I took my car into Firestone at 241 W. Osborn for an oil change and regular maintenance. They installed a new battery and they couldn't get the car alarm to turn off. I told them I lost the remote but the alarm was never an issue when I had batteries replaced there before. The store manager, Daryl Sander, said the car was ready to go. The alarm was blaring. I said I'm supposed to drive my car like that? With the alarm blaring? Daryl Sander shrugged at me and said yes. After insistence from my husband and me that having the alarm blaring all the time was unacceptable, we were told to leave the car overnight and a tech would fix the alarm the next morning. So the next morning they tell me the car is ready. What did they do? They cut the alarm wire to the speaker. So the alarm is still going all the time but it can't be heard. Daryl Sander is the worst person I have ever dealt with there. How in the world is he a manager?? We are pursuing a new alarm system being installed at Firestone's expense since they ruined the current alarm. DO NOT GO TO THIS FIRESTONE UNLESS YOU ARE OKAY WITH THEM WRECKING YOUR VEHICLE. Don't let Daryl Sander anywhere near your vehicle. He is terrible. read more

I've been coming to this Firestone for about 3 years. In general, I've been giving Firestone my business since I purchased my 1st vehicle right after high school. Needless to say, I am loyal to the brand and the service. A little while back, I had breaks done. I drove off and everything was fine. Later that night I went to pick up my husband and as I drove, I heard a clicking noise start. I new it wasn't good but kept going because the car still ran. Got to my husband and he had the car towed all the way from Glendale back to this Firestone. Turns out someone didn't tighten up everything and by some miracle, the wheel didn't fall all the way off. My husband talks to the manager and they come to an agreement to fix what they messed up. People make mistakes right? Let's fast forward to my experience in the last two months. I have my oil changed every 3k miles or so. The last oil change I had was about 2 months ago. The diagnostic check came back that I my battery was low and would soon need to be changed. I figured that was about right since I had AAA change it 5 years ago when I moved to Phoenix. I tell my husband not to worry about it and we'll have AAA change it when it dies. So, this past Saturday the battery dies. We call AAA to bring a new one. A little history on AAA.... when they change your battery there is a nice warranty that is valid throughout the US. If something goes wrong with the battery within the 1st 3 years, it's free. If something goes wrong after in the next 3 year, a new battery is half price. Ok... back to my experience... so the AAA guy comes out and says "this battery is not the right size for your car". I hear him say as I comfortably sit in the driver seat while my hubby does the man thing. I jumped out the car and was ready to go off because I know AAA changed the battery last. I stopped and gave a puzzled look toward the battery. My husband asks me what's wrong. I noticed that my lovely AAA battery is not there. There is a Firestone green top and white base Interstate Battery barely holding on in my car. How do I know it's a Firestone Battery? Well, I looked it up! They advertise it on their coupons. I tell my husband, "I don't know who's battery that is but it ain't mine!" We go back and forth about it... I'll spare you all the convo details but know that the battery didn't fit, was the wrong type, was leaking, and showed signs of burning along the side. I don't know what I did to these people at Firestone, but I need them to stop trying to kill me. The least you could've done is give me the right battery for my damn car in exchange for the obviously awesome battery that one of your team members took. When I changed my battery 5 years ago, my hubby wasn't around so he didn't know about my AAA battery. Just as I was loyal to Firestone for so many years, I have been AAA battery fan just as long. There is never another battery in my cars except the one that came from the dealer. Some may say... how do you know it was them? Well, my car is only serviced at this location. The only other place my car has been away from my husband or myself has been at the car detail shop. Unless, the detail shop keeps janky Firestone batteries handy..... My warning to you is be careful when going to this location for service. I know all the Firestone locations aren't the same so we'll try another. I miss my location in Santa Monica, CA. read more

When you tell a customer an hour and a half, I get that sometimes it takes a little longer. Dropped off my truck for an oil change, tire rotation, and complete inspection. I go for a walk and eat lunch and return an hour and 15 minutes later and my truck is sitting in the exact same place. I'm like "ok, maybe it's done." Nope. I mention that it's been sitting for an hour and a half and they apologize saying they'll get the oil change done in 15 minutes so obviously they weren't even busy. NOT TO MENTION, they said it would take another hour to do the inspection and rotation that I paid for. Will never be back. Come here if you want your vehicle to be forgotten about and take three times as long as it should. read more

So disappointed. Had a road trip coming up and made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. Arrived 10 minutes early. The man in line in front of me needed to get a tire changed with no appointment and was told that they would "push something back" to fit him in. Apparently I was the "something" because I was told that they were short staffed and my oil change would take 3 hours. No phone call to warn me that it would take this long, no apology, nothing. Went somewhere else. I totally get that sometimes things happen that cannot be avoided causing schedules to change, but the true test of a company's worth is how they handle those situations. Brought vehicle in for oil change. Manager calls asking if I want additional service on my vehicle, i.e. changing battery, wipers, etc. Informed him that we only want the oil change and he becomes defensive. Angrily states the vehicle is ready to be picked up. 45 minutes later another technician calls stating the vehicle is ready as soon as I am about to leave the house. Why call twice? The next few days, the vehicle is taking longer and longer to start. Take it to the dealership and they replace it stating the battery was drained and damaged. Start to think that because I turned down the offer to replace a perfectly good battery, they decided to damage mine. Whoever is in charge over there is ruining the good reputation of Firestone as I never had any issues before this. Karma is you know what. read more

fastest oil change I've ever had lol well done guys! Hands down best experience. Ever.

These guys usually do a good job for routine maintenance and inspections, I trusted them. However, this week I brought in a car and asked them to diagnose why the A/C compressor wasn't engaging. I had just replaced the blower motor resistor but there was no cool air, I knew I'd need a freon recharge but I noticed there was no compressor activity at all. I checked the fuses, the ones with windows looked fine. So I asked Firestone to figure it out. Also asked them to do a full inspection of the car for a general status of the whole car. I paid $50 for the AC diagnostic and $10 for the overall inspection (a steal of a good deal, could be temporary, dunno). When they called me back, they had done a really great job on the full inspection, but their AC diagnostic result was, "it's electrical". What? "Your fuses look fine but you must have a short somewhere, we're too expensive to do electrical for you, take it to a car electrician." So I did. The other place I went to found that the electrical is fine. "Your compressor isn't engaging because there's no pressure because you have a leak." So, Firestone's $50 AC diagnostic was a total waste. So basically, come for tires and oil changes, but don't come for things that require too much diagnostic skill. read more

First foray to this place: they drained the differential fluid out of my car, thinking it was the oil- and then filled the tank they just drained with oil. Whaaa? Needed a tow to the dealership. Several years later: a simple two hour replace of an alternator becomes a five hour fiasco. Engine taken apart and lots of head scratching. Sitting here hostage. My husband and I love this auto care place. We typically do weekend oil changes here and the staff is just so kind, warm, welcoming--and most importantly--helpful. This place was actually recommended when I dropped off my Mazda for an oil change at the dealership's service. The person said this place not only better service/quality, but cheaper. And he was right. I have a 2008 Mazda and my husband has a 2013 Hyundai, and we've been coming here for three years. Since we come here so often for oil changes or any car issues, we have the premiere gold membership. It was free, because we come here so often so we always get complimentary offers with our oil change/auto care services. For instance, I had an oil change this weekend and the guy over the phone asked about my mileage (130,000 -- yeek!) and said that that there was free tire rotation with that. Awesome. So I make the appointment at 10 a.m., go see a movie and run a few errands, and the car is ready for pick up when I'm done with the day. Easy. (Typically the oil changes take less than an hour... we just like to get stuff done on weekend mornings.) What I also like about this place is that they don't pressure you about something you don't want done. For instance, they found that I needed a new battery with my oil change. Since I have AAA and a purchased battery with them, I told them about my warranty. They were like, "Great, see you next time... just keep that in mind in the future." And just looking at the reviews... I don't know what these people are talking about when it comes to customer service. The customer service is probably what I love best about this place. My last two experiences have been terrible at this Firestone on 3st and Osborn. I went in to have my tires rotated and wheel alignment and waited an hour and 15 minutes to get told they did not do anything to my car. I was told that my tires need to be replaced. They came up with all kinds of excuses as to why I waited on my car this long, and not be told nothing was done. Each time I brought in my car I was given the runaround , they forgot to check the battery and mark off things they checked that they did not. Poor service, they overbook and do not respect the customer's time. The whole waiting room was upset with them today. They have lost my business. read more

Went in on a Saturday to get an oil change and knew it was probably going to be busy. Was told they couldn't get me in but could give me an appointment tomorrow. I said that's fine. Came in next day 10 minutes before the appointment, same guy helping me made me wait 20 minutes before he could take my keys. A half hour after my appointment time, my car had not moved. In addition their waiting room is a joke. They have a tv that's not working or does not have a remote. They have a nice coffee machine with no cups set out and no coffee. Same with water filter, looks like it was set up the day they got it and it's never been used. Disappointed that I made an appointment rather than going somewhere else and I never felt valued and still got the treatment as though I walked in off the street. read more

Quick service. I took my car in for a simple oil change and they had it back to me within the hour. When it came time for the bill, they gave me a sale price that is apparently a current coupon only special, but the employee stated that they don't make customers seek out the coupons and Firestone will honor it anyway. Then, they charged me two dollars less than that. Must be my lucky day. read more

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. I've been here twice (should have learned after the first time) and both times they were absolutely awful. Both times I had made an appointment to have my oil changed. I drop it off and they assure me they'll have it done by a predetermined time. The first time I dropped it off on my lunch break and returned an hour later, the second time I dropped it off around noon and said I would return after work at 5. Both times I was assured it would be done. Both times I returned to pick up my vehicle and ended up waiting FOR AN HOUR while they finished. In the second instance, I wasn't aware it takes over 5 hours to complete an oil change. Once I finally got my car back, I discovered that they hadn't even bothered to turn my check engine light off. Don't go here unless you're prepared to wait a ridiculous amount of time only to receive a shrug and a half-hearted apology instead of prompt service. read more

Made an appointment and dropped off my car at 6am for a transmission flush. No calls all day from them and I called at 5pm and they had not gotten to my car yet. I went and picked up my car with no services rendered and wasted a day off from work. Their only explanation was 'sorry we couldn't get to it'. I don't really like auto places because I feel that they're whole job is to make you scared by telling you minor things (that they blow up) about your car, soooooo you can pay more than what you need. With that super long sentence being said... These people are freakin cool. I came here early in the morning because I'm busy and needed a oil change quick. Also the pricing was right. I'm a college student ballin' on a college budget. They only charged me 30 bucks in and out less than a hour and friendly. They weren't mean or pushy. I generally hate doing things that involve repairing my car because it's annoying to have to work with people you feel are just trying to get the most money out of you that they can. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming, kind, and they just seemed like honest people. They explained the cost of everything in detail, were okay when I refused some extra services, gave me their recommendations for additional services but they were never pushy. My technician saw me putting things in my car as I was leaving and took the time to walk out of the service area to the parking lot and asked if I had any questions about the car since he was the one who worked on it. Their prices are extremely reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I am now their loyal customer. Thank you for being so awesome :) read more

Avoid Firestone at all possible costs. I purchased a set of tires from them with the extended warranty. Ever since I left the store I have been having issues with the front left tire showing low air. I keep coming back to Firestone every 2 weeks when the low air indicator comes on and every time they have a new "excuse" on how this is totally normal with weather changes or it just needs to be topped off. Stay away. They will tell you about their national network of shops and customer service excellence but that is nothing more than a thin sales pitch in my opinion. I have had less than a stellar experience with them, needlessly. read more

Will never go back there... Had $455 worth of work done. Can started running bad. Told them it started after they worked on it. They came back saying my coil was bad. Another $255 they wanted. I Said NO. Bought one put it on myself. Still ran bad. Come to find out, they didn't plug in a spark plug wire they originally put on. I truely belive they knew what they did. The employees Sarah and Tim were very kind with all the consumers that came in and answered all my questions. Service times were very reasonable as well as price. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because they gave me a higher price for a service. Tim quoted me for a lifetime wheel adjust for $199, which is the regular price. However, another Firestone location informed me that all Firestone locations are having an event the weekend of me writing this for $40 off the lifetime alignment, which Tim was either not aware of, or failed to mention to me. Was quoted $973 for a service that Goodyear was able to do for half of that.. had a tough time explaining the reason as to why I was quoted so high. Was ready to price match as soon as I mentioned my other quote. Rip off? I believe so. Nick the district manager was the person I spoke to and he seemed to know little to nothing about how to handle this situation. Supposedly he was the one who quoted me that price but was willing to drop $350 immediately when a lower quote was mentioned. VERY glad I didn't get my car taken care of there. Extremely shady each worker I spoke to was giving me different information as to the price. Fire the entire staff and restart. read more

Went there for an oil change. They knew I wouldn't ever do business with them again, as I told them I was driving back to Dallas. I asked them to check everything, and they recommended that I get my tires rotated at my next oil change. They could have easily just done it themselves and made an extra $20, so it shows that they're one of the rare, honest mechanics. Wish I could find a place like this back home. This is the only place where I can trust the techs. I would have given a 5 star but the times I've been waiting took longer than usual even after I have set up an appointment online. Nonetheless, as long as I get the quality service I'm satisfied. I drive 15 miles to this location because they know what they are doing. I take my car for alignments since its lifetime. I am gradually migrating away from Firestone and doing more servicing on my vehicle on my own or with the help of friends. The good about this Firestone- technicians are very knowledgeable, they share useful information about my vehicle, the hours are convenient, the advice is helpful. The bad- The staff at this firestone seems to turn over pretty frequently. There have also been numerous times where I have had to return with my vehicle because the person working on the vehicle did not alert me to another issue that had come up while they were working on it. On my Jeep, the idler on my power steering pump was not replaced when they did the pump... it's now missing and I cannot figure out or find the time to get them to show me how they managed to get the "correct"(?) tension on the serpentine belt with it missing and I have to wonder when my Jeep needs a belt next just what it is I am going to do. I find also that they are EXTREMELY busy at all times and almost everything is such a long wait that there are times where I go in anticipating that I will be spending my entire day there for an oil change- anything more I can easily assume I'm just going to be leaving my vehicle overnight but there are numerous times that even doing that I call midday the next day to check on the progress to find out that the technician assigned to my vehicle is not going to be available until the next day to even get started... in fact today I sent my wife in for an oil change and inspection her appointment was at 11:00 and it is now 3:45 and they are just now starting the inspection. It sounds like it is possible that they got hung up because my wheels are equipped with "wheel locks" which actually do not require a special socket, and even ignoring this I do not see evidence that when it was discovered that the vehicle may need the special tool (again, it doesn't) that anyone tried to contact me or my wife until I called in asking what was taking so long. Once I explained the situation I was told they would call me back in a few minutes. I waited 40 minutes before calling back, was told the wheels were off and they were getting started on the inspection. Firestone still has my business because I have a line of credit with them in case of an emergency with my vehicle, and they still have my business because the experiences I have had with them are still less negative than many of the other shops I have gone to. If I had any advice to you it would be to stay on top of your vehicle maintenance and ensure that you have at least 1 day of lead time to get simple work done and at least 2 days lead time for anything more complicated. read more

These guys were very helpful and professional. I had bought a Interstate battery last summer in Santa Cruz and my VW inspection said it was done. Of course, VW wanted me to pay 200 for a new one, but thankfully Firestone carries the brand and just have to pay the 15 for a replacement. Adam gives a great costumer service. I like this place because is convenient and for its service. I got my spare tire stolen (be aware there is a high demand of aluminum) of my jeep and came to buy a tire for my used wheel, Santana gave me a set of lock nobs that he had around.
