It's no wonder WHY Salah's Auto has a 5-star rating... they truly CARE about their customers. They're AMAZING! After bringing our vehicle to a different auto shop and getting a laundry list of issues with a hefty price tag, a friend told us to bring our vehicle to Salah's for his opinion. Did I mention that this was literally a DAY before we were leaving for a TX to NY road-trip??? Nothing like leaving things to the last minute, eh? I was ASTOUNDED that they brought our vehicle into a bay immediately upon arriving. I was further BLOWN AWAY when they had about 5+ guys stop what they were doing and all checking out our vehicle!! After the vehicle was looked over, Salah reported to us that he agreed with most of the items on the "laundry list", one item was unnecessary but also added that our vehicle needed new rear breaks and rotors. They acknowledge you when you come in and and they remember you the moment you walk back in the shop if you've been there before. This is my 1st time ever bringing my 2002 4runner to any mechanic and I was very nervous to leave my baby with just anyone. I picked Salah's only because my husband and ALL of his coworkers have been using them for a decade and have built up a relationship with them. My husband swore to me that Salah and his men would be honest and give us a reasonable deal. My 4runner is 10 years old and over 80k miles put on her, so things were naturally beginning to fall apart. Whenever I was pressing the gas, I would hear a constant squeaking noise as if one of the belts needed changing. It turns out that I had a leak in my radiator, which you could tell had been there for quite some time by looking at all the corrosion that had formed. Poor baby! I don't take good care of her. That leak had messed up my water pump too. Plus, my hubby said the spark plugs were really old and needed changing. Here's the breakdown of what I paid for: $ 398.70 - timing belt kit w/ water pump $ 67.45 - spark plug wire set $ 35.60 - anti freeze OEM (qty 2) $ 248.86 - new radiator $ 505.00 - labor $ 76.83 - supplies, disposal, tax Grand Total: $ 1332.44 My own coworkers were impressed with the total for all the parts and labor. I was impressed that Salah's had kept my car for only one night and also impressed that my 4runner drives like new again. With all the repairs, especially for a 1st time visit to a mechanic, I thought they would've kept my baby longer. The guys at Salah's were also very courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable. I contacted the shop yesterday to find out if they could do a pre-purchase inspection. Elizabeth was really nice and allowed us to come in with the vehicle. We brought the car in about 15 minutes after the call and they had the car on the lift almost immediately. Salah really looked out for us because the car was indeed a lemon. We saved $7000 (cost of the car) by spending $50 for the inspection; so well worth it! The cherry on top was Salah offering to inspect another car for us, free of charge. We took him up on his offer today and brought in another car. This car needed some repairs but we agreed to purchase it after some deliberation. Well, the sheisty dealer sold the car from beneath us, which in hindsight was a blessing in disguise. We took a third car to Salah to inspect (expecting to pay the inspection fee for this one) and he checked it out for free! Salah and his team are truly angels! If you got this far in the review, you understand why it was so important for me to include all these details. Salah went above and beyond to help us out and more importantly, with a smile. I took my car to them, it was making knocking noise while turning, i took it to them , they said there is no issues, the rubber bushes wore out that need not to be changed, unless the noise bothers you. He took it for a drive, then another guy took it for a drive and came back and told me i can drive it as long as i want, the car has 100k miles on it and rubbers are weak but i need not to change them. didnt pay a dime will go there again, and again and again. read more

5 stars! I drove to Houston from Austin and noticed that my oil light was flashing when I applied the brakes. I did a little research on the internet & thought I might need a new oil pressure sensor. I took my car to Salah's on my mom's recommendation. Thanks, Mom! A mechanic greeted me right as I arrived, and I explained my situation to him. He popped my hood and had me run my engine and confirmed that indeed, it was the oil pressure sensor and that it did not need immediate repair. My experience with salah has not been great ! They try to flirt with you , I asked salah to replace my temperature sensor he asked me where is it located ? I asked him "Am I the mechanic or you are ??" . He proceeded to say "if you can tell me where it's located then I will try to fix it . I RAN AWAY AFTER THAT . So I decided to give them a second chance and ask for a look at my car because it kept saying "traction control and stabilit trac" when it rains outside so when I arrived he(SALAH)kept saying his machine is broke . So I waited 3 weeks to return and his machine still not working . He also installed my water pump and weeks later it went out because it didn't replace it correctly . So, I took my car there, It was making clunking noise, they checked for about 20-30 minutes, drove around, and came back and said that they could not find anything and the car run as new. I was surprised, even though they could hear the clunking, they said everything is fine. So I left without paying a dime. I have been going to Salah Automotive for at least 4-5 years, and will never take my vehicles anywhere else. The fact is once again I went to Salah's yesterday, 03/07/22 because I had a Check Engine light, and I was nervous because I start work at 9am, and I arrived about 8:25am. Salah had my car on the analyzer, and they already had sent some one to get the part by no later the 8:45. I thought it was maybe just a spark plug because I had it analyzed at AutoZone near me, however it turned out to be a bad ignition coil, which was unexpected, however Salah let me pay most of it that day with a promise to call him today with the small amount remaining. I have no doubt I got the best price, the BEST Service, I was was at work at 9:30 and only missed 30 minutes of work, now that's fast!
