Woke up early this morning to a low pressure warning on my one-month-old tires. Realized I had a giant bolt in my tread, and I was too late to book an appointment for today, which always makes life easier Discount Tire. However, I make sure to get to the store early enough to be one of the first three walk-in customers. And being that mine was just a simple pull & plug, I was one of the first people they took care of. I was absolutely blown away by the fact that they fixed my issue in 15 minutes. Nick, who took care of me at the counter, was professional and great communicating how long my service would take. When I purchased the tires, I made sure to get warranty certificates, which makes situations like this painless. Regarding appointments, I've never seen this before, but they had signs welcoming their first customer with an appointment. Extremely disappointed with my experience at Discount Tire. I dropped my car off on Saturday for a repair and was told that my vehicle would be left outside for me to pick up after they closed, since I had somewhere I needed to be. Three minutes before closing, I received a text saying that my vehicle was ready. I came to pick it up as soon as I could, only to find that my car was nowhere outside. It was still inside the building, and the location was already closed. Because it is a long weekend, they are not reopening until Tuesday, meaning I am now left without my car for several days because they did not follow through with what I was specifically told they would do. I understand that mistakes happen, but this was completely avoidable. If I had been told that my car could not be left outside for pickup, I would have made other arrangements. The lack of communication and follow through has been extremely frustrating and has put me in a very difficult situation. read more

This time, it was at the corporate flagship store in Scottsdale, Arizona, where I ran into an issue with the skid plate on my wife's Audi Q7. We were kind of desperate with the grandchild in the backseat and the skid plate dragging at 75 mph, not knowing what to do until Samuel got down under and offered to cut the damn thing off. Instead, he removed what was remaining of the skid plate, and we were on our way in less than 30 minutes. A really well run operation at this busy North Scottsdale location. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. While driving around Scottsdale, I picked up a nail which of course didn't show itself until the tire went flat and all my Mercedes warning lights and bells went off. I hate to go to Mercedes for tire issues since they charge ridiculous prices just to say hello and they admit they are not a tire shop. Discount Tire repaired the flat at no charge, even though the tire was not purchased from their store. Was quoted an hour and half wait time, but was out the door in less than half that. Appt at 230, arrived at 220 and checked in on the phone. Waited in line til 245. I purchased rims here in 2021 for my new RAV4. They swapped them out with the stock rims free, knowing I'd be back for tires when needed. I was told then they would change them free when I got rid of it. I'm turning the RAV4 in for a new one so brought it back to swap the rims back out and they decided on the spot it's $56? I buy many tires from here for my car and my family. I brought my vehicle to Discount Tire for a routine tire rotation and balance--something they do every day. When I returned to pick it up, I was informed there had been an incident and my passenger-side mirror was broken. This damage was not present when I dropped off my vehicle. I was told the issue would be handled through their insurance, but it has now been over two weeks with no resolution. In the meantime, I've had to take a full day off work to bring my vehicle to the dealership for an inspection and repair estimate. The delay has caused ongoing stress and inconvenience, and more importantly, it's a safety concern--I cannot properly use my passenger-side mirror to check blind spots while driving. My family and I have been loyal Discount Tire customers for many years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I was also told a similar incident recently happened to another Ford Bronco, which is concerning given how routine this service is supposed to be. I expected prompt accountability and resolution. THIS DISCOUNT TIRE DESERVES A MILLION STARS!! They are the BEST IN THEIR FIELD. They are so knowledgeable and helpful! The customer service is OFF THE CHARTS! I have been to this location many times. This is the store right next door to their Corp headquarters- scheduled for service - no call to say tires have not arrived. I call and call to find out what's going on - "we will call you". No call back. This happened multiple times. Just do what you say you will do discount tire. I don't mind waiting - but no communication and being blown off is a bridge too far. Went in to get a brand new tire replaced and the guy we spoke with on the phone was super nice. Went in to the shop after he told us to come right over and he'd help us except the guy who we ended up with took a call while he was "helping" us and chit chatted with his buddy on a call for 5 minutes. Was way too cool for his job and tried to upsell us in something we already had then lied about how it would take to get our new tire. So weird especially considering this shop is right next to the corporate headquarters. Discount Tire is great; the employees work hard and the customer service is outstanding!

First off. Tires are tires. Discount, Big O.....etc. All the same. By that I mean you can negotiate the cost. How hungry the respective store is to make the sale will determine your luck. I'll explain what happened today to my son's truck which is the same thing I experienced with mine the last 3 times I've bought tires here. My son just came home with $2000+ in Nitto tires for his Dodge Ram. These kids inflated the rear tires to 80psi cold. This is the max pressure for this tire when cold. NOT the running/operating pressure for the hot Arizona streets. As tires heat up, they naturally build pressure on their own by the air inside the tire expanding. Even if it expands by only 1-2 psi, these fools have already inflated them to their max. ANY increase now exceeds the max recommended by the manufacturer. In short, these snot nose kids have no idea what they are doing when installing tires and management is more interested in making the sale then making it safe. read more

Very disappointing experience today. Called yesterday to order 2 new tires - installed by them. Was told they had 2 in stock. Made an appt. for today at 1PM and dropped the car off. At 2 I get a call saying they only had 1 tire in stock but they went to get another (so, they didn't even take my car in for an hour !!). Said to come back in an hour which I did and still not serviced. They took it after another 20 mins. When done I asked if they put the new ones in the back - no, in front (rear wheel drive car should always have the best in rear). Horrible staff! read more

This is follow up to my last review about Discount Tire. Although my last experience was quite terrible and a waste of time. My recent experience was far better in every aspect possible. I went in, in the early afternoon to have my tires replaced and the customer service was very professional and helpful. Also the service manager was very transparent with me about tire prices and the best options for my car. Although service on the car took well over 3 hours and I had wait in a local bar while the work was done. I did get a very good discount for my tires and actually cared about getting the done in a timely manner when it was finally in the service bay. Overall I give this facility a solid 4 out of 5. read more

As per the above review we usually have amazing service at all the Discount Tire centers we have used over the past 25 years. We use Discount for all of our family vehicles. The service we received today December 17, 2024 was sub par and very disappointing to say the least. This was the store right next to Discount Tires Corporate Headquarters 20555 N. Scottsdale Rd 85255. We dropped off our car today at 10:30 am per the appointment app. My wife had a nail in the drivers side rear tire and we made that clear when we dropped it off. Within an hour we received a text that our car was ready and we came to pick it up. The front desk technician advised us that they removed the tire, dunked it and could not find anything wrong with the tire. My wife walked out with the tech to show him and as he was walking out he said oh I can see the nail from here. They didn't even check the other tires and they took down the wrong information on what tire needed repair. They said they could fix the problem. At 3pm my wife called and asked if the car was ready. No text was received even after 4 hours. They replied the car was ready and my wife had an appointment at 3:30. Upon reaching her destination she noticed the greasy mess that was left all over our light colored leather interior. (See attached photos). She called the store and they offered to clean it up. She had to go back after her appointment. They cleaned the grease off the interior leather with a Clorox wipe. The whole event took most of the day and it was a simple flat repair. We are very disappointed and looking at the other reviews are wondering what happened to Discount Tire. read more

Pretty sure that making an appointment and using the online check in is all a placebo effect. Unless perhaps every person in the waiting room had appointments as well...as everyone continues to have their cars pulled in while mine has been sitting for well over an hour untouched even though I had an appointment. Salt in the wound that this is my second time here in a few days as they spun a lug bolt last time so was unable to perform the tire change (cost a pretty penny to have it drilled out and having to replace the entire hub) Would think that the corporate store would run more efficiently. edit: I bumped up a star as I'm less pissy today and the fact that I respect the company for reaching out and responding read more

About a year ago, I purchased four Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires from Discount Tire at the Oro Valley location (8125 N Oracle Rd). These tires came with a 50,000-mile warranty and are the same model used on the Ford Bronco Sport Badlands. Unfortunately, one tire started separating and went flat at under 20,000 miles. I returned to the store expecting warranty support. The manager informed me the tire had been discontinued, which surprised me--because I had just seen it listed and available for order on Discount Tire's own website the night before. I had actually held off ordering online to give them the chance to handle it locally. This made me question the value of their warranty. In the end, I was told the tire couldn't be replaced, and I had to buy four new tires of a different brand. They also sell an extended warranty called a "Certificate," but I would be cautious about that as well--what good is a warranty if the tire is "discontinued" and they won't honor it? Now, to be fair: the staff was polite, the waiting room was clean, and for a walk-in on a busy day, a 3-hour turnaround is pretty reasonable. They work hard, and I appreciated their professionalism. But based on how my warranty situation was handled, I would advise potential customers to read the fine print and ask a lot of questions--especially about what happens if your tire "disappears" from the system. read more

A Quick 5 star review for the Discount tire on Scottsdale Road just North of the 101. This morning I got a low pressure alarm on my F-150 Lightning while taking my wife for her Cancer Treatment at Mayo. Being an EV pickup it takes special Michaleans. In the 2 or 3 miles from Happy Valley to the store the pressure went from 28 psi to 10. I left it there for repair and Uber'ed to appointment Two hours later the was repaired at no charge. These where OEM tires, not from Discount repaired at no charge. I will be back for a full set when these wear down. A special thanks to everyone at the store. Ethan showed me all my options noting that the tires were not in stock but would be available the following day. He called me at 9:10 AM the next day and told me my tires were delivered. Front Desk Customer Service needs an overhaul. I like Discount Tires, my whole family shops Discount Tires but this site's service front desk service majorly disappoints. I checked in a 11:15am Saturday to have tires (purchased the night before) installed on my daughter's car. I was checked in at 11:15am by a guy named Kelsey. I gave him the keys, the receipt and explained the tires need to be installed. I figure they'll get to it rather soon, even though they seemed busy, people are coming in behind me. Another guy, Ethan calls me up to the counter at 11:40am and proceeds to ask the same questions. So basically, I sat in the waiting area for 25 minutes without being placed in the queue. So, I am told it will be up to a 2 hour wait. My daughter gets a check in text message at 12.15pm from DT. Seems like a distracting ploy. Never again at this site. read more
