I was craving breakfast this morning, so I checked Yelp and ended up here. I placed my order, which was ready in a short time. The place is a small, mom-and-pop shop with a few seats available for dining in if needed. The gentleman at the register was pretty nice. He provided me with a menu at my request. He advised me quickly that it was cash only, as I had missed the signage on the door that reads, "No credit or debit cards, cash only." My beef sausage, egg, and cheese was pretty tasty, so good that I wish I had grabbed two. Lol I also purchased a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich for my grandmother, and she too enjoyed every bit of it! About a 2-2.5: The Forest Square Deli is located in a small strip mall off of Parston Drive. I was in the area for work, and as it was around lunch time, I decided to check this little place out. Owned and operated by a Korean family, the menu is quite extensive. They offer a variety of breakfast platters, subs, sandwiches, hot dogs, and combo meals. I tried their #1 combo meal, the Steak & Cheese, which came with a side of fries and a medium-sized drink. The Steak & Cheese was hot off the grill, but I felt as if there could have been more seasoning, more cheese, and more mayo spread. The bread itself was soft, though! The fries had slightly of an old-oil taste to them and of a generous amount. The staff here prepares your food quickly and efficiently and are all pretty sweet and friendly. There are only 3 tables inside, but most of the locals seem to just call ahead for a carry-out. Wow... all I've had is the chicken cheesesteak so far. But it's because the chicken cheesesteak has been so good to me that I don't want to try anything else. The place seems to be pretty popular for its cheesesteaks as well. The bread is actually better quality than some of the other delis I've been to. This is my favorite breakfast spot. The people are very friendly and you don't wait too long for your food. Their bacon, egg & cheese on toast is my favorite and only costs me about $3. They have great platters as well that include grits and fried potatoes. Best part is that they sell breakfast all day. They sell lunch food as well. My favorite lunch is there steak & cheese.
