My car died and wouldn't start up again. I had to get it towed to somebody who would look at late on a Saturday afternoon. They said they would look at it and let me know what was wrong. They didn't tell me that the diagnostic would cost $27. They replaced my alternator (everything seems OK now). Total cost (including the diagnostic) was $531. That seems a little pricey to me. Seriously, I HAVE to give this business at least 1 star? Ridiculous. I would give it no stars. Never would I ever come back to this Firestone. The name "complete auto care" is a joke within itself. Dishonest, unprofessional, and horrible customer service! Here is a timeline of the events. - DAY 1 I arrived late on a Sunday and asked the attendant how long an oil change would take. He said he wouldn't be able to take any more cars in as they were closing in an hour. I completely understood. So, he made an appointment for me the following day later in the afternoon. - DAY 2 I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment after work. I requested that they also examine and find the root of the "rattling" noise coming from the hood. It took them 1 hour just to finish a standard oil change. Then, he recommends that the alternator/generator OR the water pump needed to be replaced to resolve the rattling sounds, but they will know for sure once the "expert tech" listens to it carefully. I said okay, just give me an estimate of the costs. They literally tell me the alternator is the issue, so they go ahead and replace it. BUT, the sound is still coming! I had to diagnose the issue myself by researching it on YouTube. The problem was rooted in the water pump not the alternator. These so-called mechanics need more expertise and training. I work in an energy/services industry, and our techs are trained in a long duration program to make sure they are skilled in every aspect. These Firestone mechanics don't know what they are talking about. I HAD to use my research and diagnose this car issue. He agreed that I was right, and that the water pump replacement would come in the next day. I was there for 3 hours just to add. -DAY 3 I really didn't want to come here AGAIN, third day in row. Since Dominique was off that day, but Paul the tech was, she consulted with him as to what happened the day before. The so called mechanic, Paul, examined the car for a full hour and COULD NOT pinpoint the root of the solution. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! She tells me there is no solution and NOW the compressor was the issue and the next steps would be a dealership and would cost me around $1800!!! Conflicting answers from each person!!! I will be calling the HQ and filing complaints, and I will give you a poor rating on every single ratings/reviews network. read more

I needed a quick flat tire repair, but instead was coerced into purchasing a new tire. I thought this was bad form on their part. I can't speak for the service because I never received any! In June 2015, I walked into the lobby waiting to be serviced because I was interested in paying for an inspection on my vehicle for registration purposes. There was only one customer ahead of me so I figured I'll wait patiently while the employee services him. Not once did this employee NOT acknowledge my presence with a "hello" or "I'll be with you shortly" or even with any eye contact. I waited nearly 15 minutes before I walked out because I felt insulted for not being acknowledged. I find it strange that an employee can virtually ignore a perspective customer for no reason by not acknowledging them. That's not a productive way of doing business when you have a customer willing to pay for your services. I'm not one to first cry racism when feeling slighted (I'm black) but I can't help but wonder whether racism was a factor. read more

The problem we have is still NOT FIXED...They keep going around the problem and blaming us....They dont know what they are doing!! Beware they will not do just what you tell them too. Brought in work truck for another store just to get some brake pads on to get through a couple days until its returned. Waited over a hour to be told a laundry list of problems, some known. Refused to put pads claiming safety issues. Explained to him ill just take it and let the other store deal with it. Guy tried to tell me they may not release it because it needs to be towed and is a safety issue. When I was about to call the cops they changed their tune but charged me 15 bucks for a inspection I DIDNT ASK FOR. Terrible read more

so ..one of my tires is indicating needing air...I go to the Firestone location in the 9500 block of Westheimer in Houston...I pull into the lot drive about 3 feet into an open bay..I can see the air hose hanging there...no chain on the bay ..only one open...I get out and ask the older guy in a uniform if I could get some air for my low tire...he goes into a tirade about me being in the service area and that he can't help me and I had better move my car 'right away'....'this is a RESTRICTED AREA'..no offer of help or suggestions that I could use..I back out and he is muttering to me...I drive down the block and across the street to NTB ..pull in a few feet...ask if I can get this tire pumped up...not only do they come to help and pump up the tire..they check the other 3 as well....guess which company we will use in the future...? Sad isn't it, how bent out of shape some folks get with their jobs....they need to work on a farm where they only talk to sheep or cows....no real people... read more

My experience was as good as it gets. I had some problems with grinding inside my front right wheel--something with the bearings. I went to Firestone and had them diagnose the issue. During the diagnosis, there were some bumps in the realm of customer service--not the greatest. Two days later, the parts for my car were ordered and I returned for the final repair. Excellent service. Mike initially helped me install new tires on my vehicle. He not only have me a great price, but finished in a timely manner. I had left my car parked for some time and notice that the tires were low. They took it upon themselves to check all four tires for any punctures and aired all of then accordingly. The oil change was quick. Also they gave me a coupon even though I did not bring one. I will definitely com back here for my oil changes.

I just needed my left rear tire exchanged with my spare until my new tire came in. I called to see if they could do this and they said yes if you come right away it would only take 10 mins. I only live 2 mins away I was there & it took them over 40 mins for this small job. then I get my car & look at the spare they placed on the car & asked store manager if they checked the air pressure. He said yes. I drive home and could fell tire was not inflated properly so I got out my pressure gauge. The spare was only at 20. I called the manager and he said bring it back. Well I did pressure was at 20. if they can't manage to get this simply thing done. I wouldn't trust them with anything major. This is the absolute worst Firestone I have ever been too. Girlfriend stopped in for an inspection and flat repair (under road hazard warranty). Was informed the nail in her tire was too close to the sidewall and they would sell her a new tire, prorated of course, but she'd have to pay for mounting and new road hazard. $56 in total. The nail was actually 2.5 inches from the sidewall, well within the acceptable repair area. Secondly, with no tire wear or pulling of her steering, they recommended a four wheel alignment for $159 as well as a brake fluid flush $90, which tested under firestone's own policies at 100 which is well within the required replacement reading of 300. The service manager / store manager is a slimy person who will attempt to upsale each woman coming through the door to take advantage of them. She left and went down the road to Firestone on Westeimer and Voss and received excellent, friendly service with no upsales. They even fixed the flat, this store said was unrepairable. If you have to go to Firestone, skip this store and go to the one on Voss. Much better, honest personnel. read more

I went to this Firestone Store and James the manager did not want to honor my lifetime alignment, balance, and tire rotation. I had to find my original receipt to get him to agree to this service. James then told me I needed almost a $1000.00 worth of front end work before they could align me wheels. James said I needed new wheel bearings which was false. This place is amazing. The staff is friendly, it seems that the level of service is the same, quick and very professional at any location I visit. The service advisors always make me aware of any maintenance that I am due for and never come off as pushy. I strongly feel that everything that is recommended I truly need, and I like that it's always up to me what I want done. I use to go to ford for my repair and maintenance but I think I found a new shop to service my vehicle. It is a busy location, angel and Jaime made me aware of their Firestone Credt Card that I applied for and although I didn't buy tires today, they've guaranteed me the best price for tires and I will be back soon. read more

Just drove out of this Firestone and had an excellent experience. Leaving work 5:20 i hit a curb and it resulted in a flat tire. I changed the tired and was back on the road at about 5:35. due to the traffic I wasn't able to get to this Firestone until 6:20. I was about to just go home because surely they would be busy and couldn't replace my tire, but I decided to try anyways. There I met James. A very nice gentlemen that proceeded to help me with choosing a tire and ultimately getting my tire changed in no more than 20 minutes. he didn't try to upsale me on any other item that I didn't need/want i.e. Road hazard, more expensive tire, needing to replace tires that didn't need to be replaced. All-in-all James was a nice, honest and courteous employee. Price was reasonable, work was quick, and the service was excellent. What more could you ask for? Maybe I just had a good experience today, but I'll be back again to see if still will uphold to my first experience. Until then.... read more

The passenger side of my car was blowing hot air and the glove compartment was making a clicking noise. I took my car here March 2012. They said my water pump was out and I needed to replace a few hoses which amounted to over $1000. Being naive, I went ahead and did it. A month or two later the clicking noise came back and the hot air continued. I took it back August 2012. They let me know the water pump defaulted and it was still under warranty so they would do the replacement for free. I was happy until the clicking noise and hot air continued. I finally took it back January 2013. I dropped the car off at 8:30 A.M. I called them at noon to make sure it was ready and they let me know they could not find any problems nor could they hear any "clicking noise". I had to tell them to sit in the car let it stay idle and had to tell them what to do. Two hours later they called back saying it was actually my Dual Blend Door Actuator that was out and wanted to charge me $700.00. I said no thanks! All they do is try to over-charge you! read more

I want to compliment the staff of the Firestone Complete Auto Care location at 9529 Westheimer in Houston Texas. My experiences at this location have always exceeded my expectations for customer service and the care of my vehicles. The appearance and cleanliness of the service center is always perfect and that's really important to me. They offer me water or coffee and there's a big TV and comfortable chairs to sit on. It really makes me feel like they want me to be there. You can see through the big window to the garage and you can see the garage is well kept and the men working back there are always moving around and happy like it's good work they're doing. It makes me feel like doing a good job is important to them. Even when I'm there for just a small thing they treat it like it's just as important as someone getting major work done and they're always communicating with me what they're doing.
