Very disappointing experience. I brought my work truck here because it had a grinding metal noise. The technician initially said it was a wheel bearing. I asked them to finish the inspection first to confirm the diagnosis before doing any work. They later called and said the wheel bearing was NOT the problem and that the issue was seized tie rods. Based on that diagnosis, I approved the repair. When I picked up the truck and drove it around the block, the exact same grinding noise was still there. The repair did not fix the problem. To make matters worse, when I checked under the hood I discovered that both the radiator fluid cap and brake fluid cap had been left off the vehicle after service. That is extremely careless and could have caused serious damage. When I returned to the shop, they changed their story again and said the noise was actually the wheel bearing -- the same part they had told me the day before was NOT the issue. They then tried to charge another $1,500 to fix it. The wheel bearing was not even listed on the inspection report they gave me. They also falsely claimed that I told them I would only spend $1,100, which is completely untrue. This is a fleet work truck for my business, and because the repair did not solve the issue the truck now has to go to another shop. That means additional downtime and lost work. Blatantly lied to me to get me to purchase with them and sign up for the credit card to pay for it. Told me that they were going to fix my turbo, only to find out that they don't do that, they just told me they would. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And then when I call them and have a pretty heated discussion with the guy about it, given the fact that they charged me $1400 for something they said they would do it didn't, he repeatedly changed the reason why they didn't do it going from. We didn't tell you that to. Firestone lied about multiple issues recommending thousands of dollars of repairs. For example, my battery tested great at the dealer, and is quantifiably documented. I made an appointment to follow up of services they recommended at the last appointment. They had no record of the service and requested another code scan be done. They also indicated the service was scheduled for could not be done today because the tech is not there. Why schedule me an appointment for this day beats me. There is not a charge for the code scan so it was fine; however, I asked multiple times if they could even service my car because it is a BMW brand (they are finicky) the representative assure me it was no problem. After they did the code scan I was told their systems struggle to talk to the BMW system to identify the issues. Wow. Carelessly Bad. Called in and made an appointment for 1pm. Got there and Jacob told me that I didn't have an appointment. I showed him the phone number that we called to make the appointment, and he said that's not my phone number. So I called the phone number and it started ringing and his tech in the shop answered. So then he told me that customer service must've picked up the phone and schedule an appointment. He took no responsibility for wasting my time. Dishonest. Scheduled an appointment to repair a rear tire with a nail puncture, but otherwise in good shape. A $30 repair job. After accepting the car, they called back and said by DoT law I had to replace my rear tires as they were 7 years old (I'd bought them at this Firestone) and they wouldn't repair the puncture. There is no such law or requirement by the DoT (the DoT strongly recommends replacing tires at the 10 year mark). When I questioned this, the service guy said it was what he'd been told (we both Googled it over the phone and could find no confirmation of the 7 year requirement), so he said maybe it was a Firestone rule. I paid a $100 to get an alignment. The first time my car was pulling to the right. I came back and I asked if there is something with my car causing that to happen tell me and I will fix it. They said nothing wrong with it we made some adjustments. Guess what I found out the first time they didn't bother checking the rear alignment of the car. It didn't end this way. The right front wheel isn't within specs and they didn't tell me why nothing. I will never do business with firestone at all. They make you feel like you begging them. I was originally going to give these guys 4 or 5 stars until recently. I had taken my car to get my tires done switching from studs to summer a few months ago. The first time they were really great and helpful. Even offered some nice advice. The second time they were okay. But from that visit I should've known they've gone downhill. My car was parked on the side street with my front tires completely turned and twisted in the curb. I could not get my car out for about 5 minutes and scraped my rims. Fed up I left and didn't complain. My mom recently had to get her clutch and car fixed since it's a manual. When she drove her car it just started smoking and the gears were grinding. Gave them a call and pretty much brushed it off, didn't care to fix it even with her warranty. Come to find out after she took it to another shop the mechanic was floored and fixed it for her. That car was basically running metal on metal. As of today they lost two customers. Not that they care anyway. For the sake of your car stay away!!! read more

Today is my day off and I have a slowly leaking tire and needed to get my tire patched up for my work week. Made an appointment online and received a confirmation email that I was set to have an appointment today at 1:00. Shortly after I got a phone call from the "office manager" being completely rude saying that they will not be able to get us me for my appointment, that has already been confirmed... when its nicely explained that it is a quick fix and will take just about 10 minutes, she says not to bring the car, she will not be helping me, and "I am not mechanics and don't know what I am talking about". My brakes sound like SCREEEEEEEEECH! All the time. Every dog within a mile radius of me coming to a stop hates their life. In parking lots people look at me like I'm an asshole. I want to put a sign on my car that says "Sorry, I bought Firestone brakes :(" They didn't squeak before I bought Firestone brakes. I went back again to have them fixed. Went back again. And again. I have been in Colorado about 3.5 years and what I missed most about leaving my home state was my mechanic. I had a hard time finding someone I could trust with my vehicle when I moved here and that would be honest, and not expensive. Some places see a woman come into their business and they think they can take advantage of them or cheat them in some way. I know a lot about my vehicle(s) so when someone tells me something I don't just take their word, I do my research. In the last 3 years I tried 3 places prior to coming to Firestone. This Firestone at 3501 S. Fox St., Englewood, CO, was great!! I came in for an oil change, and a total vehicle inspection. My vehicle was used when I bought it in 2019 (the dealership, Autonation Subaru Arapahoe (not a trustworthy dealership) did not disclose what needed to be fixed on my vehicle prior to me bringing it to a mechanic in 2019 and I didn't buy a new vehicle because of CO's registration for tags on new vehicles is outrageous)!! Anyway, I know when someone is reliable and trustworthy. This place is one that I will be bringing my vehicle too for everything I need. They told me only 3 things were found that needed to be done (which surprised me), they were honest about my tires (which I know they were good and have at least 12k more miles on them). All the 3 issues would be around $1500 to do, but according to Deb the service manager, she said it could all wait up to 1 year so I didn't have to worry about doing it right away. Colin, the store manager, was patient with all my questions and concerns and able to make me feel that they valued me as a customer. To sum up my long review, just go to this Firestone at 3501 S. This place is a complete scam. I had all my brakes and rotors done here for $1600 and about a month later I noticed that when I pushed on my brakes they were starting to grind. I took my car back and they said I needed to replace both a front and rear wheel bearing for $500 each because that was the cause of the squeaking not the brakes/rotors that were just installed a month prior and were still under warranty. I replaced the front wheel bearing with them and the 3 weeks later the grinding started again, worse than before. I Took my car to alternate location and they confirmed that that one of the brakes and rotor were done incorrectly and my rear wheel bearing that Firestone said I needed replaced was completely fine. read more

I believe this location was not honest to me about the condition of my vehicle. I brought the vehicle in because the brakes were squealing. I had the brakes checked just two months before at a different location (they were squealing at that time as well) and was told they were fine by a that mechanic. With the tires still squealing, I decided to double check at this Firestone. This Firestone told me that BOTH the front and rear brakes both had MAJOR issues (the lady on the phone emphasized this forcefully, several times). The repair would be around $300. I was shocked there was such extensive damage that was previously missed by a different mechanic. So I took my vehicle to a 3rd mechanic later that day (incidentally, a different Firestone location). It was confirmed that the first mechanic was correct--there was nothing wrong with my brakes. In fact, they are nearly brand-new. This has led me to the conclusion that this Firestone location (Fox St) is either incompetent (unable to distinguish if there are serious issues with a car or not) or they deliberately misled me in an attempt to make money (maybe they thought that because I am a young, single female that I'm easy mark). I will never trust them with vehicle again, and will tell all of my friends and family not to go either. Note: This happened a few months ago, just got around to reviewing now. read more

I made the serious error of having my breaks serviced here a few days ago, they had just begun squeaking. Shortly after dropping off the car I received a phone call that the repairs would be $900, I told them I only had $600 liquid at the moment (a little more than the price estimate they had given me.) The clerk said they could finance the additional $300. I asked about a credit check and that clerk told me "I got approved when I had terrible credit, it's a non issue." I approved the repairs and then was informed that a mandatory break line flush was required. They were pumping up the costs now knowing they had secured financing. The price was now $1,190 for a break service of my two front wheels. I showed up to retrieve my car and they said I needed to get approved for the financing. A few minutes later they told me I had been declined. I told them i had been informed approval was guaranteed, but my complaints fell on deaf ears. Long story short, they are now holding my car hostage until I can get the additional $590. I contacted a customer service representative to speak with corporate management two days ago and they have not returned my calls. Since I was misled about the terms of financing, I see no reason to trust that all the "necessary" repairs where in fact necessary. I have begun a complaint with the better business bureau as well, and am very disappointed to have been hustled. Spent 800$ on tires and they didn't even balance them... Left on a trip car shook so bad had to take it in on the road to have tires balanced out of my pocket, they say if I bring receipt they would pay me back but should have done the work properly in the first place.. Making this holiday roadtrip horrible. No weights for counter balance at all.... Will post pics as soon as tires are off since as I write this am at another tire shop wasting my day. Did I mention they did this the time before?!? Second time two different cars.... Debating on taking legal action since second time and they claim oh it won't hurt your car just a little shake....lol. But they guy who messed it up the first car doesn't work there anymore so... Don't go there. They will try to talk you into work you don't need. Especially the brakes. I let them talk me into the $40 comprehensive check with the oil change. The mgr said I needed $500+ in brake work. I was out of work (told him!) so I worried a whole year until I found a job and returned for a new estimate. This different mgr said, "You don't need brakes." I showed him the estimate from 1 year prior. "How is it after driving another year my breaks suddenly got better?" I came here cause I got a flat tire and i had 2 tires that were different sizes than the ones in my rears. So they told me they would be able to mount the used, tires I had not notifying me that A) I shouldn't be mounting 2 tires in front that are different size of a quarter of inch from my rears. B) It caused my ABS System to kick in because of the tires size that I couldn't drive my car past 55 mph. When I brought this to the attention of firestone.. they told me it was another issue and it had nothing to do with the tires. Dummies. Yeah it did. Then When i checked with Corporate.. they should have NEVER mounted those tires, corporate doesn't allow Firestone to mount tires that aren't purchase from them due to liability issues, but they did it for me anyway. Good job dudes!!!! Thanks for puttin my life at stake. Oh and the manager can "EAT A DICK!" so unprofessional, couldn't even explain to me what happen, & instead of calming the conversation he got just as fired up as me. Poor management skills. Perhaps he should step down cause he certainly does not know how to deal with confrontation. This place is horrible. Check out a different Firestone. They provide no education to their consumers. He answered my questions and made sure I was making the right decision on replacing my wiper blades and potentially getting new tires soon. My car was driving funny so I pulled into this Firestone on a Saturday afternoon. Turns out, the dealership that had previously serviced my car hadn't secured the lug nuts onto one of my wheels and it almost fell off. The people at this Firestone were so helpful. They explained the situation very thoroughly, in layman's terms, and were patient as we took pictures and asked questions. They didn't have all the materials to fix the car right then, but said they could take care of it first thing Monday for me. When the dealership agreed to have my car towed from this Firestone, I called them up to ask for the invoice for the consultation... they didn't even charge me for it. The staff here was friendly, welcoming, and I found them to be very trustworthy (something I don't frequently say about any car/body shop!). I highly recommend this Firestone. read more

I went in because my tire had a slow leak. Everyone working yesterday was great and it turned out my TPMS sensor was cracked and was letting air out of my tire. I went in the next day to get the new sensor installed and there was a huge discrepancy in the price they quoted from the day before. Brandi/Brandy? Was extremely helpful and polite and apologized for the mix-up, and adjusted the price, completely hassle-free. I've worked in the customer service sector, and was very impressed by the way she quickly handled it and how courteous she was and appreciative of my business.
