They lied about doing the alignment. They damaged parts attempting the alignment and did not inform me. Whenever you do an alignment, you get the before and after measurements. They couldn't print the after results for some reason. How am I supposed to know if it was done well or at all? They put it back on the rig, it shouldn't take long to verify. Turns out it wasn't done at all! They were going to have me pay without any service done. A complete waste of 2 hours, I've already scheduled my appointment with the Kia dealership to get it done right. On top of that, my steering wheel was covered with black residue. Never going back. Edit: I just got my alignment done and found out nuts were stripped and others were left loose. read more

Got an oil change and tire rotation. After receiving my car back they screwed up by making the car steering wheel shake when going above 60mph and the wire for my drivers side turn signal was cut. The car has 12k miles on it as a 2021. Don't recommend as they might screw up your car too read more

I went in for an oil change on a Saturday afternoon and the office was packed full of people. I was expecting to stay there for quite a bit but luckily most of them were almost done, I was done in about an hr. It was my first time at precision. I only went in for my mom since this is the only place my mom uses. Now I can see why she does. Not only do they offer one of the cheapest oil change in the area, their customer service is exceptional! I definitely will be coming back for my own car. Im a regular customer to Precision for almost 2 years, and especially on this particular location for 1.5 years. Based on my experience, I believe this place deserve 3.5 stars. I have been enjoying their services such as oil change, wheel alignment, and simple light bulb change. I especially enjoy their engine oil change package which comes with multi-points inspections, topping fluids, and tire rotations. This package is what keeps me coming to Precision! My experience with Cody and another female receptionist has been superb. They both treat me with respect and tell me the exact problem without bluffing things. Thank you! I don't personally enjoy the old gentleman, who usually wears a button down shirt and seems like the store manager. He is somewhat condescending and rude based on my personal experience. Although I really enjoy visiting thus Precision location, I pray that I don't have to speak with this man when I go into the store. He is that rude and unplesant to deal with. Overall, for the money I'm paying, I really love the service I get. I will continue to use Precision for engine oil change until I find somewhere better or cheaper. read more

Well it is inspection time and i drove my 1999 Toyota Camry in with trepidation...would it pass....can i afford it if it doesn't. I called beforehand and was told to just drop it off and no problem. I arrived about 3:00 pm and left my car. I asked for the NC Inspection and an oil change. Their prices are very fair and I had come there last year for an Inspection!! Well I left and about 1 hour later my car was finished and ready for me to go! I PASSED and the person at the front desk made me aware of what was needed on my car asap and what could wait! I would not recommend. This company deserves 1 star but I will give them 2 because they offer the cheapest oil change options in the area. I would not recommend them for mechanical work especially if you're check engine light is on your car. I've been a customer of Precision Tune Auto Care on New Bern Ave in Raleigh since 2011 I've gone to PTAC for all my car needs. . Each time I have gone to PTAC with a check engine light issue they have told me what the problem was and fixed the issue and all was good. On August 6, 2015 I took my car to PTAC because my check engine light was on and my car would act has if it wanted to loose power whenever I would come to a complete stop. The technician performed the diagnosis and told me he couldn't duplicate the issue. The technician basically did not know why my check engine light was on or why my car was acting as if wanted to "loose power" when I would come to a complete stop. I was not expecting to hear this news because I have always been told exactly why my check engine light was one each time I have visited PTAC in the past. The technician suggested that I replace the spark plugs and wires since it has been at least 35,000 miles since the had been replaced. I wasn't totally comfortable with replacing the spark plugs and wires because the technician wasn't even sure if the plugs and wires were the issue. I even ask the technician if I should just drive the car until whatever was going on with my car revealed itself and he suggested I shouldn't do that. My gut told me to leave and not get my car fixed that day. I had to travel to another state that day and didn't want to be stuck on the side of the road in another state so I decided to replace the spark plugs and wires. My car started acting as if he wanted to "turn off' /" loose power" while I was at a stop light on the evening of August 9, 2015. I called PTAC on the morning of August 10, 2015 and explained to Rusty/Russ that my car was still acting as if "wanted to turn off"/"loose power' while I was at a stop light but the check engine light was not on. Rusty suggested that I bring my car in if the light came on. I expected from him to tell me to bring my car in immediately since it had been less than a week since ' my car had been fixed". On August 10, 2015 I left my house to take care of some errands and notice that the "turning off"/"loosing power" issue seemed to be getting worse. The issue was happening at every stop light. and I was terrified that my car was going to break down in the middle of traffic.I immediately drove to PTAC and told Rusty that the issue I was experiencing with my car appear to be getting worse. Rusty showed no concern for the issues I was having with my car. Rusty suggested that I drive my vehicle home and come back the next day so they could take a look at my car. Rusty never mentioned why I should come back the next day nor did I suggest that I had somewhere to go so I didn't have time to find out what was wrong with my car. I told Rusty that I didn't feel safe driving my car home because I did not know what was wrong it. Rusty agree to have one of the technicians look at my car.The technician looked at my car and Rusty notified me that my car engine was shot. I was irritated because I should have been told about this issue on August 6, 2015. The place was extremely busy when I arrived on August 6, 2015. Cody and the technician both seemed stressed. I am convinced that the the technician didn't take the time to find out what was wrong with my car. I basically threw 285.00 in the trash. Spark Plug and Wires were not the issue. I have no use for them. I cannot resell them. What was the purpose of me paying 49.00 to find out what was wrong with my car when the technician did not even know. It took me spending money on spark plugs, wires and labor cost before they could tell me what was wrong with my car. The purpose of the diagnosis is to tell the customer was it wrong with their car and not tell them you don't know but think they should replace this or that. Every time I have gone to them my car was diagnosed and fixed. I would hate for someone to pay this company 2000, or a 1,000 of their hard earned money to have them fix your vehicle and then tell you they don't know what the issue is but then suggest that you replace this or that because it has been XXXXX miles since it was replaced. You replace what they suggest that you replace and then a few days later you car is not running and they tell you (with a smug attitude) that what you replace is not the issue but the real issue is something that will cost you more money. read more

My mother is at your location on New Bern Ave in Raleigh, NC. She has 2018 Jeep Cherokee. She left and her steering wheel locked up and lights started going off. It is raining hard here. Thank God she was able to make it back. Here she was met with your rude manager Rusty. I just got off the phone with Rusty after he hung up on me the first time when he kept cutting me off. Told me he had customers and I didn't want to see his "other side". I called you corporate office since he " did not have time to go down this road with me because you don't want see my other side. You are not worth it" after going back and forth he was gracious enough to give me a nonchalant sorry but I have other stuff to do. Maybe this is how you conduct business because when my mother asked for the number to corporate he gave a number to the center in Cary NC and then said he did not have a number for corporate because that was in Texas. She is literally there right now. She and my TWO YEAR OLD DAUGHTER and my SEVENTY YEAR OLD GRANDMOTHER were set to travel out of town today in that vehicle. And while Rusty didn't seem to think that's reason to be concerned I DO!!! I have never had someone who was in customer service make a mistake and have to be forced to even say I'm sorry. And I don't want to see your other side. When I asked for clarification he stated he had another side that he wasn't going to show me. But I guess since calls aren't recorded and he didn't seemed alarmed as to what happened, I can only consume that this is not the first time that this has happened. And no I did not curse. Nor did I yell. Even when phrases like "well that's how you feel" or "I'm not going to sit on the phone with you" the conversation was five minutes when he disconnected the call yelling "have a nice day" ... I'm upset but I want people to understand that he literally offered no apologies until prompted to do so. So is this normal. To go for an oil change and come out with an oil leak???? The car has 8,000 miles and only one owner. This is Who you chose not only to represent your brand but to give the title MANAGER to???? And everything about the conversation screamed I'm comfortable and I do not have to be concerned with the safety of my clientele. Smh. read more

I had a great experience here. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I went in for an alignment, but have had issues with my car pulling to the right since I purchased it. We picked up my car and it still pulled to the right, so we took it back to precision auto and they took another look at it free of charge. Although my car was still pulling to the right after taking it back a second time, it was much better. We took it over to the dealership and they said whomever did the alignment did a really great job. We will be going back for future services. read more

I would not recommend them overall. The reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is simply that their oil change and tire rotation service seems to be fairly priced and problem free. I give 2 stars because recently my girlfriend went there to have them install a window regulator and they were extremely unprofessional in the way that they handled the situation. Even though the car isn't in prime condition, they made several rude and judgmental comments about the state of the car. Along with this, they lost bolts that went in the outer door panel and then accused us of not bringing in all of the necessary parts to fully assemble the door. The manager that we spoke to did not seem to care about any grievance that we had and simply beat around the bush with terminology that was not pertinent to the situation, as well as stating insulting comments about the door handle that was broken. (Granted not precision tune's fault for the handle). Along with this, the upcharge on the window regulator was around 300% of retail and the labor cost was more than it should have been. TL;DR The customer service is poor and they refuse to take accountability for their wrongs. Once again do not recommend. read more

I dropped my car off at 8:15am for a diagnostic, 15 minutes after the location opened for business. There were no other customers in the waiting area, so I assumed my vehicle would be looked at that morning. When I had not received a call regarding the diagnostic results by lunch time, I called Precision Tune. I was told that my car was next to be brought into the bay. Although I was puzzled as to why it hadn't already been brought in, I trusted the technician's word and gave them the benefit of the doubt. At 4:30pm, I decided to go to the shop and see what was happening with my vehicle. EIGHT hours after being dropped off, my vehicle was still parked in the exact same parking space that I left it. With the waiting room filled with customers and the bays filled with cars, I was LIVID!!!! I couldn't believe that my service was deferred for other customers! I asked for my keys and left. I will NEVER EVER use Precision Tune again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. read more
