The shop is a small shop, but quaint, in a pretty congested area. Easy to drive into and there usually is a parking space available, surprisingly. The seating area is small but cool. We originally brought our vehicle in due to an oil leak (originally thought it was a transmission fluid leak) and because our gas tank was giving us issues when adding fuel. They were very efficient and were able to identify the problems the same day we dropped off the vehicle. We eventually picked up our vehicle the next day but only because the dealership was late on delivery one of the parts. When I went to pick up my car the total cost for labor and parts seemed very reasonable based on previous experience and some research. Unfortunately, a few days later the issue with adding fuel to our car appeared again. I figured since we just had the issue looked at, we may as well see if the issue persists after another attempt to fill our car with fuel (~1 week later). The issue was still there and so we decided to call and take our car back. They were able to fit us into their schedule the next business day, thankfully, to address the issue. After a few hours of them having the vehicle they were able to identify the issue was stemmed form a faulty/bad fuel pump. They were kind enough to fix the issue and not charge any additional cost to us considering we had already paid for the first visit. I'm glad we took the vehicle back to them and allowed them the opportunity to address the issue. We will definitely be using Medina Automotive for all our future car maintenance needs. After driving 3 days to get to Phoenix from New Orleans I decided it would be a good idea to have my car checked out before making the long drive back. I stopped in this place and they said they could see me the following day at 2:00. When I went back they took my car right away. They discovered a number of problems on my '07 Honda Pilot, including the fact that my rear brakes were completely worn. They ordered a couple of needed parts (after getting my okay) and did a thorough job of fixing my car in about 2 hours. These guys seem straightforward and honest with reasonable prices. Hello Everyone, Ernesto helped me. I had gotten pulled over for a faulty right head light. Needed a certified mechanic to sign off on my traffic citation repair order from highway patrol. After he checked out my car lights he assured me I could drive my Ford Flex again. I had put the new lights in from autozone myself. First of all I have been dealing with what I thought was a decent honest shop for the past ten plus years and each car That needed work would leave this shop worse than when it came in. The first major incident is when they fixed my clutch and I almost was killed the clutch would not shift while on the freeway. I brought it back and the problem according to ernesto was their fault. My entire family use to deal with this company until after a service from them and taking the car somewhere else that actually will tell you the truth about what needs to be done the repairs were not done right. The last car I brought to ernesto and his shop left with a gas smell come to find out through other shop my fuel pump was punctured. Donot bring your car here if you care about your car and rely on honesty. I will be following up with the Better Business Bureau I am sure I am not the only one they have done this to. read more

Mrdina's Automotive: I contacted Firestone to remove, purge contaminates and replace my A/C refrigerant. I found in my opinion the price was high; however I thought Firestone is a good company. I talked to a friend who said that is a bit high and told me about Medina's Automotive. Medina's quoted half what Firestone quoted. Consequently, I went to Medina's Automotive. My first impression: Ernesto Medina has a lot of cars being worked on. That was a good sign that his business draws a lot of clients, however, I wondered when am I going to get my vehicle into be worked. Ernesto was very friendly, and he got my car in right away. His shop staff multitasks well. I had the refrigerant removed. He only charged me half the quoted amount, where as Firestone wanted the full amount and gave me one year to come back, and after that on year, I would pay the full amount again. Mr. Medina only charged me on work performed that day. I installed myself a new compressor and the Dryer. Had the system flushed and recharged. The A/C worked well for a few days. Then, the air wasn't as cool. I took it back to Medina's and he checked to see if there were any leaks for a green dye was added and he checked pressure, and he charge me nothing and found no leaks. I did the O'rings right :(. I had replaced the compressor, but I knew now that the condenser had to be replaced too. So I asked Mr. Medina if I could have him remove and replace refrigerant again at the same price. Ernesto replied that he is not going to hit me with the same price but only charge half amount, that is, not charge me this time for A/C removal and only charge for another recharge.
