The one well-behaved employee was quietly stocking chips and being productive and not engaging with the kitchen and line crew. The bacon was not fresh. The salad was not made as requested (missing requested toppings). This location was on my way home from work and I will never come back. I hope someone from Firehouse Subs corporate does one of those disguised visits and witnesses this kind of behavior. They had a "Now Hiring" sign outside. Despite the bad experience my first time at Firehouse, I decided to try them again. Once again they failed. This time I knew to ask for cold meat and cheese, only toast the bread because the first time everything was hot with no signage stating all subs come warm. Despite that my sub was warm again! I thought maybe the bread was so hot it made the meat warm, but I didn't see any cheese. I went and told the employee and he said " the cheese is melted" and I said, but I asked for cold meat and cheese, his response was " and it's on the ticket". Mind you, he took my order and made it. I visited to take advantage of my T-Mobile Tuesday offer. First, the app that I am forced to order on apparently had glitches as my order was incomplete due to an error. So, I had to wait an additional 20 minutes despite having placed my order in advance. This was apparently a wide spread occurrence as I observed other patrons experiencing the same inconvenience. To add insult to injury a staff member, very audibly commented that he would call out of work for the entire week at the next T-Mobile Tuesday offer. The dining room could have used some tidying up. i get the Itslian and it has so many flavors busting out in every bite. The best sub by far than anywhere and I'm from Louisiana home of the sub. I eat this once a week or try to. First I'd like to say I'm not sure how this place snuck up on me without me being invited to the grand opening. Welcome to the neighborhood I now have a sub shop that I can go to for a sub the way I make it. Warm meet makes a sub taste so much better. Yeah I know you can get it grilled at other spots, however, this beats that. The bread is fresh the veggies are fresh in the meat tastes like it's fresh. Just moist and juicy. Yes I said juicy. The customer service in there is awesome. They took my order I sat down watched a little bit of Sports Center, yes there are two TVs both on two separate Sport channels. On 1a a game was playing on the other sports center was playing. Almost in heaven. I couldn't find Wi-Fi and that would be the only reason it wasn't 5 stars I like a place I can come and spend hours in. The only way I can do that is if I can work. However this is perfect for a quick getaway for lunch. Clean and plenty of cool art and artifacts to look at for the kids. I even think I smelled smoke from the used fire and rescue gear hanging on the coat rack. Cool feature. Sandwiches are definitely good. And if you dine in unlike I did. Like many other restaurants nearby, they give you a number and they bring the food to the table. All I heard was courteous employees handling their business at a very high level. Great job. I grab food from Woodmore town center often and had no desire to visit this store. My husband and I got an offer for free sandwiches here so we decided to check it out. The place was clean and professional. We both got an "engineer" sandwich and were blown away by the quality. The bread was delicious and the sandwich was busting with delicious meat. They do not skimp! The only problem, was on the first order - my sandwich was a bit soggy, so from then on i just indicate in the notes that i want it less soggy. This was not my favorite Italian sub because it was too sweet. The small is very small but hit the spot for me for lunch. Actually, the small is about 4 inches and a bit pricier than Subway. The meat was flavorful and topped with provolone cheese then lightly toasted. The bread, lettuce, tomato and onion was fresh. The mayo and mustard were fine but the Italian dressing ruined it for me. Can I just say how amazing this place is ! Their subs are so fresh and always taste so amazing. I just had to write a review about this location because this location is just the best. They are so close to home and I can literally get here in 5 minutes. The girl at the register is always there and she is so nice and sweet every time I go there. I am always greeted and they just smile away for their customers. The only thing that I don't like is the wait for your sandwich. Especially if they are super busy. However, I would rather have a nice fresh sandwich with quality over having a quick made to order sandwich. If you are in this area - I recommend coming here. I asked the very nice young lady (she was wearing glasses and I hate that I forget her name) if the order reflected extra bacon and she said no. The sandwiches are great. The ham is the best I've had if any sandwich place like this. My problem with this location is the customer service is virtually nonexistent. Even at 10:55am when I was the only customer I still waited for 3 minutes to pick up my order that I placed through the app that was ready at 10:45. I didn't have to wait for them to make it, I just had to wait to be acknowledged by the staff of 4 who were all looking at me stand at the register waiting to pick up my sandwich. The worst part is the rewards program which is a great perk. The problem is the people working at this location don't seem to like to let you get your rewards points. Twice I have attempted to put my number into the reader and they have cashed me out before I could finish. Then they have told me "You need to put it in faster." No you need to let me put the number in. It's a little thing that adds up to a lot for me. I can go to Subway and not get as good a sandwich, but they will at least greet me when I enter and serve me with a smile. Fresh faces with cheerful greetings. You can tell that a few of them are new but they were on point and doing what they had to do to make sure you were happy with your order and it was processed correctly. I have tried there club sub, Italian sub, steak and cheese and meatball sub...DELICIOUS!! The meat is fresh and full of flavor. The bread is good. Now here is my only...well it's not a complaint because I do realize that each sub shop not only represents there meat but also the bread. Having said that, when you get a sub from here you have to eat it as soon as possible. Depending upon what you get on your sub it could cause your bread to get soggy. I typically add oil and vinegar to my subs and this contributes to a soggy sandwich later that night, especially the next day. Time #1 They accidentally put a customer in front of me who had earned or had a coupon for a free sub on my bill. I am a family of six and didn't think anything about it until I had 7 subs. I just thought they are awfully expensive. Time #2 After watching two people return there food. I cringed as they brought my to go white bread sub out in a eat in basket ( oh and it was on wheat) sigh Time #3 Four young people behind the counter. Three customers waiting for 15 min. How? This is probably my new favorite sub shop! I'm upset that I didn't try them out sooner. First off, I love the theme and atmosphere of Firehouse! I truly feel like I'm walking into a fire station that so happens to sell subs and sandwiches lol. The menu is original and isn't overwhelming with all sorts of combinations and toppings. Instead it's just enough and includes the perfect amount of subs and additional toppings that will change your life! During my visit, I tried the classic club and it may have been the best I've ever had. Paired with a bag of chips and their in house sweet tea, I was a happy camper! The cherry on top was the vast selection of sauces to choose from to accompany my sub. The selection ranged from BBQ-esk type sauces to hot as hell type sauces. All of them are labeled with a number ranging from 1-10 that helps explain what level of madness you're getting yourself into. As a fan of spicy foods and daredevil that I am, I tried an Habanero hot sauce that was surprisingly only rated at 7! I can only imagine how hot a rated 10 sauce would be. Remember balance is key. If you try a high rated sauce, try a dot on each bite. You want to make sure you can still enjoy your sub and also have your taste buds after your meal. All in all great experience! Unlike any other locations this location will NOT toast the meat instead of steaming it, they say "we are not allowed to toast the meat company policy" however when I told them that I've done it at every other location their tone changed to "the policy at this location is different" steamed meat is okay but toasting the meat gives a much better flavor and if they won't do it here I won't support this location. read more
