    I called and spoke w Greg (maybe Craig) on Tuesday. I explained in detail about a howling noise that was coming from the rear end of our a Cayenne and told him it was time for an oil change as well. Greg asked if I could leave the vehicle that day w him and I told him it was our only vehicle and we could not. Greg said let's schedule an appointment for Wednesday, where we could stay and wait for it, and so we did. When we arrived Greg said it would be a little over an hour to change the oil and drive the Cayenne, so they could give us Sun Devil Autos opinion on what was wrong w the rear end (wheel bearings etc) After 2+ hours of waiting, Greg told me he didn't have time to have someone drive the car to the next stop light and back. It was the entire reason we chose his company. I told Greg I'd be willing to wait another 5-10 minutes, if someone could drive the vehicle now. Greg told me only one person could do that and he didn't have the time to stop doing what he was doing to drive the car 5 for minutes. Greg would not follow through on what he promised. Horrible customer service.

Instead, over the course of three months, my vehicle was severely disabled by a team unable to perform the level of work they undertook--and those errors were later protected by another team under the same franchise rather than corrected. This matter is now under a formal Better Business Bureau complaint: BBB Case ID #: 24357302 (Filed 01/06/2026) Locations & Management Involved Big O Tires - Cave Creek 5355 E Carefree Hwy, Building C Cave Creek, AZ 85331 Store Manager: Kris Maxie Big O Tires - Phoenix 21029 N Cave Creek Rd Phoenix, AZ 85024 Store Manager: Jeff Hunter General Manager (both locations): Blade Bush Regional Manager: Mike Sharpe Serious Safety, Repair, and Oversight Failures As a woman in my 60s doing the best I can without a mechanical background, I trusted Big O Tires to act competently and ethically. Instead, I experienced repeated misrepresentation of repairs, dismissal of safety concerns, and pressure to accept incomplete or incorrect work. I am deeply concerned this conduct may affect other customers. Documented issues include: * Wrong transmission fluid was used; this was not acknowledged when a new transmission was presented as "necessary," omitting the true cause * Transmission replacement forced me into an extended rental car * Vehicle shudders violently when AC is on, making it feel unsafe * AC compressor was under warranty, yet I was charged for a new one * Compressor replacement was double-billed and immediately followed by severe shaking * Work was performed involving airbag systems * I was later told Big O does not handle airbags due to lack of certification * I was also told airbag work had been performed by a non-certified technician * Warning lights were repeatedly dismissed and later tied to airbags not functioning * Steering components were left unsafe, including screws not replaced and later described as hazardous * Vehicle returned with missing or unsecured hardware, including an engine protection plate left hanging * Horn and cruise control failures were not properly repaired * Multiple return visits were required due to errors from work performed the prior day; many visits were not documented * An incorrect belt was installed, causing the vehicle to break down and require towing * When I requested safety issues be resolved, I was instead offered an oil change * At the Cave Creek location, the manager was frequently not on site, and vehicles appeared to be worked on without direct supervision * I was told management knew errors were occurring but could be fixed--yet they were not * All warning lights remain on * Although verbally stated to be "safe," this is my only transportation and I have lost all trust. I am taking my life on the freeway in a vehicle ablaze with warning lights I was told to "monitor." Lack of Corporate Response * I contacted the Big O consumer complaint line on 11/23 * No one from corporate or regional management contacted me * I was given a $700 check for non-certified airbag work, which felt less like a resolution and more like being told to go away--while my vehicle remained unsafe Financial Impact Between transmission replacement, repeated repairs, towing, rental car costs, and related expenses, the financial impact exceeds $18,000, yet the vehicle remains unresolved and unsafe. Final Statement I trusted this company because I am not a mechanic and relied on their professional expertise. Instead, my car was compromised by work beyond the team's capabilities, and those failures were protected rather than corrected. This is not professionalism. This is not accountability. This is not acceptable. Shame on you!

The repair on my car was unacceptable from start to finish…read more * The bumper had obvious fitment issues, chips in the paint, and the color didn't match. * My car sat there for weeks like this, yet no one contacted me or my insurance company about the problem. * When I went to pick up my "completed" repair and pointed out the poor work, the manager tried to tell me bumpers are "like Lego parts and don't always fit right." (For the record, Legos always fit together, and as someone raised around cars, I know that excuse is nonsense.) * After I pushed back, they finally admitted there was a fitment issue and reached out to my insurance, who approved the OEM bumper. * Even with approval in hand, the shop called me back and said they wouldn't finish the job because they'd "lose money." So not only did they deliver sloppy work, they admitted the issue, got the solution approved, and then refused to complete the repair. This shop puts profits over customers, cuts corners, and does not stand by their work. Avoid them at all costs.

Took less than the 10 business days we were quoted, and within $200 of original estimate. (They found one add'l piece that had been damaged, under the bumper where it wasn't visible, needed replacement. They did inform us of the possibility when we got estimate.) According to paperwork, used all OEM parts, and they matched the 10 year old red paint perfectly! Would definitely use them again- but I hope it will be a while until I need to do so...

Not only is he a superb mechanic whose work I trust completely and whose prices…read moreare very reasonable, he also clearly cares about his customers in a truly genuine way I've rarely seen elsewhere. I mentioned offhand to him that I was in the market for a "new" used car, and he actually went out of his way to give me thoughtful, thorough advice and help me think through some of my options (for no extra charge), which was really nice of him! I ended up buying one of the cars he suggested (a Subaru Outback) and it's served me very well. Also, when I brought the same car into his shop for a 60k mile maintenance tune-up, he said that he saw a tiny leak from one spot on the undercarriage -- something that he definitely didn't think was a big issue yet, but just something for me to keep an eye on. I was impressed by both his attention to detail and his honesty; I have no doubt that many mechanics either wouldn't have noticed the leak in the first place, or would have pressured me to let them fix it on the spot so they could charge me extra, regardless of how "necessary" it might have been at that time. I'm so glad that's not how Jeremy runs his business! (Also, as a side note, it was a pleasant surprise to notice about a 10% improvement in gas mileage after the tune-up!) Bottom line, I really appreciate both Jeremy's expertise and how much he puts his customers first. 100% recommended!
