It's no wonder WHY Salah's Auto has a 5-star rating... they truly CARE about their customers. They're AMAZING! After bringing our vehicle to a different auto shop and getting a laundry list of issues with a hefty price tag, a friend told us to bring our vehicle to Salah's for his opinion. Did I mention that this was literally a DAY before we were leaving for a TX to NY road-trip??? Nothing like leaving things to the last minute, eh? I was ASTOUNDED that they brought our vehicle into a bay immediately upon arriving. I was further BLOWN AWAY when they had about 5+ guys stop what they were doing and all checking out our vehicle!! After the vehicle was looked over, Salah reported to us that he agreed with most of the items on the "laundry list", one item was unnecessary but also added that our vehicle needed new rear breaks and rotors. He BEAT the other estimate and then some... EVEN with adding on the rear breaks and rotors!! THABK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Salah's Auto was able to get my vehicle fixed THAT DAY. We left it in the morning and was able to get it later that day! We can not say how much we appreciate Salah and his crew for helping us before our big road trip! It gave us such peace of mind to be driving that far with a vehicle that was safe! Salah has customers for life! We won't take our vehicles elsewhere! read more

I have going to Salahs for a long time with all family cars and have always been satisfied and happy with service and price. I used dealer for warranty maintenance on a new Lexus, which has expired. Now, I am having my Lexus maintenance with Salahs. The customer service is unmatched. I know I can trust them, honesty is backbone of his business. Work is done efficiently and competently. Mind at ease, no stress wondering if I really need work or if I'm being taken on price. Salah has a great work ethic and solid honest character. read more

The best place in Houston for all car needs! I always feel taken care of and recommend to anyone.

I've known Salah a long time & always does excellent work & honest about what needs done!

I took my F-150 to Salah's Auto for a vehicle tune-up, oil change, new rear struts, etc. My truck honestly has not run/performed this well in years, they did an outstanding job. I did receive several motor tune-up estimates from other 'Auto Repair Shops' and their estimate were higher. I saved money. The employees at Salah's Auto are honest, caring, professional, and they are fast. I highly recommend Salah's Auto to anyone with any vehicle maintains needs. They earned my trust and respect. read more

I'm so glad to have finally found an auto shop who is so actually concerned about the needs of the clients and their car repairs. I brought in my 2012 Chevy Sonic a couple days ago and they have went above and beyond ANY shop I've ever been to. Thank y'all so much for helping me with my car! Very understanding and will listen to your concerns! Definitely never going anywhere else. read more

Super trustworthy shop. This is a family ran business and I love that about it. They acknowledge you when you come in and and they remember you the moment you walk back in the shop if you've been there before. I mean each and every one of the staff/ mechanics in the shop are trustworthy, honest and helpful. I've been going here for more than 5 years for my Honda Accord and Audi A7. There are a lot of women that goes here just because of how comfortable they feel in the shop. Salah doesn't pressure you to get things done that don't need to be and he would recommend things and leave it at that. He does not make you feel bad if you don't get what he recommends. He also is super reasonable on his prices. read more

I've been going here for 15 yrs. One of the best, most trustworthy mechanics I've ever been to. Highly recommend.

They have experience and know how to repair cars and take care of cars. They also are reasonable and their prices and they are quick and efficient. I have been going to a dealer for years and I'm so sorry because they were horribly expensive and for all I know they did work that was not needed. read more

These guys are scammers and will try to take your money they quoted us 1200 to replace shocks and sway bars and we already have the parts. they told us ghey were giving us a discount called a different mechanic and they said it would cost 285 for the job. please look around everyone to different mech read more

Our car needed a new thermostat while my family and I were on a road trip to Houston. Salah's was one of the only shops / mechanics that would pick up the phone on a Saturday morning. They let us bring in our car an hour before closing. It was ready just an hour after they opened on Monday. In short - they are flexible, they work fast, and I haven't had any issues. I'd come here more often if I lived in the area. PS - Elizabeth was AWESOME PSS - if you also need a rental car, there are several spots on Westheimer read more

Salah's team took care of me and my vehicle. I came here for an inspection and he advised me to get a small repair done on my vehicle before it became a bigger issue. I was able to bring my vehicle in during lunch time and have the repairs done by the end of their closing time. They are very trustworthy and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else for repairs. read more

This is my 1st time ever bringing my 2002 4runner to any mechanic and I was very nervous to leave my baby with just anyone. I picked Salah's only because my husband and ALL of his coworkers have been using them for a decade and have built up a relationship with them. My husband swore to me that Salah and his men would be honest and give us a reasonable deal. My 4runner is 10 years old and over 80k miles put on her, so things were naturally beginning to fall apart. Whenever I was pressing the gas, I would hear a constant squeaking noise as if one of the belts needed changing. It turns out that I had a leak in my radiator, which you could tell had been there for quite some time by looking at all the corrosion that had formed. Poor baby! I don't take good care of her. That leak had messed up my water pump too. Plus, my hubby said the spark plugs were really old and needed changing. Here's the breakdown of what I paid for: $ 398.70 - timing belt kit w/ water pump $ 67.45 - spark plug wire set $ 35.60 - anti freeze OEM (qty 2) $ 248.86 - new radiator $ 505.00 - labor $ 76.83 - supplies, disposal, tax Grand Total: $ 1332.44 My own coworkers were impressed with the total for all the parts and labor. I was impressed that Salah's had kept my car for only one night and also impressed that my 4runner drives like new again. With all the repairs, especially for a 1st time visit to a mechanic, I thought they would've kept my baby longer. The guys at Salah's were also very courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable. I don't want my baby to visit a car hospital ever again, but if she needs it then I'm returning to Salah's. read more

Salahs Auto - Salah's Business Card - Auto Repair Near Me - Houston, Texas

Salah and his employees take great care of their customers! I recently took in my Ford F-150 in for repair and they completed the job very quickly and for about half of what a dealership would've charged. read more

Awsome guys, very reasonably priced. I took my car to them, it was making knocking noise while turning, i took it to them , they said there is no issues, the rubber bushes wore out that need not to be changed, unless the noise bothers you. He took it for a drive, then another guy took it for a drive and came back and told me i can drive it as long as i want, the car has 100k miles on it and rubbers are weak but i need not to change them. didnt pay a dime will go there again, and again and again. read more

I contacted the shop yesterday to find out if they could do a pre-purchase inspection. Elizabeth was really nice and allowed us to come in with the vehicle. We brought the car in about 15 minutes after the call and they had the car on the lift almost immediately. Salah really looked out for us because the car was indeed a lemon. We saved $7000 (cost of the car) by spending $50 for the inspection; so well worth it! The cherry on top was Salah offering to inspect another car for us, free of charge. We took him up on his offer today and brought in another car. This car needed some repairs but we agreed to purchase it after some deliberation. Well, the sheisty dealer sold the car from beneath us, which in hindsight was a blessing in disguise. We took a third car to Salah to inspect (expecting to pay the inspection fee for this one) and he checked it out for free! Salah and his team are truly angels! If you got this far in the review, you understand why it was so important for me to include all these details. Salah went above and beyond to help us out and more importantly, with a smile. We are thankful to him and his team and will recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much Salah; we appreciate you! read more

My family has been using this shop for over 25 years. As an adult, I also use this shop. Salah is such a warm soul. As a female, he doesn't try to screw me over or talk about things over my head. He's very respectful and honest. His pricing can't be beat! read more

I needed a tune-up and came across Salah's shop here on Yelp. He's been an established member of the Houston business community for quite some time. This is based on his massive credentials lined across the walls of his waiting room. The staff was friendly, honest & thoroughly explained all that I needed to know. The price for his labor was more than fair & I'll be back! I've finally found an awesome repair shop! Would recommend his service to anyone! read more

Car was on the verge of breaking down. I went to them with my part and they were happy to help replace the part within 2 hours. Theres no run arounds and they are all very straight forward and nice. Being a woman gives most auto repair shops the tendency to take advantage of their lack of knowledge but here, they tell you what you need to know without trying to make a quick buck out of me. read more

5 stars! I drove to Houston from Austin and noticed that my oil light was flashing when I applied the brakes. I did a little research on the internet & thought I might need a new oil pressure sensor. I took my car to Salah's on my mom's recommendation. Thanks, Mom! A mechanic greeted me right as I arrived, and I explained my situation to him. He popped my hood and had me run my engine and confirmed that indeed, it was the oil pressure sensor and that it did not need immediate repair. I left within 5 minutes of arriving, without being charged a dime. The service was quick, attentive, and honest! Can't get better than that. read more

Small shop, very quick and professional service ,I have had several repairs done by this shop always felt the honesty and integrity of the owner who told me the truth and accurately estimated the cost.I would recommed Salah's Auto Repair to anyone needing auto repair read more

My experience with salah has not been great ! They try to flirt with you , I asked salah to replace my temperature sensor he asked me where is it located ? I asked him "Am I the mechanic or you are ??" . He proceeded to say "if you can tell me where it's located then I will try to fix it . I RAN AWAY AFTER THAT . So I decided to give them a second chance and ask for a look at my car because it kept saying "traction control and stabilit trac" when it rains outside so when I arrived he(SALAH)kept saying his machine is broke . So I waited 3 weeks to return and his machine still not working . He also installed my water pump and weeks later it went out because it didn't replace it correctly . They say they have been in business for years, but they really act like rookies ! read more

So, I took my car there, It was making clunking noise, they checked for about 20-30 minutes, drove around, and came back and said that they could not find anything and the car run as new. I was surprised, even though they could hear the clunking, they said everything is fine. So I left without paying a dime. Surprising, if I would have taken it to another car shop, they would have charged me diagnostic fee and fix something which is not even needed. read more

Wow, what an incredible experience! Salah was knowledgeable, honest, and professional. I purposely don't have older cars because I don't want to deal with auto repairs and the fear of being fooled into unnecessary and costly repairs. When my car began making a loud noise I began my quest for recommendations. Salah was the first one I got and after meeting him for the first time - I knew I was at the right place. If you are looking for a shop that is led with integrity, is affordable, and professional- look no further. read more

I have been going to Salah Automotive for at least 4-5 years, and will never take my vehicles anywhere else. The fact is once again I went to Salah's yesterday, 03/07/22 because I had a Check Engine light, and I was nervous because I start work at 9am, and I arrived about 8:25am. Salah had my car on the analyzer, and they already had sent some one to get the part by no later the 8:45. I thought it was maybe just a spark plug because I had it analyzed at AutoZone near me, however it turned out to be a bad ignition coil, which was unexpected, however Salah let me pay most of it that day with a promise to call him today with the small amount remaining. I have no doubt I got the best price, the BEST Service, I was was at work at 9:30 and only missed 30 minutes of work, now that's fast! If you want a mechanic shop that treats you like family, and most important as it goes with mechanic shops honesty is soo important, you will find all of that and more at Salah's Automotive. You can also refer to my Google review if you want to hear about another wonderful visit with Salah! 5 Stars read more

The owners, Elias and Salah, are very friendly. I believe that most of their business comes from word of mouth, which says a lot about how they treat their customers. I feel like they have given me honest auto advice and fair prices for the past few years I've been going to them for repairs. They go out of their way to take care of all my car problems, and never try to sell me something unnecessary. I highly recommend these mechanics. read more
