I took my 2019 Hyundai Sonata with 12,000 miles on it in because the steering wheel was slightly shaking. I wanted them to check it to see if I needed new tires or anything else. I knew it couldn't be anything else because the car has hardly any miles on it. I was told by the sales person that I needed new brakes and rotors ! I am very savvy when it comes to cars and repairs because my family were mechanics They wanted to charge me $2,000! I asked the guy to show me the rotors and brakes! THEY ARE LIKE BRAND NEW ! They tried to get me to replace like new parts ! There was a guy before me that told me they tried to do the same to Him ! They had a record of the type of tires I needed and never bothered to tell me that they were out of stock and would need to order the tire. I went there the next day and only then found out from the very rude guy at the front desk, that they would not have the tire until 5:00 pm and it was only 10:00 am. The only option he presented to me was to wait in the waiting room for 8 hrs. After pulling additional information out of him, he then said they could have another tire but it would cost $80 more. ( he also forgot to mention the additional cost for the tax). So, I ended up pay about $90 more than I should have! I called to complain to management the next day and they never bothered to call me back. I called customer service twice now and crickets. Went in with a flat tire due to a nail. Instead of repairing it, they told us we needed a new tire. While sitting in the waiting room, decided to read reviews and noticed the common theme about exaggeration of repairs. This after sitting in the waiting room for several hours listening to them telling every customer about extensive work that their autos needed. We bought the tire but all these discussions with customers seemed dishonest and feel as if maybe they could have repaired our tire rather than replace. Definitely wouldn't return. read more

If I could give HALF a star, I would. CUSTOMERS BEWARE: I brought my Honda CR-v into this location on 5/3/2022 for an oil change along with brakes and roters. They had a special going for a tire rotation for $10 so i also added that. I dropped my car off at 12pm, and was called at 3:30pm for a report on my vehicle. He told me I needed a new battery, 4 new tires and some filters changed. I told him and i quote "I just want my brakes and my oil change done today." And then we proceeded to hang up. Flash forward to today 5/4/2022. I took my car to the Honda dealership to have my battery tested there, they also offered to do an inspection on the car. They told me my rear brakes were needing to be replaced and my tires needed to be rotated and aligned. I was absolutely shocked because i had obviously assumed it was done yesterday after paying an almost $700 bill at the Firestone. I immediately called Firestone and explained the situation and also included that i had WRITTEN proof that they had said my front/ rear brakes were done and a tire rotation (Which i will include pictures below). The guy (Ken) denied he wrote that down, which was fine because I literally was looking right at it and I'm not stupid. Also that I needed to take my car back up to Honda and get a refund for the tire rotation because he had specifically done that himself and he said all of my tires were even tread. When i spoke to Honda, they let me know my tires were 100% NOT ROTATED. The bad tires were in the front. I asked to speak to the manager at Firestone and he also told me that he trusts the rotation was done when I clearly know it's not. Very very irritating. All I was given was attitude and they did not work with me at all. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! They literally blamed the whole thing on me saying I declined the rear brake service and only wanted the front done. My car was here for 6 HOURS! And they more or less did nothing but an oil change. I decided to drop in after work as I was in desperate need of an oil change. I was relieved to learn this place is open until 7 on Fridays! I called while driving to the shop to give a heads up I would need an oil change (as it was close to quitting time). When the phone was answered I was informed they closed at 6... ...but she answered the phone at 6:30..? I let her know her shop hours are 7-7 online and suggested they update them so it would be accurate. She said it was a corporate policy they post those hours and iterated they closed at 6. Hmmm... I have lifetime alignment on my 2015 Nissan versa . I got new tires worth $560 on 17th of February. I took the car to the Firestone service center on high house road cary nc on feb 21st. After a couple of days I felt the car pulling to the right. I went on person to ask them to take a look but they said I have to take an appointment so I took the first available appointment on March 10 at 2 pm I was late by 15 minutes and the person refused to keep the appointmen. I even told him that I was willing to wait till whenever they can do the alignment but still he refused. Worst customer service. I called the Firestone on Maynard rd cary nc and Ryan immediately said he can squeeze me in without an appointment. I dropped the car on march 10 after hours. I went to pick up the car at 2.00 pm . I asked the reason for the car pulling to the right. He said that the Firestone on high house rd had aligned the tires but the steering was crooked. so tired we're straight but because steering was crooked during alignment. Had an appointment to simply repair a flat tire at 0900. Dropped car off at 0854. Received a call at 1140 not to tell me that the repair was completed and vehicle was ready for pick up but, that I needed to have all 4 tires replaced. This was interesting since I had a state vehicle inspection performed 7 days earlier with passing results and had been informed that the tires were fine. Needless to say - I will not be returning to this establishment and I recommend any future customers to be mindful of their business there. read more

My car works great, as I know there is no any oil leak in my garage. I had spark plug replacement changed as well as engine's gaskets on January for 120k maintenance in Toyota dealer. I went to Firestone for alignment only on Saturday. But they checked engine oil level and others, it showed normal on the document they provided. They asked to do whole spark replacement and engine's gaskets but I did not authorize. I smelled Acrid Smoke when I drove home after I was out Firestone, I found engine oil leak and tank is empty when I got home. My car has very good records, I kept all maintenance in Toyota dealer. Took my car here for an oil change. That's it. A few days after the oil change, I noticed that my car was leaking oil pretty badly, and I got the alert that I needed an oil change...It's an older car, so I do get the oil changed every 3500-4000 miles or so, but after just 300 miles, I kinda figured something was up. I took it back to this location and that visit was alright, they didn't charge me and were polite and apologetic. I went out of town, and my wife calls me and shows me that there is a literal puddle of oil all around our car, far more than before. She took it back for a THIRD time, and they begrudgingly changed the oil and assured us that it was good this time. My wife noticed that smoke was coming out of the exhaust, and she wasn't sure if that was normal, so she called Firestone to ask, and the manager, Chris, was extremely rude to her, essentially shirking the blame and treating her like she was a nuisance. Could be sexist, could be racist, definitely rude. Yesterday, the car started violently shaking, and the check engine light came on, so we took it to Import Motor Werks, and the first thing they say is that the oil drain plug was not tightened properly and that the wrong oil was used. So after 3 visits, over $100, hours and hours of my and my wife's time, they still couldn't even do a simple oil change. Complete incompetence coupled with a manager who is a complete jerk, not a recipe for success. Avoid giving this location your business no matter what, especially if you drive a German vehicle. Firestone has a location nearby on Maynard Road, and that crew is pretty nice. I have never written a Yelp review or even made a comment, but the overwhelming incompetence and horrible leadership compelled me enough to type all this out. read more

I walked in there with my 1999 Camry for a NC Inspection & in 30 minutes the guy came back and told me it failed the inspection. He gave list of things I need to fix in my car with an estimate(labor & parts) for 2400+ USD. He also mentioned that for passing the inspection, I must need 3 new tires , & Powersteering (estimate 900+ USD). I got my inspection done next day with a auto repair place in Sanford, NC without doing any of the mentioned repairs. That will be my first & last visit to this store. Don't go there! I went there to get my rotters and breaks looked at, they were in need of being worked on. I could feel the steering wheel and break peddle shake each time I stepped on the break!! Not too far back I took my car for oil leakage. So called courtesy check suggested work to be done will cost $2300. Although I have very limited usage of car driving, because of retirement, I decided to have work done. After all the work done on leakage, just to find out that within a week, the leakage was still there and they gave me an estimate of another $2,400 To have it fixed. The car was not run for more than 100 miles during the two checks. I like to make money in an honest way. Firestone was a total disappointment and I felt this is taking advantage of the situation. I will not take my car again to them and will use some other auto service. By the way I took my car to another auto service and paid $425.00 I am not sure what was previously done where they charged me $2,300.00. read more

The fun continues. A few more days after my most recent "service" visit to this shop and another tire has developed a mysterious slow leak. That would make 3 out of 4 tires that I bought from this shop a few years ago. Salesman at the time talked me into buying the Road Hazard plan. Interestingly, each time a new slow leak has developed, it has been within a week or so of a service visit to this shop. Also interesting is that the two times I took it back to this shop to get them patched, I was told that "the hole was too close to the wall" and they couldn't be patched, so I would have to buy another tire at the amazing discount of only $100 each since I had the road hazard. The one time I took the car to a different place (not Firestone) they were able to patch the tire. Too many bad coincidences each time with Firestone and this store. read more

I went to buy two tires, called over the phone to set up an appointment and also specified the tires I wanted so that I have matching set of tires when I return my leased vehicle next year. But when I got there they installed different tires, in the interest of time I had to accept it. I wish they were more upfront on that they couldn't get the tires I wanted. The tires they installed did not match the week and year at all. I have never this before on any tires which I bought in sets. They said it's fine. Not transparent at all. I asked about cost estimate on oil gasket for my other but they rushed me out saying the computer is not working, as they want to attend the customer behind me. My local spot for routine maintenance on my vehicle. Employees are accomodating and the service has been very good to date. I recommend downloading the Firestone App because it provides promotional offers that are otherwise not given. For example, I visited the shop a week prior to set up my appointment, and Marcus, locked me in for the lowest Oil Change his system would allow at 27.99. When I went back, I showed Marcus the App price at 19.99 and he readily honored it. I think they also accept competitor coupons. Like I previously stated, I scheduled my appointment a week in advance, hoping to expedite the service. Unfortunately, my anticipated wait time of 30 minutes was 90. I dont mind the extra time because they do provide thorough service, but it is the reason I am rating them a 4 versus 5 stars. I will continue to have them service my vehicle, and I recommend them for others if you dont mind the wait. read more

I witnessed prejudice attitude towards non white customers before, but I couldn't have given reviews based on my perception. Yesterday, July 3rd, 2018 around 5 PM, I was in the waiting area and heard their employee calling a customer for a state inspection for his BMW and quoted $450 for two tires replacement, the customer must have had questions or concerns. His response was okay I will fail the inspection, and you could come back for re-inspection. He hung up the phone, and told Tim the store manager standing next to him, and I quote, "NEXT TIME I AM NOT CALLING ANY FOREIGNERS." I knew at that time my feelings were true all this whenever I went there to get the warranty alignment and rotation done, which gets done with an attitude because I purchased a life time warranty. Another incident was a person, who appeared to be Asian asked to use their restroom, but was refused. Poor guy asked if any other place in the strip mall has public restroom, but the employee rudely refused to answer. I went there for state inspection and was handed of with estimates around 2500$ including Tires which even I could tell did not need replacement. I recently had my car inspected, excellent service. I also had an issue that needed investigation with the steering of my vehicle. A technician drove the vehicle with me, put it up on the rack and did an intensive review of the steering system. They provided me with a diagnosis and actually recommended that I have the dealership do the repair based on several factors. My husband has also found this location to provide accurate diagnostics and recommendations. We'll be back. read more

Was more or less forced to use this Firestone due to purchasing 4 new tires from TireRack. This was the closest location to my house that was affiliated with TireRack. Was told appt would take 1.5 hrs...gave them over 2 hours before returning and car was still on the lift with no one working on it. I had asked to be called regarding possible additional work like a simple oil change and alignment...never got called. As I was in line trying to get out of there I personally heard 2 other customers express their displeasure with delays in service...in spite of the fact they had prior appointments and had been advised over the phone how long it would take. Bottom line...you have options...use them. Service will never be good here the way it is setup...pick an outfit that carers about the customer. I'll never return. read more

This place is full of con artists. They were trying to convince me that I needed new tires, when I got the most expensive Michelin tires from the Toyota Service a year ago. I don't drive a lot, only locally. The tires are in really good shape. Also the price of the oil change was 3x higher then Mr. Tire's price (Mr. Tire is on the other side of Davis Dr. just one minute from Firestone) or Toyota's oil price. I bought a lifetime balance and rotation package less than a year ago. Issue occured today, with a scheduled appointment to inspect the balance of the front tires that were recently balanced & rotated to the front from the back. Upon arrival today, I was greeted by the Mark the manager who began to question the validity of my claim that my tires didnt need balancing..... Instead he advises me after looking at the tires with a flashlight, (crude diagnosis) that this was not a balance issue by any means, rather an alignment issue or front end. Despite his opinion, I requested to please recheck the balance on both tires. Finally the Manager reluctantly concedes to perform the work... Once we got inside for the check in process, he discovers that I am no longer enrolled in their lifetime mount and balance package since the back tires were dismounted and replaced. My conversation continues to escalate between us with him having to prove his point that I should pay for another package again regardless that the other reps advised me of the complete opposite... After all this he agrees that I am still covered on just two tires only but will need to purchas two more tres on my balance package! Unbelievable... Seriously the time we spent discussing his perspective of having to correct me and basically look me on the eye w/o apology that this is my problem & just help me was the breaking point. After a true inspection of both tires, on the left that he said was not a balance issue was in fact off by 1/4 oz weight .... Well folks you win some you lose some in customer service skills. The manager that has run this location for years will gladly dispute your opinions for a small gain... I am done and he just lost a customer branded to Firestone Tires. Bravo. read more
