You can do way way better! Two young female employees working Tuesday 8/12, around 6:50pm were very rude and unprofessional. One of the staff was even eating at a table on the job. They had an attitude as if asking them for a paper bag was interrupting their conversation. The tables were dirty which should be an easy fix seeing as how they are never busy at all. The table next to the fire extinguisher smelt like vomit. Since firehouse is from Jacksonville, you would think they would take a little more pride in their work. There is a lot of room for improvement. Cleanliness, and customer service need a lot of attention. Please work on it ASAP. Worst firehouse I've been to period. read more

October 20, 2024 - Our group of 12 came in for dinner. Touch screens to place order(s), but NO hand cleaner. Gross!! Lots of parking, and friendly/helpful staff. Very very very dirty. Very very very slow. Will not be back. I've been to many firehouse locations. This location is embarrassing. Bathroom closed because it is dirty. Drink machine is out of most drinks and absolutely disgusting. Only about half the chips are available. One nice guy is working trying to do everything while his teen coworker is watching tik toks walking between the back room and the restroom doing nothing but distracting the other guy. It has been over 30 minutes to get a sub and there's only 3 people in here. read more

Sandwich I occasionally get a sandwich from here the first time it seemed like it had more meat in it than my second visit. So I guess it depends on who's making your sandwich? I would say the staff isn't really overly friendly. Too serious I always greet a client with a smile and an attitude like I'm happy to be there! And I just don't get this, but overall I like the turkey, avocado ranch, and the Hook and ladder as my favorite two subs. It would be nice if they offered lettuce wrap sandwiches as well. Otherwise I have to go down the street to Jimmy John's... It just depends on my mood, I will say I go to Jimmy John's more than I do firehouse subs because bread will make it thick! read more

Ive Ordered from Firehouse before, it was quick you received your order quickly!! Now when you order off yelp instead of firehouse your ordering from Grubhub!! The order wasn't scheduled for pick up for 30 min on pick up my warm sub was instead room temp!! In the future I'll order directly from firehouse and bypass the app!! read more

I really like Firehouse, normally a bit pricey but well worth it. So when I see it across the road from my hotel I jumped on it. I ordered it fully involved and made it a combo. The lady at the cash register was overwhelmed from the start. But how she made a sandwich that is normally wet from the steaming dry and void of taste is a new on me. The manager should have been the main interaction but his team should know better. Save your money and go else where there is nothing good to see here. This is a great place to go for cooked sandwiches that sets itself apart from other sandwiches bars. They provide a hot sauce bar for that extra kick. I suggest getting the extra chips and drink to fill your appetite up. I like to put chips inside my sub for an added crunch. I prefer the firehouse subs locations with outside seating so the whole family can come along. read more

Well shame on me, because I said never again, and there I went on Sunday. This time I didn't try calling, thought with all the Coronavirus issues, I could probably walk right in and out. Saw two people order in front of me. A few tables waiting for food, but pretty empty. 15 minutes after my order was keyed in, I went up and questioned what the issue was. Three people behind the line and you can't get two sandwiches out in less than 15 minutes? With everything going on, I feel terrible for the restaurant industry and employees, but this is not a way to encourage customers. Never again and I mean it. read more

We are regulars to this firehouse location. The last few visits have not gone well. Our last visit had a problem with the soda machine. When management was informed they did not help until five minutes later. The time may not mean much except there was only one other customer at that time and a cashier was taking their order. The manager did see we were upset and apologized. The manager even comped us a free drink after the fact. read more

We came here on a slow night (Friday), and service was exemplary! My husband and I split the large Engine Company (no longer on the menu-turkey and roast beef) and made it a combo. Our sub came out in a timely manner given there were 3 other customers in the restaurant. The only thing that I have "beef" with is their quantity of meat. A few years ago, all subs came with more meat, and I was reminded of this again on our most recent visit. For this reason, it's hard for me to justify coming here knowing this although quality is well above other sub chains. The restaurant overall was very clean (including the bathroom)! I came in and ordered the Turkey Bacon Ranch. I asked for a small but was accidentally charged for a medium. The two men that were there quickly reached out and told me about the mistake and reassured me that I could get a quick refund for it. I insisted because I was really hungry. They made the sub very quickly and it was delicious!!! They even wrote "sorry again" on my box and gave me a cookie. Definitely recommend the Turkey Bacon Ranch sub! read more

Waited 8 minutes in line behind 2 customers. Firehouse associate couldn't figure out the simple order. Ended up over charging customer -- after a brief conversation, not sure who won. Was then told my single sandwich order would take 25 minutes. There were several people behind the counter -- appeared to be a leadership problem. Will never go back. Very sad. read more

Every time we've gone in, the wait is ridiculous. I ordered through bitesquad with a specific delivery time for my childs lunch at school. I was tracking the time and it kept getting pushed back. I placed the order at 8:30 am BEFORE they even opened, so order was placed 3 hours before needed, 2 hours before they opened. I gave a 20 minute leeway/cushion in anticipation of their slowness at this location. I continued to get delayed progress updates. In contacting the BiteSquad customer service, I was informed there was a delay in processing at the restaurant. I tried for 30 minutes to call the restaurant and continued to get a busy signal. Not happy at all. Will no longer visit or order from this location. read more

Worst firehouse ever! I repeatedly said just meat and cheese on my philly steak sub because I'm allergic to onions and mushrooms and they made it with extra onions and mushrooms. I can't even eat it I got it to go because I was in a rush and don't have the time to go back and ask them to make it right. As well as I've never had a philly that came with mayo or mustard that was disappointing to know that the staff doesn't know how to make a signature sub. read more

I can't be sure if this is correct firehouse sub or the one on beaches as they don't print their address on the receipt. We always loved firehouse sub but when we visited Jacksonville fl, 10/31/2018 @ 1:42:52 pm, cashier Shanica , order# 256268 we aren't sure if we were punked or just inept employees. We took the subs back to our hotel room where we found they extremely, heavily loaded mayonnaise on our subs making them uneditible. We would have taken them back but we were already in our hotel getting ready to go out so we half picked at what we could salvage, threw them out, and vowed never to go there again. That experience totally turned me off from FIREHOUSE SUBS ever again. read more

Truth be told I had no plans on eating lunch out of the office yesterday, but while checking my email I saw that Firehouse was offering a coupon deal and all I had to do was come up with a caption for a photo featuring their meatball sub. Done! I came up with my caption....picture a presidential pin with the meatball sub on it and the caption reads, Vote for the Meatball because you can't lose with it!"....clever right? So I printed off my coupon and proceeded to my nearest location. I ordered the medium meatball on white and I got the chips and drink for free. I love that Firehouse Subs always offers you the opportunity to round up your total towards a charity (which is usually something related to firefighters) but on this particular day they were offering the support towards victims of hurricane Sandy. Such an easy way to give back. I received my sub quickly and it was piping hot, almost too hot, but way better than it being served cold so I'll take it. It was my first time ever ordering the meatball sub and while I wouldn't order it again, it's not because I didn't enjoy it but more due to just personal preference. However if you're a fan of those kind of sandwiches I imagine that you'll enjoy the ones that Firehouse has to offer. read more

Angie's is right down the street so I'm not sure why anyone would voluntarily eat here. I was once with a girl who demanded firehouse so I ate here one time and that was enough. I ordered a salad with turkey and the lettuce was more brown than green. I asked for fresh lettuce and was informed that it was the best they had. Wow.
