Pulled in on a snowy night 2/24/2021. Heavy snow around 730 pm and pulled up to a pump. Say in my car and gathered my things. When a man came and knocked on my window. I hesitantly waited and he just stood there. Said nothing just stared. I didn't see a Conoco logo or nothing. Just all black hat and jacket. As a woman I refused to open my door. I screamed thru the window, " can I help you!?" He pointed at the pump. I still did not understand. He just kept pointing at the pump. So, I sat there. And he finally started to say something. Which was " did I need full service gas?" I said no. He told me I couldn't get gas there. So I drove away and ran out of gas less than a 1/4 of a mile down the road in a full sow storm. Conoco had FULL SERVICE ONLY gas stations? I've lived in Colorado my entire life. Now I'm out of gas and in the snow. Thanks Conoco. read more

I haven't had any extensive work done here, but I really like the attitudes and service I've had here so far. They are quick, friendly and importantly have never pressed for additional work or "extras". I trust them to do routine maintenance (like oil changes) much more than a Grease Monkeys-type of place. If you're looking for a neighborhood place they seem to be a good option. PS- have had more work done here now (unfortunately!). Had an alternator die and had a hose leak, and they've always been quick to fix it and charged a reasonable price for good work. I've twice left for under $50, which is amazing. Definitely knowledgable and honest. I've had my oil changed here 6-7 times and again never a problem. read more

I chose this Conoco to get the oil changed on my Toyota because it's walking distance from my house. I won't be going back though. The service here wasn't great. I asked them to take a look at my brakes. When I go to pick up my car, the bill says "rotate tires". The explanation was, we just do that, it costs the same as a brake check. That's nice I guess, but shouldn't you check with the owner first? And no feedback on my brakes. I assume that means they are fine? And it was expensive! $45 for the oil change, another $20 for the brake check. A good receptionist/customer service person would make this shop a lot better. read more

Just by chance, Tim the mechanic is working at the south Downing street. He was in Littleton at South Broadway and he is the best mechanic I know. He will not tell you what you want to hear, he is honest and saved me thousands of dollars in the long run by telling me whats wrong and will work with you to fix your car or truck at a reasonable price. I totally recommend Tim and if he can't fix it then its time to buy a new car. Thanks for all you have done for me and our company trucks. My "home" gas station...in addition to filling up the basic as, they have saved me a few times doing tire repairs.

The south Downing Conoco station is a few blocks away, great location and fair fuel prices. I swung in to fill up my vehicle and decided to get a car wash while there. Went through car wash and when I pulled out I stopped to check wash and happen to notice my vehicle was still dirty. No big deal, went into shop and asked if I could run it through again as it did not do a good job. Immediately kid behind counter was rude, peering through window with skepticism to look at truck all the while smoking a cig. At this point I am assuming he thought I was trying to scam a $7 wash.......... After I had already purchased one... I had to ask him to just come outside and take a look. When I asked if I could run it through again I was told I could and that he would charge me. After going back and forth for a few we then went inside and I was warned this would be the only time he would do this. It was clear to me at this point he was not the owner nor did he care about providing any customer service to a local who regularly fills a vehicle there 1-2 times per week. When asked if he was the owner the response was that of a 2 year old, "I don't have to answer any of your questions"... No, no you don't nor do not need to come back her either. As a business owner it was unfortunate to see such a blatant disregard for a customer. There are several other stations within a Mile that sell diesel and I am happy to give them my $120 per week. As a local to the neighborhood I would suggest that you find another station to spend your hard earned money. I would prefer no customer service than that of a rude punk kid who suffers from small man disease, who in addition doesn't understand the basic tenants of what it means to work for a business. Your boss, be it your dad or uncle relies on the surrounding community and that requires a reasonable amount of care for those that choose to visit his or hers establishment. read more

Most (I think all) of my other reviews are for places I've gotten to know fairly recently. South Downing Conoco, however, and specifically Curt, is a staple of my childhood. That guy was awesome to my family. My mom was a single mother raising a severely autistic boy, and me (arguably the worse hellion), and his shop was always a comfortable place for us to visit, and everyone has always been kind. He gave her honest deals on the most reasonably needed and well-planned car repairs, and always gave us great advice and extra information. I haven't seen him in years due to living in other parts of town, but now I'm close by again, and just arranged more work from him. He remembered my family and is his same old awesome self. I'm thrilled he's still doing his thing, and it's an honor to be one of his clients. I recommend his shop wholeheartedly. read more

Charged $20 For Promised Free Estimate After The Fact! - - 2009-12-28 We took our car in for an estimate on a repair, stated to be free, and they gave us the estimate but would not give us the keys until we ponied up twenty dollars, a fee not mentioned anytime before or during the brief inspection. Worst mechanic ever! I stopped at this gas station a couple weeks ago to see if someone there could help me put a new batter in my key fob. Curits replaced my battery and then took it upon himself to go into my car and click the open door and lock button over and over again. He ended up putting my car in emergency lock down. He couldn't take it out of lock down mode. My car couldn't start and was completely dead. I ended up having to get my car towed to a garage that knows what they are doing! Worst of all he was SO rude to me because of his mistake he took it out on me!!!! $500 later I have a working car. Don't use him he's a scum bucket. read more

The manner in which Curt gave me his advice/profession opinion always had a "father-daughter" characteristic to it, which majorly contributed to my trust in him as a girl seeking vehicle maintenance. I was going to have them replace my starter until they increased the estimated cost by $100 bucks for a 97' starter instead of a 98'. Both of which are the exactly same part. I was here on New Year's Eve at the nasty over priced gas station. I walked in side to use the bathroom like i deserve as a paying customer. The man say no it is out of order as the other employee was leaving the working bathroom. So i went across the street to a wonderful place called Little's Wine & Liquor. They said yes. Let me say, it was a lot nicer that that nasty place. So I only got 6 gallons and went 2 miles down the road to a Shell station. A higher quality of gas by the way and got non over priced fuel.
