closed at 6.I did not receive a phone call until 4pm from the salesman Jonathan who had helped me stating that the brakes I had were not something they had in stock and needed to order and would cost me a great deal more than what I was originally quoted and could not get done til the next day. Instead of going off with it on the phone I decided to just go get my keys and choose not to do business there. When I had arrived to pick up my vehicle it was still on the lift and I had asked for my keys and that I would be taking my business elsewhere. Instead the salesman told me it would take an HOUR to get my vehicle off the lift and set for me to go. I then went off to get an explanation as to why it took just 6 hours to even find out they couldn't get my vehicle done that day and that it was gonna cost way more than I was originally quoted. Instead of any sort of apology, I was treated as if I were stupid with things like "you do realize we don't make your vehicle here". I can understand they were busy or if something had happened but 6 hours to even get any information is ridiculous. No explanation just attitude from the salesman. After I had finally lost my temper a little they got my vehicle down in 15 minutes instead of that hour I was originally told. Imagine that. When I was given my paperwork Jonathan specially had to point out that he didn't charge me for the brake inspection because he was a "nice guy" as he put it. I would hope I wouldn't be charged for such poor service. As if he was doing me such a huge favor for not charging me 21 dollars for the day just to tell me I needed a different kind of brake and how much more expensive it was gonna be. I had to find rides to firestone as I do not live very close but I go there because I trusted them in the past and had done a good job but this experience was terrible and totally unprofessional. An apology would have cut it for me as I know days can be tough and things can happen but instead I was treated as if I were stupid and in the wrong for getting upset with it taking 6 hours to get information I got from another shop that took them less than 30 minutes to tell me what kind I needed, a couple hours to get them on and were 380 dollars cheaper than what Jonathan had quoted me with them being much more expensive. He could have been having a bad day but either way I won't be returning for my business or any of my friends / family who had been going there for many years as well. Had a flat on our vacation. Showed up 20 minutes before closing with 1 car in front of us. Lady working there said they are unable to take any additional cars. We mentioned we are from out of town and needed help; however it was more important for them to leave right at 5 rather than help out someone in need. I would not recommend this place if given the choice. Update: Went to Walmart down the street. They not only stayed an hour later than closing but also helped call the rental car company to explain why the tire couldn't be patched, which resulted in the rental company paying for the tire instead of us. Horrible! They told me a blower and resistor to fix my broken A/C would take 1 hour! A/C went out when it was 115 degrees so I felt I had no choice....even though I had my 2.5yr old Grandson with me. THEY TOOK 4 and a HALF HOURS! My grandson fell asleep in my arms (30lbs) so that made a long situation uncomfortable. But I am not done yet, next they claimed they couldn't run my credit card because it was a debit card. Next, they drobe me to Chase, who couldn't cash it because I don't have an account there. Long HORRIBLE story short- I had no choice but to ask my BOSS to pay over the phone. So embarrassing! I don't believe in credit cards. I pay cash! No debt so lesson learned! Took my tire to get a patch and it took over 4 hours to fix . I mean come on if you tell me my tire will be ready in 1 hour. I get there 3 hours later and they didn't even start on it!!. I brought my Lexus in because the left rear wheel was making a very bad noise. I thought the brakes were going bad...Long story short, they took the time to check all of the brakes, wheels and found that there was a Little Rock lodged causing the sound. The fact that they took the time to check everything out and didn't charge me was the most amazing experience I've ever had with a car mechanic. These guys care for people's vehicles and know how to communicate with they're customers. I'd give them 6 stars if I could!!!!! read more

Good deal on package of oil changes. But every oil change they call with a list of problems, maintenance issues to add on. Every time. Just took car in to have brakes looked at. $800 bill to replace all the rotors and pads. The rotors have never been turned before. My wife got a call from them a couple of years ago, recommended she get all the fluids flushed with the oil change. She couldn't get in touch with me at work and ok'd it. $750. Flush the brake fluid! Not a good place. Called and made an appointment for 2pm to install tires I purchased online and had shipped to their store. First off they never bothered to call me to let me know the tires arrived, which every other place I have done this did. Second, I arrived on time, and they never wrote down the appointment they scheduled with me and told me it would be 2 hours to place my tires because they were booked up at 2pm. I then had to have someone pick me up because I could not wait the 2 hours. They said they would call when finished, and like everything else they never called. The gentleman running the cashier seems very indifferent, does not listen at all, and has very poor customer service skills as evident by the MANY other dissatisfied people in their lobby. Stay away from these guys. Terrible customer service! I purchased a tire from here, and at first my credit card declined because of a mix up at the bank from a deposit I made this am. My fault partly on the bank situation, because I misunderstood how much they were going to release.. long story short, the guy was a jerk about it when I told them that the money was available the following day. (The tire they put on was on my A-6 high performance 2015 vehicle), and his best response is "you're not leaving with that tire", and when I told him, I could leave him something of value that he knows I will be back and he's like Nope, can't do it.. This Fletchers is an absolute joke! STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! Dropped my car off on Saturday 1/9/16 for a radiator swap. Quoted $217- Paid $371- NOT HAPPY While there Ryan advises me that I should get new tires.... I tell Ryan that Greg sold me tires less than 1 year ago when they redid the entire suspension. While there they refuse to honor the warranty, but agreed to give me partial credit. After paying $1700+ for the suspension and tires I think honoring the warranty should be no big deal! So I pick up the car get home to see it's smoking! Came out an hour later to find a puddle of red and blue fluid... NOT HAPPY! My neighbor advises me that the red fluid is transmission fluid and the blue is radiator fluid.... NOT HAPPY! So I contacted my lawyer and will get this figured out one way or the other even if I have to take it court!!! End game, STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!! read more

Charged me $97 for a basic oil change on a new car. Front desk was rude. She told me it would be an hour. I can't back after 2 hours and she told me it would be awhile. There was no one working on any of the cars in there. Do not go here. I never will again. I had realized I had run over a screw, my tire was almost flat, and I had to drive to Black Canyon City. I had 2 kids, and groceries in the car. I knew it needed to be patched, or plugged and it would only be a temporary fix to get me home. I walked in to this Firestone and said I had a tire needing fixed. It was about 4pm, the gal told me they couldn't fix my tire. Didn't ask what was wrong, offer any kind of assisitance in any way. I couldn't believe it. It takes 5-10 minutes to plug a tire. I realize I had to wait my turn, but they were not able to fit me in at all. Wow! Maybe I should have towed my car off. Unbelievable. I would give 0 stars if I could. First a simple oil change - got the car home and after the wife took it to work I see a big oil puddle under the car. Took it back to get fixed. Got the car home and again, a oil drip. Took it back and finally got it right. This time - oil change turns into shocks, struts, etc.. ok but when we pick it up it is clearly making clunking noise when moving. Wasn't happening before. So back to the shop once again. I have have several issues with this particular location. They have disrespected me, over-charged me, and BROKEN parts on my car without telling me!! Can you imagine driving down the freeway, on the way to the airport, when the whole skid plate on your car falls off while you have a child in your vehicle? Very scary! Only to find out that there was a part that broke during the oil change, and the tech supposedly "fixed it"- please note that they did not mention any of this upon pick up. Just wanted to say that the "face" of this location, Greg Martin, is worth every penny you pay him. It's always intimidating for a single woman to have to take a car in for repairs, but I feel a true sense of relief when I see Greg at the front desk. He is very polite and helpful and never makes me feel like a question is too silly. I'm sorry to see some negative comments as I've been going here for years and have never had ANY negative issues. Since we never meet the mechanics, I can only hope they are as good as Greg. read more

DO NOT take your car to these folks!! Worse experience of my life. Would not honor the road hazard policy I had bought a set of Goodyear tires 5 months ago when they were Fletcher's. I had a nail in my tire and was told they could not fix because the 'patch' would have to be up against the side wall of the tire and would not hold. Tire was no good. They offered to sell me a new, discounted matching tire for $15 less than the original price I had paid---a $200 dollar tire with less than 2000 miles on it. I told them about my Road Hazard policy and was informed that Firestone ONLY bought the Fletcher's buildings and not the customer records, customer good will, the workers or the inventory--JUST the building. Then the Saturday manager became rude and I felt it was time to leave the store. As far as they were concerned, I could go pound sand! Went to Discount Tire and they FIXED the tire with No Problem and it was FREE to fix. Great customer service and I am now a Discount Tire customer. Called Firestone Hdqtrs and was told when Firestone bought Fletcher's they bought ALL customer warranty policies and customer good will....I guess NOT!! I called 3 days in advance to get the earliest appoint available to get an oil and filter change. I needed to get in and out quickly. They set me up for 8:00 AM. 1st appointment of the day. I arrived at 7:50 and waited until 8:01 for them to open. (time according to my I- phone}. Since I had an 8:00 am appointment I felt that I should have been 1st in line for service. At 8:20 I was still standing in line to be waited on, with 3 people still in front of me. I was frustrated with the poor service and left. Made an appointment with another company. read more

This place is a rib off. Took my car in because I had a coupon. I even had an appt, but the still made me sit and wait 20 min. When finish, you would not believe all the things "they" found wrong with my car! I took it into Honda, and low and behold None of the items on Fletcher's list needed to be replaced! Horrible! Guess since I was a female, they were trying to take advantage of me. When it comes to cars, why do think it's only a mans world out there???? read more
