First time trying this spot. I'll definitely be back. Though they are known for sandwhiches, I got the wings and baaabbbyyy I almost crashed my car driving home they were so good. Hb flavor is like a habanero but sweet but definitely spicy (hope that makes sense). Just to get some and change your life !

MUST TRY! I love seafood. The service was quick. I called in my order before I arrived. I planned to purchase the crab cake, but they were sold out. The salmon cake was the next best option and it did not disappoint! It was super filling very tasty! The bun was also toasted and I loved the sauce on the side. I will be back for the crab cake. Amazing!

You have no idea. This food was so flavorful and made with love. It's black owned and doing so well! The crab cake sandwich has no fillers and well seasoned. The hot dog toppings were so tasty, I was in heaven. We went at lunchtime, the food took a bit of time to cook due to all the ppl in line. There are sandwiches, salads, wings, side and fresh juices. The food is made to order y'all!

This deli has been around for many many many years. While their have been several management companies own the place, the current company is one of the best. The new company had updated the decor and made the place more modern. However, the staff lacks top-level professionalism. I feel they are on a good track, however, some thing needs to be improved. The prices have increased greatly and the quality of many old school items have decreased (including the fried chicken salad and the steak n cheese sandwiches). The cake are amazing!

These crab cakes are to die for! As someone who is constantly disappointed by the dryness and cost of the fancy crab cakes around town, I was genuinely surprised by how moist and tasty these crab cakes were. It's a little messy to eat as a sandwich so I would recommend that you get bread on the side to balance out the authentic crab fish flavor.

Just ordered a 1/4 on crab cake... BIG MISTAKE!! I'm now waiting for my 1/2 lb crab cake sandwich to be made because I absolutely did NOT get enough the first time!!! I asked for mango habanero sauce on the side (tastes like a spicy honey mustard) and I mh St say-- this is easily the absolute best crab cake I have ever eaten in my entire life. I almost gave up on crab cakes after being disappointed numerous times. Too much filling, too salty, whatever. They need to come to this place and take notes. I don't have any pics of the first sandwich cuz I ate it too fast but I'll be posting the second one here because I think I can control myself long enough t do so.... Black owned business, incredible food, what more can I ask for? I would've loved fries on the side but I'm very happy! I feel like driving 8 hours to DC was all worth it just because of this sandwich!!

It was moderately busy, with a mix of dine-in guests and folks grabbing orders to go. On a hot day, the air-conditioned space was a welcome relief. That said, the dining area felt a bit too small for us and all our shopping bags, so we opted to take our food to go. We ordered the lemon pepper wings, a spicy chicken sandwich, and fries. Everything is made fresh to order, so it took about 7-10 minutes to be ready. As we were waiting, a hot, crispy batch of chicken tenders came out, and we couldn't help but admire them. The server caught our gaze and, with a smile, whispered, "We make hot order for you..." We grinned and placed a second order on the spot--lol. The food didn't disappoint! Everything was hot, crispy, and well-seasoned without being overly salty. Just good, flavorful comfort food that hit the spot.

The service is extra dry to begin and food is basic. 6 wings for $9.99 plus of course you can add a drink for an additional $3.99 or add drink and fries for an extra $5.99.....$15.98 wouldn't be bad IF the food was worth it. My lemon pepper wings had no taste. Cooked too hard and definitely was not enjoyable so I tossed them. And sadly, another individual tossed his catfish sandwich right before I tossed my food....They tried but I'm good.

I've eaten at plenty of delis over the years, but Eddie's Little Shop completely surprised me with flavors I've genuinely never tasted before. The sandwiches here are incredibly unique, creative combinations that just explode with flavor in ways I wasn't expecting. What really stood out were the huge, fresh chunks of real mozzarella, paired with their homemade-style dressings, sauces, and condiments. It's easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, and I've tried a lot. The portions are generous, the bread is spot-on. I'll definitely be back before my trip ends. If you're in Arlington, do not miss Eddie's Little Shop Deli. Highly, highly recommended!

Saturday, midafternoon, I stop by for an Eddie Mootz ($17) (salami, ham, sopressata, mozzarella, on seeded italian). I'm handed this brown paper bag that weighs, I dunno, 3 lbs? I have to carry this back with me to the Metro. Twice along the way, I have to stop and catch my breath. I get home, my kitchen counter sags a bit where I put the bag down. Cripes, Eddie's. And the sandwich itself? 2 meals, easily. Thick thick piles of meat and a shovel-full of mozzarella. Very chewy bread. I work up a sweat just eating this, there's so much labor involved. I ordered online from the Metro, around the DCA stop, and got a notification it was ready before I got to the King Street stop. Fast turnaround. Eddie's is now on my list of places to make a point of going to for sandwiches in the DMV. Really good sandwich, and a lot of it.

Capo Italian Deli - Old Town Alexandria…read more I reviewed our new Old Town neighbor - Capo Italian Deli - early in 2026. Time for an update. The deli is outstanding. Taking up a tiny footprint on the N. Washington Avenue thoroughfare, a few seconds from King Street, the deli delivers both hot and cold deli entrees, soft drinks, and salads. There's maybe half a dozen tables inside and a couple of tables outside, but from what I have seen thus far, most of the trade is with carry-out service, drawing from the excellent reputation Capo brought with it as it arrived in Old Town (the restaurant has siblings in Shaw NW, and Western Market in the District, Tyson's Corner in Vienna, VA, Annapolis and Potomac, MD). Fresh Philly rolls for those seeking a traditional hero sandwich, with go-to seasonings and all of the essential protein groups. My favorite is a large half roast beef half turkey with lettuce, tomato, and mayo (I skip the Italian dressing, which is part of the default, and I skip the cheese). I can and have made this $18 sandwich last three meals (so I ask them to cut the sandwich into three pieces), and the ingredients stay fresh for the next 24 hours. The last time I did this the sandwich fed me from 4:45 a.m. to 9 p.m., as I served as an election officer at one of Alexandria's polling places. Neat, trim, and completely satisfying. Just a point of concern: given its location, the opportunity to double-park while picking up an order seems to be just too tempting. This location, however, cannot over the long term sustain double-parkers. The deli is about 100 feet from the intersection of King Street and N. Washington Street. There is a dedicated lane for cars seeking to park adjacent to the deli. And then there are two northbound lanes on N. Washington Street. That's it - just two lanes serving one of the busiest intersections in Old Town. If a delivery-service car pulls up alongside one of the parked cars, all hell will break loose by drivers who suddenly find a delivery vehicle double-parking in front of Capo, leaving but one northbound lane open for however long it takes for the delivery agent to gather the order and beat it out of there. This happens with remarkable frequency, starting at about 11 a.m. and running throughout the day. That's not going to make good neighbors of Capo's nearby shops. Alexandria Parking has its work cut out for it, but here the rule prohibiting double-parking has to be enforced - it's both a safety issue and an issue of common courtesy. Doesn't matter if you think you'll just be in and out of the deli in seconds. We know it doesn't work that way, not always, and here - not even often. More often than not the double-parker will be creating a traffic hazard just by parking alongside a parked car in front of the deli. Please, don't do this.

This review is based solely on the customer service I received over the phone…read more I had placed a $62 order through DoorDash and chose Capo even though there are plenty of other deli spots nearby, because they normally make really good sandwiches. Unfortunately, the customer service this time was extremely disappointing. I called with a simple question about the bread since I have braces and needed something soft. The person who answered the phone was rude and dismissive, acting as if my call was an inconvenience. When I asked which bread was the softest, he cut me off to say they were "super busy" and could only change the bread on one sandwich, not both. I asked again for clarification, and he continued sounding irritated and uninterested in helping. He repeated that they had a line of people and needed to know which one sandwich I wanted to change. For the amount I paid, the lack of basic courtesy and willingness to answer a straightforward question was unacceptable. This will be my last time ordering from Capo in Alexandria, VA.

Who knew that there would be a cafe in Pentagon City with this option? The interior is a bit cramped with many cardboard boxes piling up. BRAISED PORK OVER RICE (卤肉饭) - 15.49 Lots of rice, more rice than I could finish with the amount of braised pork belly they give. The pork was very fatty, which made it tasty and juicy, but it wasn't very saucy. There were two halves of a bokchoy and half of an incredibly boiled egg, which was meh.
