My husband, myself and our daughter pulled up at 8:50pm Saturday, sign said they were open till 9pm. As we were walking to the door the girl walks to the other side and locks it. I look at her and then look at my watch. She shrugs her shoulders and walks away after looking at us standing there. Just got a sub from this location yesterday, everyone working was following Covid guidelines and the place was spotless. Walked in 20 mins before 8pm. Employees where loudly hanging out, but did not say hello to us when we arrived. I had to ask if an employee was helping us as No-one acknowledged us. There were no other customers. We ordered two sandwiches, which took 16mins to make. Then they followed us to the door and locked up early. One of our sandwiches did not have the peppers we asked for and neither sandwich was cut through. Literally, the top bun was cut, but i had to rip the meat and bottom bun with our hands. Now I understand why this location has such bad reviews. Get new staff or make them learn customer service. read more

The food was pretty good, they use premium meat which you can see right in their fridge. They have tons of sauces for you to try out inside of the place and even small containers for you to take some home. I wish I was told I could add additional toppings on my first time going there, the worker just kinda told me what it came with. One thing I didn't like was the Manager gave one of the employees a "talkin' to" right behind the register while I was standing there. It made it a bit awkward so I walked around the store a bit to ignore him. With all the sauce they give you on some sandwiches, I'd wish they wouldn't cut the bread completely in half, but instead do it like Subway does. It was pretty messy. read more

Sunday May 6th, 2018 we visited the Firehouse Subs in Maple Grove Mn. The service was horrific but at least the food was good. The woman taking the order did a fine job of taking our order but it took about 20 minutes to get our sandwiches. I had to go ask for 2 of the sandwiches that were done and getting cold while we were waiting for the other 2. When my husband finally received his sub it was cold. He went up to the counter, told the sandwich making the sub was cold and she simply took the sandwich tray, set it down and continued to make other peoples sandwiches. About 5 minutes later, a woman brought him a sandwich that was made incorrectly. So my husband walked up to the counter and said this sandwich is wrong, can I just have my money back. (the rest of the family was done eating by now) The sandwich maker replied back " Our manager just left because he might be having a heartache if you care at all! and we have other customers waiting." Now I am very sorry if he truly was having a heartache but when we say him leave he did not look in distress. However that is not the point, she handled the entire situation poorly. She should have said" I am very sorry, we are worried about our manage who just left ill and we are making mistakes. Of course I will refund your money and here's a gift card to come back again." I have run customer service departments for over 15 years and this is NOT how you speak to a customer. She would have been fired if she was my employee. I walked in at about 3pm so it was slow. one guy behind the counter and one lady mopping. neither acknowledged my existence until about a couple minutes of standing at the register. I ordered a steak and cheddar sub. she asked if I wanted mayo and BBQ sauce I asked for no mayo. got the sub a few minutes later. When i got to my car to enjoy it, it was so covered in grease the bread was falling apart soggy and I could only taste mayo. This is my worst experience at a firehouse subs. read more

I know with fast food places you can't expect much in the way of customer service. But if the employees are bad at customer service they should either work in the back or find a different job. The teenage girl who works here on Friday nights did not acknowledge us as we came in and we had to stare at her for an entire minute or two while she looked at the floor and picked her nails. Not once saying anything, not a welcome, hi, or even I'll be with you in a minute or let me know when you're ready to order. Then we just left because we were so annoyed. It is such a pet peeve of mine to see people in service jobs to have zero customer service skills. I know people aren't lining up for this job, but those that do should be properly trained and forced to do the job they're getting paid for. read more

Very good warm subs at a reasonable price. I tend to eat a lot, and I can order a single sandwich to satisfy my hunger (which says a lot). Staff is always very friendly and there is a fairly large selection of sandwiches. There isn't a whole lot of space in their location, so expect people standing close to you while you eat, when they are in line (no big deal really). read more

I was impressed. There is kind of a saturation of sandwich joints, but this one is good and unique. They steam their meat, which makes it very juicy and flavorful. I had the smokehouse brisket and cheddar and it was great. Enough variety to meet probably anyone's taste and a ton of hot sauces to customize to your personal taste. Extremely friendly staff too. the subs are Great! All fresh ingredients. VERY filling! The kids meals are great too. Plenty enough for any child! Very clean place. Employees are so nice too! Sandwiches not made to order, and ham tasted weird. I've been to FHS a half a dozen times now. The employees are not too friendly. They are generally polite, but I feel like I'm interrupting their fun, and they are a little mad at me. The first and last visit, I ordered the Italian. I thought the first time they made a mistake, but found out this time they use honey ham, heavy on the honey. That might be good for a ham sandwich, but it is way off for an Italian. Honey on salami and pepperoni? Do you put honey on a pizza? The big disappointment on this last order was that they ignored the details of my online order. Online, you can customize the sandwich. I paid for extras, and asked for some things to be excluded. When I got home, I found they made everything to their default. They didn't even include the stuff that cost me extra. This place has a lot of potential, but is off my list due to attitude, inaccuracy, and some goofy ingredients. read more
