I had a piece of molding underneath my car come loose. I had been here before, to have my oil changed, I trusted their work and they were open on a Sunday so I brought it in. They clipped the piece of molding back on for me, and didn't charge me. Since I had been here before, I also asked them to do another oil change. When I picked up the car from the oil change, there was a problem. The oil pressure light, and the check engine light were on. The oil level was good, so I took the car home, and then the following morning, I took the car into a separate shop for a second opinion on what was wrong When they ran the check engine light, it said that the oil pressure sensor was stuck. Apparently what had happened, was during the oil change, a prong from the oil filter had broken loose,, and it was blocking the oil pressure sensor. I went back to Firestone and spoke to the manager. I'm sorry I didn't write down his name He called over to the second shop where my car was, and the mechanic at the second shop explained in detail what had happened. Based on the situation and the explanation, the manager. At Firestone agreed to cover the cost of Getting my car fixed. The sensor situation was fixed with no out-of-pocket cost to myself. As I mentioned, I had been here for oil changes, quite a few times before, and nothing had ever happened. I get it, unfortunately, sometimes things happen. It's not that something happened, it's how the shop handled the situation. They absolutely took care of it to my satisfaction, I got my car fixed, and I would still bring it in for an oil change again. Thank you for taking care of me. read more

My duaghter went in. They charged to diagnose a problem which basically is reading the error codes. Needed to replace the catalytic converters. Her car has two of them. The price they quoted for the parts was approximately 100% more than the actual retail cost. The error code indicated that one of the converters had failed. They decided to change, and charge, for both. In addition the price they quoted for replacing a cabin air filter was $74 for the filter, and $24 for labour. The filter actually costs $11. I called and they told me the cost of the parts are what they are charged by Auto Zone. Of course when I checked on Auto Zone this turned out to be incorrect. My perception is that they tried to take advantage of somebody who has very little experience in dealing with car issues. A really terrible experience. read more

When you come in with a nail in your tire which is a quick fix and they tell you it will be two hours due to how busy they are. No problem with that but three hours later they haven't even pulled it in. Very frustrating. Be honest about your time. read more

Never ever EVER go here. I found out from premier oil change I had a pretty bad nail in my tire. I take it to Firestone because they are one of the only places open on Sunday. They tell me a tire patch will take all day, okay fine. The lady calls me back-- seriously one of the rudest people I've ever spoken to in my life. FULLY gaslit me and says there's no nail in my tire and everything's perfectly fine and my car is ready to go. I pick up my car and SEE THE NAIL FULLY IN MY TIRE. I talk to the mechanic after getting my car and HE SAYS there's no nail in my tire. WHAT A JOKE. Im so annoyed and frustrated with this business. How can a tire place not be able to locate a nail in a tire? I'm a small young female and I can see it perfectly fine. This place sucks so bad. I had to drive 5 hours south today and my entire trip was delayed because of these idiots. DO NOT GO HERE SUCH A SCAM. We bought a full set of new tires from this place two years ago. We had a flat on one tire so took it in to have it repaired. They told us they couldn't repair it and tried to sell us a new tire. We asked for the spare to be put on (full size spare). They did and that was it. The customer service when we dropped off the car was less then friendly. The person we dealt with when we picked up the car wasn't much better. That was a day ago. Today we took the car to Gosselin's. They repaired the tire, no problem. Customer service was great. We won't be going back to Firestone. Not helpful and definitely felt like we were bothering them. read more

I went in for brake pads and rotors. Everything was fine until I got in my car and left. My back tire began making a terrible and loud rubbing/grinding noise and my tire light turned on. I went to get gas and came back notifying them of the noise. A few minutes later they said the backing got stuck on the rotor when they put the tire back on. I told them to ensure a test drive is ACTUALLY completed because I watched the mechanic drive out of the garage and just park my car on the street in the same place I put it. The women at the shop tried telling me a test drive was done and basically made it sound like I was lying even though I watched the mechanic not test drive it and I did not see my car pass the windows of the store once. The noise was apparent as soon as I drove my car away which the mechanic would have also notice had they done a proper test drive. I will NOT be returning to this shop. read more

Dropped my car off the previous night for a flat. Got there a little before it opened and they were very prompt to assisting me and figuring out what I needed to do on my car. They gave me an ETA. I was very fortunate and the person scheduled to come in prior to me did not show so I was in and out of there in about an hour. I got two front tires installed and an alignment. I thought it was very affordable. I will definitely be back to get several more tires in the years to come. Plenty of seating there's TV to watch and magazines. read more

The staff and mechanics are great. I like how we can keep online profiles of our vehicle records. Tire prices can be higher than some places, you just need to shop around. I was able to have my Uber/Lyft inspections completed at Firestone (just remember to download and print your forms, in case they run out). They did both forms for a total of $20.00 ! It would be nice if they offered some additional discounts to Rideshare drivers.. That seems like good business sense, to me. read more

I have come in multiple times with flat tires for repairs and the staff has been so friendly and accommodating here. It has been super convenient to be able to drop off the car and let them do their thing while I'm at work. Great pricing for flat repairs, and the best procing for their alignments anywhere in this area. Highly recommend you get their lifetime alignment services, I have it on my 3 cars currently and 2 others I have owned. Bonus tip, when you get there grab a business card and save the phone number into your contacts. I have had trouble with the online listings where it goes to a call center elsewhere and my appointment gets lost, but the office staff have worked it out with me and made it all good. read more

Diana called me throughout the servicing of my car to give me updates and make recommendations, she was very nice and helpful. The technician Omar, along with the manager Chris, were happy to explain to me the work done on my car and findings, and go over future work that needs to be done on my vehicle. I thought they were not ripping me off but they did. My car had alignment fixed and they put it the routers in wrong. Prior to taking my car to get fixed with them my car wasn't making a squikyy noise but soon after they "fixed" my car that squikyy screeching noise started. I have not taken it to two Student auto shops. The guest one said that what was used weren't brand new routers but used ones and that they were put on wrong was said by the second autoshop repair. They rip people off and I don't recommend them to anyone, especially females (well the majority not all) because they take advantage of our lack of knowledge in auto repairs. read more

made an appointment with them online and they called to set up over the phone. I made the appointment on Thursday for Sunday morning the lady on the phone and told me her diagnostic team was out with that I could still come in and they would work on my car. so I canceled my plans for the day and drove down to eureka because they had set up an appointment and when I got there they acted like I was in the wrong and that I was crazy because I thought there diagnostic team would be in because I had the wrong information. And she also said that I set up an appointment for a wheel alignment and I came in asking for my power steering to be fixed and I had to teach her that her website says their wheel alignment also covers power steering service and they don't have a separate option for that and then I got accused of calling the wrong number even though their number was in my phone and I'm pretty sure I talk to the lady on the phone that was helping me at the counter. basically the whole thing was a huge waste of time my car didn't even get touched and I should've just kept my original appointment at North Bay auto in arcata and waited until Monday and been patient. My wife had a breakdown on Hwy 299 and, at the recommendation of AAA, had the car towed to a repair shop in Eureka. They did a quick diagnostic and said a new alternator and battery were needed to the tune of $1,700. My wife thought that sounded a bit steep. I did some research and it was indeed way high. I called Firestone as they had done very satisfactory work on several of our work vehicles. Diana gave me a quote that was $500 less, so I had our car towed there. Chris, the manager, called me back after they ran several diagnostic tests on the alternator and said that there was nothing wrong with it, but the seven-year-old battery was done for. Cost of a new battery install: $300, or $1,400 less than the other place was willing to stiff us for. I can't recommend Firestone enough. read more

This place is a joke. They were extremely rude, argumentive and unknowledgeable. They tried to get us to change our whole rotor when all it was, was a lug nut needing to be replaced (which cost us$3.78). They told us to leave and get out of their driveway with a totally flat tire. We also bought a metric star wrench($15.99). In all they wanted a huge amount of money for a simple torch of their metric star wrench. Wow if you can avoid this place do so. They also threatened us if we didn't leave they were going to call the cops. Rude, rude and more rude was their attitudes. read more

Have lifetime alignment.. great if you have a truck.. they put my tires on and alignment. Did an amazing job, truck feels amazing. Other than there packed busy and waiting times might be a bit longer there is a reason why... we don't complain when we sit in line for 20 mins for our fav food truck.. remember that. Traveling around the state in a rental and suddenly experiencing a very flat tire could be a very unpleasant event. And not to sugar coat it. It's not fun and is a time sucker. Luckily I had purchased roadside assistance coverage and was able to have the tiny spare installed for me by a friendly and helpful AAA tow truck. This still left me the task of getting to a Goodyear or Firestone tire center to have the tire repaired or replaced in order to continue my travels. The courteous service and positive attitude I experienced from the store manager (Chris Voight) at the Eureka store made the two hours needed to get two tires installed (something to do with the vehicle being AWD) was nowhere as onerous as I expected. I've been a customer at Firestone for years and get all my oil changes done here. I've never had an issue. I'm a Little disappointed though. We recently got an oil change. My bf was driving for Lyft last night and happened to get a mechanic in the car. They said the car was making a rattling noise and needed oil. He looked and saw the dip stick wasnt put back in all the way. Obviously oil had been spilling out. I'm very thankful this was realized before our trip to Redding tomorrow. That could have been disastrous. From now on we will be checking after oil changes. read more

I have custom rims that require custom tires; I ended up with a flat one day, they had the tire ordered the same day, and had it back on my car the following day. I had previously ordered all 4 tires through TireRack and had these guys slap them on; I mentioned TireRack, and the woman helping me looked up their pricing, and immediately matched their own with TireRack's price, saving me about $20 (per tire). Never felt the need to ever sign up for Yelp but definitely trying to save other people's time. Simply don't go here. They are a waste of your time. I spoke with a gentleman at 4 pm setting up an appointment. I showed up with little air in my tire. The the person working the front desk assisted me saying how they couldn't help with me having a flat basically in their parking lot knowing I called in advance. Not to mention how unprofessional they were how unhelpful they were as well. I figure ill call back asking to set up another appointment for the next day now it's a different person answering now telling me how they are short hand staff and they are booked for the next 5 days now and I can't get service. I found that people were working too fast. The attendants at the public desks were too rushed to communicate clearly. I waited patiently for 30 minutes, as I was told that my record had to be looked up before the cost of possible tire replacement was known. I checked in after 30 minutes and was told they my flat tire could be repaired without cost and I needed an oil change soon. I agreed to an oil change. Not until I paid my bill did they tell me the opening to my oil resevoir had been threaded. They claimed it was caused by the last place that changed my oil. This late notice of a problem, and their defensive attitude indicates to me that they made a big mistake, and refused to take responsibility. read more

Usually chain auto shops annoy me... Rates for everything, even just to look; long waits to get looked at; and, well, we all know the deal. I came to Firestone after my tire sensor system light came on during a long day road-tripping on the 101. Another location in another state had sold me the tires but the light was for the entire system so I figured it wasn't going to be quick or easy to track down, especially pulling in around 5pm. The shop was pretty quiet and they had a tech looking maybe 10 minutes later. First they checked all the tires to confirm, then my spare (which I did not get from them) came out, which was low on air, so they filled it. Drove around but the light persisted. So they put my car on a lift and checked the tires for nails or faults, drove it around some more, and the light was gone. The charge for all this: nothing. Easy 5 star rating. read more

On 7/2/18, took my car to this shop for a vehicle inspection so that I could drive for Lyft. I had purchased a pre-owed 2016 Subaru Impreza with 25k miles about a month before the inspection. The staff at Firestone Eureka told me I needed new tires (about $500+) in order to pass inspection. I declined to purchase new tires and took my car to Conti's Auto Repair. The staff at Conti's said my tires were virtually new and they passed my car for inspection to be a Lyft driver. read more
