Ordering was simple a kiosk when I got to the restaurant. I got a papa Eddie. It came with like an au Jus to dip the sandwich in. It was very good, the brisket was good and the bread worked well with dip. The sandwich price wasn't bad but a can of soda was $3. I probably would get something to drink elsewhere if you're thirsty. There was a small bar with some seating to eat at.

Great new Jewish Deli across from Nats Park! My wife and I went before a game and got The Papa Eddie and an Italian Beef special as well as potato salad, a coffee drink, and a beer. The staff were friendly and the seating is very limited to several bar stools. Everything was amazing and we look forward. We look forward to returning and trying new items.

Right across the street from Nationals Park is Beresovsky's Deli, a deli that serves large sandwiches for under $15. Meeting a friend for lunch, I ordered the "Herbert's Fave" with pastrami, slaw, and mustard on marble rye. It was very filling, messy, and tasty! I added a soda and chips making my bill just under $20. There are a few window seats inside, but the main seating is outside. Restrooms are inside the Gatsby, a restaurant next door owned by the same group.

Jewish-ish deli: a couple of the sandwiches have bacon on them :p this is not Second Avenue Deli but it seems like a nice addition to the area. Prices are very reasonable for the sandwiches. The "Marc's Mashup" was really good. With bacon haha. It's basically a chicken club with roasted red pepper added and on challah. Very tasty, I recommend. The brisket isn't the beeeest ever but the sandwich was a huge and a good value. The perogis and knish are good too. Again, not the planet's best but enjoyable. I will be back for more sandwiches for sure.

It's obvious just looking at it that this cucumber hasn't matured into pickle yet

Good service and sandwich but "pickle" is just a slightly dilly cucumber. Also frustrated that we still can't use the door closest to the counter. Some colleagues and I went for lunch today. I got Herbert's Fave with a pickle on the side. The sandwich was delicious: plenty of filling, very tender pastrami, nice bread, and just the right amount of grease. Very filling without being gratuitous. Price feels reasonable for the amount of meat and the homemade bread. A major flub related to their first week is the "pickle". It's still just a crunchy cucumber with a hint of brine and dill. These are not ready for prime time--especially for the extra charge of $1.49. I expect that's related to just opening, but that's no excuse, especially for a deli. The brownies smelled and looked good, but be aware that the black and white cookies looked more like nibbles with how small they are. Why?? That and the pickle feel like dumb, fundamental unforced errors. Still worth going, just isn't up to snuff at this point and what I expect from this brand.

    Typical GF sandwich 1/2.

Usually I love this place. Just had a 1 star sando though so dropping some feedback. I order gluten free sandwiches and the bread is usually toasted so nice, sandwich wrapped so neatly, it's a delicious experience. However this time I was given a to-go box with raw GF bread and ingredients. Raw, cold GF bread falls apart easy, doesn't taste so good, dissolves in the dip so I couldn't use the dip. Everything was cold because it wasn't wrapped. It all just fell apart. Attached pic of what I got this time, which was bad, and some previous sandwiches which were great!

gahhhhhdawmmmm - dc may have 4,000 Mediterranean restaurants and 2,500 Ethiopian spots, but you know what they don't have?!? simple nyc style delis. why? why. - beresvoskys is absolutely filling a culinary void. maybe once this place gains popularity, it'll start a movement of new delis & perhaps begin to charge what actual classic oldschool nyc delis charge - my only qualm is that they don't list the price of their specials and this sandwich was $17.... other sandwiches are $13-15, but this is not the cheap casual deli it needs to be - okay okay okay let's talk about the MEAT. when people say meat can melt in your mouth....they meant this meat. this pastrami was expertly charred on the edges while still being the softest most tender slices I've ever hard. using a fork you couldn't even pick up the meat as it fell apart at the touch - horseradish sauce side was a great size, perfect combo of that ridiculous tang and creamy cool flavor - I ordered just a 1/2 lb of pastrami for $8. it was stunning, juicy, and I can't name another place in dc proper with this type of menu options

I was so excited to find out that a NYC-style Jewish deli was coming to Navy Yard. KNEAD knocked it out of the park with Beresovsky's. Having dietary restrictions, it was such a relief that to find you order through a touch pad, because I hate having to micromanage my order so I don't get sick. I got the Marc's Mashup on gluten free bread, and my partner ordered the Chicago Italian Beef special. We both loved ours. Oh, and, the portions are huge.

Wow! Great food, great value!! Nice find in the neighborhood! Loaded with tender meat and lots of flavor! I'll definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Ordered the Herbert's fave and it was absolutely delicious. The pastrami was so deliciously tender and the sandwiches are a great price for what you get. I ordered for pick up so can't speak much to the service, but the staff was friendly and seemed like they were handling the crowd well. Great addition to the neighborhood!

This is my second time coming for a private event…read moreand both times I've come, I've said out loud, "I should order takeout from them once a week!!" They operate a deli counter in the front and a bar / speakeasy in the back. You can rent out the bar space for private events. Last night, we had the space (and a bartender!) to ourselves, along with 3-4 different types of sandwiches. There is something SPECIAL about their seeded Italian bread. The perfect flakiness and texture. I enjoyed the chicken fontina and Italian. The caprese was my least favorite--not sure if they use a balsamic or what, but the flavor wasn't coming through. Before I left, I decided to order a large chicken cheesesteak to take home for lunch the next day. It was a bit of a risk to order a hot sandwich that I would have in the fridge overnight but I heated it up in our air fryer/toaster oven for all of 10 mins and the bread was good (not soggy) and the sandwich itself was delicious. I enjoyed it so much, I didn't stop to take a photo until the last bite :) It's a decent size sandwich--I ate half for lunch (along with my own chips and veggies) and have another half for tomorrow so while it's not cheap, I think it's reasonable.

We also really appreciated the friendly service and staff members we came across during our time there. The first day I ordered an everything bagel with veggies and cream cheese -- I took out the bacon and the price of the sandwich decreased by $3. The second time I ordered an egg and cheese everything bagel with avocado and latke. The latke was just okay and didn't add much to my sandwich. The everything bagels were really good as well with plenty of seasoning but I think they were a little tougher for our taste (a perfect bagel would be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but the inside was a little tough and the outside wasn't crispy). For a coffee, two bagels, tax and tip, we paid about $32, so they are a bit on the pricier side. But the staff are very kind to the community. The place gets super busy around 9 am, so we learned to just order online the next time and our food was ready within 15 minutes. Other people and us on the first day were waiting over 20 minutes otherwise for our food, which I know can be frustrating. Very popular bagel shop.

The Castellano had a crisped pile of gorgeous beef, with crispy fries, and super fresh veggies (basically a cheeseburger on a sub). My husband ordered this one, so I didn't taste it personally but he absolutely LOVED it. The Thommy, The Three Fingers is a chopped cheese. It's, by god, the best I've ever had in my life. I add peppers, provolone and mayo and an extra side of tzatziki (labeled garlic cucumber on the menu), and oil and vinegar (which tastes like Italian dressing, but who's counting?). The bread is phenomenal. I may literally just order a sub roll with no ingredients one day, just so I can eat it toasted with butter, with every meal I have. It's soft and fluffy, crispy and chewy all at the same time. (It almost gives bagel, but not tough). I also got the y cheesecake. Not as special, perhaps from the Cysco truck (iykyk), but I still bought it and scarfed it down. Strawberry topping was def the average canned-strawberry topping (but I personally love that). I cannot stress, the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! As for service, the entire team is so friendly and helpful. They kid around, make silly jokes and make sure your order is prepared fresh and fast. It isn't "fast food fast", but also doesn't taste like shit either, so the wait is worth it. At most 10-15 min if you don't call ahead. As for seating, in winter there are only two two-tops so seating is extremely limited. It is mostly a deli-and-get-outta-here kind of place, but nonetheless welcoming and charming. They have tons of Italian memorabilia all over the walls including giant GodFather posters, taxi plates and more. Today was my first time inside, but I've had my husband go pick up food several times on the way home. I cannot live without one of these subs AT MINIMUM once a month.
