WARNING:: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I was there just yesterday and within 5minutes from the shop releasing my car saying it was repaired when it wasn't and billing me over $1800 for a water pump, thermostat and expansion tank cap. Which was not needed at all. for I had come in with a specific request, to start with a 'transfer case' fluid flush/refill and then if problem was not gone, to see about replacing the parts in it or complete 'transfer case' removal as is making the car grind down the gears and has become a real problem, my 2008 BMW X3 was serviced by a Mesa shop on Main Street last week having all fluids at normal levels and not LOW as Service Manager ( Kameron ) who is a real sweet talker but has zero customer service knowledge or class, straight lied about what was wrong with my car, even asked for the $1851.35 up front. What a scammer this dude is my friends. A lawsuit maybe forecoming due to crimes of fraudulent statements and activities performed on my car that were not needed. Problem still there and I am out of $1851.34 These folks have no concept of legal responsibility and outcomes with this behavior, therefore having me write this intricate review against the shop. Wishing the owner Mr Babbitt call me to straighten this unfortunate event with his crew running scams at the Tempe location. Only if owner reverses the charge to my VISA would I consider negotiating a recourse or writing a new review that can prove this folks can fix a car. You got my cell phone and my $1851.34 Do call me Mr Bobbitt. Also the expansion tank and cap they say they replaced, was never shown to me. They said it had a crack. Last week, my iDrive stated that my car may have a possible oil leak. Went to the dealership to get a diagnostic, and sure enough, a part underneath my car needed replacement to stop the oil leak. I was referred to Babbitt Motor Werks through a friend from a local BMW car club and so happy that I found this shop! Called the shop to get a quote and was happily assisted by Kameron, the Service Manager. He was very professional and transparent in pricing, which was substantially lower than what the dealership quoted me. Brought my car into the shop and Kameron was helpful in letting me know what needed to get fixed. They were able to complete the repairs quickly for a much more reasonable price. Jen and the staff at Babbitt are awesome. I originally found them about a year ago when I needed to have an oil filter housing gasket replaced. I called Babbitt and their price was less than half of what Chapman BMW had quoted me. Recently I needed to have a fuel pump and oil leak repaired. Jen let me know exactly what needed to be done, and the expected time frame. Although it wasn't an inexpensive repair, it was still much more affordable than going to a dealership. Ripped off. Charged $74 to install a lightbulb. Jen said its because someone tried to install it beforehand - only the trap door had been removed. Said it took 1.5 hour labor to install the bulb. Said they had to remove the bumper to install the bulb. Both lies. I checked the bumper, it hasn't ever been removed. I get needing to make a profit, but their credibility is gone. The BS story means I will never go back, and will spread the word about the dishonesty. read more

I was an out of state potential buyer of an e46 M3 in the Phoenix area. Before flying out to see the car myself, I wanted an experienced independent BMW shop to inspect it. I reached out to BabbitMotorWerks in Scottsdale and worked with Kameron, the service manager, to perform a PPI (pre-purchase inspection). I've had multiple PPI's done in the past for previous car purchases. The experience I have with Kameron and BabbitMotorWerks is the best I've had thus far. Every time I called, Kameron answered, remembered who I was and was extremely customer focused. Being very mechanically inclined myself, I was exceptionally happy with the level of detail at which the car was inspected. Knowing how thorough the inspection was provided me the comfort I needed to know the exact condition of the car and negotiate a fair price. Upon flying to AZ to complete the transaction, I was very happy to see the car in the exact condition I expected. As I was using a auto transport company to transport the car to NY, Kameron and BabbitMotorWerks were gracious enough to offer to store the car for me from the time I completed the transaction to when the truck came for pick-up. The level of communication and customer service I received from Kameron throughout the entire process was second to none. I got an alignment at the Tempe location on Scottsdale Road and the mechanic exited my vehicle and handed me my keys with greasy hands and clothes. My seats were not covered with the normal plastic cover or the floor covered with the standard paper. I got in my car and noticed there was what appeared like a large dirt ring on my passenger seat where something was obviously placed and at the time I wasn't sure if I saw scuff. As I drove off I noticed the steering wheel was a little off to the left. Upon returning they were open to driving and making sure it was correct. I have no gripes out their friendliness, customer service or repairs in that regard. When receiving my car the second time I noticed there was a screw driver sitting in my passenger seat I realized there were thin scratches on my bolster which were not there and all I could think about was that screw driver. Further into the drive I looked at my steering wheel and noticed that it was scratched and chipped as well, being meticulous about my car I know these damages weren't there before. I am left with 3-4 scratches in my bolster ($30-$100 depending on the service), the steering wheel damage ($107.00 plus shipping) and would love to complain but am afraid my car would be damaged more in the process of them fixing it. It is the small things you do to make sure you customer's car is taken car of that complete the experience and my experience has left me holding a bill for repairs that could have been avoided with some care and the right precautions. read more

We have had BMW's for the past 10 years and after a first and last terrible experience with the dealer we got lucky enough to find Babbit. Usually price and quality dictate my choice in auto repair but I can honestly say that Babbit's customer service makes it all worth it. Just got a brake flush today at which time they changed my wife's brake light for free, topped her oil for free and finished the job all in 20 minutes! Our 128i broke down in June then again with the same symptoms in July. We had three mechanics work on the car and threw over $1000 into parts and labor. We finally had it towed to Babbit and Cameron and his crew figured out the root cause of the problem and we were back o the road for lass than $300. I have taken my car to the BMW dealership, and some other independent shops in Phoenix that I don't even want to mention their names since they don't compare to Babbitt Motor Werks... not only they are patient and courteous, but they are really knowledgable. I've actually been using Babbitt for about 3 years at 3 different locations. I'm not exactly sure what they do to encourage a great customer experience but in all 3 locations the guy who assisted me was wonderful! Very friendly and knowledgeable, in the recent visit Kameron returned my call when I first called to get a quote as promised and he arranged a way for me to pick it up when they were closed. Not only did he leave me a voicemail when it was ready, along with the pick up details, but he texted me too, just to make sure I received the critical information because they had changed. That was exceptional customer service, most would have left it at the voicemail. They're prices have always been more competitive than the BMW dealer, even though they are a certified BMW service center... then add on their great customer service, I don't know why anyone with a BMW would go anywhere else?!
