i had a screw in my tire and remembered as i past their shop, so i pulled in and was told it would be an hour or so on a busy saturdy morning. I got in line and the time flew by. next thing in seeing thiem check my tire and i guess the screw had fallen out and did not puncture the tire. My trailer had a flat. I'm pretty sure Les Schwab is the only tire company that provides roadside service to RVs, so I was relieved in the first place that they said they could help me, and the tech came the next morning to fix the flat. The estimate was almost $300, c loser to $450 if I had to replace the tire. The tech took the tire off the rig, pumped it up with air, searched for the leak - which he couldn't find, so he replaced the valve - then he waited to make sure the tire maintained its pressure - he was so professional and speedy, they charged me about $80 less than what I was quoted. I had no idea Les Shwab was such a great company! I will definitely buy my next tires from them. read more

i had bought a battery from les schwab that was a piece of crap in July. the car kept dying (no power) after telling them i was having electrical issues they told me to replace my alternator. well... shouldn't have listened to les schwab! no electrical issue! My issue was just a bad battery from les schwab! (since then i replaced the alternator and since i couldn't find a mechanic, i ended up buying a new car!) don't go here! they totally screwed me over! they did refund my battery cost but because of them i'm out $400 for an alternator and $24k for a new car... plus i had to get towed several times because the car kept dying completely. thank goodness for old town auto! they saved the day! read more

I was driving to Eureka to visit a family member when my low pressure sensor lit up in Laytonville. I aired it up and it went off so I was hoping it was okay, but by time I hit Eureka it was low again. I needed to have it looked at so I went here. I did not originally buy my tries from Les Schwab. Didn't matter they still helped me out. Turned out it was a bad valve stem. I went to pay and they told me no charge. Very unaware of the mistakes they make, l've gone back 10 different times in the past month to get the problem they made resolved, l've spent lots of money there and still not satisfied. If I could give a minus stars I would. DO NOT GET YOUR BRAKES DONE HERE. After paying 3200 for full frontal brakes, tires, some other stuff they tacked on at the end, they sent us on our merry way... meanwhile the days were counting down, in a death trap. Drove over to Cresent City (6 hours) then to Redding (after telling him this car needs to be safe for work) we get over highway 299 FOUR days after replacing breaks to have them FULLY Go OUT!!!! At 70 MPH...with my 11 year old in the car. petal to the floor trying to stop! took car instantly to the Redding Les Shawb and their words to us was, "who did this work?" - after confirming that it was them, they so kindly let us know that the calipers had been cross wired with the break lines, or break lines into the Calipers and it had slowly, over 4 days leaked ALL of the break fluid. we are sitting in a Redding parking lot with a dog, two kids, and no car... we don't live in Redding but can't drive the car back over 299, which we were min from doing without knowing we were in a death trap, so many ways this could of taken the life of my husband and son. We are told we can leave the car with the Redding location, who told us they were humiliated at the work Eureka had done. It was SO bad a Eureka Manager called us and said he would personally get the car back to the Coast...this is strange we don't know who we are leaving the car with, we also don't know the person saying they'll be getting it... I call headquarters in Or, and let them know what happened. They agree that NO ONE should of done shotty work like that, and he would make sure the mechanic receives more training as that was the point of my call initially... . meanwhile we get home and have no car for 3 days. My husband uses this car for work... I finally get a call back from Headquarters Office, and they say that it was "our own Calibers that leaked the fluid" they didn't have anything to do with that and they're at no fault but hey they put gas in the car" We go to finally get our car, and we have ZERO paperwork given to us of what was fixed, who worked on it, what was done... and they had gone through the car top to bottom looking for any paperwork or original receipt from them... but alas we have the ORIGINAL paperwork in an envelope (purchased from Les Shawb Eureka Calibers, front brake pads, rotors ect ect) ALL purchased brand new, from them, so in fact, it WAS their work, they botched it, and then tried to get all their "ducks in a row" (lie) while we sat shaken and with no car for 3 days not even knowing anything ... They did bad breaks. They almost killed a young working dad, and an 11 year old who ALMOST got on 299 without knowing ALLL the break fluid had leaked from the car... so many ways this could of ended in a tragedy. And their corporate response, "we didn't do it".... no sorry, no we will re fund the bad work done. nothing... NEVER get your breaks done here .... (something now I am finding out SO many people already know). We don't even feel safe driving this car anymore. Now having to pay another mechanic (trained) to look over what was, and what wasn't done. Thanks Les Shawb for literally almost killing my husband... seconds from getting on 299 with NO way to stop and then denying your own labor and parts from FOUR days prior... I guess you looked in the car for the paperwork, but forgot we had it... do not go here for any mechanic work on your car!!! Shout out to Les Schwab Tire Centers. I went there first thing this morning for a tire rotation and asked them to check the brakes while they were in there. This service cost me something like $20 and when I went to check out, the guy told me a total charge and then said it can be waived if I donated as little as $5 to their backpacks for kids fundraiser. So I just diverted my charge to that. But then I started thinking, they paid 2-3 guys a half hour of labor, worth maybe $50, or $60 if you factor in overhead, and then they diverted their fee to a kids charity. Well done. (I imagine this offer is for labor only, parts, etc most likely make this impossible) read more

Hands down the BEST in town, they are straight up honest with you!! Sadly if you go to Le Schwab in McKinleyville,CA they tried charging me $20/$25 dollars just for a consultation whereas here in Eureka they are always happy to do it charge free! Today I overheard a lady needed an alignment done and the consultation guy with red head (Nick) (consultations are usually done for free) told her that the issue was more complex so they recommended her going with another place that does the specific repair job. She was an older lady who said "truthfully I need honest advice. What do you recommend?" He said, "I recommend you going else where and getting it check then she said " that is why I love coming here because you are always so honest!" It was great hearing that their shop prides themselves on honesty and isn't trying to reap the benefits off their customers . So far I am glad to hear that Le Schwab has only good experience based on many happy customers, I have encountered so far. read more

I was checking tire pressure before a long road trip. When I took the dust cap off of one tire, air came rushing out. I figured I needed a new valve stem. I went rushing down to Les Schwab shortly before closing on a busy Saturday afternoon. They got me in, installed a new valve, in about 15 minutes. Then said, "no charge". I was amazed. Thanks to Natalie and Kevin, friendly and helpful people. In the past I have bought a number of batteries here, and they usually didn't last as long as I expected. Coming from Sacramento to willow creek to visit family and was going up to eureka first and arcata to spend some time there before we arrive to willow creek and an hour before arriving to eureka my brake pedal went to the floor after coming back from a gift shop and once we got into eureka about an hour drive it was getting really hard to brake so ik it was something in brake line and got out the car and it was a leak all over and went to Les Schwab right around the corner and told them everything. That day was on Friday and told me there was a tear in the brake line hose and quoted me and said the part won't come in until Tuesday and I start a new job Monday so I wasn't able to do it. After telling them if they can patch it somehow to hold it over weren't able too and while the guy that helped me out there his name was Manny kept talking to his manager on solutions meanwhile I was calling all nearby auto parts stores if they had they part and said the same thing they could have it by Tuesday but by all miracle Manny called a autozone to see when they are ordering new parts to come in the guy at autozone said he can place an order for it to come Saturday morning but had to order by 1:30 pm and got the order in by 1:31 for the new brake hose line. Great, great service!! My partner and I have been long-time customers at the Eureka Les Schwab for years; we buy all our studded tires there. But a recent interaction at the business took my appreciation to a whole other level! This store has great integrity and amazing customer service. Before I lay out the story, I especially want to give a big shout out to Reid, the manager, and Joe, one of the employees who helped me before Reid stepped in. Here's what happened.....Willits Les Schwab did an alignment in the spring. Nice folks, but unfortunately the alignment was wonky, apparently because whatever machine did the calibration was off. By the time I realized this, my tires were very unevenly worn, despite my rotating and balancing them regularly. I live closer to Eureka's Les Schwab than Willit's, so I asked the folks in Eureka to confirm that Willit's recent alignment was off, which they did. Reid, the manager, was incredibly decent. He asked what they could do to make things right. Even though Eureka Schwab wasn't directly responsible for the alignment and tire wear problems, Reid took responsibility since Les Schwab Tire Centers are interconnected. Reid re-aligned my car (without charge), and also facilitated a refund for the original alignment, since my tires were damaged and which will cost me when I buy new ones. This is the kind of old-fashioned customer service you hardly ever see any more. Reid is one righteous, decent, principled dude, and he's got lifetime customers in my partner and me! Several people I talked to told me to go to Les Schwab to fix a FLAT TIRE, an employee came to where I was staying and filled the tire with air. He told me I needed a new tire; I told him I hope they have cheaper tires with me being on a budget and being new to the area. The mechanic who worked on my vehicle gave me the price and I asked if there were any cheaper tires, he gave me a look like yeah not. I paid $168.00 for ONE TIRE!! Went to hotel, packed kids & belongings AND tire was flat AGAIN! Needless to say, I'm back and I'm getting a new tire. God forbid this happens en route to Crater Lake or in-the-middle-of-nowhere! Big shout out to this place, and particularly the associate - Kristen - who helped me. Long story short, I was in desperate need of a tire change after getting a flat in the middle of nowhere. Kristen and Les Schwab went out of their way to help us and they did it quickly. We had reached out to multiple places before and each said we'd have a 6-8 hour wait, minimum. Went in and got four new tired and install by them. They forgot to tightened up all 5 of the lugs on the driver side. All the lugs came off and now the hole is damage as well. One other time I went in and got four new tired too and the rear tire kept leaking air. Went and have them check it out and they put in new pin or something on the hole and the same problem still happen. Never going back there again. I was treated so poorly, even though I have been a customer at Eureka location for almost 20 years. They did not have me in their computer .... Had my husbands name (he's a customer at the McKinleyville location only) Technician was rude and dismissive, told me my tire could not be fixed, then tossed a paper on the table and said "what's your choice" referring to the 2 choices listed. They included fees for services that I did not understand, yet he was unable to explain except to say "that is what comes out on the computer". The manager then said they could just fix my tire, contradicting what the technician had told me, "we'll just fix it and get you out of here, you don't need to purchase tires from us today". Clearly, they just did not want to 'deal' with me. I witnessed them talking curtly to another woman as well, because she asked a question! Unacceptable, zero customer service, zero respectfulness to me. I will go to McKinleyville and see if they treat customers any better. I will never come back to this store or any other les schwabs. I was told that the rim I ordered on Tuesday would be in on Thursday and the employees were completely unorganized. They called us and told us our rim was in and when we arrived it wasn't. They ended up telling us it might come in that night or the next day. When we requested a refund, they couldn't pull it together enough to even make that happen. They said we would have to pay the shipping and we said fine but then they couldn't figure out the return shipping. Couldn't call the manager or whoever needed to find that out. Ended up wasting my entire day dealing with this. Never again. I still haven't received a refund. I'm having to dispute with my bank. Bad business and poor service. Walked in the door for an oil change and tire rotation at 8:30am and was quoted an hour (which is ridiculous) and it's now almost 12 pm and I am still here. I ask for updates and the Reps get annoyed as if I am Inconveniencing them... I'm the only person who should be upset at the lack of professionalism and service I have experienced. Had an appointment for a repair. The person that scheduled the appointment asked that I bring it in early, which was fine. Brought it in about an hour and a half before the scheduled appointment time. After my car was there for over 4 hours without ever even being brought back to be worked on I finally just asked for my keys and left. Do not go here! This place is horrible! I had a nail in my tire and came in to have it repaired. My warranty covers flats. They took my car, and about 25 mins this angry overweight dude comes out and refuses to honor my warranty and then precedes to up sell me on four new tires. (my tires are a year old and are in good condition). This guy had an attitude the whole time and was obviously trying to take advantage of me. Luckily there is an awesome tire shop down the road called Tetrault. They took the nail out and fixed my flat for free, and told me all my tires were in good condition. Les Schwab is a life-saver. After getting my car stuck out in the Somoa sand dunes (oops) overnight and getting a tow, I noticed my car shaking pretty violently afterwards any time I drove over about 50mph. I was on my way out of town and was feeling pretty hopeless but a friend told me to stop into Les Schwab to get my car looked at. Long story short, the guys here ended up removing about 4lbs of sand from my tires (oops again) from when I was stuck. They washed out the sand, charged me absolutely nothing, and sent me on my way with a smile. The guys here are amazing! From Les Schwab in Eureka I drove for nearly 12 hours back to Anaheim where I am originally from and my car drove smooth and good as new the entire trip. Amazing work! read more

brought my brand new rims and tires in and when I picked them up there was deep oil stains in my white walls. the so called manage looked very unprofessional and was unable to clean them. when I looked closer, there were foot prints also imbedded in the white walls. this was obv sabotaged by one of their hater employees. read more
